Dragon on the Moon
What Happend in the Library Stays in the Library pt. 2
Previous ChapterNext ChapterLuna kept handing Spike one book at a time, every book either made the computer bing or ping, telling them if it was checked out or it was just taken off the shelves. By Lunas count there were over 200 books in total, and all of them ranged from fantasy romance to anatomy books of animals. But once they were finished, the whole of the return cart was full. Spike sighed as he looked at the now empty bucket. "Finally!" Cheered Spike, taking full advantage of the fact that the library was closed.
Luna giggled at Spike. 'You know, he is actually pretty cute when he smiles.' Thought Luna, she then blushed. 'Wait, no, I'm his principal, I can't have those kinds of thoughts about a student.'
Spike looked at Luna, he noticed her red face, and instead of thinking the obvious, he thought like Spike. 'Oh, she's been sitting on the ground for so long, her legs must be so stiff she can't get up, and she doesn't want to ask for help.' Thought Spike as he got out of his seat. "Need some help?" Asked Spike as he reached out his hand.
Luna looked at him. 'Oh, what a gentleman.' Thought Luna as she took the hand. "Thank you Spike."
Spike smiled as he pulled her off the ground with little effort. "Not a problem, Ms. Luna." Said Spike. But when Luna tried to take a step forward on her own, her legs were actually stiff, so she stumbled. Spike quickly grabbed her waist, trying to prevent her from falling. "Wo, I got you." Said Spike as he stopped the fall.
Luna looked at Spike, she looked at his arms around her waist, there were definitely some muscles at work right now. It was a insult to ever ask a lady her weight, and it was always an understatement if they ever had to tell. Lunas drivers license said she weighed 124 lb. but in truth she was a little over 130, but her excuse was it was all in her boobs. She looked at Spike, he was smiling at her, happy to have stopped her from hurting herself. "Are you ok, Ms. Luna?" Asked Spike.
Luna blushed and she nodded. "Yes, thanks for helping me Spike." Then she felt something rubbing at her lower back, they were really close to her underwear. 'Oh god, his hands are a little too low, I need to get out of his grasp.' Thought Luna. She cleared her throat. "Spike, my legs are fine now, you can let go." Said Luna.
Spike blushed, he just realized that he was still holding on to her, and had been for a few minutes now. Spike quickly let her go. "Right, sorry, just wanted to make sure that you were good." Said Spike. He looked at the clock on the wall, they still had a half an hour before any other students would even show up at the school. Spike tried to get back to the task at hand. "Ok, since your better, lets start with getting a list of all the books we scanned, the list will have their location on it." Said Spike as he turned to the computer, he clicked a button marked 'Scanned', and a list of all the books they scanned popped up, it showed the cover, the title, its relation in the Dewey Decimal System, and which bookcase they belonged to. Spike printed the list, this was a lot easier than walking back to the computer to look up its location, and once it was printed Spike motioned for Luna to use the keys on the cabinet that held the printer. "Ms. Luna, the printer is in the cabinet, would you mind?" Asked Spike.
Luna shook her head. "Not at all." Said Luna as she walked over to the cabinet and squatted down to be level with the lock. Spike rolled back in the chair to give her some room, and so he didn't get another look down her shirt. But it didn't end as Spike expected, turns out that Luna's shirt was a little too short, and her underwear was a little too high. So when she squatted down Spike got a quick shot of her panty line. 'Oh god, they match.' Thought Spike as he quickly looked away from his principals underwear, hoping to hide the blush on his face, and the slowly growing bulge in his pants.
Luna got the locked cabinet opened as she stood back up. She grabbed the pieces of paper and started to look over them. "Ok, it looks like most of the books are from the nonfiction area. So lets start there." Said Luna.
Spike nodded. "Ok, you handle the list, I'll handle the cart." Said Spike. He got up from the chair and started to push the cart.
Luna and Spike were walking around the nonfiction section of the library. "Ok, so the back half of the library is for nonfiction, the front half is for fiction. You tell me the title and the shelf number, I'll run up and down the isles and place the books in a stack in front of their shelfs, then we can go back and place them on the shelf." Said Spike.
Luna nodded. "Ok, lets start with row one, we have 7 books here..." Said Luna.
Once Spike and Luna had finished stacking all the books in the rows, it was time for them to go ahead and reshelf them. "Remember to organize the books by the authors last name." Said Spike.
Luna nodded. "Yes sir." Said Luna, giving Spike a salute.
Spike laughed. "Ok, lets get to shelving." Said Spike.
Spike and Luna were about half way through shelving the books, Spike was working on a stack closer to the ground and Luna was trying to reach the top of one of the large 10 foot bookcases. 'Agh, I can't reach.' Thought Luna, then she thought of another way to get to the top shelf. 'Ok, lets hope all of those times Tia dragged me along to her rock climbing lessons have payed off.' Luna tossed off her shoes, she didn't want to damage the bookcase, and placed one foot on the lowest shelf, that was mostly empty. This was a bad idea for many reasons, the bookcase was top heavy, Luna was leaning back to keep her balance and she could hurt herself if she fell.
Spike walked over to Luna to see if he could help her with her set of books. "Hey, Ms. Luna, I finished my- GOD WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Yelled Spike as he ran over to get her down, but it was to late, Luna turned her head to look at Spike, she lost her grip, and fell on her ass. The bookcase was coming down and it was going to land straight on Luna. Spike knew that the bookcase was made of oak, and at ten feet tall, it weighed an easy 500lbs without the books, the books on the other hand were going to hit Luna first. Spike ran over to Luna and used his body to prop the case up, letting most of the books hit him instead. He looked at Luna.
"OH GOD, SPIKE." Cried Luna.
Spike grit his teeth as he tried to push the bookcase back up. "MOVE!" Yelled Spike. Luna understood that Spike was holding up the case just to let her get out from under it, so she jumped out of the bookcase's path. 'Ok Spike, you have one chance to get this right, your going to lose this battle no matter what, but this is your best shot of getting out of this without getting hurt.' Thought Spike as he used all of his strength to push the case up just enough to jump to the side. Spike jumped, and the bookcase landed on the ground with a loud thud, the only problem was it also landed on Spike's left leg.
Luna ran over to Spike. "Oh god." Said Luna as she tried to lift the bookcase off of Spike's leg. She looked at Spike. "Spike, say something, please." Said Luna. But Spike was unresponsive. Luna looked over to Spike's head and noticed a line of blood running from his head. In his final push against the bookcase, Spike was hit in the head by the corner of one of the books. Luna started to panic. 'Ok, Spike is knocked out, bleeding, and might have a broken leg. Think, try and remember what Discord taught you to do in situations like this.' Thought Luna.
Her older brother Discord was a crazy adrenalin junky, who had broken nearly every bone in his body, and right now Luna needed to remember what to do. Luna took a deep breath. "Ok, panicking is the worst thing to do right now. I need to set Spike's leg, but first I need to get the bookcase off of him." Said Luna. She looked at Spikes leg, it was holding the weight of the case, so to release the pressure on the limb, Luna grabbed all the books she could reach and propped the case up with the books. Then using all her strength Luna lifted the case inch by inch and placed a book on top of the stack so Spike's leg was released. Luna released the bookcase, and pulled Spike out from under it.
"Ok, now that Spike's leg is free, I need to keep it straight." Luna ran over to the desk, she grabbed Spikes hoodie, a few books that had fallen, and a few rulers from the desk. Luna started off by strapping the rulers to Spike's tibia with one of his hoodie's sleeves, she hoped that this was enough to help him keep it still, she then used the books to sandwich Spike's femur together and used his other sleeve to tie it. "Ok now that's done, I need to call 9-1-1." Said Luna. She ran over to her jacket and pulled out her phone.
"9-1-1, what is your emergency?" Asked the operator.
"My name is Luna Solaris, one of my students was helping me with reorganizing the library at CHS, a bookcase fell on his leg, he's knocked out, bleeding, and I don't know if his leg is broken."
"Ok, keep him still, but try and straiten his leg, it could mean the difference between walking again or not. I'm sending a emergency team to your location right now. Until they arrive, stay on the line and I'll walk you through how to apply a splint to his leg." Said the Operator. "First is his leg free from the bookcase?"
"Yes, I propped the bookcase up using some books, and pulled him out from it. I also have made a rudimentary splint from what I had on hand."
"Good, the EMT's are only a few minutes away, let go of his leg, they will treat it more when they arrive, now its time to deal with his head wound. Grab any absorbent material you have nearby, lightly soak up the blood, then apply pressure to the wound, this will help it clot and restrict the flow of blood to the wound."
"On it." Luna grabbed her coat, it was brand new, but right now, she didn't care. She moved Spikes head and followed instructions. "Ok, I'm applying pressure."
"Good, the ambulance has just arrived at the school, and the team is rushing up the stairs right now."
"Thank you for your help." Said Luna as she hung up the phone. Suddenly a group of 4 men rushed into the library carrying a stretcher. They rushed over to Spike, put him into a neck brace, and lifted him onto the stretcher.
They rolled Spike over to the door. One of the EMT's looked at Luna. "Ma'am please gather all of your belongings, right now, you are the only one who knows about this, your riding with us." Said the man.
Luna nodded. Right now she was in charge of Spike's well being, so she didn't have a choice. She grabbed her phone, and all of Spike's stuff and carried it down the stairs with Spike. By this point some of the students were arriving at the school, and all of them were watching as Spike was getting wheeled off to the ambulance with the Vice Principal running behind. Then Luna saw her sister standing at the ambulance. Luna ran to Celestia. "Tia, I'm going with Spike to the hospital. Please call his parents or Twilight." Said Luna as she got into the back of the ambulance with Spike.
Once Spike was strapped down to the vehicle, and the EMT's were ready, they closed the back doors and sped off to the hospital.
Author's Note
I'm going to be honest, I don't actually know what to do when someone has a broken leg, so please understand. Also.

But on a side note, Spike is going get as high as a kite, and he's going to say some things, and I swear it's all coming to gather.
