My Little Pony: Escape From Earth

Twilight was asleep on the couch in the library of her castle. It had been 3 months since the defeat of Tirek, Cozy Glow, & Queen Chrysalis, & since Twilight became the new ruler of Equestria. A TV show was playing in front of her. It was called “The Human Bunch.”

The announcer began to speak. “Tidal Wave Studios presents: The Human Bunch!” four human teenagers burst through the title dancing towards the camera. “Staring: Beegle,” A 17 year old boy wearing magician clothes appears on screen with a magic wand. “Mikey,” A 16 year old boy swings on a vine and crashes into the wall. “Jason,” A 17 year old boy in a red t-shirt drives a go-kart and bumps into a police car. He then jumps out of the kart and runs away. “Sarah.” A 16 year old girl walks through some curtains and dances. All four of the kids are dancing together now but stop when they hear the doorbell. Jason answers it and a cop appears. “And featuring: Stevie” Stevie the cop takes off his sunglasses and gives a thumbs up to the audience. Beegle then hands Stevie a tamberie & they play music together. Twilight then wakes up to see Spike.

“Spike! What are you doing!? It’s 10PM!” Twilight said.

“Sorry Twilight.” Spike apologized. “I’m just super excited!”

“Spike, your birthday isn’t until tomorrow. You need to get your rest so you can celebrate when it’s time.”

“I know. It’s too bad though that Starlight and Nyx can’t be here to celebrate, given they’re visiting mom & dad in Canterlot.” Spike sighed.

Twilight put a hoof on Spikes shoulder. “It’s okay Spike. We can still have fun. After all Rarity, Fluttershy and Applejack are coming over for your birthday.”

“Yeah, I can’t wait! Well I guess I’m gonna go back to bed. Goodnight Twilight.”

“Goodnight Spike.”

(The Next Day, 11AM)

Spike was watching The Human Bunch while Twilight was getting his gem birthday cake ready. Applejack walked up to Twilight lowering her stetson. “So, have ya decided what yer gonna do for his birthday yet?” She asked.

“As a matter in fact, yes. We are going to planet Earth to watch The Human Bunch live. He loves that show, and he’ll be excited to see Beegle, Jason, Mikey, & Sarah in person. We have five tickets so you can come if you want to.” Twilight offered.

Applejack raised her stetson. “‘Fraid ah can’t Twi. I got a lot o’ work ta do on the farm. Who is going anyway?”

“Me, Spike, Fluttershy, & I’m thinking of inviting Flash along with us. But I don’t know who the fifth pony is going to be.”

“Well, why not let Spike decide? It is his birthday after all.” Applejack suggested

“That’s exactly what I was thinking Applejack!” Twilight answered.

-3 Hours Later-

Spike, Twilight, Rarity, Applejack, & Fluttershy were gathered at the dining room table as Spike blew out the candles. “Yay! Happy Birthday Spike!” Everyone cheered

“Hard to believe isn’t it Spike? You’re officially 12!” Twilight said

Rarity then hands Spike a gift. When Spike opens it he sees it’s a staff with an emerald on the top. “I love it Rarity! Thank you!” Spike thanked

Twilight then spoke, “We have another surprise for you. We-”

“Are going to The Human Bunch!” Fluttershy finished. “We’re going to Earth to watch an episode live.” Spike couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

“Thank you so much girls! You’re the best!” Spike thanked

“Yer welcome Spike, but me an Rarity are fraid we can’t come because we got work ta do.” Applejack explained

“Aw, that’s a shame.” Spike said

“Yeah well, we decided that it would be you, me, Fluttershy, Flash & you get to pick who else” Twilight said

“Really? Can Applebloom come?”

“Sorry sugarcude,” Applejack apologized, “but Applebloom’s mighty sick.”

“Oh, then how about Smolder?” Spike asked. Twilight thought for a moment. Smolder didn’t leave the School of Friendship for a while. Although, she needed to get out for a while and she would probably love to see what a beautiful planet Earth was.

“I’ll talk to her and see what she thinks.” Twilight promised.

(School of Friendship, 1 Hour Later)

“You want me to do what?” Smolder asked Twilight. Twilight was currently talking with Smolder in her dorm along with her boyfriend; Gallus the Griffon.

“Please Smolder. It’s Spike’s birthday and it was his idea to invite you. Plus, you haven’t left the School of Friendship for 2 months, you need to get some fresh air.” Twilight pointed out.

“Look, it was nice of him to invite me, but it’s just that the Human Bunch is a little childish and too weird for me.”

“Smolder, you dress up like a princess sometimes to have a tea party with dolls.” Smolder blushes at Gallus’ comment.

“Alright. If it’ll make Spike happy then I’ll go”

“Thank you Smolder.” Twilight said. “We’ll be heading to the dimension portal soon, so I suggest you start getting ready.”

Smolder nodded, and when Twilight was out of sight she turned to Gallus. “Dammit Gallus, you weren’t supposed to tell anyone my secret interests!”

“Well excuse me for reminding you that you’re childish at times just like that show.” Smolder knew Gallus was right, so she didn’t argue. She just went to get ready for the trip.

‘I actually am kind of excited to see the show. I hope it’s as good as they say’ Smolder thought. Boy, was she going to enjoy it.
