ISSUE #5 CHAPTER 4:Rich, Thick and Creamy!

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Spider-Man let out a webline out of his wrists, following the multiple police cruisers and swat cars chasing an armored truck, entering Caneswirl road. Spider-Man had taken the risky move of trying to compromise two crimes. He'd seemingly think he'd taken down the Enforcers, marking them off the list of criminal pests, but during that whole ordeal, he witnessed as an armored truck was being chased by police vehicles, shooting firearms back at one and other.

Spider-Man had made an even bigger, ambitious and risky move by simply webbing up the Enforcers in hopes that they would stay put and be trapped, hoping that the police would arrive and take them away. He seemed pretty stressed about the whole thing wondering whether or not the police have put them under arrest or if they've escaped. But nevertheless he had this whole ordeal on his plate and he had to put an end to it.

Spider-Man was, baffled to say the least, this was honestly the first time he'd seen so many police cars chase a vehicle, it made him wonder what they'd actually did to get to this point. "Jeez, What did these guys steal? The Moon?! I've never seen so many police cars chasing after a vehicle before!"

Spider-Man arced downward, swinging at the police cars level. Doing his usual routine he briefly saluted them with two fingers before arcing up again and letting go of his webline, firing a new one.

He out sped the police, something he'd done numerous times. Just like the police, he was pursuing the armored truck, the one that was being chased by police. He outstretched both his feet, deciding to make a rather grand entrance into the back of the truck.

Spider-Man, kicked the back doors of the armored truck wide open! Swinging inside, being met by four thugs. Spider-Man clung onto a corner of the cargo space he was in.

"YOU!" screamed one of the thugs.

Spider-Man chuckled behind his mask, "I'm not sure if any of you know this, but I'm kinda the sheriff around these parks!"

"GET HIM!" screamed another one.

Spider-Man leapt down from the corner and onto one of the thugs, lowering the number down to three.

A thug swung at Spider-Man, prompting Spider-Man to catch the fist in his hand, more or less cupping it. He shot some webbing into the thug's eye and kicked him back, shooting some webbing at him. Than his Spider-Sense went off, but it wasn't from any of the thugs, but rather the truck itself.

Unbeknownst to everyone in the cargo space, including the wall crawling hero, the truck took a hard right to the next turn, causing everyone in the cargo space to go flying to their left and slamming into the left wall of the cargo space.

Crates, machine guns, money, everything in the car went flying into the left of the vehicle's cargo space.

Spider-Man, in the process of slamming into the wall, ended up getting a steel container to collide right into his chest, breaking the lid open and having some sort of black goo oozing out all over his costume as he and the rest of the thugs fell to the ground.

Spider-Man got up to his feet and instantly looked to his chest and bellowed at the scene of black ooze on his costume, bellowing at it.

"Eugh!" He grunted, "Talk about rich, thick and creamy! What is this stuff?" He placed his hand on the goopy substance, it felt very squelchy and gooey, moving his hand back, he looked in disgust as the goo stretched out and stuck onto his finger tips.

"Great! Just Great! Now I'm gonna have to wash this damn thing!" Spider-Man let out a sigh.

Spider-Man glanced up, seeing the all unconscious robbers, rolling his eyes he just webbed them up to keep them in place, still not being sure of what they actually stole, not realizing the item they stole was right on him!

Spider-Man crawled out of the cargo space and onto the outer part of the armored truck, to stop the two who were in the front.

One of them noticed Spider-Man and pointed their gun at them, "OH NO!" He screamed, "YOU ARE NOT COMPROMISING THIS OPERATION WEBHEAD! DO YOU HEA--" Spider-Man shot some webbing in his mouth and the muzzle of his gun.

"Yeah! Yeah! Look I don't know what you stole, but whatever it is, the police are gonna have to deal with it!" Spider-Man crawled up the armored truck and gazed at the road. There was an intersection coming up, and judging by the driver, he was gonna go for another hard right, so Spider-Man needed to act fast.

Spider-Man crawled over towards the driver window, it was rolled up, for the reason that the driver also was shooting at the police whilst driving. "Man if I were a real cop I'd deduct so many demerit points off this guy!"

Spider-Man tapped on the driver's shoulder. This prompted the driver to glance at his left, only for him to be met with a punch, square in the face. Spider-Man used the time to fire a bunch of webbing right in front of the vehicle, creating a life sized spider-web which stretched out from one building across the other.

This prompted the police to all hit their brakes and lower speed of their vehicles. Watching as the armored truck crashed into the web, getting stuck onto it.

Spider-Man pulled both the driver and passenger out of the vehicle starting with driver, the thug whom he was closer too and crawling towards the other side of the truck and pulling out the passenger. Tossing both of them on the ground and to the police, who'd all at that point rushed to the scene.

Spider-Man decided to swing off, needing to take care of one more thing, "Hopefully 'The Enforcers' stayed put."

***

Spider-Man made it back to the area in which he'd left the Enforcers, only to stop right in his tracks, they were nowhere to be in sight, instead were a bunch of Police officers and SWAT Officers lying on the ground. His lenses widened, "OH NO!" He rushed over to the officers, making sure the worst hadn't happened.

"Hey!" He began shaking an officer, "Hey you! Are you alive?"

The officer had black hair and two whitish gray stripes going down his hair, he had light purple skin and wore blue shades, the man's name was, Officer Ringo

He woke up, stuttering a little, as his eyes were focusing he found himself looking at Spider-Man, confused he arched an eyebrow, "Uh... Spider-Man?" He sounded almost hesitant, trying to figure out whether he was hallucinating or not.

"Y-YES!" Spider-Man blurted out, "Yeah welcome back to consciousness, now can you tell me what happened?"

Ringo sat upright, rubbing his head, feeling some pain from it, "Gah!" He grumbled, from rubbing what felt like a bump, "Well the police force rushed over here after getting calls about, well you fighting the three wanted in the chain of crimes, We went to arrest them but when we got there they all seemed to be in tip top shape because the big guy of their group knocked everyone out!"

Spider-Man glanced away for a minute, thinking he might have a chance he glanced back, "How long ago did you respond to the calls?"

"I don't know, about 8:50ish!" Ringo replied.

Spider-Man took out his phone from his pocket, opening it up he looked at the time, "Damn it's already 9:15! They've probably already escaped!"

Spider-Man got to his feet and leapt in the air, firing a webline, the fight he'd thought he had won went terribly wrong. Arcing his webline he glanced down back at his chest, still covered in that black ooze. He let out an angered sigh, "Great, just great!"

He decided to swing back to Fisk Towers, "I beat the bad guy's first try and they end up escaping! To make matters worse, now my costume is covered in... well whatever this is!" He glanced down at the ooze again, "Well, might as well get some pictures at Fisk Towers and maybe get some decent paycheck!"

Spider-Man than looked down at his chest, "Well, I might as well take this thing off for now and put it in the laundry bin at home!" Spider-Man changed directions, deciding to swing home as fast possible and take off his costume. In all honesty he didn't even want to see it right now. Not just because it had a grotesque substance on it but also because he couldn't stop The Enforcers. After what happened tonight, he'll consider himself and Spider-Man a failure until he catches them and puts them away for good!

Flash crawled through his bedroom window, closing it behind him. Taking his costume off he threw into his closet and grabbed a black sweatshirt and some tan jogger pants. Putting them on he grabbed his camera and phone. He went over to his night stand and grabbed his keys.

Walking into the living room he walked over to the balcony to see what the road would look like, to no surprise it was busy, Flash sighed, "It's gonna take me ages to get there!" But he was defiant on web-slinging right now, obviously for the reason that, his suit needed to be cleaned and he would be out of his mind if he was gonna do that without the Spider-Man costume.

Then Flash's phone went off, a text message had been sent to him. Taking his phone out, he smiled when he saw the text was from Sunset.

Reading it, it said: "Hey Lightning⚡ Just wanted to know if you're gonna come by or not?"

Flash chuckled a little, unlocking his phone, he texted her back saying: "I just gotta get a few more pictures, but by the looks of it I think I can manage to come by!"

Flash waited as he got response back, only a few seconds later he did, He read it to himself, "Oh... well at least I have something to look forward to, call me when you arrive, k love you!" It had a heart emoji at the end, making Flash smile even more.

"Well.... that makes the both of us." He texted back.

Flash started to feel a lot better after just having a brief conversation with Sunset.
