A Titan, A Soul, And A Bias
The Sectoid Ruins
Previous ChapterI have reached one of the Badlands Void signatures, and I am currently boring into the ground to reach the depth of said signatures. After a couple more hours of digging I reach a wall. A wall of an old Sanctuary species, the Sectoids. Sectoids were a hive species who used individual minds to supplement a collective knowledge which all Sectoids could pull from. The Sectoids were a species known as relic species, as they were preserved from extinction. In fact it was an accident that I discovered their people on the brink of extinction, on a planet I affectionately called, the Hive. It was an insect dominated planet filled with lifeforms, big and small. The Sectoids were being persecuted by another hive species which are referred as Giant Bees, given their similarity to native bee species of sanctuary, just way bigger.
I tried reaching peaceful solution, however it required force to stop the Giant Bee invasion of the Final Hive of the Sectoids, I called for an evacuation, so that the species could survive, but we don't have to destroy the Giant Bees, given their role in the planets global ecosystem. The Dracochrome sent evacuation ships and I loaded the Sectoids on the ships, and we flew. A Sectoid by the name of Strong Claw had declared my people gods, who should be worshiped, and the idea spread like fire in the Hive mind, even Queen Chitin, the Hive Queen, bowed whenever in a Titan was in their presence. They adopted our practices on Sanctuary, but kept their Hives separate form the main cities.
Anyways, my history is unimportant, if this is the remains of a Sectoid Hive, I will be able to rebuild foundries and such to build defenses for this planet. I break through the wall into a dark chamber, according to my past visits it looks to be the dimensions of the egg chamber of Alpha Hive. Good, Alpha has some of the best Void tech in the Hive mind.
I continue travelling towards the now identified Void Core of the Hive. Comparing the maps I already have from past visits and my new maps of the ruins, everything seems mostly intact and in place, so I rely on my old maps to guide me to the core. After twenty minutes of carefully walking, as I do not wish to be surprised or damage anything, I reach the dormant core, which currently has a full supply of Void Crystal. I begin repairing the terminal, carefully welding metal and repairing wire. I stripped materials from the lights of the halls for wiring and some scrap metal on the way here, so I had enough to fix the control terminal, however I when I booted up the control terminal and slipped into the systems I was given alerts of damage to the core. I sighed and then said,
"Of course, nothing today will go as planned." I shook my head and began walking to the primary resource storage. The place is in poor condition over the years, stone has been reclaimed by nature completely and any metals which can decay have done so. I eventually find the storage modules. I locate a crate of Void Steel and Resonate Enderium. Enderium is a subdivison of Void Metals, Enderium was created by one of the few sane species that can live in the Void, Endermen, who were allies of Sanctuary, and showed us how to create Enderium Crystal, better known as Ender Pearls. I begin to transport this crate to the Void Core chamber and supply enough power for a diagnostic of the Core.
Initializing Void Core Diagnostic...........
Errors Found..........Assessing Damage............................
Current Errors: Stabilizer Failure, Heat Control Compromised, Casing Damaged................
Assessing Material Requirement....................
1000 Units Resonate Enderium................
256300 Units Void Steel..............................
2500 Units Electrum..................
Diagnostic Complete..........................................
I growl in anger, I have many more trips to get that much Void Steel. Then I realize I have to make Electrum, a common conductor used in computers, and then I also have to forge it. I have a lot of work to do...
Celestia POV
I am, for the first time, truly disappointed in my student.
"Twilight, you understand what you have done right? You have more than likely permanently damaged a possible positive relationship to Equestria." Twilight looked downcast under my gaze and said,
"I-I know, but he had no reason-" Luna then yelled at her,
"He had every reason to finish off that pompous snob, first Blueblood insulted him, calling him beast and commoner. Then, Blueblood challenged him to the duel, knowing that the terms were set they fought. And on Blueblood's own terms, Blueblood lost, but attempted to assassinate Judge, who is not a citizen of Equestria might I add. So, he did what the duel laws of his military organisation, which he was COMMANDER of, which from the memories his master gave me, has duel laws where if the loser does not fulfill their side of the deal, they are imprisoned or killed, depending on the wager, and if the loser attacks the victor, its an immediate death sentence."
"But this is no longer the Dracochrome or Sanctuary, however, Blueblood would have had a life sentence anyways for the assassination, and I intended on getting rid of Blueblood, he was a criminal, something Luna discovered recently. He was part of a slave circle Twilight. Blueblood was a bad pony, I don't condone the murder but Judge was in the right. I believe we should begin searching to help repair our friendship." Twilight nods, and leaves, as it is getting late.
"Sister, you should rest, I shall see if Judge does so as well, as he might let me in." I nod and walk out of the dining room, I am not worried for Judges safety, but for ours. I believe that he may have begun searching for ruins of his old home, with the technology I've seen from him, he would be able to easily take on the world alone, much less with an army of machines.
Judge POV
Construction Drone Fabrication Complete....................
Awaiting Orders.............
"Begin construction chain for a Basic Alloy Smelter" The newly fabricated construction drone beeped and whizzed, then sent me the required resources needed in its stockpile.
Basic Alloy Smelter:
20 Units Copper
10 Units Steel
5 Units Gold
Resource status: No resources
Just like the survivalist challenge in the Dracochrome, start with little, make a lot. I activate my Void Claws and begin creating a tunnel, so that I may obtain the required resources from this plentiful planet.
