A few days has passed since Spider-Man's encounter with Shocker. He had found himself in a new alien suit bonded onto him, giving him immense power, speed, agility and an enhanced Spider-Sense.
However, even though Flash had gotten the pictures of Shocker and had gotten payed for his pictures. The headline that was given to the newspaper featuring his picture and details about what happened didn't sit well with him. For months he had been slandered by his nutcase of a boss over his heroic deeds. This time, he decided it was no more.
He stormed into the Daily Bugle Building, clenching the newspaper in his hand. He had an infuriated expression due to his disagreement with the headline. So now, he was going to make it clear to Jameson, whether he liked it or not.
His friend, Betty Brant. Saw him coming up and waived her hand, shooting him a friendly smile. "Hi Fla--" But Flash completely walked passed her, not even acknowledging. Her eyes widened and her eyebrow arched. That was the first time Flash had even ignored her. She glanced back into J.Jonah Jameson's office, looking into it with a window.
Flash slammed his fist into the desk and gave Mr. Jameson a piece of his mind, "This is Slander and you know it!" He scowled, pointing at his boss with an accusing finger. Showing him the front of the paper.
Mr. Jameson let out a sigh, "Sentry. I pay you to get pictures of this criminal, not be his attorney."
"What?" said Flash, "The guy risks his life for the city and you thank you to him is by committing slander."
"No, but do you want to know what is slander?" said Mr. Jameson, "Leaving Neverland."
Flash wanted to so much attack his boss right there. He wasn't even taking any of this seriously. He grit his teeth and let out a grunt.
Mr. Jameson decided to reply to Flash's angry grunt, "Look Sentry, I'm not your physiatrist, I'm an editor. Now if you don't have any pictures to give me, than get out!"
Flash's lip cured. Turning away he stormed out of the office, pulling the door open and then slamming it behind him. Mr.Jameson merely shook his head in disagreement, not even knowing what was up Flash's ass today.
Betty meanwhile was just as speechless as Mr. Jameson or so to speak. Her mouth was hanging open and her eyes were widened. She didn't say a word to Flash as she watched him walk away angrily. Wondering the same thing, what was up with Flash today?
Flash started for the staircase of the Bugle. Opening the door and walking up the steps, all the way to the top of the
building. Opening the door he emerged from the building and stood on top of it.
He closed his eyes and let out a sigh, soon his body was surrounded by a small blue aura before his new suit completely covered him from head to toe. The Black Suited Spider-Man the citizens called him and let me assure you he embraced it at this point.
"I don't even know why I keep working for this bum!" He leapt into the air, getting a good view of the city below. Extending his arm out, he fired a black webline out of his top hand and snagged it. He swung downwards, towards the road.
"Every time I do something the crazy bastard makes up some stuff to make me look bad." His webline went on an arc, he let go and fired another one.
"Maybe I should just quit that lousy job. Hell maybe even the Globe would reward Spider-Man for his actions more than the jolly one himself." He let go of his webline and dived for a street light. Reaching for it, grabbing it with his hands and hanging on it.
It wasn't long after that police cars completely drove past him. The squeal of their sirens were just enough to somewhat intrigue him. "Well maybe a little morning workout will get my mind off of it." He extended his arm and fired a webline, following the vehicles.
Meanwhile, at jewelry store. Many civilians who had just come there for the simple sole purpose of shopping and browsing now found themselves in a hostage situation, taking cover wherever they can. Anything to get away from the three ski-mask....masked men. In other words, Robbers.
The Two Cashiers both male and female, looked terrified out of their minds. Hiding behind the counter as two robbers began grabbing cash out of the cash registers and breaking the display boxes, taking as much valuable items as possible. Putting each piece of jewelry in their bags.
Meanwhile, the third robber of the group had his hand gun pointed at everyone. "Alright, everyone calm the f down. If anybody makes a wise ass decision, you'll regret it." He glanced back at his two partners, "Uh hey guys, can we hurry this up?"
"Hey look Big Man wants his money." The other robber protested, "Were not sparing anything."
"Well see, you kinda have to." The three robbers stopped abruptly and turned their heads towards the entrance. Their eyes widened. Spider-Man was casually hanging on the wall just above the doors with his arms folded. He saluted the three. "You know at this rate I don't even know why you guys keep trying."
The Robber who had been pointing his gun at the hostage, stood there with a shocked expression. He was in fact shocked to see Spider-Man, not only because he'd never encounter him before, but because he had no idea of how he managed to slip inside without being noticed.
"Uh, Spider-Man." he nervously chuckled, "And you have a new costume, uh that's kinda bad ass right?"
Spider-Man leapt off the wall in and landed right in front of the robber, his eyes narrowed. The robber gulped nervously, out of fear he pointed his gun at Spider-Man and began to creep back slowly with Spider-Man slowly walking towards him, "Uh, I'm waring you." He was visibly trembling, "I, I know how to use this."
Spider-Man scoffed, "Cute."
In a flash, his fist drove into his the robber's stomach! This inadvertently made the robber drop the gun and clutch his stomach instead. Spider-Man shot out some webbing onto his face, blocking his view of anything. Spider-Man glanced at the other two robbers.
There eyes both widened. Out of fear, they both dropped the bags and made a run for it. Hurriedly starting for the entrance. Spider-Man rolled his eyes, letting out a sigh. He acted quickly; discarding the robber for a moment and focusing on the other two.
He extended both his arms and fired two weblines out of his top hand. The two weblines caught the running robbers, stopping them in their tracks. Spider-Man snagged both weblines and then tugged it! Causing the two robbers to be sent flying away from the door.
The two both slammed into a wall really hard, knocking both out and making them fall to the ground. He glanced back at the robber on the ground. He was still struggling to get the webbing off his face, making Spider-Man chuckle. He fired a webline towards his leg. Once the webline stuck onto it he tugged it, making him fall to the ground as well.
Spider-Man then turned towards the duffle bags that the robbers had dropped. Going over towards them, he picked them off the ground and looked over the counter. He saw two cashiers hiding in fear, hands on their heads and some sounds of what sounded like whimpering from the male cashier.
"Uh...yo." The eyes of each cashier shot open and the two looked over to Spider-Man, "Uh... I think these are yours"
The two however completely ignored those words. Their eyes widened in fear and they began trembling. The female cashier spoke up, "P-Please don't hurt us."
Spider-Man's eyes furrowed, his shoulder's dropped, "Eh?"
The male cashier followed, "Look man we don't want no trouble. Please!"
Spider-Man was in disbelief, "Are you guys afraid of--"
But before he could finish. The door was kicked open by an officer, completely catching Spider-Man off guard. He turned around, dropping the duffle bag. The officer pointed his handgun at Spider-Man, "Hands in the air!" He bellowed.
Spider-Man's eyes narrowed, beneath his ooze mask was an expression of anger. It seemed like anytime he acts upon stopping crime, he's found in some 'coincidental' predicament. Spider-Man was quiet. He needed to act fast to get out of the store.
So he did. Extending his arm and aiming it at the officer; he fired a webline out of his top hand. The webline caught the muzzle of the handgun, stunning the officer. Spider-Man tugged the webline, making the gun escape the grip of the officer and fall to the ground.
Spider-Man started for the door, running. The Officer saw this and grit his teeth. In an attempt to stop the hero, the officer charged at Spider-Man.
He however came to no avail. Spider-Man made an impressive leap over the officer, narrowly dodging him. Spider-Man made it towards the entrance and quickly fired a webline.
The officer watched as Spider-Man had escaped, kissing his teeth and snapping his fingers in anger, "Fuckin' shit!"
Spider-Man made it back to his apartment. Closing the window behind him. He ordered his suit to turn into regular clothing.
He was mad to say the least. His morning had started like crap and ended like it to. "Even the police. EVEN THE POLCIE IS OUT TO GET ME!" Not thinking at all, he grabbed his camera from his desk and threw it against the wall! It broke into half and fell into the floor.
He collapsed on his bed, clasping his hands together and resting them on his forehead. "Every time I try to do something they take it as a threat! Fuck me I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I'm better than the police!"
He sat upright, realizing that just bickering about it wont get him anywhere . "What's the point. Maybe they're just so mad at me because they can't do their job." He chuckled a little, finding himself funny.
He got out his phone and went into his contacts, scrolling down until he found Sunset Shimmer's name. He smirked, "Maybe she can at least make this day go better."
The Big Man was sitting in his office at Sherman's tower. A tall Accounting firm building. A skyscraper in fact.
One of his men, a common mercenary named Darius came into the office. Coming out of the elevator. He had a worried expression on his face as he was coming in.
He stood in front of Big Man's desk and gulped, "Uh, sir?" He nodded, "I got some bad news."
"What is it?" His voice was nonchalant yet it felt very threatening.
"Well uh.... you remember when you sent Francis and his men to go get some of their, 'Interest' money."
"And?"
"Well... they got arrested."
Big Man was quiet. He wasn't mad nor sad. He wasn't happy either. He didn't care about them anyway, to him they were common bums who just needed to pay him back. "Let me guess, Spider-Man?"
The Mercenary stood there, speechless. It wasn't exactly the most greatest guess but nevertheless his boss was right. He let out a sigh, "Y-yeah, Spider-Man."
Big Man lowered his head a little and closed his eyes. He found himself smirking at the news, even letting out a little chuckle. "Should've known."
The Mercenary looked bewildered. This was a first to him. Seeing his Boss chuckling over the news of Spider-Man taking out one of his quote on quote "moneymakers."
"Uhh, boss."
"Yes?"
"I just said Spider-Man…. got Francis and his men arrested."
Big Man nodded, "Yes. I am aware."
The mercenary arched his eyebrow, "Your not pissed or anything?"
Big Man let out a relaxed sigh and leaned back in his chair. "Nope."
The mercenary was shocked. Never in his life had he seen Big Man act so relaxed and look so care free. "Wh-Why?"
"Because, I'm impressed." said Big Man, "Impressed that this man has somehow single-handedly taken down everyone he encounters. I think he could make a useful addition to our empire."
The Mercenary's shoulders dropped in complete shock. His jaw hung wide open and his eyes widened, "WHAT! Spider-Man working with us?"
"Is that a problem?" The Big Man's smirk faded away and now formed into a frown.
The Mercenary realized that it could be the end for him if he dare spoke back to Big Man so he quickly corrected himself, "NO! No." He let out a sigh, "It's just....I'm pretty sure he has a bad rep amongst everyone in your... 'empire'."
Big Man slightly lowered his head again and closed his eyes for a moment. "I see what you mean." He looked back at the Mercenary, "But after that tantrum he had on camera I think he's pretty much on life support when it comes to--" his lip curled, "Fighting crime."
"A-Are you sure?" The Mercenary asked.
"Are you defying me?"
The Mercenary's eyes widened again. He quickly shook his head, denying Big Man's claim. "No-No."
"Than go make yourself useful and help me.... 'set up a meeting' with him." He moved his chair back and opened his drawer. Rummaging through a few things he grabbed out a piece of paper with an address on it. "I want you to go see Wilkinson." He handed mercenary the paper
"Our arms dealer, why?"
"Get a C4 from him. Once you've done that, go to Magnus Square and blow it up at noon, exactly at twelve. It will garner lot's of unwanted attention yes, but if I'm correct Spider-Man should most likely arrive at the scene. Once there formally invite him here and tell him to meet me at the top floor. Through the ceiling window."
The Mercenary took in all of the information he'd received. It seemed quite odd to him really. It seemed like Big Man was going into a lot of trouble to get Spider-Man on their side. But he didn't want to defy him because god knows what could happen to him if he did.
He nodded, "I'll get it on it right away Boss." He started for the elevator.
