Chapter 1: Kakarot's Escape! What is This' Creature?

"Bardock... Bardock!". The Saiyan opens his eyes to see a control panel and his partner, leek.

"What is it?" Bardock responds as he gets up.

"We almost arrived at Planet Vegeta, feels good to be home huh?" Leek says.

"Yeah, I guess," Bardock says not giving a care in the world.

"What do you think Frieza needs us for, It must be important if he needs all of us Saiyans back at Planet Vegeta. Maybe the bastard has some big plan for us."

"Watch your mouth, your scouter is on!" Bardock warned.

"Th... That's right!" Leek gasps, quickly taking off his scouter. As he puts the device in a cupboard under the ship controls, he spots a large amount of small and large ships passing theirs.

"Hey look at that! Seems like the party may have started without us," exclaimed Leek, happy to see his fellow teammates.

"Frieza's already here?" Bardock said a little surprised after spotting the lead ship. Leek looks to what his teammate was looking at and gasps as their ship flys under the command ship, avoiding a collision.

"I wonder why he's still up here when he could've landed already." Leek wondered.

"Something about this is strange. If he wanted to talk to his men, he could've just used the radio and saved everyone a whole lot of time." "And if he's got new weapons for us, there's no reason we need to pick them up together." Bardock finishes as the ship enters the planet's atmosphere, creating a flaming fireball around them. "I've got a bad feeling about this, none of it makes any sense." Bardock finished sounding concerned.

"Wha, come on. What do you mean a 'bad feeling'?" Leek questioned, not knowing what Bardock is leading to. The ship then begins to cool down after the flaming fireball around them dissipates, meaning they entered the atmosphere safely.

"Look, we conquer planets and then sell them to whoever will pay us. That's how the Saiyans made our fortunes, how we've always existed." Bardock explained.

"But then... Frieza's father, King Cold, made us serve under him, forcing our people into slavery. Reaping the benefits of our work."

"That was a pretty long time ago, though," Leek said.

"Sure, but all this time we've never been happy working together, have we?" Bardock asked.

"That's true. I can't think of any Saiyan who likes Frieza." Leek joked as he guided and landed the ship into an open area full of working Saiyan soldiers and workers.

"Yeah, and I'm betting he probably feels the same way about us," Bardock said as he stood from his seat and grabbing his bag, full of supplies and spare clothes.

"What?" Leek said confused, not knowing what Bardock meant.

"The Frieza Force has grown extremely large. They can probably get by without us annoying Saiyans around." Bardock finishes as he walks to the hatch and opens it. Leek quickly turns the ship controls off and grabs his bag, racing towards Bardock.

"What do you...?" then it clicked in Leek's head, realizing what Bardock meant. The two then hover out of the ship and land a couple of feet away. "Hold on. You're not suggesting that Frieza's planning to exterminate us." Leek asked worriedly.

Bardock flings his luggage onto his shoulder and looks to his teammate with a smirk. "It's a possibility, am I right?" Bardock playfully asked.

Leek then puts his hand on the back of his head, chuckling nervously. "Uh... Come on, quit playing Bardock."

Bardock then started to walk away with Leek close by, until another Saiyan called him out, "Yo, good to see you. Didn't think you'd make it back alive." Taro jokes.

"Shut up," Bardock growled, but then thought of something. "Any idea why we got the order to return home so fast?" Bardock asked, making Taro go into thought.

"It beats me. Maybe they found a fortified world they need all of our help with. One so protected, it'll take every Saiyan alive to conquer." Taro grinned, thinking of how fun it would be. But Bardock shook the thought and started to walk off.

"That must be it! And here you had me all worried!" Leek exclaimed, liking Taro's idea more than Bardock's.

"And oh, Bardock. Frieza's people have been askin' round about the Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God lately. Not sure what that's about." Taro said with confusion. This got both Leek and Bardock to stop and stare at him.

"What do you mean the 'Super Saiyan' and 'Super Saiyan God'"? Like the two in the legends?" Bardock asked confused. Then it finally clicked in his head, "That must be it!" Bardock mumbled, getting serious and quickly flying towards his town where he lived with his wife, Gine.

Leek was shocked at this sudden development, "What's gotten into Bardock?" Leek asked himself but then decided to shrug it off and go home.

Bardock flew with haste as he sees his town come to view with a growing smirk. He lands a couple of feet from the entrance to the town and walks in. 'This is bad, Frieza is afraid of the legendary Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God. He wants to exterminate us so then it can never come.' Bardock thought.

"Welcome home Bardock, it's good to see you!" A Saiyan shouted above him with a container in his arms grasp.

Bardock smirked at this friendly gesture and waved back, "You too." The Saiyan then flew off going to do whatever he was doing. Bardock saw his house come into view and sees his wife and another Saiyan female in there cutting up meat.

Bardock makes it to the large and open doorway and greets Gine, "What's wrong? No warm welcome Gine?" Bardock teases.

Gine jumps a little and turns around to see her husband with his bag in one arm. "Bardock, you're here!" Gine exclaimed as she puts the big butcher knife down and walks towards him.

"Things sure are crazy around town today," Bardock said as he drops his bag and hugs Gine. The other female smiles at this gesture and walks away so then they could have their moment.

"Yeah. It's not that often everyone comes back."

"Where's Raditz?" Bardock asked the whereabouts of his first son.

"Off-world. He's in the military now, teamed up with Prince Vegeta on some planet. I seriously doubt they'll make it back for this." Gine says as they get out of their embrace, pulling off the gloves she had on.

Bardock was a little surprised to hear his first son got teamed up with the Prince. "Wow, Prince Vegeta, huh? I wouldn't want to be stuck on a ship with that one." Bardock jokes, he then remembered what he was going to ask earlier. "How's Kakarot doing? Is he still in a nursing capsule?" Bardock asked.

"He is. It's about time to let him out, though. You should see him." Gine said, turning around to a doorway at the end of the room, "Come on"

"Alright alright," Bardock said while grabbing his bag and walking with Gine. As they both enter the room, Bardock sees his second son in a large glass and metal bubble, filled with a dark yellow liquid. Bardock was a little disappointed to see Kakarot still small, while he's supposed to be a little bigger.

"Still small, huh?"

"I think he may be a late bloomer. He looks just like you, though, don't you think? He certainly has his father's hair, for better or worse." Gine jokes, but then she saw the concerned look on Bardock's face. She was going to ask him what was wrong, but Bardock beat her to it.

"After dark, I'm going to steal a pod for him," Bardock said sternly.

"Huh?" This caught Gine off guard, confused at what he meant.

"We're going to send our son to another world."

"Huh?! You've gotta be kidding!" Gine shouted, getting angrier by the second.

"Gine. I'm serious." Bardock said, looking at the confused and angry Gine.

"Have you gone insane? Why would we abandon our son like that? He hasn't even learned how to talk yet!"

"With his latent abilities, he's destined to be sent away. Probably somewhere horrible. So, we're going to see to it that he at least grows up on a decent planet." Bardock explained while Gine walked to his side, looking at Kakarot.

"No. He's far too young for that." Gine sniffled a little, a tear silently slipping away from her eye.

"I don't think we can afford to wait much longer."

"And what does that mean?!" Gine shouted as tears started to roll down her face.

"Because of Frieza. I think he's afraid of the Legendary Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God appearing one day." Bardock explained.

"Hold on, the Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God?" Gine asked, confused at what he meant. "But, those are only... Those are just a children's fairy tale, Bardock!"

"I know. The problem is, I think he's still bothered by the two legends. And I can't imagine he'd want to take any chances." Bardock finishes. He looks to Gine with a saddened look, "I get the feeling that death is on its way for us."

The two managed to steal a pod at night and bring it safely back to their home without being noticed. The two then went to sleep as they knew, they were going to send their son to a planet called Earth during the day.

Bardock slowly opened his eyes, blurry at first but his eyesight returns to normal. He looks around to see Gine wrapping an arm around him. He smiled at this, but then he frowned, knowing what he had to do. "Hey, Gine... it's time."

Gine slowly opened her eyes to see Bardock looking at her with a saddened gaze. She was confused at first, but then remembered what today was. "Hey, Bardock...

Bardock notices the frown and put a hand on Gine's shoulder, giving her a sad smile. "I know Gine, but we have to do it," Bardock explained. He got out of bed then heard a beeping noise, he frowned at it and went and looked for it.

"Where the hell is that blasted thing..." Bardock mumbled. He then found it, he put it on as he noticed something dreadful. "Oh no..."

"What is it Bardock? Bardock?" Gine asked, but then saw the trembling Saiyan, he slowly took the scouter off and dropped it. "Bardock what's wrong..."

"GET KAKAROT NOW! FRIEZA IS GOING TO ATTACK SOON!" Bardock shouted as he raced off to get the Saiyan pod. Gine trembled, knowing the might and power of Frieza. She raced into the other room and got Kakarot out of the nursing capsule. Kakarot cried as the tank emptied of the yellow liquid, he then started to throw his hands around.

"Come on Kakarot, it's time to go!" Gine sobbed as she quickly dried her son off with a towel and quickly put on small Saiyan armor and clothes. It took her a minute to put it on, but she finished in time to see Bardock outside with the Saiyan pod in his arms.

"Hurry, we don't have much time!" Bardock shouted. Gine nodded her head and pulled Kakarot into a hug as she ran outside. She saw a speck in the sky, realizing it was Frieza's command ship. "Gine! We can't find a suitable place to launch him, we have to do it now!"

"Right!" Gine said. Bardock put the pod down and opened the hatch quickly. Gine and Bardock gave one last look at Kakarot before putting him in the Saiyan pod and closing the hatch.

"Listen, son. You do what it takes to survive, got it?" Bardock asked. Kakarot just nodded as tears started to roll down his face.

"We love you!" Gine cried out, sobbing as she leaned her head against Bardock's. A blinding red light appears above them as horror spreads across their faces. Frieza created a giant sphere of energy, making it look like the sun.

"Goodbye, my son!" Bardock shouted as tears started on him as well. He and Kakarot put a hand on the glass, matching them in the same area. The pod then started to rumble as the engines started to kick in. The pod then broke through the atmosphere and shot towards planet Earth. The energy attack destroyed Planet Vegeta, creating a giant explosion and shockwave that hit the pod, sending it off course to another planet.

However, the shockwave of the blast made Kakarot fling from his seat and hit the roof of the pod, making him pass out, with all of his memories.

Equestria

The night was brisk, cold, but that would not affect the pony who is watching over Equestria at night, Princess Luna. A tall and slim Alicorn with a dark coat and mane and light blue eyes, wearing a dark crown, a black scarf with a crescent moon on it, and silver clads. She watched over Equestria and would go into ponies dreams to fight off against nightmares, but this night was calm, making her job tonight easy.

"These are one of my favorite nights. No clouds in the midnight sky, everypony possessing no nightmares, surely my favorite. Now, what to do since everypony is having a restful sleep?" Princess Luna thought. But then, something unexpected happened. Luna was about to grab a snack from the kitchen, but then stopped when she saw a meteor shower appear in the night sky.

“What's the meaning of this, I don’t believe we scheduled for a meteor shower?” Luna asked confused. She then saw a bright one appear in the shower, bouncing off the other asteroids, this went to confuse Luna even further. “Why is this meteor acting strange?” The meteor then broke from the group and seemed to get bigger and brighter by the second, Luna then realized the meteor was heading for the castle gardens! “Oh no, this is bad!” Luna then shouted for the royal guards to get out of the garden as fast as possible.

The meteor then crashed into the garden, creating a large crater and dust cloud that covered most of the garden. Luna opened up her wings and took off toward the crater, ideas towards what happened were playing over and over again in the Princess’s head. She got to the crash site to see a perfect white sphere with a large red window on it. “What is that? I've never seen anything like it…” Luna spoke aloud. Luna then heard a teleportation spell next to her and turned to see Princess Celestia.

“Is everything alright Luna?” Princess Celestia asked with worry.

“Don’t worry sis, I’m alright. But what is this thing?” Luna wondered. They then started to hear crying inside the white sphere. The two Princesses looked at each other in wonder as they trotted closer to the object. Luna looked inside the sphere to see a small monkey-like creature with spiky hair and some sort of armor-like clothing. “Sis! There’s a creature inside this thing!” Luna said with surprise. Celestia gasped and took a look for herself and saw the same thing.

“Look, Luna, it’s…” Celestia gasps as she sees blood trailing down the child’s head. “It has a head injury!” Celestia wasted no time as she lit up her horn with magic and open the hatch on the front of the pod. Luna then used her magic to levitate the small child into her grasps. It continued to sob from the pain and buried its face onto Luna’s chest, surprised at this notion, she used one of her wings to hug the child. Luna then used a sleeping spell on it, having it stop crying and fall into a restful sleep.

“Sis, I’m going to take this creature to the hospital, do you have it from here?” Luna asked.

“Yes Luna, now hurry!” Celestia commanded, Luna nodded her head and took off to the canterlot hospital. Celestia then ordered the Royal Guard to close the area off for investigation, she then went to bed, hoping everything will turn out all right.

Luna galloped towards the hospital, hoping the child will make it. It wasn't seriously injured, she thought, but had a gash on the side of its head. Luna then shortly arrived at the hospital, getting the nurse's attention by showing the child to her.

“Princess Luna, What is that thing?” The nurse asked but was interrupted by Luna.

“I know of your curiosity but that will have to wait. It’s injured and is in need.” Luna explained, showing the gash on the child's head. The nurse gasped and quickly got out a stretcher and call for a doctor to get a room ready. Luna took a glance at the creature to see it hugging onto her neck, Luna smiled at this. The doctor and nurse came back with a stretcher and motioned for Luna to put the creature on it. They then rushed it to the ER room with haste with Luna in tow. As she got to the door, the nurse put a hoof in front of Luna, stopping her.

“I’m sorry Princess Luna, but nopony but the doctors can enter the ER while the patient is being treated, you’ll have to wait.” The nurse explained.

“I see. I’ll wait” Luna sighed and went to the waiting room. ‘Whatever this thing is, I hope it gets through this.’
