The Theatrical Play

Twilight Sparkle and Luna were now on the left side of the stage. They realized that there were many clothes scattered on the floor, as if somepony had changed while another performed on stage.

Twilight Sparkle was beginning to wonder if it’d had a play in the afternoon or in the morning. But it made no sense.

Twinkle Star told her and Luna that she and the Princess would have a play at midnight. Don’t it have two theater performances on the same day or do it have one? Well, whether or not. She and Luna knew they couldn’t be questioning. Twilight and Luna had to work together if they needed to find customs and catch the thief. What if she and Luna can’t find the clothes and catch the thief? What if the theater ponies were disappointed? Just thinking about it made her nervous.

“Is everything okay, love?” asked Luna worriedly.

Twilight Sparkle realized she was standing in the same spot and was looking worried. She calmed down and looked at Luna with a smile.

“Yes, Luna,” replied Twilight Sparkle. “I’m fine”

Luna looked uncertain. “Are you sure? You had a nervous look”

“Luna, don’t worry,” said Twilight Sparkle. “I’m fine. Really”

Luna didn’t seem to believe that. She looked seriously at Twilight. “Love, don’t hide what you’re feeling”

Twilight Sparkle didn’t want to talk about how she felt, because she thought Luna would think she was worrying for nothing. “Luna, there’s nothing worrying me. Why do you think that?”

“Love…”

“Really, Luna”

They both stared at each other. Luna with a serious look, not believing what Twilight was telling her. Twilight was looking at Luna with a nervous smile as she sweated.

There was a silence in the room, until Twilight decided to break the silence.

“Well, let’s keep searching, Luna?” asked Twilight Sparkle.

Although Luna still suspected her marefriend’s behavior, she decided to accept it. “Ok, Twilight. But I’m keeping an eye on you”

“Of course, Luna,” said Twilight Sparkle.

Meanwhile in a dark place, there was a pony with a black cape. He observed the two customs of the play.

“With the clothes stored in this place, there will be no play,” said the mysterious pony, “and with the clothes here, Twinkle Star will not be able to perform his play”

The pony just played that he forgot to bring other things from the play. “I think it’s better to get the other stuff before somepony sees me”

Twilight and Luna searched the light and sound booth to see if the clothes were hidden there. Twilight Sparkle searched under the table and Luna looked at the stage from far away to look for custom.

Luna had no idea where the customs were. Luna looked at Twilight Sparkle and saw that her marefriend was still looking under the table.

“Love, did you find the customs?” asked Luna.

Twilight Sparkle gave up searching under the table and looked at Luna. “No, Luna”

“Where should we look now, Twilight?” asked Luna.

“Do you know where the spotlight is?” asked Twilight Sparkle.

“Yes, Twilight,” replied Luna. “They stand on the stage”

“Could you go to the spotlight and see if the costumes are there?” asked Twilight Sparkle.

Luna smiled. “Of course, love. Where will you go while I’m looking for the costumes up there and should we meet where in the theater?”

“I’ll go look under the theater to see if the costumes are hidden down there,” replied Twilight Sparkle, “and we’ll meet on stage”

“Okay, love,” said Luna. “I understood”

Luna walked to the door before looking at Twilight Sparkle. “Good luck, love”

Twilight Sparkle smiled. “Thank you, Luna. For you too”

Luna smiled at what Twilight Sparkle said before opening the door and going downstairs. Reaching the stage, she flew into the spotlight and looked around for a hanging suit. Unfortunately, she didn’t find any hanging clothes.

Luna sighed. She looked at a clock that was far away and saw that it was a few minutes to midnight. One thing she knew, was that when Twilight looked at the clock it would freak out.

Luna decided to continue searching for the costumes where she was.

Twilight Sparkle kept searching the light and sound booth and found nothing. She decided to stop searching and go to the stage to go under the theater, also known as the moat. She went to the door and realized it had a lot of stairs. Twilight started down the stairs, careful to not fall. She began to wonder if Luna could find the costumes. Found it or not, Twilight hoped Luna was fine.

When she was done down the stairs, Twilight opened the door with her magic before entering and closing it. She intended to go under the stage now to see if the costumes were there.

Suddenly something fast passed through her. She looked around.

“Hi? Anypony here?” Twilight Sparkle looked around for the running pony.

Again, something went through her. Twilight Sparkle looked left and saw somepony with a black cape. Twilight Sparkle ran after the pony.

“Hey! Stop!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle.

The pony looked back before running faster.

As they ran, the two ponies passed several theater rooms. After running so much, Twilight Sparkle stopped running and sat on the floor. Her ears were down.

The pony Twilight Sparkle was following was far away.

“I need to warn Luna that I saw the thief,” said Twilight Sparkle. “But first I’ll check if the costumes are under the stage”

Upon reaching the stage, Twilight Sparkle saw a door on the floor and opened it with her magic before entering. She realized it was very dark and used her magic to make light. Unfortunately for her, the customs weren’t there. Twilight Sparkle looked at the front door and realized it was locked. Twilight Sparkle started to get nervous and tried to open it. But she couldn’t. She began to panic.

“Luna, help!” Twilight Sparkle knocked on the door with one hoof while the other held on to the entrance.

Outside, the pony that Twilight had chased was holding several keys before putting it on its cover and running away.

Luna was in the same spot as before and she wasn’t finding the costumes hanging. She decided to give up and land on the floor. Now she had to go looking for Twilight Sparkle. Luna intended to wait for Twilight on stage, but she heard a scream.

“Help! Somepony help me!”

Luna recognized the voice. It was the voice of Twilight. She looked around.

“Twilight? Love? Where are you?”

“Luna, you are here! Thanks to Faust. Help me!”

Luna wanted to help Twilight, but she didn’t know where Twilight Sparkle was. “Love, where are you? I am not seeing you”

“I’m down here, Luna,” replied Twilight Sparkle.

Luna looked down and saw a door the same color as the stage. “Baby, are you there?”

“Down here you mean? Yes, Luna. Help me please”

Luna tried to open the door with her magic, but failed. “Love, I can’t open it”

A silence occurred before Twilight Sparkle spoke. “Can you unlock the door with your magic?”

Luna smiled. “It’s not a bad idea, Twilight”

“Do you think you can do it, Luna?” asked Twilight Sparkle.

“I’ll try, Twilight,” replied Luna.

Luna closed her eyes as she carried her magic. She hoped it would work. Luna was an alicorn. She had to make it. Luckily for her, she did it. The door made a noise before the door opened, revealing Twilight Sparkle with a smile before hugging Luna.

“Luna, thanks for saving me,” said Twilight Sparkle.

Luna returned the hug with a smile. “You’re welcome, love”

Twilight Sparkle and Luna left the hug.

“So, Twilight?” asked Luna. “Did you find the clothes down there?”

Twilight Sparkle was sad and her ears dropped. “No, Luna. I have no idea where the costumes are”

The unicorn glanced at the clock to see what time it was and saw that it was eleven thirty at night. She panicked. “Oh my Celestia! Soon it will be time to introduce ourselves and we haven’t found the customs yet and we haven’t had time to rehearse!”

“Calm down, love,” said Luna. “We’ll be able to find the clothes and have time to rehearse”

Twilight Sparkle looked at Luna. “I know, Luna. But I’m afraid it’s disappointing them”

Luna touched something. “Wait. So this why you were nervous? Were you nervous that you couldn’t find the clothes and catch the thief before the play started?”

Twilight Sparkle blew out a breath, her ears were down and she stared at the floor. “Yes, Luna”

“But why didn’t you tell me that, love?” asked Luna, now a little sad that Twilight had hidden her feelings.

“It’s just that I thought I could handle myself,” replied Twilight Sparkle.

Luna approached Twilight and wrapped a wing around her marefriend. “Twilight, I understand you”

Twilight Sparkle looked at Luna in surprise. “Really, Luna? You understand me?”

The alicorn smiled. “Of course, Twilight. Before I was banished to the moon and the ponies enjoyed my night like today, I felt sad. Celestia understood my sadness and wanted to know why I was sad”

Twilight Sparkle was curious. “Why didn’t you tell Princess Celestia?”

Luna was sad now, but it wasn’t aimed at Twilight Sparkle. “Because I would rather keep everything I felt for myself rather than venting to my sister and the result you know”

Twilight Sparkle felt sad that Luna had spoken of her past. “Luna, I’m so sorry that you have to talk about it”

“Twilight, don’t blame yourself,” said Luna.

“Sorry, Luna,” said Twilight Sparkle. “It’s just that I pity you for hiding given what I felt ”

Luna smiled. “No problem, Twilight. Now, let’s return to our search for customs?”

“Yes, Luna,” replied Twilight Sparkle.

“Okay, Twilight,” said Luna. “What are the places we haven’t checked yet?”

Twilight Sparkle thought before answering. “The livong room, the press room and the administrative part”

“Will the costumes be in one of these places, love?” asked Luna.

“I believe so, Luna,” answered Twilight Sparkle.
