(2 hours later)

There is one thing I hate about walking that I now love.

The quiet.

Normally it would drive me mad because of how boring it would get with no music to walk with, but the quiet was a sign that meant where were being as quiet not to attract any zeds. Well not fully quiet my armor did make some noise but it was so quiet that you could barely hear it.

Besides that Vex and Blair didn't talk we needed to keep the noise level at 0 when outdoors.

But of course Blair complained after a mile about her feet and I didn't blame here, she was just a kid so I did what any other person would do.

I let her ride on my shoulders as we walked and to my surprise she was very light for a kid...had she been starving? I mean when she ate the apples Vex gave us she wolfed them down like crazy which made me wander.

"Hey kid,"

Blair looked down to me.

"Hm?"

"How often did you and your parents eat? Before all this I mean," I asked her as she spoke with a sad voice.

"Daddy and Mommy tired there best to put food on the table but sometimes I will have to eat and they don't,"

Poor kid parents must have been scrapping the barrel just to get by.

"I'm sorry you had to live like that kid," She lowered herself onto my helmet.

"It's not your fault my mommy and daddy had to live like that," She stated.

Still I did feel bad...

Yet this grabbed Vex's attention as she turned to me.

"Though I have been living under a rock for quite a long time the bones have told me sad tales of the world outside," She state as she corrected her calk white mask.

"You read bones?"

She turned to me and winked.

"I'm a witch sweetie,"

"Should have guessed," Blair laughed slightly at my sarcastic voice.

"If you don't believe me I could always-"

I stopped in my tacks as Vex did.

"Someones here,"

I flinched as I quickly got Blair off my shoulders and onto the ground.

"Zombies?" I asked she shook her head as she pulled out a vial.

"No they are alive,"

"How many?"

"Five but one seems bigger than the others," she warned.

"What are they? Ponies?"

She shook her head.

"One diamond dog, a hippogriff, a changling, and two dragons my my we have quite the handful dear warden," Vex told me.

Pulling out my longsword I readied myself for a fight as the sound of heavy footsteps came close.

"Be ready we don't know if they have ill intentions,"

"Agreed but if they do they don't stand much of a chance between a which and a warden~" Vex said playfully causing me to look at her. "Its been awhile since I've last fought so this will be interesting to say the least,"

I nodded.

"Right,"

As the footsteps got closer the green bush that was blocking our line of sight was moved as we meet who was waiting on the other side.

"Whoa who are you guys?" Whoa that is a big diamond dog.

"Hey why are we stopping!" A female voice asked behind the large black furred diamond hound.

He turned behind them and pointed to us.

"There are these guys here what should I do?"

"Wait guys not dead?" Another female asked before a male voice spoke up.

"Let me see Rock," Something was a bit off in his voice almost like a hiss.

The big diamond dog who I was to guess was 'rock' moved away leaving a crimson armored...changeling? When his eyes meet us his eyes changed color from a green to a yellow.

"By the queen there are others,"

He stepped forward but I kept my stance as he held out his hands.

"Whoa easy there guys we mean you no harm," Before the changeling could go on a hippogriff peaked there head as a blue fur peaked out.

"OOOHHH Let me see them bloodfang let me see them-!" He was pushed down by the changeling who still held a friendly smile.

"Pardon my friend here its been awhile since we last seen other...living beings beside the undead,"

As the changling's eyes changed back to a green he spoke.

"Now would you kindly lower your weapons we don't want the child to see anything messy,"

When he said the word 'child' Blair tighten her grip on my kama around my waist.

"We truly mean you no harm friend," As he said this two dragoness peaked from behind rock.

"Whoa who's the armored dude?"

"Quiet sister,"

I blinked but turned back to the changeling as he still held out his hands.

"Please friend we don't mean you any harm," As he said this I took in a deep breath before turning to vex.

She gave a nod, as she did I lowered my weapon to them as she did the same.

The eyes of the changeling turned to a purple as he gave a smile of relief.

"Thank you friends,"

As he said this he moved forward allowing the other three to come into view and I got to say it was a weird one at that.

'Rock' was the diamond dog that was about 7 feet tail and built like a tank...got be honest if I hadn't known better this guy could easily be a peacekeeper. He wore a pair of tattered trunks along with a leather shoulder pad on his left arm that did little to protect himself.

The two female dragons where...how to say this? Opposites? Almost twins in away but both had a uniqueness to the other. One was white scaled with blue highlights while the other was black scaled and red highlights but both held the same eye color as the other. A nice dragon eyed gold. They both wore the same outfit but reversed of the other but what the outfit was... I don't know.

The hippogriff was what I would guess a teen and was completely blue save for the green on his chest and arms with a white beck. Judging by his clothes he was probably a student of some kind but not one of those mane students or whatever they are called.

Lastly was the changeling and he was a old one...well classic to say the least and he unlike the rest donned for war in crimson/vanta carapace armor with a purple gem in his chest plate. His armor was covered in damage marks but mostly around his arms and feet where bite marks and scratches covered them.

They have seen a lot no telling in how much they have seen.

"Who are you lot?" I asked.

The changeling step forth and smiled his eyes turning green.

"Well friend I am Bloodfang of the...*sigh* former crystal royal guard that was swore to protect our dear queen blah blah blah look I many seem a 'unturned' but I can assure you I'm not love hungry like the rest of my kin...or what's left of them," His eye turned blue for a moment before turning to green again. "Well thats enough from me way don't the rest of you greet the knight and the ladies?"

The diamond dog stepped forward with a smile.

"Names rock though I many not be bright I do know how to fight," Was that rhyme...you know what never mind. "I'm from a diamond tribe up north and I came to be here after Bloodfang saved my hide from them dead ones,"

"Zombies Rock they are zombies," The griffin said turning to him. "We went over this before,"

I raised a eyebrow to this guy as I spoke.

"And who may you be?" The griffin turned to me with his red eyes.

"Me well names Sky cloud nice to meet you," He spoke with his hand out.

I just looked at it...causing him to slowly put it down.

"Ooook not much of a talon shaker I understand," He said with a smile.

That left the two sisters who mirrored one of the other but still had that part about them that was different.

"I am Blue-" The White dragon stated.

"And I am red," Finished the black dragon.

"Yes we are sisters," They spoke at the same time which wasn't creepy at all.

"Could have easily guest that...parents weren't good with names?"

Blue nodded as her sister huffed black smoke.

"Sadly yes but it was our mother who named us this our father was to say the least a...whats the word?"

"Bastard," Red huffed.

"Red please there is a child present do try and not say such words around the child,"

"Whatever sis,"

Blue turned to me and spoke.

"What may be your names sir knight?"

"Jack my name is Jack,"

Author's Note

Well there you go the five finally meet "John" and his two companions, it wasn't really hard to pick since not alot of you guys PM or commented characters. Not pointing out names but some where kinda weird, like the good kind of weird like red and blue. For some odd reason while I read these two bio I was kinda reminded of Ryuko and Satsuki from kill la kill. I liked them for that but for sky cloud I kinda place him as a smart kid who lives in a kinda doesn't fit in. Rock...when I was reading his bio I just thought of brick from borderlands and tried to put that lovable vault hunter as a diamond dog in my story. Lastly was bloodfang now this guy was on the money for one of the spots, why? Mostly because he has military experience unlike the rest of the group (though Vex is way odder than him don't ask me how old she is that will be reviewed later) and I liked his character out right and tried my best to put him in as well as I could.
