Chapter 3 Velvet's Choice

Velvet Remedy began to get close to the center stage. Another day in Stable 2 for her, amd this place was too much for her to be in, especially with the Overmare in charge. Velvet Remedy was too cooped up in the place, and to be honest......part of her just wanted to leave. She wanted to get out, she wanted to be free, but she would have to save such a thought for later. All she had to do was put on that fake, beautiful smile. It was easier for her to hide her pain, and that meant their was only one thing she could do. She approached the small microphone, as she felt her breathed slowly. On the small wooden stage, Velvet Remedy had only one Spotlight on her, but that didn't matter.

With her talent, and her voice ready.......she let her beautiful, unique, angelic voice, carry across the crowd, while letting her magic bring up the flair.

The crowd went crazy over her singing as her Pipbuck broadcast ended, and she stepped off stage. Velvet Remedy went into the powder room, managing to take off her stage make-up. After putting on the normal make-up she wore, she began to stroll down the hallways of Stable 2. She mostly kept to herself, and finally entered her rather horrible quarter's, before collapsing onto her bed. She looked up, at the pale gray ceiling, not really wanting the luxury of doing anything. She felt a sharp pain in her eyes, as she growled, feeling something trying to burst out of her. She did her best to hold.....whatever it was back as the effect finally wore off.

Velvet was sweaty, and her body was shaking. Her mouth, and tongue felt like it was on fire, and her body felt like it was a little warmer. She went over to her small sink, splashing the cold water on her face. Velvet looked in the mirror, taking a small look at her teeth. She almost saw what looked like Dragon fang's trying to grow from her mouth, but they finally sunk back in. She wondered if she had a special magical disease that made these kind's of symptoms happen to her. Velvet Remedy shook it off, stepping into the very small shower she had, and washed the sweat off. Velvet Remedy heard a knock on her door, before deciding to investigate.

She opened the door, to see a hooded mare standing before her. She could barely see the mare's face, and it definetly wasn't very helpful. Her skin was a very bright orange, and judging, by the look of the hoodie, she had just come from one of those small exotic dance, and pleasure club's the stable had. "Um.......may I help you?" Velvet Remedy asked, as the mare spoke up with a southern accent.

"Actually I'm here to help you" The mare told her, as Velvet Remedy tried her best not to panic, but to no avail.

"Woah, woah, woah, now as much as I don't mind pleasure from those stallions from that club, I'm really not into........." Velvet Remedy spoke, before the mare cut her off.

"I'm not here for business, and I'm not here for pleasure, I'm here to help you out with something........may I come in?" The mare asked, as Velvet Remedy nodded.

"Sure thing, come on in" Velvet Remedy told her, as the mare sneaked inside. "Can I get you anything?" Velvet asked, as the mare spoke.

"No, I'm afraid there is no time. I have to help you quickly before the Overmare knows I was here" The mare told her, as Velvet Remedy shrugged.

"Okay, what is it you want to help me with?" Velvet Remedy asked, as the mare spoke up.

"I can help you leave the stables as you want. I can quickly record the code to open the blast door's for you to escape, but we have to be quick" The mare spoke, as this interested Velvet completely.

"What's the code?" Velvet asked, as the mare used Velvet's Pipbuck (which was still on her wrist) to record an audio recording for the code.

"The Override code for Stable 2 Door is, CMC3BFF" The mare recorded, before quickly stopping the recording, and encrypting the file she had recorded the code to.

"Wait, what about my Pipbuck, they'll easily track it if I'm outside" Velvet told her, as the mare smiled.

"Don't worry I have an idea, listen closely, and I'll make sure that you act out the plan I have" The mare told her, and whispered the plan in her ear. After knowing the instructions, the mare quickly left her quarter's, stealthily proceeding back to where she was. The mare bumped into a tall dark, and green Sharklantean, as the mare felt her breathing get faster. She knew who he was, and she could not be more thankful. He gave her 100 dollars worth of bits in her hand, as he smiled.

"It's so nice to bump into you again, my little fancy slut. I request your services for later in my quarter's tonight" The Sharklantean grinned, as the mare had her voice change seductively.

"I look forward to it, my best customer" She cooed softly, while walking off with a small sway in her hips as the green, and white Sharklantean got a nice good look at her rear, before walking back through the hall's.

Little Pip groaned in frustration, as she banged her head on the desk with a sad sigh. "UGGGHHH, this entire room has so much boring, and lifeless gray stuff in here. Gray here, gray there, oh did I mention the gray, ugh this is sooooooooo boring" Little Pip sighed, as her head rested at the desk she was at. Meanwhile Velvet Remedy managed to walk in, as she came across Little Pip, who's head rested on the desk.

"Oh dear, is the maintenance of this area really that bad?" Velvet Remedy asked.

"WAHAHAHAHAHA" Little Pip screamed in suprise, before falling off the chair. "Owwww" Little Pip whined, as Velvet Remedy cocked her head to one side.

"Oh dear, are you alright?" Velvet Remedy asked, as Little Pip got up, seeing Velvet Remedy.

"V-V-V-VELVET!?!?!?!?!?!?" She shouted in suprise seeing the famous Anthromorphic mare in the room. Little Pip seemed lost in her own little world, seeing the famous mare. In truth she was a huge fan, and she always liked Velvet as friend. She used to be smitten with Velvet, but after a while that slowly changed to the point where she didn't see her that way. Regardless of that, she always wanted to be best friend's with the famous mare, because she seemed so fun, and interesting. She was drawn back to the real world, as Velvet spoke.

"Uhhhh.......Little Pip?" Velvet asked, as Little Pip spoke.

"U-uh what?" Little Pip asked in response.

"...."

"...." Absolutely awkward silence, then.....

"Ah, yes, um sorry I was a little out of it, could you repeat that?" Little Pip asked, as Velvet Remedy giggled in response. Little Pip felt herself warm up, seeing Velvet's smile.

"Oh Little Pip" She sighed happily, before speaking again. "You looked so heartbroken when I came in, is there anything I can do to help?" Velvet asked.

"H-Help......N-No It's nothing" Little Pip re-assured her, as Velvet gave her a caring look.

"Are you sure? I'd hate to see anypony un-happy" Velvet asked, as Little Pip spoke up.

"No, no, it's alright, so how may I be of assitance?" Little Pip asked.

"Well there is one thing I need your help with" Velvet Remedy asked, as Little Pip looked at her with interest.

"What would that be?" She asked.

"It's......my Pipbuck" Velvet sighed.

"What's the problem with it?" Little Pip asked.

"I really don't want to be a bother, but my Pipbuck has become to shake a bit, could you replace the padding?" Velvet asked.

"Oh, ABSOLUTELY, I'll have it done for you real quick" Little Pip smiled, in excitement.

"Oh no take your time, I'm going to go back to my room, and rest up for a bit" Velvet told her.

"Oh right, don't you have your big performance tomorrow, right?" Little Pip asked.

"That's right" Velvet smiled.

"You sure are a good singer when your on stage, I watched your broadcast a few minutes ago" Little Pip smiled.

"Oh so you heard me singing "Already One Year", I alway's did love that song, but I don't know where I got it from" Velvet pondered.

"I really like that song as well" Little Pip smiled.

"Oh really thank's" Velvet smiled.

"I should have your Pipbuck done by tomorrow" Little Pip smiled.

"Thank you Little Pip, this really mean's a lot to me.......Oh, and Little Pip thank you for your time" Velvet smiled, as Little Pip went back to her work, while Velvet prepared for her escape into the night.
