A Contradictory Affair

It started off as a normal day, as usual, I'd get up. Take a shower, get some clothes on, but today it was fall, So I put a Hoodie that I brought from Earth on, I couldn't go cold, but the Hoodie had a Rainbow Dash cutie mark on it.. I had another one that said "Fuck you chair!" on it, but that wouldn't be appropriate now would it.. I decided to roll with the Cute mark one and just go outside and ignore the teasing from Dash but whatever.

There was a package on my doorstep, it was from Luna.. I picked up the note taped on top of it.

Inside the box was a ring.. I instantly figured out what she was implying.. After my encounter with Slendy on the hill, Cel had come back a few days later.. I was beginning to doubt doing it... Was this how we reveal our love? It'd be one of the most unusual ways, but one of the cooler ways.. Why not, It's been 5 months here.. Most people would've waited a month before asking, but I haven't actually contemplated doing it.. Where would I, and how? It's not like I've been here my whole life and

know everything about marrying Ponies... So what the fuck do I do? Alright, how about I make the trip to Canterlot and ask Luna about this shit.. Or... Twilight..

"Uh, Twilight?" I said as I knocked on the door. I was greeted with a Lavender Pony with darkish hair, with a Pinkish Purplish lining.

"Yes..?" Twilight said.

"I need to ask you some questions.." I looked around a bit.

"Come in.." Twilight motioned with a hoof. I sat down on her couch and she offered a cup of tea, I declined and began to ask her some questions once she sat down.

"How would One uh.... This may be awkward.. Go about Marrying a Pony..?" I asked, she had a dumbfoundead look on her face..

"And who were you planning on..?" She asked back..

"....Princess Celestia.." She burst into laughter and then realized I wasn't joking..

"You need to be with some pony for awhile before you end up Marrying them.."

"It's been... Pretty much the entire time I've been here.." Twilight widened her eyes...

"AND when? Were you planning on telling US?!" This had been the only time some pony other than Luna had raised their voice at me.

"Uh..."

"HAD YOU TAKEN... ANYTHING THAT WE MAY HAVE BEEN WORRIED INTO CONSIDERATION?!"

"This is why, your reaction!"

"IT'S A CONTRADICTION, IT'S NOT MEANT TO HAPPEN, PRINCESS CELESTIA IS SUPPOSED TO MARRY ANOTHER PONY, NOT HUMAN!" Twilight was furious, I wanted to go to Rarity, but she was busy..

"MY REACTION, IS THE LEAST OF YOUR WORRIES, YOU'LL PROBABLY GET IT HARDER FROM RAINBOW DASH, SHE LIKES YOU YOU KNOW?" Twilight accidently blurted out, she put her hoof over her mouth, beginning to calm down..

"Rainbow Dash... Likes me?" I had a puzzled look on my face..

"Well, she claims to be 'In Love' with you.. You know this will break her heart, she turned down Soarin' from the Wonderbolts, hoping that you'd be hers.."  I thought hard about this.. Before all this I practically had what I had with Aelita when I was little, I had an obsession for her, granted she was from a Cartoon, like My Little Pony but.. More serious in some matters.. I had before everything with Celestia, loved Rainbow too.. Not in an obsession though.. I put a hand on my forehead..

"She... Turned down Soarin'?

"Yeah.."

"Well, shit... She'll probably Suicide or never talk to me again.. I can't do this to her, but the whole wedding Idea was Luna's.."

"Luna is okay with all of this?" Right after she said that, the perfect fucking timing, my hair started flowing just like the time 5 months ago.. Twilight had the most devious smile on her face.

"Well, looks like you two really are in love.. In which case, I'd be happy to give you advice on the attempt to Propose.. Firstly, you're going to need to Come out of the closet... Both of you. And your hair is not getting fixed.."

"Uh... I don't think-"

"No! You will."

"But... How? I've never actually had to come out, with a secret Relationship... Let alone we've let it sink for 5 months.. And we don't know what every pony's  reactions will be.."

"Dumbstruck, founded.. You know, Royalty loving a peasant.. No offense.." I was ready to punch Twilight in the face... I'm no Peasant. I gave her an angry expression, if she wasn't my friend I would've walloped her.

"Pff, Peasant. If you knew half my past you'd be backing away from me.." I probably shouldn't of said that.. Because Twilight will take it seriously.

"That's where I was just getting to.. I do know your past.. A con-"

"Don't start, I left that life along with Jeremy."

"You mean the dead fellow criminal?" Twilight had the biggest smile ever on, she had me trapped, and was about to milk every life secret out of me.

"Twi..." Rainbow Dash knocked on the door, I've never been so happy to hear her voice in a long time..

"Yes, Rainbow I'm coming.." Twilight got up and trotted to the door, opening it with her magic, her horn aura was a different color, it was Pink now.. Strange..

"Come in.." Twilight soon returned with a Cyan pony, with a Rainbow mane and tail, she looked more beautiful than ever..

"Why is your hair..?" Rainbow questioned..

"Now is the time for you to tell her, before she finds out the hard way.." Twilight's smile returned..

"...Rainbow. We need to talk.." I started, Twilight left the room.. Leaving us to our convo.

"What about?" Rainbow sat down in the chair Twilight was in, her wings spread, obviously happy to see me in this Hoodie..

"It's about, you.. And me."

"You see Rainbow, before I got here, I DID have an obsession with you... But in the past months... That changed.. I-" I couldn't say it.. I looked at Dash who had began crying..

"Then... Who else?" Rainbow Cried..

"C- elstia.."

"THAT FILTHY-" I interrupted Dash before she could even..

"DASH! You're supposed to take this MATURELY." I walked over to her,, and gave her a Hug, not as a lover, but as a friend.. She began crying in my shoulders.

"I- I- Liked you since I first saw you.. I turned down Soarin.."

"I realize Dash... That somethings, aren't meant to be.."

"It's a CONTRADICTION!" Dash yelled at me.. I fear this is gonna be Everypony's reaction. I began to mumble to myself, just audible for Dash to hear..

"I've made my mistakes... Got nowhere to run... As the night goes on.. I'm fading away, I'm sick of this life.. I just want to scream.. How could this happen to me.." She looked up at me, grabbing my hand with her hoof..

"That was beautiful.." She flew up, and off.. Letting go at the last possible second.. She'd still wait for me.. Just in case..

It's been a few hours.. Practically everypony in Ponyville now knows.. I sit here in the Cutie Mark Crusaders treehouse hiding from the press.. Scootaloo and Sweetiebelle are here, while Applebloom is on the farm.. The press  can't come up here, it's Private property..

"So, how did this happen anyway?" Scootaloo asked while looking through the telescope at the descending sun..

"I said to Celestia, 'I liked you as a friend' because she doesn't really have any.. Then she ended up hugging me.. Then kissing, then it clicked.. An entire chase against Luna broke out, this shit happened.." I put a hand over my face.

"Shoo! Go! All of you!" I heard a familiar mare yell, along with more hoofsteps..

"Rainbow, Dear are you sure you want to disturb them?" A rather high class voice siad, as they were going up the ladder..

"Yea, Sugarcube, it's not like He's here.."

"He is... Applejack, I sense it.." Rainbow Dash flew up and walked into the Clubhouse..

"Looks like you're right.." I mumbled to myself, I just wanted some peace..

"Rainbow Dash!" Scootaloo jumped from the telescope to hug her Idol.. Quickly pushed Dash trotted over to Cameren.

"Are you going through with it?" Dash kneeled down..

"When does the next Train leave?" Cameren got up..

"20 minutes."

"I'm doing it.. I love Cel, with all my heart, but when I'm around you I feel like we've been together since fuck, I was Twelve or something." Twilight who was in the clubhouse right when he said that Jumped up..

"How about... We go get ready for Canterlot!" Twilight was eager to change the subject..

"Alrighty then.." They went out of the clubhouse and Towards Cameren's hut..

"Innocent? INNOCENT?! You're not innocent! You're a Monster! The thought raced through Cameren's head, why though, he'd never had that said to him before.. He also saw fire.. And a cave.. What.. Happened that day..?

They had arrived in Canterlot, Princess Luna was waiting for them..

"Come on, we have to get there before she gets back!" Luna rushed them to Celestia's room, she was going to be here any second, Luna closed the curtains And everyone hid as the door opened..

"SUPRISE!" Everyone jumped out, scaring Celestia..

"My... That was.. Disturbing.." Celestia said, as she was trotting over to her Lover..

"I see you finally told them?"

"It's all Twilight's fault." Cameren said as he pointed to Twilight..

"MY FAULT? MY FAULT? OH OKAY." Twilight got an angry expression. She then began mingling with Rarity..

"So, what's the special occasion?" Celestia asked. Following this, Cameren picked up a spoon and a glass cup, and began to bang them together..

"I have a very special announcement to make, and the reason we are all here anyway.." Cameren got on his knee and pulled something out of his pocket opening it..

"Princess Celestia.. Will you marry me?" After finishing his sentence, a yellow aura surrounded him as Celestia picked him up and gave him the biggest hug ever..

"Of course I will!" She shouted crying tears of joy..

After a half an hour the party began, and everypony was happy..

"Twilight, if I could.. Speak to you on the Balcony.." Celestia called to her student..

"Yes! Of course Princess." Twilight trotted with her teacher to the balcony..

"You remember, that problem, that I told you about when he got here?" Celestia asked her student as she closed the door..

"...Yes?" Twilight replied.

"I need you to do what I said not to do.. I need you to help him remember.." Celestia said with a nervous voice.

"Are you sure? You don't know what his reaction will be." Twilight also seemed concerned.

"He must know, why I allowed him to stay, and why I love him, Twilight, I am trusting you with this. Over Luna." Celestia laid a hoof on her Student's head.

"It will be done." Twilight turned around opening the door with her magic and trotting in.
