Where am I?

Load Full StoryNext Chapter

"Ugh, what the hell happened to me?" Asked Spike Drako, a 6 foot 3, 22-year-old college grad, with emerald green eyes and messy spiked hair. He was celebrating his graduation, by traveling the world for a year before he started looking for a job. But right now, he was somewhere unknown to him. He looked around, all he saw were trees and the smallest hints of sunlight beaming down to the ground. Spike was sitting on the ground, propped up against a tree. "Where am I?" Spike tried to rub his head with his hands, but something was off, only half of his head was being rubbed.

Spike looked to his left, he saw his arm, but then he looked to his right. He didn't see his hand, in fact, there wasn't anything past his elbow. "Ahhh!" Yelled Spike, he tried to get up, but the moment he tried to push off of the tree, he fell to the right.

Spike hit the ground, but he was able to mostly catch himself before he got really hurt. 'What the hell, why did I fall?' Thought Spike. It took him a moment to figure out that something was really wrong, he looked at his legs, there he saw his left leg, it was perfectly fine, but when he looked at his right leg, he saw most of it, most being the keyword. Spike was missing everything below his knee. "Ahhh!" Cried Spike as he tried to reel back to the tree. "What the fuck happened to me?!" Yelled Spike, he was now hyperventilating.

Spike looked at his body, he looked at where his arm and leg were supposed to be. His shirt sleeve was torn and covered in blood right at his elbow, but nothing was bleeding, the same goes for his jeans, his lower leg was missing right up to the knee, and the surrounding fabric was torn and covered in blood. But the weird thing was that nothing was hurting.

Spike was sitting on the ground, trying to figure out what the hell happened to him. "Ok, the last thing I remember was falling asleep in the hotel room after arriving in Paris yesterday. I left London on the Eurostar headed for Paris. The train arrived in Paris around lunchtime. Before I went to the hotel, I walked around for a while and enjoyed a nice lunch, after that I found the hotel that Dad overseas business partners arranged for me to stay at for the week. I got there around 2 pm, and I was dead tired, so I spent the rest of the day reading about the area and setting up reservations to explore Paris. I ate at the restaurant in the hotel and had a single glass of wine around 7, then I headed back up to my room and fell asleep in the bed."

But now, Spike was sitting in an unknown forest, surrounded by god knows what in terms of wildlife. He had no source of water, food, or shelter, and to top it all off, he was missing his fucking arm and leg. Which was the most confusing thing that has happened to him in the last day.

Spike took a deep breath to calm himself, he was trying to focus on his survival, and the worst possible thing to do in a survival situation is panic. "Ok, first off, I'm a sitting duck right here, god knows what kind of predators call this place home, and right now I'm just waiting to become leftovers." In truth there was actually a lot to be worried about, most of France can be home to wolves, bears, boars, lynx, territorial deer, and snakes. "I need to find a log or something that I can make a leg out of." Said Spike, he looked around, there were a few trees that had fallen, by a storm or by an animal, Spike hoped it was the former. He continued to look around for a way to cut the wood and a way to tie it to his new leg stump. Luckily there was a large group of rocks the size of his fist, he could chip away at them to fashion a small knife that he could use until he found help. Spike then looked up and nearly cried in joy when he saw a large number of vines hanging on the tree he was under.

Spike smiled. "Ok, step one, make a knife to cut the tree's branches off and use it to reach the vines. Step two, use the vines and the branch to make a rudimentary arm. Step three, use the knife to make a leg so I can get out of here as soon as possible. Step four, find help. If I can get all of that done before I'm eaten, I call it a great day."

"Hello, I heard a voice, I'm here to help if that's ok?"

'Or we just jump to the help part, that works too.' Thought Spike. "Hello, yes, I can't move on my own, I'm against a tree with a lot of vines handing off the branches." Responded Spike.

It didn't take long for the unknown person to locate Spike. But when the two saw each other, there were no words to describe the confusion. Standing in front of him was a girl, a butter yellow colored girl with light pink hair. "Um...hi." Said Spike. This made the girl cry and hide behind a nearby tree, but the tree was thin, and it did a horrible job at covering her.

Spike didn't want her to run away, so he tried his best to calm her down and show he wasn't a threat. "Hey don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you." Said Spike.

The girl peeked at Spike to get a good look at him, this gave Spike a great view of her large blue eyes. "Your not?" she asked.

Spike gave a weak chuckle, he showed his missing arm and leg. "Couldn't even if I tried." Said Spike.

The girl nodded but she remained behind the tree. "Are you ok?" Asked the girl.

Spike shook his head. "Not really, I have no idea where I am, how I ended up here, and where my arm and leg went, how far are we from Paris, France?" Asked Spike.

"France, where's that?" Asked the girl.

Spike sighed. "Ok, that's going to take more time to explain than I want to spend in this forest, let's just skip to the part where you help me, I don't know where I am, and clearly I can't get out of here myself." Said Spike as he showed his arm stump again. "Can you go get some sort of medical professional or someone that can at least carry me somewhere safe?"

The girl gasped, she forgot that she was the one here to help the owner of the voice. That's when she realized that instead of helping, she was just standing there frightened. She looked at Spike with determination in her eyes. "Right, I'm sorry, I'll be right back with Harry." Said the girl, she then extended a pair of butter yellow wings from her back and flew into the sky, heading to who knows where.

Spike dropped his jaw, he just saw a yellow girl with pink hair, who apparently had wings, just fly into the sky. Spike started laughing like a crazy man. "I knew it, this is all a dream, I was probably kidnapped from my hotel room, and they took my arm and leg. This must be a delusion because of blood loss." Said Spike. He looked to the sky. "What the fuck did I do to deserve this?!" Yelled Spike.

Spike sighed as his laughter died to a chuckle. He was feeling tired, everything that has happened really exhausted him. "I don't think this could get any worse." He slowly closed his eyes as he accepted his fate. "I love you mom, dad, thanks for everything, I wish I could have seen you one more time." Said Spike as he passed out.

The area was silent, that was until the girl reached Spike. "Harry, over here, and be careful when you pick him up, we're taking him back to the house." Said the girl as she landed near Spike, followed by a large brown bear. The bear nodded as it carefully picked Spike up bridal style. The bear turned around and started walking back, with the yellow girl hovering right next to it.

She looked at Spike. "Don't worry, I know somepony that can help you."

Author's Note

So, yeah this is my newest story, let me hear what you think. I looked around and there weren't that many Spike displacment stories that have him missing limbs. I know there are stories that have either or but to my knowledge not both.

Earlier I posted about Combustion Man from Avatar, there will not be any bending at all it was just a design question, and I will reference it later when Spike gets his new prosthetics.
