Night of a New Moon

Its bin about a month since I last wrote anything. So Mist said yes to being the first in the unit. She was a little upset that I didn't tell her that Scootaloo was going to be training with us but got over it fast. That weekend was interesting to say the lest. Mist and I showed Scoots the best ways to fight. Mist and her learned new fighting styles from me. Saturday the three of us trained after that we went out to celebrate serving the first. That night Scoots was so out of it that I just let her sleep it off at my place.

Mum showed up during the following week and was none to happy that I was training Scoots and Mist with out telling her. She asked what I was going to name the unit I told her we would be named the 'Shadow Unit'. The unit would have heavy users of thestral magic which is shadow magic. Mum approved the unit as Mist and Scoots showed that the training was working.

Other then training me and Scoots have bin spending more time together. I don't know why but I like spending time with her. We hang out with Sweetie and AB out in town. Sweetie has a thing for shopping, AB has fun with sports, Scoots and I are more fans of gaming or the skate park. I surprised Scoots on my day to pick what the group does for the day by showing up with a bag of pads for Sweetie and AB. The night before we went I got stuff for the day. Scoots showed off her killer scooter skills. Some colts that saw me with a brand new skateboard thinking I was new. I made them eat their words.

I unlocked Mist and Scoots potential with magic allowing them to use it as if born as a unicorn. Teaching them shadow magic is slow and I told them not to use it outside of practice. With what Scoots has learned from me and Mist she has become the top cadets in class. In school I have bin helping the girls with all that I can but it is slow going.

I have bin spending time with my cousin Cadance and Aunt Tia. They forgave me for the pranks after the counter pranks they did to me. Aunt Tia showed me the family history, me and her have fun going over magic knowledge from the past. Cadance and me spent time talking and 'shopping'. That mare is scary when it comes to shopping she most have sent about 1000 bits per store. She told me how her magic works and let me know that as she says "A light for somepony is growing in your heart.". She wouldn't tell me what that meant but I would find out.

So its the week be for me class trip to the Everfree. I got into a interesting discussion with Scoots. She asked if there was a way to become a thestral. It took me by surprise that she would be thinking about something like that. When I asked why she told me that after school shes going to join the night guard. The rest of the week after school I spent my time in the castle archives looking for what Scoots asked me. It didn't take me long to find a magic potion that could change a pony's subspecies. I took my findings to mum because she has a better understanding of potion making.

Mum confirmed my findings and helped me make two kinds, one was for a thestral and the other was for lunar pegasus. Since both potions needed blood from the species of pony type and since I'm part lunar pegasus we separated out the wolf part of my blood. Mum warned me of the side effects of the potions. I spent the rest of the week thinking over a strange feeling that I keep getting every time Scoots was around. The weekend before school Carance decided that she would tell me what she meant the week before. She told me that the feelings that I was having was affection for another 'Aka Moony your in love'. Thanks to her my mind is all over the place but I'll work it out and find a way to tell her maybe, I don't know.
