Night of a New Moon

Twilight POV

"Hi girls. How's your day going!" Twilight called outs as her and Spike make their way to a group of 5 mares.

"Howdy you two."

"Sup."

"Morning darling."

"Good morning."

"HI TWI, HI SPIKE!!"

"So are we still going to the market today? If not I'm all for going back to the library and taking a nap." Spike tells the group.

Rolling her eyes Twilight look to her assistant "Yes Spike we are and you agreed to help us."

"And I will." Spike replied as the group headed in to the market.

After the group reached the market they all headed out to different stalls to shop at. Twilight and Spike worked on the list of think the library needed. As time past and most of the stuff on the list was found Twilight asked Spike to take it to the library. Making it to the mid section of the market she found her friends Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Applejack siting by the fountain.

"Sup Twi, you find all the things you where looking to pick up?" asked Rainbow Dash

"I did Rainbow. I asked Spike to run it home." Twilight said

"Any of ya'll know what the others are up ta?" Applejack asked looking to the crowd to try and spot the others.

Twilight pulled out her phone to check the time. "No but it should be ba...."

"HAHAHAHA" said a young filly light umber colored fur laughed running out of the everfree "Catch me if ya can ya mutts!"

My friends and I watch as a filly comes running out of the everfree forest with 6 armored diamond dogs chasing followed by a large black dog and young diamond dog. We watch as they make there way in to the busy market only for the diamond dogs to surround the filly.

Looking to my friends "Girls we need to help her. Fluttershy I need you to find Rarity and Pinkie. Applejack I need you to clear the market the best you can. Rainbow me and you are going to help her and stop the diamond dogs."

"O-ok Twilight" Fluttershy says flying off

"On it partner" Applejack says starting to clear the market

"Rainbow I'm going to teleport us next to her so get ready?" looking to her

"Ready any time Twi." she says with a nod

Focusing my magic Rainbow and I disappear in flash of light only to reappear next to the filly. Thinking quick I put up a shield around us.

"cò am boc a tha thu!?" (Who the buck are you?) the filly says in a language I'm unfamiliar with

"What do you diamond dogs think your doing chasing a filly around!?" Rainbow demands

One steps up to my shield "She stole. We take back. Now give." He said pointing at the filly

"I ain't givin' ya git's shite after what ya did so buck off." The filly growled holding up her hands showing broken shackles around her wrists.

"Ok first language young lady." I say looking at the filly then the diamond dogs "Second you can't slave ponies in equestria. Now what is it she took and why should I not have you all arrested for slavery?"

"She took map of caves. Want back we go." He held out his hand

Thinking over the options i pick the best for the moment "Ok I'm going to take down my shield. You and your group will not attack and I'll get you map back to you so you can leave and never come back." He nods and his group moves from around us to his side. I take down my shield. I turn to the filly and hold out my hand "Could you give me what you took so they will leave?"

She ignores me and looks behind the group of diamond dogs "About bloody time ya got 'ere." I look behind the group and see the young back diamond dog and large dog.

"Sorry sis but its hard ta get in a good spot with out bein' spotted." The diamond dog replies rolling her eyes.

"What ever. Lets just end this." The filly drops her bag. "Remember maimin' but no killin'."

Before I get the chance to ask what is happening her and the black diamond dog start attacking the group.

3rd POV

Before any of the ponies or group of d-dogs could react the filly jumped and kneed one in the muzzle knocking the d-dog on its back. The young d-dog grabs a knife from one and buries it into the shoulder of another. The large dog bites on to the wrist of one before it can swing its weapon at the filly pulling it of balance. The leader of the d-dog sends a kick at the filly as she puts her arms up to block sending her skidding back.

"HAY!!" Rainbow Dash yells jumping at one of the d-dogs knocking him back.

With two of the d-dogs down for the count the last for regroup. Two of them pull the repeating crossbows off there back and start firing. Rainbow takes to the air to avoiding the bolts while Twilight puts her shield around her. The filly, young d-dog and large dog dodge incoming bolts. Unknown a orange pegasus was watching from a cloud above the market. Taking her chance the pegasus dives at the of the bow dogs but is spotted only for it to side step out of the way.

"WATCH OUT!!" The filly yells to the pegasus

Seeing the bow dog aiming at the pegasus the filly jumps knocking her out of the way only to take a bolt to the side. Grunting from the impact the filly gets back to her hooves and charges the bow dog as it reloads. Reaching her target she pulls the bow from the dog then delivers a headbutt dropping it. The last three get a swift a beating moments later ending the fighting just as the town guard arrive.

??? POV

'This is just not my day' I think as I make my way over to Nyx and Erebus holding my right side. When I get to them I take a seat on the fountain with a grunt.

Nyx looks up at me and chuckles behind her paw. Erebus raises a brow "Ya look like shit sis." She tells me with a grin sitting on my right.

"Aye and that's how I feel with a bolt in me side." I chuckle giving her a small smile.

"Hay" We look over to a purple alicorn with 5 other mares and a filly walking in our direction. They stop a few paces in front of use. The alicorn has lavender fur purple eyes dark blue mane and tail with pink and purple streak wearing a light blue button down shirt and purple skirt. A earth pony with orange fur emerald green eyes blonde mane and tail wearing a white and green work shirt blue jeans and a stetson hat. A pegasus with yellow fur blue-green eyes light pink mane and tail wearing a green turtle neck sweater and dark green knee length skirt. A earth pony with light pink fur blue eyes dark pink puffy mane and tail wearing a blue and white shirt and pink skirt. A unicorn with white fur blue eyes dark purple mane and tail wearing a light blue blouse and light purple skirt. A pegasus with cyan fur pink eyes rainbow mane and tail wearing white shirt blue jacket and black jeans. The last is a pegasus filly with orange fur purple eyes dark pink mane and tail wearing a black hoodie and green cargo shorts.

"What ya need lasses?" Erebus asks as Nyx and I give them a questioning look.

The alicorn cleared her throat "Well we would like to ask some questions but first how about introduce ourselves? I'm princess Twilight Sparkle and these are my friends. This is Applejack," she points to the orange earth pony "Futttershy," the yellow pegasus "Pinkie Pie," the pink earth pony "Rarity," the white unicorn "Rainbow Dash," the cyan pegasus "and her sister Scootaloo."

"Erebus and this is my sister Moon Rune," She points to me as I use my claws to unlock my shackles "and my sister Nyx." pointing to Nyx.

"Why did you attack that pack of diamond dogs? Doesn't it go against clan law to not fight the other clans?" Twilight asks

Erebus shrugs "Wouldn't know I'm not a dog and puttin' me in with them is a insult to my kin. I'm a wolf."

"Wait. I thought wo...." Twilight starts before getting cut off.

"YES ABOUT BLOODY TIME!!" I yell as one of the shackles falls to the ground. Looking to Erebus with a smile "Ok pull it so we can get the bounty and leave sis."

Grinning Erebus looks and me and takes the end of the bolt in her hand "Grit your teeth and take a breath sis." I do as she says and growled as she pulls it out.

"WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR!!" Twilight yells we just ignore her.

"*sigh* Thanks" Getting up I dig into my bag for the wanted posters. Finding them I get up and look at Erebus "I'll be back in a few don't tell them what they don't need ta know." She nods and I start heading over to the guards with the posters.

One of the guards sees me coming over to them "Can I help you young filly?"

"Yes ya could ma'am. I would like ta collect the bounty on 5 of the 6 d-dog. Here are the wanted posters for the ones me and my sisters took down the last one was knocked out by a Miss Rainbow Dash." I hand the guard 5 posters as she looks at me with confusion.

She shacks her head then looks at the poster then back at me "Just give me a moment to get my caption and we will sort this out." She walks off and talks for a older looking guard and points to the posters then to me. I watch as the older guard walks off with the posters.

Moments later her returns with two bags of bits one larger then the other and walks up to me. "Ok miss we looked at what you gave us to make shore your bounty was up to par and it was. The bigger of the bags is for the 5 the other is for the last one. I can see your group is taking to Rainbow and the others so if you could give it to her that would be good?" I give him a nod and he hands me the bags.

Walking back over I put the amount of a second bounty in to Rainbow Dash's bag. Getting to the group I toss the larger bag to Erebus. "Rainbow Dash catch." I say and toss the other to her. "That's the bounty for two of the six dogs." Picking up my bag and start heading for the train station. "Come on girls I would like ta reach Canterlot by night fall." They nod and jump in to my shadow.

"Wait. What did you just do?!" Twilight yelled as she stops me with a wall of magic.

"....." I just star at her in her magic hold with a look of boredom.

She glares at me with her arms crossed "Well, I waiting?"

"....."

"Fine if you wont tell me then your coming with me and we are going to wait till the princesses get here." She tells me floating me behind the group to a crystal castle. When we get to the castle she writes a letter and has a dragon send it by dragon fire.

After hours of being asked questions and attempts at mental invasions the door to the room we are all sitting in opens. The dragon that I learned was named Spike shows in two alicorns one taller then the other. The taller of the two has white fur purple eyes green, blue, pink mane and tail wearing a white dress with gold trim gold tiara and neck piece. The other has dark blue fur teal eyes mane and tail like the night sky wearing a blue dress a obsidian tiara and neck piece.

"Hello Twilight, we came after we got your letter." The white one said as the blue one just looked at me confused

"Celestia, Luna I'm so glad you came. I have bin trying for hours to get her to talk but she just wont say anything." Twilight told them before telling them what has happened up to this point.

"Ya left out ya failed attempts at mental invasion." I told them

They look at me as the two come over to the table and take a seat with the rest.

"Hello little one my name is princess Celestia Solaris, co-ruler of Equestria." The white one tells me

"Greetings I am princess Luna Noctis, co-ruler of Equestria." The blue one says

I stand and bowed to them. "I am Moon Rune, ambassador of the Dragon Lands and Kitsune Isles." The entire room goes silent as I finish look at me with wide eyes and slack jaws.

Twilight is the first to come to "That's not possible. How could you be a ambassador to both the Dragon Lands and Kitsune Isles?"

"Do you have any proof of your claims?" Princess Celestia asks

I pick up my bag and pull out two letters with wax seals from the different nations. I put the letters on the table and slide them over to the princesses for them to read. The look over the letters and look at the seals and check them with magic to see if any of them are fake.

Princess Luna looks to me "Well the letters are proof that you are a ambassador."

"What language are these in?" Twilight asks the princesses

"Well Twilight one is in ancient draconic the other is in the written language of the fox. The one in draconic I can read but I don't know fox. The seal is from the empress that I do know. Luna can you read the other?" Princess Celestia tells Twilight be for asking princess Luna if she knows fox.

"Sadly I don't sister." Princess Luna says giving the letters back to me

"So with that out of the way. The main reason that Twilight asked us to come was that thinks you use dark magic. With the fact that you know are a ambassador to the Kitsune Isles could you tell me and my sister the types of magic that you can use?" Princess Celestia asks me

Putting my hand to my chin I think about it for a little but nod "I have no problem with that but I know for a fact that I don't use black magic. I have studied the magic of Equestria so I know what is and is not black magic." I look at the princesses and receive a nod in understanding "I know dragon magic like Spike but on a different level. I use fox magic. I can also us thestral magic. I have access ta wolf magic and the last one is the use of rune magic." When I finish Princess Celestia and Twilight look at me with wide eyes and Princess Luna has a look of intrigue.

"I find my self curious that you know thestral and wolf magic?" Princess Luna asks rubbing her chin "From what I remember both are born traits." She then looks at me wide eyed.

I look at the her and give her a toothy smile and let both eyes show my wolf nature. "Your correct princess ya have ta be born with them and I was. My mother was a wolf but my sire is a lunar pegasus."

Princess Luna insta teleports next to me "M-may I do a magic scan of you?" She asks.

"Princess you can but you will have a hard time finding my thestral magic the damn dog put magic blocking shackles on me and I still have one." I hold up my arm for her to see.

She looks at it "If I can get it off your ok with a scan yes?" I give her a nod. As She works on the shackle I over hear Twilight and friends talking to Princess Celestia.

"Celestia I'm confused what the hay is a lunar pegasus?" Rainbow asked

"In the beginning pegasus had two families one of day the other of night. They were also the forefathers of the thestral specie. Over time they became what they are today." She tells them. As she goes over long lost history Princess Luna finishes with the shackle.

*Click*

Everypony turns to us when they heard the click. "Thank ya Princess." I rub my wrist as I stand up releasing my magic with a sigh as a pair of wings that match my fur color with purple at the edge of each feather. "Ok scan away" every one stares at my wings.

I watch as the Princess scans me. Her eyes open wide and jaw drops and turns to her sister "S-sister c-could y-you please do a scan to confirm my findings please?" Princess Celestia nods and walks over and does her own.

Princess Celestia has the same reaction then looks from me to her sister "How? The amount of equestrian magic you have is close to alicorn level?"

Princess Luna look to her sister "Its almost time for us to return to Canterlot sister. We might want to take our leave?"

"Yes it would be for the best that we leave for today." Princess Celestia looked to Twilight and her friends. "We know that you all have question and we can answer them at a later time but its time for use to head back to Canterlot."

Twilight looked at the princess and gave her a smile "We under understand."

"Thank you Twilight. Now then if you would excuse use we will be out of your manes in a little." Princess Celestia said then nodded to her sister.

Princess Luna looked at me "Moon Rune if you wouldn't mind coming with us?"

"I have no problem with that Princess." I tell her then pick up my bag following them to the door. Once outside we get in to a chariot that will take us to Canterlot castle.
