Outside of the Canterlot office building

Many firefighter foals have successfully rescued the ponies trapped in the building and paramedics began to send them to Canterlot and ponyville hospital.

A firefighter colt and filly were standing on a sewer cover writing a report about the building. But suddenly, the sewer cover exploded making them fly up in the air and fall on the ground with a thud. And their firefighter suits were on fire.

Many ponies jumped when they heard the explosion. The fire chief turned around and saw two foals trying to put out the fire on their suit.

"Quickly! Turn on the water!" Said the chief as he ran up to a fire carriage and grabbed a hose. He then pulled the handle back and shot water at them.

The fires on their suit was extinguished and their colleges slowly lifted them up.

"Paramedics!" Yelled the fire chief.

Then the paramedics placed the two foals on different carriages and began to send them to Canterlot hospital.

Canterlot building 21st floor office

Thorax, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy were looking at the seven ponies in the room, and the seven ponies were looking at the young firefighters with smiles on their faces.

"We're saved everypony!" Said a mare.

Then all seven of them began cheering and hugging each other. Thorax raised his right gloved hoof and all of them were silenced.

"We're here to rescue you." Thorax told them.

"Hurray!" They cheered again.

Twilight looked at Thorax and said "But getting them out is gonna be a problem."

Thorax nodded at her response. Then somepony began to talk to him in his walkie talkie.

"Thorax! This is Rocky! Do you read me?"

Thorax picked up his walkie talkie and placed it near his muzzle.

"This is Thorax."

"Thorax, have you reached the 21st floor office?" Rocky asked him.

"Yes, and me and a couple of my team have encountered seven ponies. We will bring them down as soon as possible." Thorax replied.

"Well, I have some bad news to tell you."

Thorax's eyes widened and he clicked on his walkie talkie again.

"What's the bad news?"

"You see Thorax, the fire escapes are blocked by the debris. And none of us can get to you all. All of you will have to find another way out of the building."

Thorax sighed and began to send back a reply.

"Understood, over and out." Thorax finished. Then he placed his walkie talkie back into his back pocket.

"The fire escapes are blocked?" Twilight asked him.

"Yes." Thorax replied.

"How are we going to get out of here? We can't just stay here until our colleges rescue us, our oxygen masks only has fourteen minutes left until it runs out." Said Pinkie.

Then a stallion stood up.

"I have a solution fire legend Thorax." Said the stallion.

Then everypony looked at the stallion with confused looks.

"You do?" Thorax asked and the stallion nodded.

"Then lead the way sir."

"Okay." Said the stallion as he exited the office with the rest of the ponies and firefighter foals.

He then lead all of them to a giant elevator which can hold sixteen ponies. He pushed the door up and everypony looked at him with another confused look, but Rainbow Dash chuckled.

"You want us all to go down with this?" Rainbow asked the stallion.

"To be more specific, we're going to have to plunge down with it." The stallion replied to the rainbow filly.

Rainbow Dash laughed incredulously from that reply and she looked at everypony.

The stallion then grabbed a dusted black stick and began to draw on the wall about his plan on how to get out of the building.

"There are safety brakes installed at each ten levels on the building if there was any errors with the elevator. The safety brakes will automatically activate making it stop." Said the stallion.

"But, what if all of them are not working properly right now?" Fluttershy asked.

"Even if they do work, we still have a problem." Said Twilight "What if we get stuck in a level with fire?" Twilight asked nervously.

"So we either fall to our deaths, or we get burn by the fire below." Said Rainbow Dash looking at everypony. Then they began to panic.

Thorax looked at the drawing for a moment, then he had a comment.

"The safety brakes are probably damaged around the 17th and 14th floor." He said as he dragged his right hoof down the drawing "We'll fall through the fire in a high speed and reach the 10th floor. And if the safety brakes works around the 6th and 5th floor, we'll have a chance on getting out of here in one piece, just like what the stallion said." He finished.

Everypony began to clap at his solution.

"That's a great idea Thorax." Said Twilight.

"I still don't know about this." Said Rainbow Dash with a nervous look behind her mask.

"We won't know if we try." Said Thorax as he looked at the elevator's escape hatch in the ceiling.

"Rainbow Dash, follow me up the escape hatch. We'll destroy the elevator's travel cable with some small dynamites we borrowed from the Royal guards." Thorax told her as he jumped into the elevator and climbed up to the escape hatch.

"Okay." Rainbow gulped nervously. Then she followed Thorax up the escape hatch.

Twilight, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie began to lead the seven ponies into the elevator.

Elevator top area

In the top area of the elevator, Thorax and Rainbow Dash were sticking tiny dynamites on the two travel cables on the elevator. And Rainbow Dash had a terrified look, while Thorax had a confident look. Then the 22nd floor exploded on top of them.

*BOOM!*

When the explosion happened, the elevator shook which made Twilight, Pinkie, Fluttershy and the seven ponies fall on the floor. And small rocks fell on top of Thorax and Rainbow Dash. Thorax ignored the debris and continued to focus on sticking the small dynamite on the travel cable, but Rainbow Dash was really scared.

"Will the elevator actually stop on around the 6th and 5th floor?" Rainbow asked with a scared expression behind her oxygen mask.

"It will, just stay calm." Thorax replied calmly.

Inside the elevator

Twilight, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie were trying to maintain the panicking ponies.

"Please calm down everypony, we will be out of the building soon." Said Twilight.

Back to Thorax and Rainbow Dash

Thorax and Rainbow Dash finished sticking the tiny dynamites on the travel cables, and Thorax grabbed two rocks to create sparks, but Rainbow Dash was still a bit scared.

"Thorax, what if all of the safety brakes fail? Will we all fall to our-"

"Knock it off!" Thorax yelled, then Rainbow Dash silenced herself.

Thorax then smashed the rocks together and it created sparks, after three attempts, he managed to light the two dynamites.

"Alright, back in the elevator Rainbow Dash." Said Thorax.

Rainbow nodded and jumped down the hatch and into the elevator first. Thorax jumped in after Rainbow Dash and he closed the hatch, he then began to give everypony instructions.

"Alright everypony! Stick to the sides!"

Everypony did what Thorax said and stuck to the sides on the elevator. Thorax, Twilight, Pinkie, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were gripping on the handles in the elevator, the seven ponies were holding each others hooves.

"Get ready everypony! The dynamites are about explode!" Thorax warned them. Then the dynamites exploded.

*BOOM!*

The travel cables broke from the explosion and it began to fall down at a high speed.

Everypony began to scream when they were plunging down in the elevator. And Twilight held onto Thorax's body while screaming and Thorax pulled her close to him.

The safety systems in the elevator shaft activated and it clamped onto the elevator. Then the elevator stopped on a fire on the 17th floor.

When the elevator stopped, everypony looked around their surroundings and saw fire outside of the elevator. The seven ponies were terrified.

Rainbow stood up and looked at everypony and said "We have to keep going down! Jump! Come on everypony jump!" As she began jumping.

Everypony stood up and began to jump inside the elevator trying to make the elevator fall.

"Keep jumping guys! Don't stop!" Rainbow yelled as everypony began to jump harder in the elevator. Then the safety brake holding the elevator broke and it resumed falling which made everypony fall on the floor again.

They were almost reaching the 10th floor.

"It's working. We're reaching the 10th floor." Said Rainbow Dash.

Then the safety systems on the 10th floor clamped onto the elevator, but it did not stop.

"Why didn't it stop?!" Rainbow yelled.

After falling for five seconds, the elevator came to a stop on the ground floor.

Thorax looked at the elevator indicator panel and saw it say 'G' and he must assume that they have reached the ground floor.

"It worked!" Thorax exclaimed.

Then everypony sighed in relief. Thorax walked up to the elevator's door and pushed it up. He then climbed out of the elevator and turned around and extended his hoof out.

"Come on guys, let's get out of here." Said Thorax.

Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Twilight began to push the seven ponies out of the elevator. After they have done that, Thorax began to pull his team out of the elevator, he started with Fluttershy first, Rainbow Dash next, Pinkie third and Twilight last.

"Come on Twilight, give me your hoof." Said Thorax.

Twilight nodded and grabbed his hoof. But then the elevator moved down a bit which made Twilight scream and fall on the floor.

"Twilight!" Thorax yelled.

Twilight slowly stood up and looked at him again.

"Twilight! Grab my hoof! Quick!"

Twilight nodded and tried to grab his hoof again, but then the elevator slowly moved down again which made her take a step back.

"Twilight! The elevator's not gonna hold for much longer!" Thorax told her.

Twilight then gulped and ran up to Thorax. She jumped and grabbed his hoof and he began to pull her up before the elevator started to fall again.

After three seconds, Thorax managed to pull Twilight up and she fell on his body, and the elevator plunged down to the bottom.

Twilight slowly opened her eyes after that event, she then realized that she was looking at Thorax face to face while she was lying on top of him. Then a heavy blush happened on the faces.

"Hello there." Said Thorax.

"Hello." Twilight replied with a nervous chuckle.

They began to stare at each other and Twilight had sparkling eyes. But then Rainbow snapped them out of it.

"Guys! There's no time for this! We have to get out of here!" Rainbow yelled as she pulled Twilight off of Thorax, and he slowly stood up.

Then they ran to the exit of the building.

Canterlot building exit

Thorax, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and the seven ponies ran out of the building and firefighters began to escort the seven ponies to the paramedics.

Thorax and the rest of the fillies returned to their carriages and sat down on it. Rarity and Applejack gave them water bottles.

"Thank you guys." Said all of them as they began to drink the water.

"That was quite the action you all had in there." Said Rarity.

"You can say that again." Said Thorax with a chuckle.

"All of you missed the fun in there." Rainbow Dash told them.

"You bet we have." Said Applejack.

Pinkie then stood up and looked at all of them.

"Guys, let's just forget about all of this and return to the station. I'm gonna throw a party!" Said Pinkie with a smile on her face.

Thorax stood up and walked to the horses in front of their carriage.

"Yeah, I think we've had enough craziness for today. Let's return to the station. Hiyaah!" Said Thorax hitting the brittle. Then the horses ran back to the fire station.
