After missing the greatest party ever thrown, Spike, Pinkie and Gabby materialized in the main hall of the old castle. The only problem was the landing, it was still a pain. They popped out with Spike being under his two friends, and when they landed, Spike was consumed in gray and pink. Pinkie was giggling and Gabby groaned. "Spike, where are we?" Asked the griffon, she was trying to stop the room from spinning. But Spike was unable to answer, his face, head, and upper back was experiencing the combined weight of one Pinkie and one Gabby.

Spike sighed as he tried his best to push his two friends off of his body without hurting them. It worked pretty well, Pinkie just fluttered to the ground lazily, but Gabby was not ready for the toss, she was thrown off of his body, but before she could land Spike caught her with his tail. Right now she was hanging upside down, with Spikes tail wrapped around her barrel. "Sorry about that Gabby." Said Spike.

Gabby looked at Spike, she took a deep breath. "Spike, can you put me down right now?" Asked Gabby.

Spike nodded as he put her on the ground, she nodded. "Good, now where are the others?" Asked Gabby.

Spike shrugged. "No clue, they should be here right now?" Asked Spike. Spike looked up. "Queen are you here?" Yelled Spike. Suddenly Spike heard the sound of buzzing from above. He looked up and noticed Queen and her escorts, they were hurt. Queen landed on Spikes arm. "Queen!? What happened?" Asked Spike. Queen buzzed as she pointed to right out side of the castles main gates. Spike nodded. "Got it, you did great, get some rest and heal up." Said Spike. Queen buzzed, she and her escorts flew into their tube. Spike sighed as he looked to Pinkie and Gabby. "We have a problem. There is something big in the castle, all of the others are outside the gates right now." Spike looked to his arm. "OK QUEEN IS HURT, WERE GOING IN!" Yelled Spike.

"We have our orders, nothing hurts our family without knowing how it feels to get hurt 10 times over." Said Alvin. Suddenly the whole crossbow started to shake.

Spike gulped. "This isn't going to end well." Said Spike as he equipped Banger and Wallop, he looked at the two, they were changed into their power mode. Banger squeaked some no doubt strong profanity and Wallop looked like he wanted to bludgeon something with his body. Spike sighed. "Ok, were going in there, were killing what ever hurt Queen, then were going to come back here and have a nice relaxing cup of tea." Said Spike as he looked at Pinkie and Gabby. "Pinkie take Gabby to the others, they're outside. I'll handle this." Said Spike as he smiled.

Pinkie nodded. "Ok Spike." She looked at Gabby and grabbed her hand. "Come on, I want to know more about how you know Spike." Said Pinkie as she dragged Gabby off before she could object.

Spike looked down the halls, it was now or never, he started the search for the creature. "Ok first stop: The garden."

Pinkie and Gabby walked out of the castle and they saw all the others, huddled together, right in front of the door. The moment they saw each other, the larger of the two groups pulled the smaller group away from the castle. "MOVE!" Yelled the larger group.

Pinkie and Gabby looked at their friends and family, all of them were scared, even AJ, Rainbow, and Gilda were scared. Gilda brought Gabby into a hug. "Thank Celestia your safe."

Gabby tried to push away from Gilda and ask what the problem was. "Gilda, what's wrong?"

"Chimera!" Yelled Gilda.

Pinkie looked over to her friends. "Really, is that all?" Asked Pinkie, she then looked to AJ. "AJ, you've dealt with a Chimera before, why are you scared?"

AJ shook her head. "I don't have my gear, and it's not like I carry ricotta cheese on me all the time."

Pinkie sighed as she pulled on her coat, revealing her actual coat, her top coat was just that, a coat colored pink. But the real question for the moment, was the fact that Pinkie's outer coat had a large amount of food stuffs, including a large glob of ricotta cheese in the pockets. She grabbed it and tossed it to AJ. "This is why I never leave home without my supplies." Said Pinkie as she returned her coat to normal.

AJ looked at the ricotta, then to Pinkie, but she just shook her head. "I don't wanta know." Said AJ as she took initiative and walked back into the castle.

Pinkie smiled as she looked to Gabby. "Ok, with that settled, Gabby can you please tell us how you know Spike?"

Gabby looked sheepish as she blushed slightly. "Well, you see, after I lied about getting my own cutie mark, I might have run into Spike as he was walking around town. He noticed me and offered to by me some Ice cream from Sugar Cube Corner."

"Wait, where was I?" Asked Pinkie as she pulled out a long list of things she has done, she looked down the list and couldn't find 'Gave Spike and his griffon friend Gabby ice cream.' She looked at Gabby confused.

Gabby shrugged. "Well, I think Spike said you and Applejack were called by the cutie map for a mission, so Mr. Cake served us."

Pinkie looked at her list again and right there she found it. 'Me and AJ heading home after map mission.' Pinkie shrugged as she rolled the list back up and placed it back into her hair. "Seems legit, so after you guys got ice cream what happened?"

Gabby blushed a little more. "We stayed in the shop for a while, and just talked. I told him how I wasn't like other griffons, I was never big into money, I was always happy and I was always talking, but instead of just dismissing what I said or taking off, Spike actually sat there and listened to me talk. We stayed like that for about 2 hours, all he did was listen to me, he knew I was feeling out of place, but time wasn't on our side, he had to go home. That whole time we talked and I didn't even catch his name, he didn't mind, all he did was smile and tell me not to worry. But I did, here was a great guy, who bought me ice cream, listened to me talk about myself for hours, and I didn't even know his name. I asked him if he wanted to talk again, but he told me he was going to be out of town for a few days."

Twilight nodded. "Yeah, I remember that, it was one of the few times a year Spike could spend with Celestia and Luna, he doesn't miss that for anything."

Gabby nodded. "Yeah, but then he told me he knew a unicorn that could enchant some papers that when burnt are send to a pony, all he needed was one of my feathers. So I gave him one, and that was the last time I saw him. But soon letters started to pop out of nowhere in front of me, I would reply on the back and burn them again to send them back."

All the girls awed at the cute story. "That explains so much." Said Pinkie.

Suddenly the door to the castle opened, but instead of Spike or AJ walking out, it was the chimera, it looked terrified as it hid behind Fluttershy. "Please call off the dragon and his demon spawn." Cried the chimeras tiger head. Everyone looked at the normally deadly beast and how it was acting like it was looking into the face of death.

Twilight looked at the chimera and walked over to it. "Um..."

"Where is she?" Yelled Spike as he and AJ ran through the front doors. The chimera yelped as she tried to make herself smaller behind the shy mare. Everyone looked at Spike, his arm was bleeding and AJ was trying to stop him from moving.

"SPIKE?!" Yelled everyone, but Spike wasn't listening, he was to focused on the chimera, who was doing a poor job at hiding.

Spike walked straight up to Fluttershy, he looked at her and smiled. "Shy, would you mind moving, I want to have a small conversation with our new friend?" Asked Spike.

Fluttershy gulped, she was an animal lover and even if the chimera was dangerous, she had to protect it. She shook her head. "No."

Spike sighed as he used his tail to pick up Fluttershy, she epped as she was moved away from the beast she was protecting. Now that her protection was gone the chimera was helpless, so she did the first thing that came to her minds, beg for mercy. "Please, I'm sorry for hurting those bee things, I thought the place was abandoned, please don't kill us." begged the goat head. "PLEASE?" Cried the viper head.

Spike looked at the Chimera confused. "Wait, kill you, I'm not going to kill you."

All three heads looked at him confused. "Your not?"

Spike shook his head. "Of course not, I only kill things that really piss me off. You've only slightly pissed me off, but unless you want to walk away from this you are going to need to make amends with Queen and the others, agreed?" Asked Spike.

All three heads nodded rapidly, it was better than dying. But then the snake head opened its mouth. "But what about your arm?"

Spike looked at his arm. "Hmm, oh when the hell did this shit happen?" Asked Spike, completely unaware until this moment that his arm now had a set of scratch marks in the shape of a tigers claw.

"It happened when you grabbed my head, and my sister attacked you with her claws." Said the snake.

Spike shrugged. "Meh, I'll be fine, Mal, how bad is it?"

Mal swapped out with Spike. "Well, a few scales are broken, and we have a few cuts that drew blood, but nothing too bad."

All the girls gasped as they looked at the amount of blood flowing from the wound. "How is that not bad, that's a lot of blood?" Asked Starlight.

Mal shrugged. "Dumb ass decided to run around before I could patch us up, right now our heart rate is pretty high, so more blood is pumping through our body, more blood flow, more blood coming out. Now I'm going back in there and patching us up."

Spike looked at the chimera. "Ok, lets head inside of the castle and talk this out like civilized creatures." Everyone nodded as they entered the castle. They took a seat next to Spikes base camp as Spike lit the fire. The chimera was sitting as far away from Spike as possible, while everyone else was sitting as close to him as possible.

Spike sighed. "Ok, first off, you should know that if your attacks result in the death of any of my family, I will kill you." Said Spike in a serious tone. All three heads nodded rapidly. "Second, I would like to know why you are here instead of your normal hunting grounds in the Flame Geyser Swamp."

The tiger head sighed. "We lost our territory to a bunch of Timberwolfs, of all creatures."

Spike was surprised. "Timberwolfs in the fire swamps? That can't be right."

The goat head nodded. "Its true, they looked like they just went through a fight with a hydra, but they had a numbers advantage. There were like 6 or 7 of them, and we just barely made it out with our life, we followed their tracks and it lead us here."

Spike winced. "Yeah, that's on me. I might of drove off a pack of Timberwolf from the area last week."

The Chimera was now more terrified of Spike, they got over run by the pack, and they had three heads, but Spike drove them off alone. But Spike sighed. "Ok, I'm a drake that owns up to his mistakes." He looked at the chimera. "So, if you'd like, I'll go take care of them, or if you'd rather, you can stay here until you decide to leave?"

All three heads were shocked, they expected a lot of things to happen, but being asked if they wanted to stay was not on that list. They remained silent as they tried to process the question.

It took them a few moments to give Spike an answer. "Are you sure we can stay?" Asked the goat head.

Spike nodded. "I don't mind, I was looking for something that would keep this place standing while I'm gone." Spike was thinking of trying to train some local wildlife but this was easier.

The chimera smiled as it pounced onto Spike. The snake head wrapped around his tail, as the two heads nuzzled their new land lord. "Thank you." Said all three. The tiger head started to lick Spikes face, and in all honesty it was a weird feeling.

Spike was laughing as he tried to push off the three headed beast. "Ok, ok, let me go, we still need to talk about some stuff." Said Spike, but the chimera wasn't listening, they were still happy to know they weren't going to die. But a cats tongue was still a cats tongue, so Spike used his strength to pick up the chimera. "Ok, that's enough."

Spike placed the chimera on the ground and looked at the three heads. "First off, if you want to stay here, there will be some ground rules. The first of which is, no more hurting my family, that includes ponies and other creatures. Second, you can hunt for meat, but I want you to talk to Fluttershy first." Spike moved his tail to grab said mare and showed her to the chimera. "She knows about the animal population in the area. If she says its good to hunt, your clear."

All three heads looked at Fluttershy, as she was trying to hide from it. Spike sighed as he put the mare down. "Lastly, if you want to stay here your going to have to protect this place from other creatures." Said Spike.

All three heads thought for a moment. The castle was nice, out of the elements, they already found a nice room to sleep in. Sure they wouldn't be able to hunt ponies anymore, but with new prey to hunt, they could easily live without pony. There wasn't really a down side to this deal.

The chimera walked over to Spike, making the ponies that were trying to hide behind him run to the other side of the fire. But Spike didn't move, instead, he smirked. The two years he was alone on Modus, he had to get out of a lot of situations where violence wasn't the only answer, it was the answer that he liked the most though.

Chimera took a seat next to Spike. "Thank you Master." Said the heads. Spike smiled as he started to scratch the goat head. The tiger purred, the snake hissed, and the goat head hummed at the feeling of their new master scratching them.

Spike looked at the heads. "So do you three have names or is it just Chimera?"

"I'm Bella." Said the goat head.

"I'm Eve." Said the tiger head.

"And I'm Sophie." Said the snake.

Spike smiled, he was getting tired of just thinking of them as Chimera. "Well, welcome to the family Bella, Eve, Sophie." Said Spike as he continued to scratch the head.

All of the ponies and griffins were shocked at Spike, he just tamed the chimera. But Discord popped into the room and looked at the sight. He laughed and did a Pinkie. He closed all the mouths and smiled at his work.

He looked at Spike who was still scratching his new pet. "Hey Spike."

Spike looked at Discord, not shocked to see him here. "Hey Discord, you just show up?"

Discord nodded. "Yep, I felt a disturbance in the force, did you make a sign pop up?" Asked Discord.

Spike sighed. "So you didn't do that?" Asked Spike, Discord shook his head. Spike sighed again. "I guess I did."

Discord sighed as he was disappointed, and he had a feeling that this was going to hurt. "Hey Spike, remember when I told you about my boss from way back when?"

Spike nodded. "Yeah, pain in the ass, real jerk about your powers, a few days off. What about him?"

"Well, I never told you this, but it wasn't a guy, she was a she, and she might of not retired as much as she got maternity leave."

Spike gulped, he had a bad feeling about this. Discord handed Spike a photo of his old bosses going away party/ baby shower. Spike looked at the photo and his eyes fell on a younger Discord standing by a very familiar black dragoness with five colored horns and a noticeable egg belly. Discord chuckled. "Yep, turns out that you got chaos in your blood, that's why your powers are manifesting sooner than expected."

Spike sighed as he handed the photo back to Discord. Spike took a deep breath as he tried to process that his long dead mother was his predecessors boss. "You know what, I'm ok with this." Said Spike. "At least I'm in the family business."

Discord smiled. "Yep, but that's not the real reason I'm here Spike." Discord then pulled out a ring and showed it to Spike, the ring was black with a silver skull on it with a blood red ruby in the mouth of the skull, he placed it into Spikes hand.

Spike brought it to his face and looked at Discord questioningly. "Um... Thanks for the ring Discord, but if this is your way of telling me you have feelings for me?"

Discord sighed as he gave Spike a slap to the head with a disembodied arm that popped out of nowhere. "No you idiot, that's your pass to Death's office."

Spike looked at the ring then to Discord. "So I can?" Asked Spike.

Discord nodded. "Yep, but visiting hours are Monday through Friday, 2 pm to 6 pm."

Spike smiled, it was Monday and it was around 4. Spike smiled at Discord. "Thanks D, I'm going to test it out, why don't you play with Sophie, Belle and Eve while I'm gone?" Suggested Spike. He looked at Sophie, Belle and Eve. "Girls have fun with him, he's immortal." All the heads looked at Discord, they pounced onto him. Spike laughed, but he looked at all of the ponies and griffons. "See you guys later, I'm going to die for a moment." Spike smiled as he placed the ring onto his claw, his world went dark.

A few seconds later Spike was in the after life. Spike looked around but it was all white. "Hello, you must be Spike." Said a feminine voice.

Spike looked around for a moment but he couldn't see anything, so he nodded. "Yes, that's me, are you Death?" Asked Spike.

"Yep, that's me sweetie." Said Death. "Don't worry, no one around here can see me. I only appear to those who are actually dead. So Discord gave you the ring I see. Well its going to take your family some time to get to the entrance. Would you like something to drink while you wait for them?" Asked Death.

Spike smiled. "Thanks, but I got a lot of questions to ask you, do you mind staying until they show?"

Death giggled as she made a cup of coffee appear in front of Spike. "Spike, let me tell you, being Death is not what you think it is. Grim is the one who goes down to reality, I'm just a glorified help desk. Most of my day is spent helping mortals deal with the change, also where to find the best burger joint. It's on the corner of cloud 8794646 and Cherry lane, by the way."

Spike chuckled as he took a sip of coffee. It was great, not to strong, but not to weak, just the right about of bitterness but still sweet. "Ok thanks for the information." Spike looked around the office. "So, can you tell me why I don't seem to want to stay dead, I mean I've died 10 times now, but I keep going back?" Asked Spike.

"Well, you see, Boss gave your mother a special deal when he found out about you. The gods of chaos are prone to have disasters around them, many of which effect their loved ones, so long ago, before your mother was employed, and before I was Death, Boss made sure that anyone related to us would be given a chance to live on. All of his employees and our families are given a set amount of time that we are allowed to go back before its permanent. Tiamat gave hers up for you Spike, so did Bahamut. All together they had a long time stored up, and the majority of it was given to you to keep your egg alive." Spike felt horrible about that. "But if it helps, they gave it up willingly. As for you, you got about 754 years of overtime on your soul left, but to be honest, to a dragon, that's chump change."

Spike sighed. "I didn't know about that, but I guess they gave me so much and I didn't even know who they were until a few years ago."

Death laughed. "Spike, I talk to so many old creatures, and the one thing I know is that's what parents do, they give and give for their kids and never expect anything in return, and rarely do they ever get it in their life times."

Spike nodded at the words. "Thanks, Discord was right, you really are kind." He took another sip of coffee. "So, I got to know, and no offense to you, but this place seems kinda boring, you mentioned a burger joint but I don't see anything."

"Well, technically your in purgatory, your parents are upstairs along with Lilith, but the elevator should be arriving soon, as for what we have, it would take the rest of your life to tell you about everything. But my favorite points are the full service lava spa, the dance hall, Brew street, and the observation room."

Suddenly a door in the white space opened up and in walked a skeleton made up of many different creatures bones dressed in a hooded robe. A desk popped into the white space and the skeleton took a seat.

The skeleton looked at Spike, but to be more accurate he was looking to the left of him. "Hey mom, how are you doing today?"

Death giggled as Spike looked around him. "Um... no offense, but I'm not your mother." Said Spike.

"Spike, he's talking to me. Hey Grim, how was reality today?"

Grim shrugged. "Meh, it was ok, but we are expecting a few new arrivals in the next hour or so. Also, I know others can't see you, but can you at least wear something less provocative while I'm around?"

Death giggled. "Nope, this is how I get my kicks around here." Said Death.

Spike looked at Grim. "Do I want to know?" Asked Spike.

"Stockings, shoulder gloves, panties, that's it." Whispered Death. Spike blushed as he felt two warm and soft somethings on his back.

Grim groaned as he tossed a pencil at his mother, it hit her head, and the warm somethings on Spike were gone. "Stop that, he's only 22 and I doubt that he wants to have his first time to be with Death." Said Grim, he looked at Spike. "I'm sorry for her, the names Grim, its nice to meet you Spike." Said Grim as he stuck out his hand.

Spike smiled as he took the hand, it was creepy at first but not as weird as shaking a wing of a clakerz. "Nice to meet you too Grim. I got to ask, was she only wearing stockings, shoulder gloves and panties?" Asked Spike.

Grim sighed as he nodded. "Yep, Spike a little advice from one son to another. Never work with family." Said Grim. Spike laughed as he nodded. "Also your parents and grandmother are about to arrive. I'm going to take care of my mom, she and Tia don't have a great relationship, after she tried to give me a little brother or sister with your dad when he first arrived."

Spike nodded as it was probably for the best. Grim walked over to his mother and pulled her out of the office through the same door he walked in from. "Come on mom, I need a cup of coffee." Said Grim.

"No, I don't want to go, I want to see Tia and Bahamut and tell them that Spike was going to be part of the family." Grim sighed as he hit his mother in the head.

Spike looked at the very weird family leave as information on anime from the human world popped into his head. Spike sighed as he now knew how to process what he just saw. "I do not envy her at all, but they were warm and honestly nice." Said Spike.

Suddenly a large door opened out of the white space and out walked Bahamut, Tiamat, and Lilith. Spike smiled. "Hey guys." Said Spike.

Lilith was about to launch herself at Spike but she was stopped by Tiamat who sighed. "I swear, if you are dead again, I will send you to your new room for the next 100 years." Said Tiamat.

Spike laughed as he showed the ring on his hand. "Sorry to kill the punishment, but I'm here for a visit." Said Spike.

Tiamat smiled as she released Lilith. "SPIKE!" Cheered Lilith as she latched herself around Spike's neck and kissed his cheek.

Spike laughed as he just let this happen. "Hey grandma. I told Mom and Luna what you said." Said Spike, he looked to his father. "Hey dad, Ember is going to have some fun with the scepter, and I added my own blood to it, its called Delivery." He looked at his mother. "Also, I doubt that you know this, but I'm your successor." Said Spike. This made Lilith stop, Bahamut to drop his jaw, and for his mother to faint.

Spike laughed as he removed his grandmother from him, he closed his fathers mouth and got his mother to her feet. She looked at him. "So your an assistant god?" Asked Tiamat.

Spike nodded. "Discord told me about your job, and might I say, you looked very fat with me at your party." Laughed Spike. "But very happy."

Tiamat sighed as she was planning how to get back at Discord. "Yep, but that can wait for next time. This is the first time we actually have to spend as a family, lets not talk shop."

Spike smiled as he gave his mother a hug. "Of course mom, and thanks for the time, I promise to use it well." Said Spike.

Tiamat smiled as she returned the hug. "Make sure you find a mate first, I want grandwhelps."

Spike laughed. "So, Grim told me about what Death tried to do with Dad, she also tried to do the same thing with me." Spike was then squeezed tight against his mothers scales.

"That bitch, next poker night I'm taking her for all she has." Growled Tiamat.

Spike laughed, this wasn't the first time one of his mothers got protective, but this was different from Celestia, this was something that he had felt before, the sound of her heart beat, her warmth, it was so familiar. Spike smiled. "Hey mom, as much as I would like to see where she would end up if you two fought, I wasn't expecting to stay long today. I kinda got plans to explain to Twilight and the others why I'm good friends with a griffon named Gabby, plus I need to make sure Belle, Eve and Sophie are behaving." Spike then thought of a question. "Hey, are pets allowed here?" Asked Spike.

Bahamut nodded. "Yep, you might of not met Vincent before you were taken, but he was my pet lava hound, he's resting back at our cave right now, but once a pet dies, they are allowed to stay with their owners. Peewee will be here one day, but phoenixes are immortal birds, that will be reborn until they willingly give up their rebirth."

Spike faceclawed so hard that his face was now red. "Crap, I forgot to find Peewee." Spike looked at Bahamut. "Thanks for that dad."

"No problem son." Said Bahamut.

Spike looked at Lilith, he gave her a hug. "Love you grandma." Said Spike.

Lilith smiled as she returned the hug. "Love you too Spike, behave and don't get into too much trouble."

Spike looked at his mother and smiled. "Mom, we'll talk shop next time at the house, I want to see the after life, and maybe check out that burger joint Death told me about."

Tiamat smiled. "Sure thing, you got to try their gem shakes though."

Spike smiled. "Tell Death, thanks for talking with me."

Tiamat sighed as she nodded. "Fine."

Spike looked at his new ring. He removed it as he looked at his family.

Spike's eyes shot open as he took a large gulp of air.

So now Spike has a guard tigar, goat, snake. Spike got his visitor pass to see his parents, now lets get to the splanin.
I'm sorry for it taking so long, I was struggeling on how to work with this, but i think this will make a funny chapter down the line similer to sidekicks, plus Peewee is coming back.
