Chapter 4: A Broken Wing

--- at the Ambulance ---

"Beep.. Beep.. Beep.. Beep.." my iphone alarm clocked ringed inside the ambulance.

"ugh.. I really need to get a house.." I said to myself annoyed.

"why not build one yourself Steve?" Dark Wind replied as I froze.

"do you think money grows on trees?! I don't have enough money to get the construction worker to help me" I said to Dark Wind.

"*cough* magic" Dark Wind said to me

"oh.. right.. I can use magic.." I said to Dark Wind feeling embarrassed.

--- Ponyville Town hall ---

I went to the Town hall to see the mayor whether she had a land available for me to purchase.

"mayor I'd like to buy some of the land here in Ponyville to build a house" I said to the mayor.

"well uh let me see now" she said as she opened her file cabinet.

"ah yes there is a piece of land at an empty field near the farm that cost about 2000 bits and that includes the construction permits" the mayor said to me as she showed me the document.

"sure i'll take it but can I pay you monthly cause I don't have that much of money yet" I said frowning.

"well it's alright you can pay me 200 bits monthly" the mayor said as I paid her the first 200 bits.

"so can you show me on the map which land is it" I asked and the mayor pointed East from Ponyville.

I went back to the ambulance and started the engine.

"its alive! its alive! muahahaha..." I said to myself.

"who are you? doctor Frankenstein?" Dark Wind said to me as he laughs at me.

I drive the Ambulance to the piece of land I bought.

--- New home ---

"the ambulance would be a great for a storage room" I said to myself.

"gonna chop some wood, get some concrete over built over there oh and some tools" I said to myself as I spent the whole day building a house.

I started to build the house early in the morning, it was pretty quiet since I'm a bit further away from Ponyville.

"holy crap I finished the whole 1st floor on the 1st day, God I love having magic" I said to myself as I continue on building the second floor.

I spent the next  day building the second floor and the 3rd day putting some window with grills, full steel doors with 2 locks, safety glass for the windows, 2 meter thick wall a perimeter wall surrounding the house with barb wire, steel gate at the front, 2 meter deep underground bunker, and a garage that I use for storage room.

"damn I'll say fort sweet fort" I said to myself.

"damn Steve are you sure you're not planning to take over Equestria" Dark Wind asked as he laughed while I begin to furnish the place.

"that would surely be great but no.." I replied to Dark Wind.

As soon as I finished cleaning the house I went back to check on the patients but they seem to be fine as usual so I went to miss Cheerilee and got the paper work done for Scootaloo's adoption.

I went to look for Scootaloo who is now officially my daughter, I asked around whether they know where she's at.

"she's usually at Rainbow Dash house" said a little filly.

I thanked the little filly and galloped to Rainbow Dash house.

--- Rainbow Dash Cloud Mansion ---

As I approached Rainbow Dash's house I could see the little filly watching Rainbow dash new flying tricks that she's going to use on the Wonderbolt audition.

As I walked closer Scootaloo noticed my presence and galloped to me.

Rainbow Dash stopped and went down to see me.

"hi Rainbow.. hi Scoot.." I said as soon as they got closer.

"hi dad.. I mean hi doctor Bright Wind" Scootaloo said to me nervously.

"you know she really likes you" Rainbow Dash whispered to me.

"she kept calling you her dad, she's cute huh.." Rainbow Dash whispered to me smiling.

"I need to have a grown up talk with the filly, this need to stop now" I said to Rainbow Dash.

"what! but she's just a filly she doesn't understand what she said please don't! you'll break her heart!" Rainbow Dash said panicking.

"I'm sorry Rainbow but this ends now" I said as I tried to hide my smile.

"wait!" Rainbow Dash shouted "Scootaloo!" I said in a authority like voice.

"yes.. doctor Bright Wind..." Scootaloo said nervously.

"we are no longer a friend" I said to scootaloo trying my best to act as good as I could.

"Bright Wind!" Rainbow Dash yelled at me angrily.

"you are now officially my daughter" I said as I hugged her.

Rainbow Dash was speechless and confused at the same time.

"you're my daddy now?" Scootaloo asked smiling.

"yes.. and now you're my daughter.." I said smiling back at him.

"now let me show you your new house and room, oh and Rainbow would you like to come over and see Scootaloo's new room" I said to both of them.

"you adopted her?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"yes of course what did you think I'd do? fillynapped her?" I said as I laughed and so did Rainbow.

--- New Home ---

Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo was impressed with the house that I built so I showed them around the place.

After giving the grand tour I let Scootaloo get herself used to her new room.

"doctor Bright Wind, you sir are full of surprises" Rainbow Dash said to me while I just laughed at it.

"how's the new stunt miss Rainbow Dash?" I asked her while laughing.

"ohh it's doing great it'll be 20% more awesome than last time" she said with enthusiasm.

After having some chat with Rainbow Dash she went back to do her practice for the Wonderbolt audition so I went to said good night to Scootaloo and went back to my room and sleep.

--- The next morning (Home) ---

On the next day life is never the same again.

"dad.. dad.. wake up, lets go dad" Scootaloo said as she wakes me up.

"alright.. alright.. lets get you to school now" I said as I smiled and yawned.

"lets make breakfast dad" Scootaloo said excitedly.

"alright lets make breakfast nothing fancy okay" I said as I laughed.

We made sandwiches as breakfast and ate it together.

"so dad when are we going to have a mom" Scootaloo said to me as she gave me the look.

"well Scoot.. as soon as I've found the right mare" I said as I drink my coffee.

"God this is a good cup of Joe..." I thought to my self as I enjoyed my coffee.

"then when are you going to make Rainbow Dash a mom" Scootaloo asked innocently as I choked on my coffee.

"Scoot.. *wipe the spilled coffee shirt* daddy and miss Rainbow Dash doesn't have that kind feeling beside she probably would go for some awesome stallions" I said to Scootaloo.

"but dad she does like you.." Scootaloo said to me.

"yes as a friend now lets get you to school" I said with a smile.

After flying Scootaloo to school I went back to the hospital and checked on the patients when all of the sudden a pony was rushed into the ICU room.

"what's going on what happen" I asked Big Mac.

"Apple Jack broke his bone when she bucked the apple tree too hard" Big Mac said to me with a worried look on his face.

"we have to amputate her leg" Said an apprentice with a bone saw.

"oh hay no" Apple Jack screamed.

"you're loosing to much blood ma'am we have to.." said the apprentice with the bone saw as I interrupted.

"woah.. woah.. woah.. are you crazy! Amputation? seriously? okay never mind I'll operate her leg, put the bone saw down and observe" I said as I instructed the apprentice.

--- Operation room ---

As the operation begins I was sweating like hell what felt like a week was actually 3 hour, the bone fracture wasn't to serious and I'm pretty sure she'll be able to begin buck apple trees again in just a couple of month.

"now that's how you do it kids" I said as I looked at all the apprentices and took Apple Jack to her room at the hospital.

"Thanks Bright Wind you saved me" Apple Jack said to me.

"It's no biggie.." I said to Apple Jack as I placed her on the bed.

"Doctor Bright Wind, me and my family would like to thank you for saving Apple Jack so if there's anything you want you could just tell us" Big Mac said to me.

"actually there is something I'd like to ask" I said to Big Mac who looked nervous.

"please make sure Apple Jack here to not buck the apple tree to hard again" I said to Big Mac smiling.

"will do doc" Big Mac replied.

"wait hold up.. Doc Black Wind how about some bits? you did saved ma leg, without it I might not be able to apple buck again or walk" Apple Jack said as she offered me bits.

"Apple Jack.. seeing you healthy is enough for me, you're more valuable than all the bits in Equestria" I said as I smiled and Apple Jack was whispering something to Big Mac about something me being perfect for whoknowswhat.

"oh god what are they planning.." I thought to myself as I feel nervous.

"Doctor Black Wind would you like to come to dinner with the apple family today to discuss something important with you" Big Mac asked.

"I guess so.. it must be really important, ohh.. and I'll be going now I need to check on the other patients" I said as I left the room quickly to checked on the other patients.

--- A couple of hour later at the Sugar Cube corner ---

I went to see Pinkie Pie and asked her to make a surprise party at home for Scootaloo tomorrow and then I went back home to take Scootaloo to dinner with the apple family.

As we arrived we knocked on the door and a little filly opened the door.

"Hi Scoot oh and hello doctor Bright Wind, come in" Apple Bloom said to us as she let us in.

We both sat down at the dining table, all of the family member was there (except Apple Jack who is still at the hospital).

"Doctor Bright Wind, we'd like to discuss about Apple Jack feelings" Big Mac said to me with a serious look on his face.

"well I can't blame that, I totally understand that" I said to Big Mac.

"well I'm glad that you understand, I mean I have no idea how to tell you that Apple Jack liked..." Big Mac said as I interrupted.

"well I mean most patients have that dizzy feelings after they had an operation and that's actually pretty normal.." I said as Big Mac interrupted.

"no.. no.. it's not about that doctor Bright Wind" Big Mac said panicking.

"it's not? well I really need to get home with this sweet little lady here to spend our time together" I said as I smiled.

"Sweet little lady" Big Mac asked with his face expression changed.

"Eeyup.. she's the love of my life" I said as I looked at Scootaloo who is smiling at me.

"ohh so you're a bucking pedophile is that so! why I'm gonna buck you to hell you sick.." Big Mac said angrily raising his hoof and punched me on the face.

I fell off the chair after receiving the sudden punch from big Mac.

"How dare you call me a pedophile and punched me in front of my daughter" I shouted as I put Scootaloo behind me to shield her.

"daughter? ohh.. umm.. listen doctor Bright Wind.. I think there may have been..." Big Mac said looking embarrassed as I interrupted.

"No you listen to me you Big Fag if you have anything you else you want to say from that dirty sick mind in that brain of yours don't you dare say it in front my daughter" I said as I left the apple family house with Scootaloo.

"dad are you okay" Scootaloo said looking worried "I'm okay kiddo.. lets go home.." I said as we went back.

--- Home ---

On the next morning life went on as usual well except I had a black eye.

"dad wake up you promised me to give me a surprise today" Scootaloo said as she wakes me up.

"If I tell you now it won't be a surprise then" I said as I get up.

Scootaloo went to school, I went to my office at the hospital.

"Doctor Bright Wind you look like you just got bucked in the face" Doctor Red Cross said to me as he pointed at my black eye.

"I don't want to talk about it Red" I said as I stared down at the floor.

"tell me what happen" Red Cross said to me looking worried.

"I said I don't want to talk about it Red!!" I shouted as I realized my mistake.

"sorry Red.. I'm just having a really bad day.." I said with frown.

"it's okay I understand, you could at least let me clean that wound" Red Cross said as he clean the wound.

"thanks red" I said with a small smile.

I went door to door to check on the patients, Apple Jack was blushing as she kept staring at me.

"so Bright Wind how's dinner?" Apple Jack asked while blushing.

"Well I didn't know it's a tradition to punch and swear at the guest" I said angrily.

"what happen.. did Big Mac hit you?" Apple Jack asked looking worried.

"yeah he sure did, he thought I was a pedophile and punched me on the face" I said angrily and left while Apple Jack was in disbelief.

--- Sugar Cube Corner ---

I asked Pinkie Pie to send the invitation to all of the pony at Ponyville to come over to my house and celebrate my new family member Scootaloo.

So I went decorating the whole house and prepared a big feast for the whole town and soon enough pony started to come to my house and congratulate me.

Twilight came with a small frown and asked me.

"so who's the lucky mare?" she asked.

"none yet Twilight, actually I adopted Scootaloo" I said to him and she suddenly smiled.

"so you're single?" Twilight asked me.

"uhh yes Twilight.. I am still single.." I said feeling confused as she went into the house smiling.

"that mare is creeping me out, I think she's gonna recommend me a mare to date me" I said to Dark Wind in my thought.

"seriously Steve can't you understand what that mare is trying to say" Dark Wind asked me inside my thought.

"uhh.. not really.. but she is creeping me out dude" I said to Dark Wind inside my thought as I walked into the living room.

"ok everypony listen up my daughter will be here soon so everpony get into their designated ambushing position and be ready to surprise her" I said to everypony as I looked out on the window and closes the curtain.

as soon as Scootaloo opened the door we all jumped out and yelled "Surprise"

Scootaloo had a big smile on his face.

"A party for me?" she said with excitement on her face.

"yes just for you kiddo" I said smiling.

"thanks dad" Scootaloo said as to me as she hugged me and everyone went D'awww.

Just when it was a happy moment Big Mac showed up with Apple Jack who is sitting on a wheel chair.

"Scootaloo go into your room now" I said to Scootaloo panicking.

"dad is everything going okay?" Scootaloo asked me with worried look and tears in her eyes.

"Scootaloo.. what ever happen I love you and don't you ever forget that, now go into your room and lock the door" I said to Scootaloo as I let go of her hug while all the pony at the party was muttering.

"what's going on?" asked a random pony.

"Big Mac get out of my house!" I shouted at Big Mac.

"look I'm sorry I bucked you on the face yesterday.." Big Mac said apologetically as the crowd gasped.

"Big Mac punched the doc on the face?" whispered a random pony to each other.

"Big Mac for the last time get out of my house and we'll finish this like a stallion outside" I yelled at Big Mac as we went outside while the crowd was staring from inside the house.

"go ahead do your worse" I said as I prepared to fight.

"Look doc I don't want to hit you" Big Mac said as I only get angrier.

"What do you want from me Big Mac my bits? here take them!!" I said as I throw bits on to his face.

"Now can you please leave me and my daughter alone!" I said angrily.

"look buddy you need to listen to me" Big Mac shouted angrily and pushed me to the ground.

"Big Mac stop it" Apple Jack shouted as I went to attack Big Mac and slammed Big Mac down on the ground.

"not so tough now huh when you're down on the ground huh?" I said angrily to Big Mac as he tried to get me off.

"why you little.." Big Mac said with anger as he pushes me away and hitted me again.

"that all you got Big Fag? my Grandma can throw punches better than you!" I shouted to Big Mac as I throw a kick to his face which only pisses him off even more.

"I'm going to bucking kill you!" Big Mac shouted as he picked up a knife from my tool box and stabbed me multiple time on the Bullet proof vest.

"Big Mac what are you doing! somepony stop him!" shouted an onlooker pony as Rainbow Dash pushed Big Mac away from me.

"stop it!!" Rainbow Dash shouted at Big Mac but Big Mac was still enraged that he didn't realized that it was Rainbow Dash and Stabbed her until he realized it wasn't me who pushed him.

"Get away from her!!" I shouted as I grabbed my tool box and hit his head with it, knocking Big Mac unconscious.

I ran towards Rainbow Dash who is bleeding.

"look at me Rainbow Dash.. you're going to be okay.." I said to Rainbow Dash as I hold her hoof.

"Steve.. I think this is what dying feels like.." Rainbow Dash said to me weakly.

"oh no you don't! not on my watch!" I shouted as I carried her into the house and cleared the dining table and place her on the dining table.

"somepony get me my medical equipment in that box" I shouted as I pointed towards the box of medical supply.

"here you go doctor Bright Wind, is she gonna be alright?" asked the party guess who gave me my medical Equipment.

"I hope so" I said to the pony as I examined Rainbow Dash wound.

"thank god the knife didn't went deep into her but she's bleeding real badly" I said to the pony around me as I gave Rainbow Dash a first aid treatment to stop the bleeding.

"Dashie look at me.. you're going to be just fine.." I said nervously as I carried her on my back all the way to the hospital.

--- Ponyville Hospital ---

"Steve... are you ok.." Rainbow Dash asked weakly.

"I'm fine.. but you're not.." I said nervously as I rushed her to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Room.

"Doctor Bright Wind what happen?" Red Cross asked me as he follows me to the ICU room.

"she got stabbed by Big Mac with a knife" I said in a hurry.

"oh my goodness is she okay?" Red Cross asked.

"The knife got her wing muscle.." I said with frown.

"oh no.. she lost her wing.." Red Cross said in shock.

"no we haven't know that yet" I said to Red Cross as I closed the wound and placed life support around her.

"ohh.. God please don't take her away.. she's still young.. and she haven't completed her life dream yet" I prayed to God beside Rainbow Dash.

I fell asleep beside Rainbow Dash when all of the sudden somepony stroked my mane.

as I looked up it was Rainbow Dash stroking my mane with a smile on her face.

"Oh thank God you're alright" I said to Rainbow Dash as I hugged her tightly.

"you know this begins to feel like Deja Vu" I said as I laughed while hugging Rainbow Dash.

"Bright Wind are you okay? I saw Big Mac stabbing you multiple times" Rainbow Dash asked as he checked my back.

"Dashie I'm fine.. I was still wearing my Kevlar vest when he stabbed me, so it didn't hurt me" I said with a smile.

"where's Big Mac though?" Rainbow Dash asked with worried look.

"I don't know.. the last time I saw him was when I knocked him out unconscious with a tool box.." I said feeling guilty.

"hey.. you did the right thing.. you were doing self defense" Rainbow Dash said with a smile and hugged me as a sudden commotion happened outside at the hospital hallway.

"please you gotta help ma brother.. I don't think he's gonna make it.." Apple Jack begged to the hospital security.

"no we don't want any psychopath pony in our hospital.. so get out!" shouted the security guard as I came to see what is the commotion all about.

"doctor Bright Wind.. please I'm sorry about my brother behaviour.. but please he was having a bad temper and I'm sure he didn't mean to do that" Apple Jack explained to me as she begged.

"let them in.." I said to the security guard as they look at me with doubt.

"are you sure doctor Bright Wind? he did tried to kill you and miss Rainbow Dash.." asked the security guard

"it's okay I have forgiven him and I won't press charges on him" I said with no expression.

The security let them in while I signaled the nurse to take Big Mac to the ICU room.

"thank you doctor Bright Wind.." Apple Jack said to me.

"tell your big brother that I'm sorry I didn't listened to him.. I tend to have bad temper too.." I said with a small smile.

"Bright Wind, you gotta see this.." Red Cross said to me as he gives me Rainbow Dash X-ray result.

"oh God.. not her wings.." I said with a frown.

"should we tell her?" Red Cross asked me.

"I'll go and tell her about the wing.. just.. get a tranquilizer in case if things get nasty.." I said to Red Cross nervously as he simply nods and did what I told him to.

I went into Rainbow Dash room and walked slowly.

"so Bright Wind what's all the commotion about?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"the security won't let Big Mac go into the hospital, so I told them to let him in" I said with a small frown.

"is everything okay?" Rainbow Dash asked me.

"I'm sorry Rainbow Dash.. I don't know how to tell you this but.. you lost your left wing.." I said with a frown.

"What?! does this mean I can't fly again?!" Rainbow Dash asked in panic as I simply nods.

"I.. I lost my wing..." Rainbow Dash said as tears started to fall from her eyes.

"Rainbow Dash.. I'll do my best to fix your wing I promise.. I won't let them amputate your wings.." I said as I comfort her and hugged her as she cried on my shoulder.

--- Few days later (Ponyville Hospital) ---

I spent day and night to find the best solution to fix Rainbow Dash wing, it's been a few days and Rainbow Dash was getting very depressed.

"Rainbow how are you doing today?" I asked her as she simply stares at the wall without making any sound at all.

"Rainbow Dash.." I said feeling worried and she simply stood up and stood on the window as I realized.

"oh no you don't!" I shouted as she jumped out of the window.

I quickly fly and caught her and prevented his suicide attempt.

"Rainbow Dash that was very stupid of you!" I shouted angrily as she began to cry.

"I'm useless.. I spent most of my life flying and now I can't even fly.. what's a Pegasus without its wing?" Rainbow dash said as she cries.

"look Rainbow Dash I promised you I'll fix your wing.. if I can't fix your wing you can have mine.." I said to Rainbow Dash as I hugged her.

"you'd give me your own wing if you can't fix mine?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"yeah.. you can have my wing.. I don't really need them anyway.. beside you don't need wings to be a doctor" I said with a small smile as she hugged me back.

--- Home ---

After that suicide attempt incident I decided to take her for a dinner with me and Scoot at our house.

"Scootaloo have been asking me about you most of the time she's really worried about you" I said to Rainbow Dash as I opened my front door to let Rainbow Dash in.

"Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash!" Scootaloo shouted as she jumped to hug Rainbow Dash.

"hi Scoot!" Rainbow Dash said with a smile.

"okay you two have fun I'll be in the kitchen making dinner" I said with a smile as I went to the kitchen.

"hey are you saying that we can't have fun in the kitchen?" Rainbow Dash asked with a smile.

"yeah dad, why don't we all just cook dinner together?" Scootaloo asked.

"I don't see why we shouldn't so feel free to help me cook" I said with a smile as we went into the kitchen and cooked a bunch of stuff while making one hell of a mess in process.

"oh God I didn't know it'll be this bad" I said to myself in my thought as I look at the mess they made.

"yay! dinners ready!" Scootaloo shouted as she opens the oven.

"well at least they're having fun" I thought to myself.

"alright go ahead and take a seat on the dining room while I'll take these delicious looking meals there" I said with a smile as I carried the food to the dining table.

We began to eat I noticed that Rainbow Dash makes nom nom sounds when she eats and Scootaloo seems to do what Rainbow Dash does.

"this is delicious we should do this more often" I said smiling.

"I would love to but I gotta practice for the wonderb.." Rainbow Dash said as she remembered that her left wing doesn't work anymore and she became quiet as she stares at her food.

"hey I promise I'll fix your wing no matter what it takes, would you like to stay here in my house with Scootaloo for now? I mean your house is up there right? or do you want to stay in the hospital?" I asked Rainbow Dash as polite as I could.

"yeah Rainbow Dash we can have a sleep over at my room!" Scootaloo said as she jumps to hug Rainbow Dash which made her smile.

"Sure I'd love to" Rainbow Dash said as she hugged back Scootaloo.

--- The next Morning (Home) ---

"Dad! dad! wake up!" Scootaloo shouted as she jumps around on my bed "morning Scoot" I said to Scootaloo as I yawned and stretched.

I went down stair with Scootaloo as I noticed that Rainbow Dash was still in the bathroom.

"how's Rainbow Dash doing? did she sleep well last night Scoot?" I asked Scootaloo as I made a cup of coffee in the kitchen.

"yeah, she even snored to" Scootaloo said as she giggled.

"really? was it loud?" I asked as I give a small laugh.

"hey is somepony gossiping something about me here?" Rainbow Dash asked With a small laugh as she walks into the kitchen.

"morning Rainbow Dash" I said to Rainbow Dash.

"morning hone.. I mean uhh... morning Bright Wind" Rainbow Dash said nervously.

"so when are you going to marry my Dad Rainbow Dash?" Scootaloo asked innocently as I choked on my coffee (again lol) while Rainbow Dash was blushing furiously

"Scootaloo that's not polite of you to ask that" I said with a small frown.

"sorry about that Rainbow Dash you know how kids could be" I said nervously.

"ask him..." Scootaloo whispered loudly to Rainbow Dash that I could hear it *I face hoofed*

"alright off you go to school now Scootaloo" I said to Scootaloo a bit annoyed as Rainbow Dash just stood there blushing.

"bye dad! bye mom.. I mean bye Rainbow Dash!" Scootaloo shouted from outside as I face hoofed again.

"kids.." I said with a nervous smile.

"she's cute" Rainbow Dash commented.

"yes she is pretty adorable but sometime she can be really annoying.. in a good way of course" I said with a small smile.

"so are you ready to go now?" I asked her.

"you wanna go out with me?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"of course I do" I said a bit annoyed.

"right now?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"well of course Dashie, I don't have all day" I said feeling annoyed as Rainbow Dash blushed.

"so where are we going to now? oh! I know a good spot in Ponyville on a hill, it got a nice view of Ponyville and it's beautiful at night there's stars in the sky" Rainbow Dash said excitedly.

"that sounds lovely Rainbow Dash, but what I meant is we're going to the hospital to examine your broken wing" I said as I felt very annoyed.

"oh.." Rainbow Dash said with disappointment.

"but that sure does sound like a nice place, we could go there later this night with Scootaloo, we'll have picnic there" I said with a small smile as Rainbow Dash smiled as we get our self ready to go the hospital.

--- Ponyville Hospital ---

"thank God its not that bad, I can do a surgery on your wing and It probably won't take more than 3-4 hour" I said to Rainbow Dash as I finished reading the result of her wing.

"so you mean I'll be able to fly again?" Rainbow Dash asked smiling.

"yeah you'll be able to fly again soon, I'll do the operation tomorrow" I said smiling.

"thanks Bright Wind you're the best.." Rainbow Dash said as she hugged me.

"so do you want to get lunch now? not here at the hospital of course.. I know how much you hate hospital food.." I said with a smile.

"alright lets go to Sugar Cube corner" Rainbow Dash said enthusiastically as she pushed me out of the hospital.

"I can walk just fine Rainbow Dash" I said with a small chuckle.

"I'm sorry I'm just so excited to be able to fly again soon" Rainbow Dash said embarrassedly as she let me walk on my own again.

We continued to walk until we reached our destination and as we got closer we could smell the delicious baked product they had for sale.

"wow that smells pretty good" I said to Rainbow Dash as we went inside.

"ohmygoshohmygosh! It's the Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness! They have it for sale today!" Rainbow Dash said as she stared at a cake in the display.

"I'll take that one please" I said to Pinkie Pie "sure that'll be 190 bits" Pinkie Pie said to me as she gave me the cake.

"here you go Pinkie" I said to Pinkie Pie as I do the transaction with her.

"you bought a cake for lunch?" Rainbow Dash asked in amazement.

"no it's for you" I said with a smile "of course if you don't mind sharing it with me.. or maybe I could just eat..." I said to Rainbow Dash as she interrupted me.

"of course I don't mind, now lets eat! I'm starving!" Rainbow Dash said as she hugged me.

"wow I guess pony loves hugging" I said to myself in my thought.

"lol steve you're not good at understanding female" Dark Wind said to me in my mind.

"what do you mean by that?" I asked inside my mind annoyed.

"you'll figure it out sooner or later" Dark Wind said inside my mind as I look at Rainbow Dash eating.

"I'm glad she had her appetite back, knowing that her wing is going to get fixed which reminds me.. Scootaloo's wing operation is kinda risky.. should I really operate Scootaloo.." I said to myself inside my mind as I stared at my food.

"are you going to eat that?" Rainbow Dash asked me.

"oh right.. I forgot.." I said feeling embarrassed.

"Bright Wind is something bothering you?" Rainbow Dash asked me.

"no I'm fine Rainbow Dash" I said to Rainbow Dash with a small frown as I chew the cake slowly.

"you don't look fine.. you could just tell me what's wrong, I promise I won't tell anypony else" Rainbow Dash said looking worried as I sighed.

"it's just that.. Scootaloo is going to have her wing operated soon but it's just that.. I don't want to loose her..." I said feeling depressed.

"you're gonna operate her wing?! but she's just a little filly? are you out of your pony mind?" Rainbow Dash asked a bit angry.

"if I don't do it while she's still at this age she won't have her wing growing normally, beside if I operated her at our age her wing won't even grow at all" I said feeling even more depressed.

"I.. I see.." Rainbow Dash said as she understood what I'm trying to tell her.

"sorry I ruined lunch" I said depressed as she jumped to me and hugged me.

"you're a good a father Bright Wind and don't you ever forget that" Rainbow Dash said to me.

--- Later that night ---

Night time finally came and me, Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash went out for a picnic at the outskirt of Ponyville in a good spot that Rainbow Dash told me.

"wow that's a lot of stars" Scootaloo said to both of us.

"Eeyup that sure is a lot of them.." I said with a smile.

"told ya it's a great place" Rainbow Dash said with a smile as she set up the picnic.

"ohh.. you brought an apple pie!" Scootaloo shouted with joy.

"dig in Scoot" Rainbow Dash said with a small giggle as Scootaloo eats the apple pie while I took a picture of them with my iPhone.

"what are you doing Bright Wind?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"just taking pictures" I said as I showed them.

"cool!" Scootaloo shouted in amazement.

"here I'll teach you guys how to use it" I said to both of them as I teach them how to use it.

"you see here? that's me and my buddy Ivan.. we worked in the same hospital" I said as a tear rolled down from my eye

"what's wrong dad?" Scootaloo asked me.

"I'm fine Scoot It's just that daddy missed him so much.. he's daddy's best friend forever" I said as I began to cry.

"you should go and see him again then Bright Wind" Rainbow Dash suggested.

"I.. I can't.. I were never even meant to be here.." I said with as I cried.

"what do you mean by you're not even suppose to be here?" Rainbow Dash asked me.

"you see.. my country got into a political problem.. we had a fight with another country a bigger country.. and the bigger country was really mad at my country that they decided to.. well nuke us.. many good people died during that incident, I was there when it happen.. my buddy Ivan was still at the hospital moving patients into the underground shelter under the hospital while I was out delivering medical supply.. when the nuke hitted my country I got into a portal anomaly that sent me here falling from the sky in my ambulance and.. you know the rest.. " I said frowning.

"it was a day till his birthday.." I said as I began to cry again.

"sorry I asked" Rainbow Dash said knowing what I feel.

"it's okay Dashie.. I don't mind" I said as I hugged Scootaloo.

"Lets go home Dad" Scootaloo said to me.

"ok lets go h..." I said as the sound of timber wolf howl interrupted me.

"oh no it's the timber wolfs!" Scootaloo shouted.

"the timber what?!" I shouted in confusion as a group of timberwolfs jumped out from the bushes.

"oh.." the first reaction I had on the Timberwolf.

"damn right oh.. Steve" Dark Wind said to me.

As I looked around surrounded by Timberwolfs.

"Rainbow Dash take Scootaloo to safety.. I'll deal with these guy" I said as I distracted the Timberwolf.

"Run!" I shouted as Rainbow Dash simply nods and carried Scootaloo to safety.

"come to daddy you mutt.." I said to the Timberwolfs as I grabbed my dad's combat knife from my vest and moved into a defensive position.

The Timber wolfs jumped to my direction.

"die!" I shouted as I slit the throat of one of the Timber wolf.

"arrgh.. shit! Why you little.." I said in pain as a Timberwolf bite my right wing.

"Die!" I shouted as I cut 2 more Timberwolfs while 2 more bit me.

"bloody bastards!" I shouted in pain as I hit one of the wolf that is biting my vest with the edge of the combat knife.

I came up with a plan by using the alcohol spray and the lighter to set them on fire.

I sprayed them a few couple of time while dodging them then set them on fire using the lighter.

"burn you son of a bitch! Burn!" I shouted in both anger and pain as I burned the rest of the wolves.

"well.. that was one hell of a chopping action.." I said to myself.

"Steve.. the Epic pony lumber Jack.. is now available in Equestria.." Dark Wind said to me trying to annoy me.

"very funny Dark Wind.. so funny that I forgot to laugh.." I said feeling annoyed.

"oh come on Steve you know I was joking.." Dark Wind said to me as my body ache in pain.

"God.. I can't move.." I said to myself as I examine my wound on my left hoof while looking for my first aid kit.

"oh god.. of all the things that I could have forgot to bring.. why does it have to be the god damn first aid kit?!" I shouted in anger while limping my way to Ponyville.

"oh God.. that freakin hurt.." I said to myself as I heard a pony walking by.

"help! somepony help me! I got attacked by Timber wolves!" I shouted as my vision started to blur.

"oh my.. are you ok Doctor Bright Wind? Doc..r Bri..t w...d?" the passerby pony said to me as I blacked out.

--- unknown room ---

I woke up inside a bedroom of some country pony house.

as I began to look around I saw Apple Jack sleeping right next to me and I can see that my wounds have been bandaged by somepony.

"Apple Jack?" I said trying to wake her up.

"ohh.. hi.." Apple Jack said as she yawned.

"mornin sleepin beauty.." Apple Jack said to me as she got up

"how did I get here? and what am I doing in your bed" I asked in confusion "I found you last night when I was taking a stroll down at the orchard so I carried you all the way here, as for why you're in my bed *blushes* I had to keep you warm because you were shaking like crazy" Apple Jack explained to me.

"does anypony know that I'm here?" I asked as I examine my wound "uhh.. no.. just us the apple family.. why do you ask?" Apple Jack asked me.

"oh God.. Scootaloo must be worried sick... thank you Apple Jack.. but I have to go now" I said to Apple Jack weakly as I walk towards the door slowly and falls down the stair.

"ouch.." I said in reaction from falling down the stair as I blinked a couple of few time.

"Bright Wind are you okay?!" Apple Jack shouted as she went down the stair "yeah I'm fine, thank you for asking" I said to Apple Jack as I let out a small chuckle.

"oh hi there doctor Bright Wind" Apple Bloom said to me as she went into the house.

"oh hi there" I said to Apple Bloom as I move weakly to the living room.

"Doctor Bright Wind ma brother wanted to apologize for umm.. uhh... what was it again?" Apple Bloom said in confusion.

"well that's okay Apple Bloom I already have forgiven him" I said with a smile.

"oh.." Apple Bloom said to me "would you like me to carry you?" Apple Jack offered as she blushed.

"no thank you Apple Jack, that's nice of you to offer me that but I think I can walk on my own" I said with a smile.

"well then at least let me accompany you to Ponyville just to make sure" Apple Jack offered.

"well I have nothing against that so feel free to walk with me to Ponyville" I said to Apple Jack as I walk to Ponyville.

"so how's your apple bucking hoof?" I asked as we walk to Ponyville.

"they're gettin better doc, thanks for asking" Apple Jack said as she went silent half of the journey.

"so.. you got a daughter huh.. who's the lucky mare?" Apple Jack asked as I laughed at his question.

"there is no lucky mare, I adopted Scootaloo.." I said as I laughed while Apple Jack look relief.

"why do you mares keep asking me that?" I asked as I chuckled.

"wait.. are you saying that somepony already asked you that question?" Apple Jack asked.

"yeah Twilight asked me that too and I think half of the mare in town asked me that in the party" I said as I continue to walk.

"darn it.." Apple Jack said feeling frustrated.

"what's wrong Apple Jack" I asked curiously.

"I.. I can't tell you.. just not yet.." Apple Jack said nervously "oh.. okay.." I said to Apple Jack knowing that something is not right.

As we arrived to Ponyville I went directly to my house.

--- Home ---

"Scootaloo! Rainbow Dash! I'm home!" I shouted from the front door.

"Dad you're back!" Scootaloo shouted as she ran to hug me.

"did you just said Rainbow Dash?" Apple Jack asked me in confusion.

"yeah she's staying with me here at my place" I said to Apple Jack as I put Scootaloo down.

"why that good for nothing mare.." Apple Jack mumbled to herself.

"where's Rainbow Dash?" I asked Scootaloo.

"mom is.. I mean Rainbow Dash is looking for you in the everfree forest" Scootaloo said to me in a hurry as I face hoofed

"mom?!" Apple Jack said in shock.

"Scootaloo.. for the last time.. I don't have any kind of special relationship with miss Rainbow Dash" I said to Scootaloo feeling annoyed while Apple Jack look relief.

"stay here Scoot I'll look for Rainbow Dash" I said to Scootaloo feeling worried as I ran as fast as I could to the forest ignoring the pain while Apple Jack followed me.

--- Everfree Forest ---

"Rainbow Dash! Where are you!" I shouted from a cliff as I looked around for her.

"Bright Wind!" shouted a pony coming from behind me as the pony ran to my direction and hugged me.

"Twilight? what are you doing here?" I asked as I turned around to see that there is at least 100 royal guards around me.

"and uhh what are they doing here?" I asked Twilight as I stare at them.

"Rainbow Dash said that you were attacked by Timber wolves so I wrote a letter to Princess Celestia to help me find you.." Twilight explained.

"please say my thanks to the Princess" I said to Twilight with a smile.

"don't worry I'll be sure to give her your message" Twilight said to me smiling.

"have you seen Rainbow Dash?" I asked Twilight feeling nervous.

"umm.. no the last time I saw her was when she told me that you were attacked by Timber wolves" Twilight said to me.

"oh God.. I think she went back here, please tell the guards to look for her" I said to Twilight feeling worried as Twilight ordered them to look for her, Time went by quickly and it was night time again.

"Dashie!" I shouted as I looked for her.

"it's getting dark Bright Wind lets go back" Twilight suggested.

"yeah I think we should go back, it's dangerous here at night time" Apple Jack said to me.

"which is why it is a good reason to look for her.. it's dangerous here.. and she lost her left wing after that knife incident.. now she can't even fly..." I said with bit of angry tone in my voice.

"Rainbow Dash lost her wing?" Twilight asked feeling guilty after suggesting to go back.

"yes.. now she can't even fly back to her own house.." I said in a calmer tone.

"oh.. I see.." Apple Jack said feeling guilty for calling his friend a good for nothing mare.

"Dashie!!!" I shouted louder as I saw a blue cyan figure on the hill lying on the ground.

"look there she is!" I shouted as I ran to her.

"Rainbow Dash are you okay?" I asked as I tried to wake her up.

"huh? not now.. can't you see I'm trying to sleep here.." Rainbow Dash said while she's half asleep.

"oh thank God she's okay.." I said in a relief as I carried her on my back and she smiled.

"poor Dashie.. she must have been so worn out while looking for me.." I said with a small smile as I carried her home and said good bye to Apple Jack and Twilight.
