(Night)
(Location: Mid north, campfire)

"So mixtown is gone?" I nodded at bloodfang's question as he sighed.

The rest of his group shifted slightly before Red spoke up.

"Great now what? Mixtown was our best bet now its nothing but a horde infested shit hole,"

"Sister the child," Blue hissed as red only rolled her eyes.

"What do we do now?" Red asked bloodfang as he crossed his arms.

"I don't know,"

"What do you mean you 'don't know'?!" Red raised her voice causing me to hold out my hand.

"Red please keep your voice down," I warned.

The dragonness snarled at me.

"Look he doesn't know so quiet down and quit it let the man think," Red huffed as she turned from me with her arms crossed under her breasts.

Bloodfang took off his helmet and exhaled.

"Thanks Jack,"

I nodded to him.

"Not a problem mate," Bloodfang's eyes turned a blood red as he rubbed them.

"So much for that idea,"

"Going to mixtown?" He nodded.

He sighed as he pulled a flask from his belt and took a swing from it, after he was done he handed it to me. I just shook my head as I kindly refused the drink.

"So what your story Jack?" Asked bloodfang.

"Does it really matter?"

"Maybe,"

"Well there not much to say bloodfang I'm just a guy trying to get by in this world nothing more nothing less,"

"Aren't we all?" Asked the changeling.

"Yeah but I'm trying to get this little one somewhere safe," I placed my hand on Blair's sleeping form as she used my waist bag as a pillow on my lap.

"How do you two meet?"

I snickered at the memory before speaking.

"I fell though a roof,"

"What?" Bloodfang's eyes turned yellow at my answer before I spoke again.

"Dude I feel though a roof and saw her alone in a room with zombies pounding at the door so I did what any other good person would do and picked her up and ran,"

Bloodfang shifted slightly as he heard this.

"Did...did you kidnap her?"

"She would have died along with her parents,"

"But that still kid-"

"Her parents where already dead," The changeling blinked as I went on. "Call it fate or whatever but something brought me to her house whatever it is it wanted me to take this kid to safety,"

Bloodfang blinked before turning to the fire as the only sound was the crack of the fire as everyone was silent some slept and some just watched the fire.

"I do have a question Sir jack," I turned to see that blue asked me a question.

"What is that?" I asked.

"Are you a knight of princess Celestia?" She asked as her gold eyes stared right into my very soul.

"No and please don't call me Sir...it makes me feel old,"

"Than what are you?" The dragonness asked as Vex looked up from her vials as she crawled over to me.

"Don't you know? He's a warden!"

Red turned to us and before turning over to me and looked me up and down.

"Your saying this guy is a jailer?"

I swear if Vex wasn't wearing that mask she would have the most shocked look that I would ever see.

"Of course not! He's a warrior of the legion! Have you not heard there talls?!" I placed a hand on the witch's shoulder as she turned to me.

"Keep it down Vex,"

She nodded before speaking. "Sorry Jack,"

Nodding I let go as red spoke.

"What story?"

Oh boy we are going to be here for awhile.

Vex explained the legion and who they are to the people as she told them about the mighty lawbringers, the honorable Centurions, along with the loyal conquerors, she told about the noble paladins, the quiet peacekeepers, and finally the wardens who fight for whats right. She spoke of a story of how the legion came during a time before faust and discord, a time where order was nothing more than a idea in a war torn land. Only for the legion to come and bring order to the land and untie all the races under one banner, a time where peace was no longer a dream but a reality. Sadly it only lasted for almost a single life time until the legion was shattered from within and the peace full world was turned on its head and back to where it was a dog eat dog world.

It was faust who brought the ponies into order once again and aimed to fight the other races but only to be meet with the legion though broken still fought the mighty goddess for the rights of ALL races not just the ponies. Sadly this tale of the legion was brought to a end where the legion's disorder was their downfall as they just...vanished but before they did they promised that they would return one day and bring order back into a world where disorder returns.

The group Liston well to the story. They then turned to me after the story was over and red was the first to speak up.

"So your one of these legion aren't you?" I didn't say a word as I only nodded at her to where the dragonness leaned in close to me coming into my personal space as she studied me.

She then asked.

"How old are you?"

"19 why do you ask?"

The black dragon moved back as she held a look of curiosity.

"I though you legion guys would be immortal or something...I mean you guys did fight a goddess after all," She then asked another question. "So where are the others?"

Tilting my head questioningly she spoke up.

"Where are the other of the legion?"

I held out my heads I spoke.

"I'm the only one,"

Red and the others flinched back before blue spoke.

"What do you mean?"

Turning to blue I spoke.

"I am the legion,"

Everyone just stared at me before red spoke.

"Great so much for you guys coming in to save the day again!" She huffed.

"Hey I didn't ask for this Red," She turned to me as I spoke again. "I didn't ask to be a warden but here I am in a world where zombies are fucking everywhere and hell on earth so give me a break,"

Red hissed as I growled back.

"Please you two stop," Vex said holding out her hands.

We stopped as red took a seat next to her sister.

"Now Jack may be the only legion member here but give him some space hes at least trying to help," She gestured to the child on my lap as I placed a hand on Blair's sleeping form. "He's only one man,"

Red huffed as Blue turned to me.

"Must be quite the burden you have,"

Placing my hand on my head I nodded.

"Yeah big fucking shoes to fill,"

"Hey maybe we can help!" Looking up to see rock awake with a smile on his face.

"What do you mean big guy?" I asked.

"Well legion is a group of guys right? So why can't we join the legion?"

"What?"

"Think about it you can do only so much by yourself but with us you can do so much more," Rock said as bloodfang began to nod.

"He's right you know Jack your only one man and if you join our group you, Vex, and that little girl have better chances of survival with us. I think that's what rock is trying to say," The diamond dog nodded at bloodfang as he turned to me.

"So what do you say? Can we become legion?" Crossing my arms I looked at him before smiling.

"I thought we were already a group big guy," Rock held a giant smile on his face as the others looked at me.

"Alright then Jack what do you think it best for us?" Bloodfang asked as I spoke.

"Well its best that we keep going north and hopefully get our hands on supplies while we move,"

Bloodfang then spoke.

"Why north?"

"North is less populated and it would be more safe than where we are now don't you agree?" I asked holding out my hand.

Bloodfang turned in thought before smiling and turned back.

"When do we start?"

With a huffed I dropped back as I laid on the ground.

"In the morning. Now I need sleep,"

Bloodfang chuckled as I closed my eyes.

"Of course rest my friend,"

With that I began to fall into the dream realm as everything began to fade into it.
