The next day

*Beep! Beep!*

When Twilight heard her alarm clock beep, she yawned and sat up straight. She then rubbed her eyes and sighed gratefully.

"Morning. Time to get to work." Twilight said to herself as she got off her bed and pulled the curtains open.

Twilight saw the beautiful sun rising and then she turned around and went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face.

After she has finished that. She walked over to her closet and slid it open. She then wore her firefighter suit, boots, gloves and helmet.

"Alright, time to head to the training area. I wonder what the instructor will tell us to do this time?" Twilight asked herself. Then she shrugged and grabbed her keys, unlock the door and walked out of her room and to the training area.

7:17am

Twilight has arrived at the training area and she saw the instructor, the five fillies and the changeling colt.

The orange and yellow filly glared at her when they saw her. Because they still remembered what she did to them yesterday.

Twilight then gulped nervously when she saw them glaring at her.

"Twilight Sparkle! Stop standing there like a statue! Stand next to Rainbow Dash!" The instructor ordered.

Twilight flinched a bit from the yelling.

"Y-yes, sir." She said as she stood next to Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Dash had to hide a snicker when she saw her, because she remembered the reckless mistake she made yesterday when adjusting the water pressure.

Then the instructor began to tell them their training for today.

"Okay, today's training is for you all to build up some strength and speed." He said as he walked near a building with 10 levels. "All of you will take turns and climb up the stairs while carrying a hose line. Understand?" The instructor asked.

Twilight's eyes went wide opened when she heard that. But she shook her head and stood confidently with her recruits.

"Yes, sir!" They all said.

"Okay. Rainbow Dash, you go first!"

"On it sir!" Rainbow Dash saluted as she walked up to the round and heavy house line and grabbed it on her shoulder. Then she stood near the stairs of the first level of the building.

"This will be easy." Said Rainbow Dash with a confident look.

Then the instructor held a timer in his hoof.

"Okay, start!" The instructor yelled as he clicked the timer.

Then Rainbow Dash ran up the stairs of the building to the 10th floor. After climbing a hundred steps. She made it to the tenth floor.

"Sir! I'm completed!" She yelled.

Then the instructor stopped the time clock and looked at it.

"12 minutes 23 seconds. Not bad Rainbow Dash!"

Then everypony clapped their hooves.

"Thank you sir!"

Then the insctor called in Applejack next, and she got 12 minutes 45 seconds.

"Oh! That was close Applejack!" Rainbow Dash told her friend.

"Yeah. But next time I will be quicker." Said Applejack.

Then Fluttershy was next, and she got 12 minutes 32 seconds.

After Fluttershy, it was Pinkie Pie's turn and she had a time of 13 minutes 12 seconds.

Then after Pinkie Pie, it was Rarity's turn. And she got a time of 13:05 minutes.

Then it was Thorax's turn.

"Alright Thorax your up!"

"Yes sir!" Said Thorax as he grabbed the round and heavy hose line and stood at the stairs of the first level of the building.

"Okay, start!" Said the instructor as he clicked the small button on the timer.

Then Thorax ran up the stairs with an incredible speed which amazed the fillies including Twilight.

Then after a hundred steps Thorax made it to the top.

"Sir! I made it!" Thorax yelled.

Then the instructor stopped the timer and looked at it. And Thorax got a time of 8 minutes and 13 seconds.

"Thorax! You made it to the top at 8 minutes and 13 seconds! Impressive!" Yelled the instructor.

Then the fillies clapped their hooves together and screamed like a fan.

"That is awesome!" Said Rainbow Dash.

"Not bad Thorax!" Said Rarity.

"That was really quick Thorax!" Said Pinkie Pie.

"That is really impressive Thorax!" Said Fluttershy.

"You sure are one strong and fella Thorax!" Said Applejack.

Then Thorax walked back down to the ground and stood next to Rarity, and the instructor turned around again.

"Alright, Twilight. It's your turn!"

Twilight's eyes widened and she looked at the building and round hose line.

"I have to climb all the way up there with the hose line?" Twilight yelled in her mind.

"Twilight! Stop standing around! Pick up the hose line and climb up the building!" The instructor yelled.

Twilight gulped nervously and said "Y-yes sir!" Then she walked over to the round and heavy hose line and picked it up. But she fell the first time.

"She needs to excercise more often." Applejack whispered to Rainbow Dash.

"Yeah. She should. I would recommend her going to the gym." Rainbow Dash whispered back with a chuckle.

And Applejack whispered a chuckle back to her.

Twilight managed to pick up the hose line, and she placed it on her shoulder. Then she walked to the stair of the building.

"This is gonna be harder than I thought." Twilight thought to herself nervously.

"Alright, start!" Yelled the instructor as he clicked on the small button on the timer.

Then Twilight began to run up the stairs of the building, and she tripped on the second floor. She stood back up again and ran up the stairs with the hose line again as fast as she could.

She tripped again on the fifth floor and she bruised her hoof.

She looked at her hoof and saw a small bruise. She closed her eyes and walked up the stairs again. After a while she has made it.

"Sir... I have made it." Said Twilight gasping for breath.

Then the instructor looked at his timer and saw that she got a time of 16 minutes and 45 seconds.

"Twilight, you got a time of 16 minutes and 45 seconds. That is not acceptable. Try exercising next time."

Then Twilight sighed in sadness when she heard her time. The fillies were shaking their heads in disappointment. But the changeling colt didn't showed any signs of disappointment, he thinks that the purple alicorn filly also did a great job.

Then Twilight walked down the stairs and stood next to the changeling colt.

"Alright, we will end it here. Go and grab some food in the canteen." Said the instructor.

"Thank you sir!" Said the foals as they saluted. Then they walked to the canteen.

Twilight was looking at her injured left hoof. She touched it and she immediately felt pain. And two tears rolled down her eyes.

Thorax was walking to the canteen with the fillies. But then he heard the filly gasping in pain. He turned around and saw the purple alicorn filly known as Twilight Sparkle holding her right hoof in pain.

When Thorax saw her with a painful face, he walked up to her.

"Hello there new recruit." Said Thorax.

Twilight was surprised to see the changeling drone standing in front of her.

"Oh... um... hi." Said Twilight. Then she gasped in pain again.

"Here let me see your hoof." Said Thorax. Then he held her hoof softly which made her blush.

"Looks like you have a bruise, Twilight, was it?" He asked.

"Yes, my name is Twilight."

"Nice to meet you Twilight my name is Thorax." He introduced himself. Then he began inspecting her injured hoof. "Okay, I know how to take care of this, just relax."

"O-okay." Said Twilight with a small blush.

Then Thorax's horn began glowing and he casted a spell on her bruised right hoof.

Twilight was amazed at this. Then after 5 seconds, the glowing on her right hoof stopped and Twilight saw that her bruise was gone.

"There you go, that's much better now you cute little filly." Thorax said in a polite tone.

Twilight tried to hide a blush when she heard Thorax calling her cute.

Then Thorax stood up and Twilight noticed that he was almost as tall as her.

"Come on, let's head to the canteen." Said Thorax as he lead Twilight to the canteen, and Twilight blushed a bit after that event.
