First time writing out a story dealing with RGRE.
Preparation for the Surprise
Today was going to be perfect! It was mine and my special ponies anniversary! I was so excited that I couldn’t wait and put on my best pair of socks, my mare will be so happy! Even though I always have to remind her about them.
Though I got those thoughts out of my head as I focused on more pressing matters, what should I do to surprise her? Oh! I should go an work on my mane! Prisma is always wanting me to look my best! I took a few bouncing steps over and into the bathroom to look at myself in the mirror.
Clean white coat? check! combed and braided hair? check! sexy socks? I smiled brightly to myself in the mirror and I swore I saw a crack appear.
‘’Check!’’
I bounced out of the bathroom and came to a stop in the living room, I looked around the clean interior and sighed in contentment. A cleanly house stallion is a great house stallion! Or that’s what Prisma would always say to me.
I took a framed photo of the two of us from when we visited CelestiaLand a few months ago, it was nice to have a few days out for just the two of us! It was nice to see Prisma smile for once!
I set it back down onto the table and went towards the kitchen in preparation for dinner, the kitchen was a nice and clean section of the house. I had many pictures of us together on the fridge!
The fridge was pulled open by my right wing as I took a look inside and smiled as I found the cake batter! I grasped it with a hoof and placed it on the counter beside me as I looked for the eggs.
With the eggs and cake batter found, I went to my cupboards and searched in each one before finding my light blue measuring cup and a grey metal pan. I set the tools onto the counter and went to start before I forgot something! my apron!
I quickly bounced back into the living room and up the stairs to my bedroom, I pushed past the door as I trotted over to the closet and opened it in search of HAH! I pulled out a green apron covered in last weeks baking episode.
I chuckle lightly to myself as I tie it around my barrel and use my wings to hover myself back down the stairs and into the kitchen, ready to bake!

With the beep of the oven, I flew over to my two oven mitts and placed them on both forehooves and took the pan out of the oven and into the freezer. I gently close the freezer door and place both mitts back down onto the counter and trot over to the cupboard above the ove-oh! I almost forgot to turn off the oven!
I flip the dial to ‘off’ and than reach over the oven and open the cupboards to reveal all my candied treats lying there, just waiting for me to use them!
I grab about twelve things in my hoof and hover myself back to the dinner table and let them clatter onto the table. I moved back to the fridge once more, and opened the freezer. I took and tentatively touched the surface of the cake.
‘’Warm.. but not unpleasant.. perfect!’’ I fly up and grab the pan, closing the freezer door I hovered over to the dinner table to where my supplies lay.
‘’I’m going to make the yummiest cake Prisma has ever had!’’ I felt a blush come to my face as I imagined Prisma eating the whole cake.
I lay the pan on the table and gently remove the cake from inside the pan and set it on a plate I had set up before hoof and placed it on there. The cake was cooked to perfection! all it needed now was some decoration and flavor!
The first thing I grabbed was of course the frosting! it was my own special frosting I created when I first gained my cutie mark! I with a ear to ear grin, let the soft sugary frosting make its way on top of the cake and later, the whole cake was covered in a rainbow!
I licked off the smudges of rainbow frosting from my hoof as I set the frosting back down and grabbed the next thing, sprinkles! I shook the container all over the frosted cake and used a spoon to smooth out the frosting, all the while mixing in the sprinkles!
I set the sprinkles down and looked at my other cake toppings before smiling widely.

The finished product consisted of, a rainbow frosted cake with white sprinkles mixed into it, along with the mix of twelve other goodies! I put two hooves to my face as I got an idea, I quickly zoomed up to the bedroom and grabbed my trusty camera! I zoomed back down the stairs and took a few snapshots of the cake.
I gasped as another idea came to my head, I took the last of the tube of frosting and carefully spelled out the words ‘H A P P Y A N N I V E R S A R Y ! P R I S M A’ and I finished it off with ‘2 Y E A R S A N D M O R E T O C O M E !’ .
I hovered a bit into the air and backed up to look at the cake and quickly took a few more snapshots of it. I set the camera onto the table and wiped my muzzle a few times to get out the piece of rainbow frosting stuck to it.
‘’Yummy’’ I giggled to myself as I grabbed my baking supplies and returned them back to their places. I unwrapped the apron and laid it on my two front hooves as I flew up the stairs and laid it on our bed, so I could remember to wash it later today.
I flew back down the stairs and looked at the living room with a smile.
‘’Perfect’’.
I took a seat at the dinner table with a eager grin on my face.
Now.. I wait for my dear Prisma to return from work!
Did I fall asleep? I groggily came to as I raised my head and looked around, I was surprisingly not in front of my front door anymore but I was now tucked into the covers of Prisma and I's bed. I looked to my left expecting to see her but found the covers bare of anypony laying next to me.
A noise brought me out of my stupor as I slowly pushed the covers off of me and plopped myself onto the floor. I stumbled a bit as I walked to the bedroom door that was now slightly cracked open, I took the handle with a hoof and pushed softly as I the creakiness of the wooden door showed itself.
I strained my eyes to look past the darkness of the staircase and down to where a few wisps of light were ever so slightly edged around the corner at the start of the stairs.
I took one step downwards in search of the cause of the light, and as I reached the end of the stairs I found myself bumping into a taller figure. I looked at the pony I bumped into and my worry turned to contentment, ''Prisma? You're home unusually late today''.
I caught a whiff of something all too familiar with Prisma and felt my eyes narrow a bit. ''Why do I smell alcohol on you? You know how I feel about you drinking!'' my voice was laced with worry as I quickly moved towards her and hugged her ''you know what happened last time..''
I heard a hesitant sigh as I heard her using her horn to do something I couldn't see.
She took a few seconds to turn off the lights of the kitchen and turned back to face me, ''i'm really sorry about that.. T-the girls at work persuad-d-ed me into going out drinking with them''. She put a hoof to the back of her head as I moved back a bit with her still in my grasp ''I didn't go overboard like the rest of them alright? I'm just a bit tipsy is all!''
This transformed my worry into annoyance and slight anger ''but Prisma! You knew it was our anniversary today! I wanted to spend the day with you, I even baked a cake.. All for nothing!'' I removed my hooves from around her and stared at her unfocused eyes.
''Are you sure you're even tipsy? You're not even responding to me!'' I lifted a wing in front of her slow moving eyes and asked her to follow my movements.
She just used her hoof to push my wing down and back into my side.
''C'mon Cake.. I'm fine a-and I didn't forget our anniversary! L-look I got you something while I was out!'' she quickly did a 180 turn and rushed over to her saddle bags parked a few feet away from the staircase. I just as quickly followed her as she fumbled a bit and lost her footing and caught her by her black elongated tail.
''S-see!'' I was too busy lifting her heavy form back onto her hooves as she pushed a floating object into my muzzle that I accidentally let her fall onto the ground as I took the floating object out of her aura and examined it closely with a slight ajar mouth.
''OOF!''
I turned and rolled the circular object between my hooves in confusion.
''What exactly is this?''
The mare I questioned shakily got up from the ground with an audible groan and responded with a disgruntled tone. ''It's a interchangeable cake pan..'' she took the pan from my hooves with her magic as she tried balancing herself on her own four hooves.
''L-like I said.. And interchangeable cake pan, I know how you love baking goods and well.. You know. Cake!'' I took the pan back from her and looked up to face her tinted red cheeks and gave her a quick peck on the cheek.
I turned around to examine the pan closer and failed to notice her doing something behind me before I was suddenly filled with the scent of.. Alcohol? I placed the pan in between my feathers as I turned around to find Prisma.. Drinking from a bottle of ''cider''.
''Hard cider?'' I waited a few seconds after asking the question to try and conceal my rising anger. 'not now Frost.. Keep calm' I watched as she held the bottle a few feet away from her lips as she gulped down the original sip and turned to face me ''o-oh? The girls though that si-ince I didn't drink as much as they did.. That I should take.. A bottle.. Ho-'' my outburst interrupted her.
''I though you already knew that I didn't want you drinking? We went over this just a few minutes ago! What in Faust's name do you think you are doing drinking ci-- not even cider... Hard cider! I-... I!
I didn't even finish my sentence as I quickly bounded over to her and swiped the cider from her hooves in such a quick motion that lead her increasingly intoxicated confused and looking at her hoof.
I walked backwards a few feet away from her as I let my anger speak for me. ''You have the audacity to not only come home late on our anniversary! Bring me a cheap fix me up of a present to try and win me over about you drinking... And try to drink behind my back as if my worry for you meant nothing! I've been preparing for this special day for the longest time.. Just for you to up and say ''buck it! I'm going out drinking! Buck my stallion! i'm bucking going to bring him a present I bought from the corner store and bring home alcohol to drink behind his back!''
Prisma was incoherently trying to calm me down as I continued ''you know how easy you get drunk!'' I took the half empty bottle in my hand and threw it with all my force onto the ground, resulting in a wave of glass flying into the air as I flew a bit in the air and fished out the pan I was given by her and threw it at her.
Which expectantly bonked her in the muzzle as I watched her face form from one of confusion, to anger, to shock and now just anger.
We both stared at each other in silence, with only my slightly fastened breathing to fill both of our ears.
Since a few minutes of us just staring at each other went by, I decided with huff, to fly back towards the stairs. Though in my anger I did not notice Prisma with her horn ignited as I was only able to fly halfway up the stairs before I felt my tail being roughly grabbed onto.
I looked back in confusion before trying to flap my wings again in vain, her barely visible magical aura was gripping tightly onto my tail and as I struggled to move, I was painfully pulled back and felt my back collide with the wooden floor.
''Urrk!''
I lay back in pain against the floor for what seemed like hours before I was met with Prisma's hoofsteps making their way closer to me. I gathered my strength and went to lift myself up before I was pushed back onto the floor by an invisible force.
My eyes closed in reflex as I felt her muzzle press against my ears as she spoke and sent shivers down my spine.
''I'm tired of you're shit''.

Faust, how long has it been since I updated this? I'm sure it's been a long time. Anyways, enjoy this chapter and make sure to leave comments, I do enjoy reading them

''I'm tired of your shit''.
That statement was filled with malice, Prisma's face was close enough to my face that I was able to smell her hot intoxicated breath.
''EVERY DAY!.. every fucking day with your nagging! I try to put up with it, I try to ignore it but you just can't keep your mouth shut on whatever I do!'' The sentence ended with her getting muzzle to muzzle with me and her smiling.
''What? nothing to say now? you always got to say something about everything.. why not now?'' her spit flew into my eye as I flinched back.
As I lifted my hoof to wipe it, she got up off of me and towered over me and as I finished wiping my eye I lifted myself up onto my hindlegs, kneeling in front of you.
''B-but I only say these things because I worry about you! do you not expect your coltfriend to worry about you?'' I got up onto four hooves and placed a hoof on the side of her face.
She traced my hoof to up to her face and snarled while slapping my hand away ''cut the bullshit with me, you never want me to do anything I want to do!''
I placed a hoof against my chest and took a step back. ''Now.. you know that is not true! I do let you do things that you want to do! what I don't want you doing is going out drinking with your friends just so you can wake up and complain the next day of a hangover right before you have to go to work!''
''Ugh... i'm done with this conversation, i'm going to bed'' she shrugged her shoulders and bounded over to and up the stairs to our room and as I went to follow she quickly without looking back snapped out ''alone''.
I felt my ears fall back as I tried calling out to her but was quickly silenced with the slamming of the bedroom door open and than closed.
I slowly took a few tentative steps up the stairs before finding my confidence to finally take the last few steps until I was face to face with the door, with a deep intake of breath I softly knocked on the door before cracking it open a bit.
Prisma was sprawled all over the bed fast asleep.
I frowned and opened the door the rest of the way, I gripped onto the blankets with my mouth and carefully place them over prisma.
I let out a little sigh as I watched her snore away, her breath reeking of cider, able to reach my nose as I was standing above her.
"I thought maybe this year would be different... I thought maybe showing you how much I cared for you, would show you that you dont have to be mad all the time."
I felt a tear run along my eyelid and turned to walk out the room, closing the door lightly with my tail.
"Oww..." I rubbed my sore muzzle as the cream I rubbed to soothe the pain started stinging a bit.
I brought myself down from my sitting position and carefully laid my stomach on the cushiony couch l, as to not further provoke pain from my hurting back.
Without realizing it, I had fallen asleep.
I woke up with my back flaring in pain, I groan a bit and slowly inch myself off the couch and onto my hooves.Sleeping on this lumpy couch does wonders for my back, I sarcastically joked to myself.
With a small huff I was able to get back onto my hooves and look around my living room, the decorations I set up for the anniversary were still there. The cake I baked for her, left to go bad on the table from lack of consumption.
I sigh and start walking over to the table, wincing a bit as my back sent jolts of pain through me. My head glanced up to the clock planted on the wall and tilted my head, it was only four in the morning?
I felt my ear flick as I caught a noise, I turn away from the clock and up to the stairway with a small reminder to myself I gasped.
I remembered the events that happend last night and felt my ears plaster against my head, I currently forgot about cleaning up and slowly made my way up the stairs l.
Once I reached the top of the steps, I walked over to the door leading to our room and placed my ear against it. I listened for a bit and heard toilet flush from inside the room, I sighed a bit and pushed the door walking into the room.
Maybe, if I apologized prisma wouldnt be mad at me? Maybe if I promise her complete control next time we have fun? I flinched back a bit as I heard a grunt from in front of me.
I was staring into purple chest fluff, I craned my head up and my ears returned to bring plastered against my head. I met her narrowed eyes as I opened my mouth and let out a few words.
"P-risma? I-id like to say I'm so-" I was interrupted by my body jolting back, I was brought out of my confusion as the pain in my cheek started growing prominent.
I felt my eyes tear up as I looked up at my intimidating marefriend "p-pri-urk!" Her body collided with mine as she pushed me against the wall, she breathed heavily in my face, her eyes still sternly narrowed.
"First of all.. did I say you could come up here?" She said while running a hoof up to my mane.
"N-n-ugh!" My answer was silenced as she pressed me harder against the wall and answered herself.
"No! And did I say you could speak to me?" She said to me with her breath having the remnants of cider laced in it, my tears welled up harder as i struggled on whether or not to speak.
"Well....DID I?" She would yell to me.
I flinched and hit my head against the door, the pain already adding to my current situation I stuttered out a few words. "N-no.." I widened my eyes as I couldn't hold in the sob that came out.
She stopped and stared at me with her piercing gaze, with her hoof that was already tracing up my mane she grinned. I widened my eyes in fear as she suddenly tightly gripped onto it and pushed my head back, her muzzle reaching forward and getting up next to my ear. "Why are you crying over what you deserve? You know what happens when you cry right?".
Her other hoof made it's way onto my chest, while she kept eye contact with me, she scraped her hoof on my chest. My tears started spewing out as she grinned wider, I uselessly tried to stop her.
My eyes widened as muffled knocking was heard from down stairs, I remembered that I had company coming over. Though with prisma acting like this again, I wasn't certain I wouldnt be able to interact with them.
"P-p-pleass.. prism-aa.. d-do-nt" I tearfully sobbed out. She ignored me and continued painfully lowering her hoof until the knocking became annoyingly louder and she suddenly stopped and turned her head back, with a huff her grip on my mane stopped and her hoof tracing down my chest was removed.
"Dont think your safe just because your friends are coming over.." she turned towards me as I slowly slid down onto my haunches and looked up to her sniffling.
"Move..." I shakily moved to the side and looked at her as she opened the door and stopped.
"Dont you dare make it known what happened or I will make tonight's even worse..ok?" I shakily nodded and winced at her laughter.
"And get dressed...make sure you cover up..." she finished before walking out the room and closing the door behind her.
I laid on the floor and felt the tears run down face, I bit back a sob if pain as my back started aching. I internally nodded and simply let myself lay there until I felt like I could move.

Giving it my first attempt to write fluttershy,wish me luck
Company
I was drawn out of my resting pain by a familiar laugh echoing from downstairs, even through closed doors you could hear her voice. I groaned and shakily rose onto my hooves, when I went to take a step I tumbled but was quickly able to catch myself with my wings, with one flap I was back onto my feet.
I painfully made my way to the door connecting the bathroom to the bedroom, with a hoof I opened it and stepped inside. I clopped softly against the quartz tiles and stopped at the sink l, I took a look up at the mirror and winced back at what I saw.
There was me, sporting a black eye that was poking out from behind my elongated mane, its braid since than falling off in the scuffle. I reached up to run a hoof through it before stopping at the purple bruises I could see, those that were old and those that were new.
I quickly shook it off as prismas words rang out through my head, I let out a small sigh and reached for the light blue brush set neatly against the tooth brushes. Since I was at risk of having my black eye being seen, I brushed my mane so that rosy bangs were evenly fitted, I glanced in the mirror to look at my work and felt my lip tremble.
A light slap met my face and I am brought out of it, setting the brush down and letting the sink run.

I exited the restroom a few minutes later, my baby blue coat now fitted with my cream sweater that I received on my birthday.
I let out a final sigh and made my way towards the door, every step I took flooded me with a sense of anxiousness and fear. My hooves trembled as I touched the door knob and let myself quietly out of the room.
With a soft 'click' the door was shut behind me and I lightly trotted through the hallway, I stopped at the top of the steps as a loud prisma was talking to somepony I could barely manage to hear. My heart seemingly stopped as my front hoof met the step to descend, I gulped and mentally gave myself some encouraging words.
'You can so this..' I gave an inhale 'breathe in
"Oh my... did a pylon really almost fall on your friend....?" A small melody of a whispered voice made it's way into my ears.
I reach the bottom step and peek around to see prisma sitting next to a slightly smaller yellow pegasus, her light pink hair gently flowing down to her hoof tips.
My thoughts were interrupted by prisma "buck yeah! The girls and I had to high tail it out of there before the whole building came down!" Both the pegasus and I flinched at the tone prisma used, the day she told me that almost gave me a heart attack, though those were better times..
"O-oh.... it's nice to see that you all came out fine.." she lightly responded with a small grin.
Prisma gave a big grin as she leant back on the cushiony couch and glances at the smaller mare. "So fluttershy? Any specific reason cake invited you over today...?" She asked with a slight edge in her voice, I spoke a bit as I watched fluttershy respond.
Her blue eyes lit up as she reached down and out of my view, bringing up a decently sized envelope covered in stickers. She held it out for prisma as I mulled over what it wa supposed to be.
"Hm, an envelope.. what secrets does ca- woah!" Once I took another glance at the two, I saw that prismas muzzle was not covered in tiny specks of glitter, her eyes narrowed a bit unbeknownst to fluttershy.
"Hah.. i-im sorry-hah.." flutterhsy giggled with a hoof to her mouth as she didnt look at prisma. "I-its just frost agreed to have my friend help throw a nice party for your anniversary.."
Prisma didnt look happy and that when I decided to make my presence known, I turned the corner and spoke. "I-I s everpony ok? I heard a yell.." I asked while trotting over to the two mares.
Blue eyes perked up as the point attached to them got up from the couch and flew the short distance between us, enveloping me in a soft hug. "Frost! It's been so long!" I bit my lip not to shake as I peeked over fluttershys shoulder, two angry eyes stare right back at me.
I slowly patted fluttershy on her back and gave a small little chuckle. "W-we spoke l-last month.." that was when I spoke to her about the anniversary surprise I was planning for prisma, ignoring the eventful one the other night, I did truly hope this would change prismas feelings.
Her chuckle gave chills down my spine as she parted from the hug and looked down at me, she tilted her head as she brought a hoof to my face. "A-a new hairstyle? That's weird..but it suits you!" She said quickly afterward. I internally let out a breath as my eyes met prismas again, she spat out some glitter and brought her hoof to her neck, making a quick slicing motion.
My eyes slightly widened as I shakily chuckled back at fluttershy. "He-hem.. t-than.. thank you fluttershy" her head tilted again and her eyes raised at my expression, though before she could say anything, I quickly took a few steps back. Stuttering out a few words I turned and lightly trotted towards the kitchen.
"I-im just going go-to make some refreshments..." I glanced at prisma and continued "and a cold rag to clean yourself..".
The yellow mare was slightly confused and concerned as she turned to prisma, catching a slight narrow in her eyes before it flickered out and she grinned towards her. "Well fluttershy! While the colt gets us some of the good stuff... I've been meaning to ask" her tone grew surprisingly colder. "So, what did cake have planned..?" She asked while staring at fluttershy.

She looked back at the staring mare with a raised eyebrow.

Author's Note
I'm weird when it comes to writing, like take a look at the last chapters posting date; March? It makes me laugh at how utterly lazy I am.
Fun fact, this chapter sat at 950 words for a whole seven months before I picked it back up.
Afterwards
I quickly cut the tension filled moment as I quickly trotted back into the room, a plate of drinks balanced onto my back. "I-im back!" I abruptly say and watch as prisma leans away from fluttershy and looked towards me, her eyes telling a different story.
"I uh, fluttershy! I hope you're ok with orange juice, it's all we had" I sheepishly say while looking away from prisma's glare and set the tray on the table.
Fluttershy, recovering from the moment responded as I turned and held out a rag to prisma. "O-h! Its fine, you really didnt have to go through the trouble!".
After prisma not so obviously snatched the rag away from me and started wiping the confetti off of her face, I gave fluttershy a strained smile. "No no, you're our guest!" I encouragingly say while pushing the tray closer to her. She looks at me with a small smile before reaching and grabbing onto one of the cups with a hoof, I weakly smiled back at her before glancing at Prisma than backed away from the table.
As fluttershy sat and took a few sips of the proffered orange juice, I awkwardly stood in front of both of them with my head a bit bowed.
I contemplated on what I would do to try and stave prisma from punishing me after fluttershy leaves, I chuckled slightly to myself as I suddenly noticed the shadow that trotted up to me. I flinched back and looked up to see prisma standing with the rag in her hoof, I glanced over to fluttershy who was looking at the both of us with strange look, the same strange look she gave us when she entered our house.
Flinching once I felt the damp rag now slapped over my muzzle, I heard prisma let out a small huff before small hoof steps were heard. I took the rag in a hoof and watched as prisma walked over to fluttershy and made a small motion with a hoof, she most likely spoke subtly because even from across the coffee table I couldn't hear what she said.
Though from prisma taking a glance back at me and fluttershy putting a hoof to her mouth and nodding, I tilted my head a bit before Prisma stepped back and fluttershy leaning forwards and placing her cup back down on the tray. She giggled slightly before getting up from her place on the couch and started towards the front door, I felt my heart race as I turned to a grinning purple unicorn.
"It was nice seeing you fluttershy!" my ears lower at her prisma's loud voice and as I look at fluttershy giving a small sheepish wave before bidding us goodbye, I feel myself start to shake as I hear the slight clip clop of prisma's hooves against the floor. Turning slowly, I watch as her tail disappear behind the corner leading into the kitchen and slowly start making my way towards the stairs, hoping she wouldn't notice.
Reaching the base of the stairs, I unfurled my wings and gave a few light flaps, turning around to check if she was behind me I gave a small sigh before floating my way up the stairs.
"Now.. where do you think you're running off to?" her voice would call out to me.
In retrospect, running from a unicorn that was twice your size and adept at using telekinesis, was inevitably going to lead to me getting hurt either way, though it was how she was going to hurt me that made my fear levels rise indefinitely.
Now, when I tried quickening the speed that I was making my way up the stairs, my prior thoughts were brought into light as I felt a painful tug at my tail before I jerked forwards in the air before finally stopping. I felt the tears start running as the grip on my tail started getting stronger, leading to my whole body getting slammed against the stairs before dragging me down all the way to the living room floor.
''Ugh!''
I groaned in pain as I lay there, her laughter was what flooded my ears as my body started shaking in complete fear, her laughter slowly came to a stop as she placed a hoof against my back and roughly rolled me over so I could face her properly ''Pr-prisM-'' I pitifully tried to object before she silenced me with her hoof.
"What'd I say?" she said while leaning down so that we were basically muzzle to muzzle, her hot breath impacting against my face with every huff she took.
I looked at her and stuttered an answer out.
SMACk I reeled back at the now stinging feeling of her hoof impacting against my face ''idiot! I told you this wasn't over! you really think that since that stupid friend of yours came over that I would really forget about this?!'' my eyes snapped shut as she continued with her verbal assault, the tears forcefully piercing their way through the tight seal my eyes had and started dripping down the sides of my face, even if she was a unicorn, she did work in a field where brute strength was needed. Yet, I could nothing but take the beating head on and try to tune out the loud and dangerous mare letting out all of her frustration through unnecessary violence, though I would never tell that to her face risking another beating after this one.
I persevered and continued to drag my minds focus away from my current situation and to more happy thoughts, a happy place you might say , but in the end its always just my imagination and never really going to come true.
It took a few moments of my focusing my mind on something else rather than the physical world, the noise started drifting away and my thoughts dissipated into nothing. It was at that moment that I registered myself falling into unconsciousness.

The first thing my body felt and my receptors registered, was the feeling of wetness encasing the bottom half of my body. I couldn't bring myself to try and question why due to the sudden jolt of pain sparking from my mid section, I jerked forwards and let out a groan. The light splashing of water was heard and I gave out a raggedy sigh, my eyes opened and my blurry vision let me see the bottom half of my body in water.
What color the water was is what concerned and made me fearful. There was a good amount of blood mixed into the bath water I was sitting in, along with the dissenting soap suds. I blinked my eyes a few times before I was able to clear the sight in my right eye, my left eye refused to open further than just a few inches; lifting up a hoof to my face I recoiled immediately. Assuming from the warm and bruised feeling of my eye, the black eye prisma gave me had worsened.
Speaking of pris- my thoughts were shaken as my head turned to the sound of the bathroom door opening, and the sight of Prisma walking in with a towel made me shake. My breathing subconsciously quickened and I couldn't help but bring my bruised hoofs to my chest, looking up at her before glancing off to the side. I couldn't fathom why I was in the bathtub and why she even bothered to put me in here, was it pity? Or was there a little bit of the old prisma still there?
A Yelp was let out of my mouth as I felt the towel flop down onto my head, making me flinch automatically. The small huff of my marefiend was enough to make me flinch backwards once more, the water rippling from the disturbance. The huff turned into a sigh as the towel atop my head started moving in a slow manner, my eyes closed and I tried to stifle back the pitiful noise I wanted to let out. Her movements seemed to have aggravated an earlier wound to my head, It felt as if i were being sanded down with sand paper.
"..hold still.."
I froze at her monotone command, my gaze still lowered as I tried my best to not let the shaking of my body anger her any more than it already had. The scrubbing of the top of my head continued for a few more painful moments before she stopped, the towel was removed and I glanced upwards. Catching sight of the white towel being stained by a deep red substance, I shuddered at the sight.
"...I'm sorry.."
There was a brief silence as my own words registered in her mind, her movements seemed to stop before she quickly shot back. "Dont be.." before the sound of her horn igniting filled the room.
My eyes flicked upwards once more and caught sight of her lifting up a small case to her eye level, labeled with a red cross she opened it. A roll of what I assumed to be bandages were levitated out followed by a dark bottle, words too blurry for me to read them from where I was.
The two items were each respectively set on the rim of the tub as she closed the case and set it down next to her,I tentatively lifted one of my hooves upwards and feigned a touch at the top of my head. Wincing as the sensitive wound sent a jolt of pain through I set my hoof back into the water, turning my head slightly to take in prisma's form.
It was only now that I realized her hair was tied back into a small bun, leaving the small splotches of red visible to me. Though I wanted to question why there was so much blood, I already knew that it was my own.
"..now calm down.. I'm going to dab this on you-"
I felt the already tense situation get even more tense as I dipped my head back downwards, I could hear her huff once more before.
"Just hold still..."
Her hooves found their way to the top of my head and pressed down on it, my ears pressed against my head as my eyes closed.
As she continued with whatever she was doing, I let a single thought slips it's way into my main thought process.
Why the sudden flip in personality? She still had the edge in her voice, though why is she suddenly doing this?
