ACT SEVENTEEN

Twilight couldn’t stop fretting.

“We’ve got to get back, somehow, and fast!” she cried “Who knows what Yamimakai has already done?! He already killed Celestia, he’ll kill more, and I just know it!”

Raven marched right up and gave her a small slap to the cheek to snap her out of it.

Nobody scolded her for it.

“It had to be done this time.” Raven said “Plus, her panicking is annoying.”

Even Twilight thanked Raven for the slap and getting her back to Earth. “I just wish I knew what to do. Without the gem, how are we supposed to get to Equestria?”

Discord growled, and looked ready to kick a wall down were it not for hi frail human body. “Now I really wish I had my powers. I could probably find a way to my home dimension and we could get to Equestria from there!”

Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, and Terra all happened on the same sudden idea, and Robin felt ready to kick himself for not thinking it in the first place.

They all looked over at Raven, and she rolled her eyes back and forth at everyone, “What?”

“Raven, you can open gateways to other dimensions.” said Robin.

The Equestrians all blinked once.

“She can?” asked Spike “And nobody bothered to tell us this in the first place BECAUSE?!”

“Because it’s dangerous, that’s why!” snapped Raven. She looked angrily at all the Titans, “How can you suggest such a thing? Do you realize the risks that involved?”

“Of course we do.” said Cyborg “If you have any other way to get the job done, we’re all ears.”

Raven still pointed out the obvious problems.

“I don’t even know where Equestria is, or where to even start looking. If I made so much as “one error” not only could it result in all of us being lost, but it may even disrupt the space continuum, which would damage or destroy all existence as we know it.”

“Whoa!” cried Discord “And I call myself The God of Chaos?”

Raven was already getting the idea that the others wouldn’t let it be this time, even she, herself, realized there was no other way.

Still, she also had to point out, “Even if we do get there, how can possibly face Yamimakai. We already tried that and we nearly got killed.”

Everyone realized this as well.

Yamimakai would only get stronger if they tried to fight him again. There would no way they could possibly fight without showing any resentment or rage.

“The smallest amount would be fatal.” said Cyborg “So how are we supposed to fight him?”

Terra thought it over deeply, and all she could seem to think of was Beast Boy, and from there sparked a mighty thought.

“We can appeal to his heart!”

Everyone looked at her awkwardly.

“His heart?” asked Discord “Like he even has a heart. Let alone a soul that he sold.”

“No, wait a minute.” said Robin “She’s right. It’s still Beast Boy’s body, so he still has Beast Boy’s heart, and his inner-spirit.”

“Perhaps if we can really try, we can awaken Beast boy’s inner strength to use against the villain.” agreed Starfire.

Twilight agreed too and realized, “The Elements of Harmony. They can probably help us if I just get to them.”

“Booyah! Now we’ve got a plan!” cried Cyborg “We’ll fight hate, with love!”

Terra looked down at her gloved hands. While she was still out of practice, she knew the only way to stabilize was get back into the game.

As for Raven, her insides were going crazy with worry and doubt, but Robin placed his hand on her shoulder, telling her that he had faith in her, and everyone else looked upon her with the same confidence.

Raven could only sighed, “Sometimes I think I’m getting too soft.”

Rather than allow anyone into her room, Raven merely got all the things she needed and gathered everyone in the lounge.

Everyone helped to move furniture and stuff out of the way.

Cyborg really missed his right arm and really wished there was some way to fix it.

“Hey,” Discord said “Don’t worry. Once we’re back home, I’ll be able to help you.”

Feeling overjoyed, “Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s get going!”

“Where is Twilight?” asked Starfire.

Twilight was in the sickbay, standing before Celestia again.

“I really wish you were coming back with us. We’re going to need all the help we can get, but I know you’ll be there to guide us in spirit.”

She closed her eyes and bowed her head while placing her hand on the cold capsule.

“Twilight…” Spike called from the door “It’s time. We better get going.”

Twilight agreed and followed him to the lounge to join the others.

She, Discord, and Spike each took a last look out the window, at the city far away. Much as they didn’t like it for its greedy and bigoted behaviour with all the changes and rudeness, they still hoped things would change for the better soon.

“Alright, everyone, form a circle around Me.” said Raven.

Everyone did just so as Raven sat in the middle, and used her powers to levitate magical powders and poured them in a perfect ring around the group.

Many candles surrounded the area, as well as few urns burning with special herbs and powders inside them.

“That reeks!” Discord groaned softly.

“Shh!” snapped Twilight.

Raven concentrated hard, and began to mutter magical worlds, which caused the power ring to start glowing, and wind was starting to stir up, inside!

The glowing grew brighter and brighter and everyone suddenly felt strange, as if they were falling through the floor.

Then, all at once, they found themselves all falling through a strange zone of brightness.

“Where are we?” asked Spike.

“I do not believe I like the looks of this.” cried Starfire.

“This is the warp-zone.” Raven explained “It’s the gap between dimensions.”

Everyone could then see loads of spheres, which Raven explained, “Those are portals to other worlds that are parallel to our own.”

There seemed to be so many of them, far too many to count. Then again, what else was there to expect?

“How are we supposed to find Equestria in all this?” asked Spike.

“We just look…” said Robin “We won’t get anywhere by just standing around here.”

“Yo’ there must be a million-quadrillion of these things!” groaned Cyborg “Maybe we should split up and try to find it.”

Raven floated straight up to him shouting like mad lady, “NO!! ABSOLUTELY NOT! DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!”

Cyborg felt like a tiny fly looking up at the vicious spider!

Raven calmed herself and explained, “Wandering off around here is dangerous. One wrong turn is all it takes, and you could end up lost forever in some strange world.

We all need to stick together.”

She cast her magic, linking herself between all the others with long lines of aura.

“All right, let’s go.” said Robin.

Off they went, with Raven towing everyone.

Robin told everyone to keep their eyes focussed within a single direction due to their being so many places to look and so many portals that flew by.

Some even looked exactly the same from others, as Raven had warned they were merely parallel worlds-- different to their own.

This made Terra wonder, “Maybe someplace in another world, I was a different person-- happier. Loved…?”

All this made her think strongly of Beast Boy, and all the more determined to save him from the great evil that was abusing him.

After wandering for what could have felt like an immeasurable amount of time-- but really at least half a day-- everyone was growing weary, especially due to lack of sleep.

“We’re never going to find it, are we?” groaned Spike.

“Don’t think like that!” said Twilight “We have to find it! We will find it!”

Even Raven was starting to grow exhausted, and didn’t know how much longer she could keep everyone tethered.

“Raven!” cried Robin.

“I’m not giving up!” Raven groaned “I can keep going!”

Really she couldn’t, she could barely keep her eyes open.

Everyone was growing worried, and it was beginning to look like they were doomed…

…Until Discord spotted one portal coming up on them.

“Hey!” he cried.

“What is it? Have you found it?” asked Terra.

Discord didn’t answer, but took a good long look at the portal, and confirmed his sightings.

“Quick, head through there.” he called to Raven “Don’t ask questions! Just do it!”

Twilight and Spike got a good look at the portal, and they could tell it wasn’t the way to Equestria, but they still recognized it.

“Do as he says!” hollered Twilight.

Raven steered right into the portal, and everyone suddenly found themselves standing on solid ground, in the most twisted, and unusual world they had ever seen-- Discord’s home dimension.

“We made it!” cried Discord “I’m home!”

“Home?” asked Cyborg “If this is what you call home, I’d say you need some serious land work here.”

The swirling of the skies, and the floating around of unusual objects, it made Starfire giggle. “I have never seen such a whimsical place before.”

“Well, come on inside.” said Discord “That’ll give you something to chuckle about.”

Inside Discord’s house, everyone looked up and down and all around at all the topsy-turvies, strange objects, and other paraphernalia.

“Wow, and I thought my mind was a dangerous place.” murmured Raven

Discord took that as a compliment and said, “Hey…mi casa, su casa.”

At least they were out of danger was endless wandering, but Discord, Twilight and Spike still looked the same. They hadn’t changed back to their regular forms due to the method of dimensional hopping-- there was none of the magic that could change them back.[

“Don’t worry, I anticipated this might happen.” he said “I have a very rare and special potion that just might help me at least.”

He explained how he always anticipated one day that he’d be stripped of his reality bending powers, or his form would be altered, so he created a special potion that took him centuries to get right.

“One sip of that potion, and I’ll be my normal self, and so will you and Spike, Twilight.”

Twilight and Spike felt overjoyed, but then Discord just stood there pondering.

“Well?” asked Twilight “The Potion, where is it?”

Discord felt too embarrassed to say.

“You don’t know?” Cyborg asked.

Discord sighed, “I made that potion many centuries ago, and a lot has happened. I can’t remember everything, you know!”

Everyone groaned irritably.

“We’ll just have to spread out and find it.” said Robin. Only everyone looked around at all the crazy, wacky things going on in the house.

“This could take a while.” murmured Raven.

Even longer than she thought as the gang soon found that nothing was like it was back at home…!

An upside down floating chest of drawers, rather containing clothing-- Robin pulled one of the drawers out and got a face-full of confetti.

Cyborg couldn’t help but check the kitchen, and see what kind of food Discord had in his refrigerator. Yet he opened the door and a load of fireworks popped out.

Starfire and Terra were amused by a coatrack that was actually silly snakes dancing, which made them giggle.

Raven shook her head in dismay. Not even when she looked at the photographs that all waved or winked at her.

One picture even stuck out its huge tongue and licked her like a dog.

“Blech!” she groaned. “Can we find the potion and get out of here already?!”

“It would help if we even knew what it looked like.” muttered Spike.

“Um… could this be it?” Twilight asked as she held up a flask of spectrum-colored liquid.

“Yeah, that’s it!” cried Discord “Where did you find it?”

Twilight gave him an awkward stare, “In the cabinet marked “Potions” in your bathroom?”

Everyone gave Discord a scornful look, shaking their heads in pity.

Discord felt very silly for not realizing this in the first place. “Look, we have it, so let’s get on with it.”

There was just enough for himself, Twilight and Spike to each have one cup full, and they had to drink the whole thing down.

Spike took a whiff of it, “Yikes!” he groaned.

“It’s a potion, not a milkshake!” scorned Discord “Do you have any idea how hard it was to discover and make? I had to travel through whole dimensions to--”

“Never mind that now.” said Twilight “How long will it take for the effects to work.”

“Instantly.” replied Discord “But I better warn you. It’s going to be a rough ride. It’ll feel like your insides are on fire, and there won’t be a split second you won’t feel like blowing chunks!”

Spike and Twilight shuddered. Just the smell of it made them feel like passing out. However, all three of them decided to keep in mind why they were doing it-- for their friends.

“Well, bottoms-up.” cheered Discord, and he, Twilight and Spike raised their glasses, and they all cringed as they drank the rancid liquid down.

All three dropped their glasses, followed by themselves hitting the floor hard. All three of them gaging and cringing as if they were in pain.

The Titans all stepped back to give them space as they rolled about, clutching their throats, looking as if they were gag any moment!

Suddenly their bodies began to bulge and stretch as they began to change shape.

It was so frightening to watch, but in the end… it worked! Their bodies were restored!

All three of them slowly opened their eyes.

“It worked!” cried Spike “I’m a dragon again!”

“Ohhh…!” Starfire cooed as she flew over and picked him, cradling him like a baby “You are the most adorable creature I have ever seen!”

Spike was blushing, but out of sickness as he let out a huge belch, followed by a spectrum colored cloud, right in Starfire’s face, which made her feel like gaging.

“Sorry. That stuff is gross!” Spike groaned.

Twilight and Discord belched too, but it felt so great to be back to their old selves.

The Titans couldn’t help but stare at them-- the most unique looking creatures they had ever seen, and they had seen a lot!

Suddenly, the Equestrians felt a little faint from fatigue, the Titans also felt very woozy too. Their lack of rest was watching up on them, as well as disorientation from dimensional travel.

“We’re in no shape to just rush into battle like this.” Robin admitted through a yawn.

“We must not give in!” cried Starfire, but, really, she felt like she could barely hold herself up.

With her magic restored, Twilight managed to get up onto her feet, and aimed her horn at everyone, giving them all a soft touch of her glowing aura, and soon, everyone felt fit a fiddle.

“Wow!” cried Terra “I feel like I could run a marathon!”

Cyborg did a couple of jumping-jacks. “Not bad. What was that?”

“It’s a wide-awake spell I know of.” answered Twilight “It’s given us all a big boost of energy to keep us going, but…” she paused “The effects are only temporary. They’ll only last a few hours. By the end of that time, we’re all going to be dangerously exhausted.”

“Well, what are we waiting for?” asked Spike “Let’s go and save Equestria!”

“And Beast Boy…” Terra pointed out.

The other Titans agreed with her.

“Oh, Cyborg…” said Discord “One last thing.”

He waved his hand over Cyborg’s bare shoulder, and then, in a flash of light a new arm appeared on his body. It seemed like a plain ordinary, muscular arm with armored plantings instead of his cybernetic arm.

“Yo’, what is this?” he asked.

“Sorry, that’s all I can do.” replied Discord “I can bend reality, but I can only do so much, especially if I don’t understand what it is I’m bending.”

He wasn’t able to give Cyborg back his real arm because he didn’t know how the cybernetics and machinery really worked.

“Trust me, this arm I gave you will do just fine. It can fire the same kind of energy your sonic cannon did, and it’s very strong too.”

Cyborg clenched his new fist, feeling pretty strong as promised as he punched a hole right through the floorboards.

“Hey!!” snapped Discord.

“Hey-Hey-Hey…!” Cyborg murmured while flexing his muscled “Not bad! I’m feeling back in the game!”

Starfire then asked, “Perhaps Discord could be our key-factor in defeating the evil?”

“Yeah,” agreed Terra “You could bend reality, then you could just weaken the evil and we can beat it easier.”

Discord chuckled rather hysterically, and fell to the floor kicking his feet.

“Oh, I’m sorry, but you’ve got to be kidding.”

“We’re not kidding.” sneered Raven.

Discord’s features hardened “Well neither am I. This isn’t any ordinary evil we’re dealing with. This is Yamimakai-- the Force of Hatred.

You heard him-- he has the power to actually pierce through reality. My magic wouldn’t have any effect on him like that.”

Twilight agreed, for had seen Discord’s powers be denied before, even by she and her own friends. “But you can still help us. We all need to do our part to get the Elements of Harmony.”

“…Assuming they’re still around.” Spike pointed out.

Everyone agreed, no more stalling around.

…Next stop: Equestria, for the big confrontation!
