Rainbow left the garden with a smile on her face about twenty minutes after Sunset left. To Rainbow, Sunset had proven that she wanted to change. Her smile vanished as her thoughts went to her old friends, Applejack, Rarity and Pinkie Pie who were so sceptical of Cozy Glow. She didn’t like their behaviour at all, Applejack was probably her closest friend after Fluttershy and the fact she could be behaving so badly was painful.

As if fate was conspiring against her she bumped into Applejack. Applejack frowned “Rainbow Dash. We need to talk about something, it’s important.”

Rainbow growled “If this about Cozy, you’re going to be in a world of hurt. When did you become the kind of person to judge someone on their past, Applejack everyone has demons in their closet! The fact Cozy has killed people is in the past doesn’t indicate the person who she is now!”

Applejack growled “It is not that simple Rainbow Dash, Sunset almost killed us. What if being around with such a past send err spiralling backwards, Ah have family that rely on me to get this right. Sunset could have destroyed our world, destroyed our families.”

Rainbow’s eyes narrowed “All the evidence seems to point to the contrary, Sunset is happy and that should be enough. She needs to grow and learn at her own pace, she needs our support Applejack.”

Applejack grimaced “Ah’m worried she won’t be able to truly change if she doesn’t face some hardship for this. She seems to be getting off scot free, aren’t you upset about that.”

Rainbow snapped “So that’s what this is about is it! We all promised Twilight to help her yet here you are holding a grudge instead of doing what you promised Applejack!”

Applejack tensed shaking “Rainbow Dash, don’t go there or there will trouble. Ah will only warn ya just this once.”

Rainbow didn’t even hear the words “Are you going to make yourself a liar?”

Applejack slammed her fist into Rainbow’s stomach “I will tolerate a lot of shit from you Rainbow Dash but no-one calls me a liar!” She then delivered punch after punch at alarming speed, all Rainbow Dash had time to do was put her arms in front of herself as the angry farmer kept swinging.

Rainbow Dash felt her own anger burning within (Applejack, is your pride that important to you! Maybe Twilight was wrong, that we weren't meant to be friends!) It wasn’t long before Rainbow’s arms were hanging limp.

Applejack was about to deliver a punch to Rainbow’s face when Gilda grabbed her hand “Stand down. I’m not like Rainbow, I will bring you down if you keep this up.”
Applejack growled “Not until she takes that back, Ah am not a liar! How dare she accuse me of being one!”

A calm, strong voice spoke “Applejack cease.” Applejack turned around to see the firm stare of Big Mac who simply grabbed her by the arm and pulled her away as she cursed up a storm.

Gilda called an Ambulance, Rainbow grimaced from the pain “Can you get Sunset on the phone?”

Gilda nodded grabbing Rainbow’s phone and making the call, Sunset’s voice came through “Rainbow Dash, did something happen?”

Rainbow sighed “I don’t think we can count on Applejack, she still seems to be holding a grudge against you. We got into a fight, and I‘m confident that my arms are broken. I just left the gardens and…”

Sunset growled “I’ll be there soon.” Ten seconds later Sunset ran out of the gardens with Fluttershy and Wallflower following closely behind, Sunset eyes glowed a bright teal green before Rainbow’s arms glowed a similar colour. Sunset sighed “That took a lot out of me and I am going to get some sleep when I get home.”

Gilda shouted “What was that?”

Sunset sighed “Magic, I teleported here and cast a powerful healing spell. I studied healing magic so I would be able to recover from when I burnt myself with my own fire magic or any other injuries I sustained.”

Fluttershy frowned “You can do magic here?”

Sunset nodded “I can but without the portal active it recharges really slowly. It will take me a year for all of the magic that I just used to return. When the portal is open it only takes a day, as such I only used it when I really needed it.” She then shook her head “Rainbow I can’t let you and Applejack’s friendship fall apart because of me, you only just fixed it.”

Rainbow grimaced “She attacked me Sunset, that doesn’t just go away overnight.”

Sunset sighed “I know Rainbow, this won’t heal overnight but is your friendship something you are willing to destroy over one incident or are you willing to try to mend it.”

Rainbow slumped “I’ll try to sort this out with Applejack, but there is no telling how that will go.”

Sunset frowned “When I was much younger I did try making friends, all foals do but everyone looked at me with contempt. That I had what they didn’t, they were all jealous of my talents. I turned my back on friendship because I believed it was something I could never have, that the powerful can’t have friends only followers. Probably didn’t help that no one other than me aid the guts to yell at Princess Celestia.”

Fluttershy grimaced “That sound horrible, no one would want to be your friend because of what you were capable of.”

Sunset shook her head “This is not about me, this is about Rainbow and Applejack. The point is that you can’t let this get in the way of your friendship, please try and work this out.”

Rainbow nodded “I will.”

Sunset sighed “I would love to stay but intensive magic is exhausting so I’ll see you at school tomorrow.” After Sunset teleported home the ambulance arrived and, Fluttershy, Gilda and Wallflower helping Rainbow into the ambulance. They were all sitting in the back with one of the paramedics as the ambulance headed to the hospital.
