Butterflies are not what they seem...
The Chaotic Pegasus
Previous ChapterMonday, Early morning. April 23rd.
So this is the town...." Said a Pegasus who was darker then black itself as he stood on top of a hill that overlooked a small town of colorful buildings. It was early in the morning, as Celestia's sun ray's we're slowly beaming over the hills, and behind the black Pegasus, whose face was hidden by a long brown robe that covered his entire body, including his long, black wings. It's been days of walking, and a week worth of traveling from his land, Chaotica, to get to this small town known as 'Ponyville'. It would have been faster if the Grandmaster didn't make him walk across the entire land for three days straight. Hell, he would have been already at the town in less than six hours if he was allowed to fly, but no... That bastard.
He gave a sigh that was mixed with grief and lack of energy, as all four of his legs were already worn out from the three day hike. He also didn't have anything to eat for the last three days, and while his time on a Chaotican ship that transported him from his land to Equestria, all he had to eat was nothing but stale bread and rotten apples. He could already feel his stomach growling like a timber wolf, as he puts a hoof to his stomach. Probably the only kindness the Grandmaster showed him for this mission was a bag of currency used in Equestria, known as 'Bits.' He just prays it's enough for him to get something good to eat while he's here for his mission
He has been tasked to go to this town, which was known to hold Equestria's longest living assassination cult, and rivals of his clan, The Shadowsteed, known as the Ghost Butterflies... You could already tell it was created by a mare because of the name... His mission was to kill the leader of the cult, bringing them down to their knees and show that The Shadowsteed's will be the dominate clan of this world. The Grandmaster never told him how to kill the leader, so he has lots of plans for his target that involve Hooks, knives, scalpels and saws... He planned to do both Psychological and physically tortures, making his target beg for his or her life, before he deal's the final blow and end the cult for good.
His train of torturing thoughts was soon interrupted by another growl from his stomach, letting out a sigh as he slowly started his descend from the hill and down to the town. He knew well he won't be getting anything involving meat in this town, as these ponies are only herbivores, so he hopes that they have a bakery or something that sells sweets, as he himself... Isn't a grass eating type of stallion. Sure, he know's it's good for them, if he had steak with it... Wonder if he could sneak a cattle from one of these farms, and make some tasty steak...
He mumbled something in chaotican, knowing he isn't allowed to do that while he is over here, or he would probably lose his 'fifth' leg to the block back home to the Grandmaster. He also has to be careful while his here, for all he knows the entire town might be the the Ghost Butterflies. That would mean to take his time eating the food here, to see if it's not poison or drugged, and be careful when he has to socialize with a pony that lives here... As he grew closer to the town, he could already smell something tasty... Like... Cotton candy?
Before he could question it, a Pink pony appeared right in front of his face with a big happy grin, as she looked into his eyes with nothing but happiness. He almost... Almost took out his knife and stabbed her in the neck, if it weren't for her innocent looking eyes, and giggling.
"Hi there!!" The cotton candy pony started to speak in a high, cheery voice... He could already tell this town is going to kill him. "I'm Pinkie pie! And you must be a new pony!! Because I never seen you before, and I know everypony in ponyville! If I don't know you, then that means your a new pony to ponyville! Oh! Are you moving into ponyville? Where ya from??"
His face, hidden by the hood of the cloak, was already in a confused, shy, and a flustered state. What's with this pink pony, and why the hell does she smell like cotton candy... Or is that cupcakes he smells? Whatever it is, he can't be talking too much to the local's as it might jeopardize his mission here... "To answer your questions: No, and Somewhere." He said, his tone showed of a old western accent as he continued to trot forward, hoping for this pink pony just to ignore him...
It didn't seem to work. She continued to follow him: Hopping around him, giggling, snorting, laughing... and Talking. She kept talking, and talking... and talking... about her friends, and what she does. Hell, it even got to the point where she herself doesn't know what she's talking about...
"And then I was like 'Kapow!' Then, I was like 'Fooosh!!' and finally I went 'Weeeeeeee!!' all the way home~ And Let me tell you, that was the most funzise's I ever had that day with Dashie!~ Well, till next day of course when she took me to couldsdale to see the Wonderbolts show! Do you know about the wonderbolts? Dashie is a big big BIG Fan! and wants to be a Wonderbolt just like them~ Oh, and this one time I-"
He made a complete stop, did a 180 degree's spin to face her, and gave her one hell of a damn stare right into her eyes that could possibly give anypony a heart attack... or a heartsplosion. "Go. Away. Now." He said, with much anger as he spun around and finally trotted into town, now hopefully she won't follow him...
Pinkie pie just blinked, but giggled and shrugged it off. "Well, isn't he a grumpy Shadowsteed assassin... Oh well! I'm gonna go find Dashie~" She said to herself as she soon hopped in a different direction, heading to Rainbow Dash's house, and possibly see if she would like to go do some pranks...
He looked over her shoulder, satasfied that the pink puff ball is gone, he continued to trot into the lively community of this town. Their were colorful ponies everywhere, with these things called "Cutie marks" on their flanks: Working, playing and much. It does feel like his homeland, but they live off the lands like Indian's, and don't have power like these ponies does.
He soon trotted into the center of the town, where a big fountain was and sat on a bench, far away from the other ponies. He kept a watchful eye out for his target, which he has no clue who would it be...
He might as well wait.
