Chapters Equestria meets R.J. Macready
In the Everfree forest an mysterious organism is seen assimilating an bird and flying away, its eyes morphing omniously. With a bearded man watching with disgust.
The bearded man said in dismay "You HAVE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!"
Elsewhere, The evil clones of the heroic Elements of Harmony (and Spike as Chrysalis took one of his scales) were seen with their creator Chrysalis and were chattering as to how to deal with the Elements of Harmony and had trekked into the forest to search for the Tree of Harmony. While this happened the scene shifts with the girls and Starlight and Spike walking with them.
Twilight said "Well the retreat looks to be in order, get ready to have fun!"
"You mean fun fun or pretending fun?" Rainbow Dash replied
"Both, we've been busy teaching we hardly had a chance to hang out with each other and I managed to schedule to friendship activities as well!" Twilight said
Spike came in and asked "Is it alright if I come to?, its just been a little too much for me"
Twilight debated and although a bit hesitant said "OK Spike, you've worked hard to and you deserve some break."
And eventually they began to begin their retreat into the forest to be near the Tree of Harmony. Meanwhile, the man in the beard, known as R.J. MacReady was seen loading up his weapons, consisting of a flamethrower, pistol, Shotgun and Sniper Rifle.
MacReady said with a look of determination "Time to send that Thing to hell, forever this time!"
And with that MacReady began to search in the forest for any unusual behaviour. Meanwhile with the Mean six, they had unfortunately accidentally separated during the search for the tree, Mean Fluttershy bullied a bird, causing one to curse at the real Fluttershy (and one was really the Thing, judging by its eyes morphing and the way it was facing the other bird), Evil Pinkie made fun of how the trip was boring and made Twilight think it was the the real Pinkie and Evil Rarity stole a bunch of unnecessary things and hurt Starlight's feelings and Evil Spike ended up vulgarly insulting each of the Main six and Starlight making them think the real Spike did it and accuse him, with Spike in turn angrily accusing the girls of trying to kill him (But it was the evil ones in actuality). Eventually as the real girls, Spike and Starlight met up and reconciled their friendship, The evil clones of the girls and Spike trashed the campsite, but as they did so, Evil Rarity noticed something move and went to check it out with Evil Applejack.
"What is that?" Evil Rarity said to the strange muck, unaware its the Thing
"I can tell you, for five bits" Evil Applejack lied
As they argued, the Thing jumped out and immediately devoured both of them and took the form of Rarity, but instead its coat was much less darkened and had more clean hair and it gave an look of satisfaction before going to track the Evil versions of Pinkie, Rainbow Dash, Twilight, Spike, Fluttershy and Chrysalis. During its trek, it saw the girls and Spike and decided to not consume them, seeing as to how they proved to be of use of it, and left, walking through the woods as a small bird, and eventually reached the tree where it witnessed Chrysalis fighting the Evil Twilight and was knocked out, but as it looked, a loud voice was heard.
"HEY YOU UGLY MOTHERFUCKER!!" An all too familiar voice shouted out
The Thing turned and saw MacReady fire his shotgun repeatedly at it, and the evil clones stopped their fight and gave looks of disgust and horror at the two adversaries engaging in their final showdown.
"What...is..THAT?!" Evil Twilight said in disgust about The Thing.
The Thing and MacReady fought each other with blood lust and hate, with The Thing forming into Evil Rarity and looking similar to the Palmer-Thing that MacReady killed in Outpost 31 and MacReady using his flamethrower and shotgun to suppress the creature and keep it in a weaker state. As they fought, the clones got an idea and Evil Twilight said with a smirk.
"Hey, you wanna make those two our new playmates?"
The rest agreed in their own ways, Evil Rainbow being an uncaring jerk, Evil Fluttershy with sadistic intent, Evil Spike without any level of care or trust and Evil Pinkie with a lack of appreciation. As Evil Twilight said this MacReady got an idea (yet knew he would regret it) and said to the creature with a taunting manner.
"Hey motherfucker!, you want me?!, Come get it!!" MacReady Shouted
And the moment The Thing lunged at R.J., he dodged and the creature instead had lunged at the Mean Six, with Evil Twilight using her magic to control both of them and both screamed out in pain as the evil clones laughed at this, but the moment they were doing the spell, The Thing broke free and slashed at each of them as MacReady watched. Soon, the tree began to glow and drain the Evil clones into nothing but tree logs with Evil Twilight saying before they died.
"Imbeciles, you ruined everything!" Evil Twilight said while melting.
The same thing had began to happen to The Thing, but instead of melting it into nothing, the tree used its magic to completely blow apart the evil creature, spraying its blood everywhere.
"Fuck...it's over...I hope" R.J. said with a tone of hope and wonder.
MacReady decided to leave the area and wondered how he was supposed to get home, but while doing so he saw the (Real) Main 6 and Spike and wondered in shock how they were still alive, but while doing so saw an all too familiar creature closing in on them. Fluttershy immediately saw the deformed creature and screamed in horror so loud the others saw the creature and gave looks of horror.
"WHAT IS THAT THING?!" Rainbow Dash said with disgust and horror
"I think I'm gonna...bleeeeeeeeh" Spike said and vomited at the creatures grotesque appearance.
Twilight, with quick thinking, used her magic to subdue the creature and the rest attacked, but they were met with futility as the creature had extensive resilience from either Twilight and Starlight's magic or the physical attacks from Rainbow and Applejack, as it closed in, Spike breathed his signature green fire, with the flames being too much for the creature as it died and melted. This caused the girls to give sick looks and probably vomit out their lunch at the dead Thing creature.
Starlight asked with fright "What...was that thing?!"
Twilight replied in horror "I don't know but...wait do you hear that?"
The girls heard more sound as it got louder and saw the same creature, but with a dog head
The group once again fought, but when Twilight cut off its two large claws, they formed into large tentacles that held the girls and Spike, even covering Spikes mouth, but as this happened, Spike breathed fire on the creature and freed the girls, but while doing the creature grabbed him and covered his mouth before he could finish off the creature. Just as the creature could kill him, MacReady appeared and fired his shotgun at the creature, subduing it and finished it off with his flamethrower, killing it for good.
After he killed the creature, the girls turned to face him with shock and horror
"Thank you sir, but...who are you?" Twilight said
Equestria meets R.J. Macready
MacReady turned to the Girls and Spike and pulled out his pistol and shouted with distrust
"Get on the fucking ground, you parasitic motherfucker!"
The 8 were left shocked at MacReady and decided that they should try and calm him down.
Rarity, with a look of offense said 'Parasite?!, excuse me sir, but we are ponies!"
MacReady angrily said "DO IT!!"
The 8 decided to obey to not escalate any more hate from R.J. and quickly got on the ground and MacReady took out a blood test machine and put it on each of them, taking blood samples and doing analysis. However Twilight gave a look at MacReady and asked in curiosity
"Um excuse me sir, but what is that and what are you doing?"
"Shut up!" MacReady answered and after that the results were shown. "Alright, your not assimilated"
Spike, with confusion asked "Assimilated?"
MacReady said with clarity "You know that thing you killed?"
Spike responded "Yeah"
R.J. said "They each have to ability to shapeshift, but to do that, they have to kill the original person"
Twilight said in shock "So basically like changelings?"
"What?" MacReady asked
"Their basically a species led by an evil queen that can feed off love and turn into anybody they want"
MacReady said "In that case, yes and no. Look ill answer you...shh do you hear that?"
"..Mac....Ready!!" a shout was heard
The group had turned to face and saw surprisingly an human medic, the 8 were shocked, but MacReady gave a look of suspicion.
"MacReady, we need help the other soldiers are in danger and need transport!"
MacReady, without hesitance, fired his shotgun at him, causing the medic to slowly reveal itself not as a human, but as another creature.
The fake doctor creature then roared and attacked and MacReady and the others had began to attack all around it and MacReady shouted at the girls and Spike
"BURN HIM!!!"
The girls heard him and Spike had breathed his fire breath on the creature and MacReady managed to finish him off with his flamethrower. After the "human" was killed, Applejack asked in shock
"What in tarnation was that thing!?"
"Look, we need to move its not safe here, get your stuff and if possible find a way out!" Twilight said
MacReady also said with a fearful look "Hey, is their any town nearby?"
Spike replied "Yeah, Ponyville, why?"
"We have to get there fast!" MacReady said
"Why?" Fluttershy said
"Because if that Thing reaches there, it's gonna kill everyone!, come on lead the way, HURRY!"
The group heeded and they led the soldier to Ponyville, all the while killing off more of the creatures in the process, Eventually they managed to reach the school and in the chaos, Twilight managed to evacuate the ponies and put them in the school and Twilight was told by MacReady that she was to not let anybody out unless he was told and she complied, fearing the Thing would be too much for her. Eventually the Young Six had come and saw MacReady with Twilight coming with them.
"Hey, Headmare Twilight, who's?..." Sandbar asked and MacReady immidietly aimed his flamethrower at him, frightening the Young Six
"MacReady, stop!" Twilight shouted
"Get on the ground kid, you all as well!, NOW!"
The Young Six complied and MacReady used the blood tester to take their blood samples as he did with the others and saw that they were all innocent until Gallus blood sample reacted oddly and Gallus said with fear as MacReady aimed his gun at him
"Wait, I'm not fake I'm real please!" Gallus cried
"Sorry kid, but it looks like....huh?" MacReady said and the blood tester showed an result and when shown it said it burned out.
"Your lucky this time, it must've taken long since your blood types of your species may have different reactions compared to humans."
Gallus said with relief "Thank you...what's your name?"
"MacReady"
"I'm Gallus"
"Look, you need to go, that Thing might kill you guys, yo kid, can you find separate rooms for everyone, HURRY!. "
"WHY are you so rushed to stop this creature so badly, it can just be for us" Twilight said
"You wanna know, here's your goddamn answer, if it kills everyone, it uses the town to spread more offspring and breed as a way to ensure they don't die out as they need to survive. And if it kills you, it uses your body to create offspring and turn you into another type of creature."
"Then let us help, we killed one"
"Shut up, ps you didn't kill it, the small dragon did, plus if you see him, keep him so somewhere perfectly safe even he can't leave."
"Twilight?"
Twilight and MacReady had turned around and saw three alicorns. These two were Princess Celestia and Princess Luna and Princess Cadance with her husband and thir baby daughter Flurry Heart with a guard (Who acted oddly, which MacReady saw). They looked at Twilight and gave looks at MacReady. Shining saw MacReady and said with distrust
"Who are you?!"
Cadance calmed her husband and said "Stop dear, I apologize, is something wrong"
"Wait, shush....." MacReady said as he moved to the guard
"What?" Luna asked
MacReady saw the solar guards eyes act oddly and suddenly fired his shotgun and the guard ended up roaring violently and grotesquely shifted and turned into Pace, the same creature that was killed by Captain Blake in the previous events when MacReady and Childs survived (not for long for Childs though). Eventually, the bullets that MacReady shot killed the creature.
"WHAT WAS THAT THING!?" Cadence said holding Flurry as she cried
"That's one of the things I'm here to kill, those types have to power to shapeshift, but must kill the original victim to copy them fully."
Celestia said with horror "But, how can it be..."
Rumbling was heard and MacReady saw another creature with U.S army fatigues and saw it was holding more ammo. He shot as it rushed him, but he was out of bullets. Before he could be killed, Celestia and Luna used their magic to incinerate and kill it. After this MacReady said with cynicism.
"How about we talk inside?"

Two soldiers vs a nest with an familiar bug Queen
The two soldiers then began their trek in the Everfree Forest with more heavy weapons. As they were walking, Blake said to MacReady.
"You know it's not right?"
"What?"
"The creatures, they don't breed to spread, they infect others and spread by taking their forms, remember your squad and mine?"
"Yeah, I'm saying breed because they want to increase their numbers and that's in a way the basic way of it."
"I guess that's true but breed is for the terms of pregnancy and mating terms and those Things mostly use the cells of living and sentient organisms."
"Yeah but...hey what's that?"
The two saw a large helicopter and saw it crashed and with the troops all slaughtered with a large amounts of Thing creatures with dog like appearances and saw an insect like equine but she had holes in her hooves and green evil eyes and dark blue hair and insect wings inspecting one of the creatures that appeared to be dead and MacReady said with recognition.
"Hey, i saw her earlier, I don't know her though."
"Looks like she's been assimilated as well." Blake said
"Only one way to find out"
The two then jumped out and immidietly began to start firing their guns at the aliens mutated forms and as most were killed, more kept coming left-hand right. The large queen like bug equine said with rage.
"Who dares interrupt my hive?!"
"Look you crazy bitch, you have to go before those Things kill you!" MacReady said
"Quiet, these creatures have gave me new soldiers then my old one and you apes won't take that from me!"
"Run you idiot, theres a reason their doing that!" Blake warned
"Shut up, you-"
But at that moment, the creatures immidietly jumped at her all at once and killed the queen and formed her again, but this time Chrysalis instead had two large three fingered arms and a mutilated, open head.
"Shit, she's one of them now, get ready!" MacReady said
The now Chrysalis-Thing began to fight the two and as they did so Blake was the offense and fought her while MacReady defended him from the dog creatures all over the nest. As Blake lit the queen on fire, she screamed and roared with pain and as she burned, Blake said to her dead body in a rightful manner
"Hey, looks like your army is after a new meal!"
The creatures in turn turned away from MacReady as he used a flamethrower and he and Blake saw them eat the dead Chrysalis from head to toe and as this happened, Blake implanted a C4 on the helicopter and saw a large immobile creature on the choppers controls trying to absorb it, MacReady saw this and fired his shotgun and threw a grenade saying.
"Fuck you too!"
And at that moment, the chopper instantly blew up and caused a massive explosion all around the area, causing a bunch of flames and shrapnel to spread all over the area and kill the other creatures in the blast radius, even incinerating Chrysalis's body. The two managed to escape the area and saw the damaged aircraft giving a large smoke in the sky as they were leaving. As they left, they saw the remaining creatures and killed them off as well as they reached the forest, with MacReady killing some infected wildlife along the way. After a long, grueling walk to the exit of the forest, they saw the castle with guards all over the place and a barrier all around the two went to the guards who halted them and said
"State your business with the Princess"
"We have a report from the forest and the nest" Blake said
The guards let them inside and saw the Main 6, Spike, Starlight, the princess' s, Sunburst and Shining Armor in the room, Twilight went to them and asked
"What happened to you two?"
"We destroyed the nest, that way they can't kill, spread and assimilate here" MacReady answered
"Anything else"
"Yeah, we saw some female equine with bug like features blue hair, a small crown, green eyes and insect wings that was assimilated" Blake said
"That sounds like Queen Chrysalis" Starlight said
"Who?"
"Queen Chrysalis was the changeling queen, she feeds off of love and attacked us to do so in violent ways, she even did it at my wedding." Shining Armor said with disgust.
"And when she kidnapped us, she tried to kill Starlight, then her and our friend Thorax managed to change her army's view on love, but not her" Twilight continued.
"She must've been there to use the creatures to recreate an new army, that's why she must've tried to use the crash site as a nest before she was assimilated, she didn't know what it really was " Blake said
"That might also explain the pods that the creatures put in the chopper, they must be trying to find new organisms to assimilate, including the wildlife, Chrysalis and also like those dogs we encountered"
"Oh dear the poor things, you didn't have to kill them!" Fluttershy said with horror
"Yeah, we did kid, need I remind you they don't care who's who and all they want is to basically assimilate any organism until they get world domination?" MacReady said
"He's kinda got an point" Spike said
"By the way, what did we miss?" Blake asked
"Not much, me and the girls used that blood test needle you gave us and so far everybody was normal, we even saw a few creatures and me and Spike killed them, we did blood tests and we weren't infected by the cells."
"Ok, and just in case" Blake said and took a blood test needle and injected himself and put some in some vial in his bag in a med kit and MacReady did the same "Me and MacReady might have an immunity to the virus the creature caused and we can probably use it to make an antidote."
Blake handed her two, one with his name and one with MacReady's.
"Be careful, we need to make sure that whoever's infected may possibly be cured with a vaccine"
"Don't worry, I'll do what I can and inform you two"
"Good"
An awkward silence followed and Rarity said
"So what now?"
"How about you two stay" Twiligt offered
"Really?" MacReady said with astonishment
"Yes, but wait what are you good at"
"Well were both good in physical training but also in science when it comes to the creature, but how about a class when it comes to defense, I'll teach it" Blake offered
"I'll teach science and on some if the creature, it's power, strength, flaws and personality, and maybe teach with Blake."
"I'll see what I can do" Twilight said

Two soldiers and a class of friendship students
A few days had passed and there was no sign of any strange activity in neither Ponyville, Canterlot, the Crystal Empire or the Everfree since the nest with Chrysalis was destroyed and during this, the two took time to bond with some of the students with Twilight consenting and letting them teach a class mostly on the creature so she can study it more. As they taught the class Ocellus asked
"Um excuse me Mr. Blake?"
"Yes?" Blake replied
"How is the creature's shapeshifting different then ours?"
"The creature uses stealth tactics when seeing someone and the way they shapeshift is by eating them, basically the original victim must be killed in order for them to be copied by the creature."
A bunch of students gave looks of horror and Sandbar said with shock
"That sounds kinda dark and morbid"
"Tell me about it son, any other questions?" Blake responded
Smolder raised her hand and MacReady said
"Yes?"
"How do we know it's the creature in disguise?."
"There were a few ways we knew, for example they can't copy inanimate objects or jewelry, such as necklaces, earrings, rings, piercings or even possibly in a way makeup."
"The second way is doing blood tests, I'll give you an example with Blake here."
The two pulled out an hypo needle and injected it in themselves, the blood then did no reaction. MacReady then did the same to a dead imitation creature in the form of a soldier he kept away from the class as far as possible and the blood exploded, with Blake and MacReady neutralizing it with their incendiary weapons before any harm was caused to them or the class, leaving them shocked.
"Also be cautious, the only way to damage them is with flammable material, such as electrocution, firearms, literal fire or flames and explosives." Blake said
The class gave looks of either shock, horror or even those of astonishment at the dead creature. Gallus then asked with curiosity
"By the way, why do you two call it the "Thing?"
MacReady with a demoralized or disgusted look said "To be honest, we don't know, we gave it that name because of how disgusting, confusing and elusive the creature can act."
Blake added "Plus, it's not even from OUR planet at all, all we know is that it wants to basically rule the world by spreading itself as a viral disease and me and MacReady are the ones that are immune to the virus."
The students gave looks of shock and MacReady said
"Ok final question!"
Yona asked "Yona want to know how it manage to create so many forms!"
Blake answered " To answer that, the creature has to basically in a way take form of any human or in possibly your case pony, or wildlife and use that as a way to make pods and recreate and copy more of its own organisms. In fact, that crash site me and my friend here went to had a Scuttler pod, they are basically creatures that make Scuttlers, spider-like creatures with a human head from mutations and assimilation of other victims, but the upside is it's immobile and vulnerable to flammable weapons like the other creatures."
Soon the bell rang and the class went out of the room, leaving the two alone for a bit. A few hours later, the two were visited by the girls and were asked if they wanted to hang out later. During this, they had decided to accept them as a thanks for helping get rid of the creature and a nemesis of theirs that had crossed to many lines and they agreed but only if they bring their weapons and the group agreed. As they were seen outside having a picnic, Twilight said
"We can't thank you both for keeping our town safe."
MacReady said "No problem, anything to stop that Thing from making more disgusting problems."
As the group began to eat, Spike suddenly appeared scared and ran to the two.
"Guys, the school, there's something wrong!!"
"Spike, what's wrong?!" Twilight said
"There's a large big sticky thing stuck on a wall trying to kill me, it's inside the classroom those two were teaching!"
The 9 rush to the school and ran into the building with a bunch of students holding the door shut as it tried to break out, one student said
"Hurry, it's really angry!"
The two soldiers saw an vent and went up and traveled through the ducts and dropped in the room and saw an large grotesque monster in the rooms walls.
"Shit, here it comes!" Blake shouted
The creature then began to produce Scuttler pods and MacReady used his flamethrower to kill them as Blake was repeatedly firing his SMG at the creature and as he emptied the weapons, it produced an human and eventually a solar guard pony's torso and tentacles.
"Be careful, those tentacles and the arm have a poisonous venom, don't let it touch you!" Blake said
The two used their guns to kill the tentacles on the creature and the tentacles ended up shattering and Blake said upon seeing the creature reveal it's weak spots
"BURN HIM, NOW!"
MacReady pulled out his flamethrower as did Blake and the two began to incinerate the creature and the creature screamed with pain as the fire burned it and as the fires intensity increased, the creatures melted into nothing and fell on the floor, dead and incinerated.
After the creature was killed, the students came in along with the girls and Spike and Starlight and
"Are you two ok?"
MacReady said "Yeah, but how did that Thing get in here so fast?"
"Me and Starlight saw some of the creatures posing as royal guards in the garden and infect some of the others, we managed to deal with them though and we incinerated them like you said we had to."
"Alright, everyone we are evacuating again, Twilight is everyone still here?" Blake said
"Yes, even the ones that aren't students, their too afraid of that Thing."
"Good, keep the place under lockdown."
The 8 complied and the two humans began to scout the school for any behaviour while the girls did blood tests on the civilians, while doing so, the two didn't find strange activity while the blood tests were once again proven mormal like last time and decided to keep more guards on the area, this time armed with flammable weapons.
The next day, the group was awoken and the girls were seen outside teaching the class, but they were too paranoid to do so out of fear of the creature. Twilight hopes that along the way they find the source, unaware of an young filly planning a heinous plan

The two soldiers were tasked with getting rid of the creatures that had lurked in the school and to make sure to save anyone in harm's way. MacReady and Blake started to trek in the building from the top floor to the bottom floor and killed off a few creatures along the way.

The two started off on the first floor and cleared up any hallway and classroom and began to descend alk the way to the top floor to check and clear the building. The last place the two haven't checked is the library and saw an hole inside one of the sections.
"Blake!, you may wanna see this."
Blake, who was killing an fake guard, arrived and saw the hole and the Thing's tendril crawling in the hole
"Lets keep following"
The two jumped inside and put on night vision goggles and saw a large number of dead bodies of dead royal guards and surprisingly a few humans had been brutally eaten and mutilated and assimilated.
"My god.." MacReady said in shock and disbelief.
"Hey, MacReady!"
"Yeah?"
"I found your friend, Childs"
"Shit, lets keep moving" MacReady said
They continued their search for the nest and reached two entrances.
"Which way you wanna go?"
Suddenly a scream was heard and it was coming from the left side and the two rushed inside and when they reached the screaming identity in question, and saw the Young Six being held against their will by a large grotesque creature on the ground, it appeared to have an mutilated human body on side and a large mouthed tentacle on the other and held them in place and prepared to eat them.
The two grabbed EMP grenades and threw them at the creature, stunning it and letting the six go free and Blake said with alarm
"Go, we'll deal with this Thing!"
"Yeah ok" Sandbar said
The six went to the tree and began to glow while the two fought off the creature, the creature then was slowly starting to melt and MacReady and Blake used their flamethrower to incinerate the creature and the creature ended up roaring in pain as it melted, however it disarmed Blake and was about to eat him but Smolder said
"Hey ugly!, eat this!"
She drew her fire breath and it let Blake go and allowed him and MacReady to finish it off, melting the creature into nothing as they fired their flamethrowers.
"Thanks!" Ocellus said
"No prob, lets get the hell outta here!" MacReady said.
"And stop a tyrannical child and save Twilight and her friends" Gallus said
The 8 began to find a way back to the school and along the way were covered by Blake and MacReady from more of the other creatures. This time it was the dog beasts that the two had encountered when they were searching for the nest and in the process killed Chrysalis, who had been assimilated. When they managed to reach the school and free Starlight, they were also joined by the students into stopping Cozy Glow, who realized that Chancellor Neighsay was innocent. They then managed to gain their helping stopping her and cornered her along with an angry Main 6 and Spike.

"But I still don't understand why?" Twilight asked
"Why?! Because friendship is power! You might be the Princess of Friendship, but as Headmare off this school, I can collect way more friends then you!"
"Your The one that doesn't get it Cozy, Friendship is powerful, but power isn't why you make friends, I'm sorry I couldn't teach you that.
Gallus said "Well,you taught us"
Silverstream added "You can't let one bad apple make you think you failed"
Sandbar said "And we never could've stopped her if we hadn't learned what you taught us in friendship."

She jumped to escape but was blocked by a large amount of ponies
"Yeah I don't think so" one student said
Cozy rushed to another location but was immidietly shot in the back by MacReady. This left the whole crowd horrified and shocked, while Blake looked silently horrified. Twilight even gasped in shock and horror at the gruesome sight.
Fluttershy went over to her saying "Hold on Cozy"
But she was halted by MacReady before she could proceed more and he said "DON'T TOUCH HER!"
Fluttershy scrambled and hid behind Applejack and the girls saw an blood covered MacReady and Blake heading their way. Twilight shouted
"MacReady!!, you had no right, she's only a!-"
But she was cut off as he replied in annoyance "Shut up!!"
Twilight's jaw dropped upon seeing how beaten and blood covered the two were and as this happened Celestia, Luna and Neighsay arrived and said with horror to MacReady and Blake
"MacReady, what have you done?!" Celestia said in horror
"Princess......help....please" Cozy said in pain and tears
Celestia moved as if to assist but was prevented by MacReady.
"No, you idiot she's infected!, there's a bite on her!"
"Please...I..." Cozy said in tears, with a line of blood coming out her mouth
MacReady, however gave a dark look and simply fired his flamethrower at her, causing her to scream in agony and her screams eventually turned from a sweet child into the screeches of a monstrous alien who melted into a small puddle of blood. The whole audience was left silent as the crowd gave looks of shock and sadness, the princesses with horror, the girls, Spike and Starlight with disgust and pity and Blake and MacReady with looks of impenitence.

Equestria meets R.J. Macready
As the crowd of ponies continued to look on the dead filly, the ponies went over to MacReady and Blake and Twilight said with remorse
"She didn't have to die"
"I know, but there wasn't any other way" Blake said with honesty
"Yeah, but still, we could've cured her...somehow"
"Oh...and have YOU found a cure whatsoever?" MacReady said
"...No"
Twilight gave a sad look at the dead Cozy Glow and before anything else could happen, gigantic footsteps were heard and everybody turned and saw an all too familiar centaur approach and Twilight recognized him and said as she and the whole crowd got in a fighting like position.
"Tirek!, what are you doing here!?"
Tirek didn't speak, merely twitching his eyes
"What is your business Tirek?!" Celestia said
Again, Tirek didn't answer, acting oddly.
"Why is Tirek acting like an idiot?" Rainbow Dash commented
"And why isn't he even moving?" Applejack noticed
MacReady suddenly noticed fragments of his skin was pulsating and saw a tentacle out of his back and in horror shouted to the entire group
"SHIT!!, HE'S BEEN INFECTED!, EVERYBODY RUN AND HIDE SOMEWHERE SAFE, BEFORE HE ASSIMILATES YOU!!!!"
"EVERYBODY GET TO COVER!!!" Blake said
And the moment they shouted, Tirek began to pulse in flames screaming and roaring and mutate into a hugely horrendous creature that was far more taller and appeared to look like a mutated plant like creature. The Two humans repeatedly fired their weapons at the now mutated villain, but their weapons proved not to be effective on ground level.
"Shit, we can't hurt him on the ground, we're gonna have to use the same strategy last time." Blake said
"Yeah, one problem, we don't have any aerial vehicles to damage him!" MacReady reminded
"How about us?" Luna suggested
"What?"
"Me and Luna can fly you up there and you two distract him while the others create explosives we can all use to damage him" Celestia said
"Good idea, now let's hurry!!" Blake said
Blake got on Luna's while MacReady got on Celestia's and were flown up directly, Blake using an M60 and MacReady using a M60 but with a scope and kept the large creature at bay while the other students and Twilight, Neighsay and Starlight both used their magic to recreate explosive barrels and placed them all across the creature, with Applejack hitting one and landing it in its torso while Rainbow Dash threw one at it's midsection as Spike opened it near the creature and ignited the oil line leading up to the open explosive barrel. Spike uses his magical fire breath to ignite the barrels and the other open fuel lines, setting the creature on fire as MacReady and Blake kept on firing their weapons.
"Its working, keep doing it!" Blake shouted
The process continued and as they did so, the monstrosity slowly began to incinerate and the heroes continued this process as Cadance, Shining and surprisingly Flurry blasted the explosive barrels near the creature and tried to keep incinerating its body from the bottom while MacReady and Blake fired on the barrels stuck in his torso in the air at the top. The flames consumed the large creature to the point where it screamed and roared in rage and pain and the creature was covered in flames all around as the heroes continued to shoot the barrels all over it's body. Eventually the creature attempted to retreated but MacReady, Blake, Twilight, Celestia, Cadance, Shining, Luna and all the students fired explosive barrels and personally lit the grotesque creature on fire, where it melted and was ultimately on the ground lifeless. When Celestia and Luna got down, MacReady and Blake got off and took some of the barrels and doused the creature in petrol, as they were doing so, Celestia asked in confusion as they covered the monster
"What are you two doing?"
"Finishing the job" Blake said
And at that moment when they decided they used enough and moved an piece of petrol near the school entrance, MacReady tried to use his Molotov , but the flame was out, Blake tried with a lighter, but it wouldn't start. MacReady asked with dismay
"Can anybody use fire?"
"I can" Spike answered
"Can you come here where I'm standing?"
Spike did so and stood next to MacReady, who said "Can you light him up?"
"What, are you sure?, won't that destroy the school?" Spike said fearfully
"Hurry, he's gonna regenerate!"
"Ok, ok!" Spike said who used his fire breath.
The fire traveled all the way to the fuel line path leading to the body of the downed creature, who was lit on fire and burning to death and screaming and kicking as it was being incinerated to its demise. As the creature was burning, The two were told by Princess Celestia
"Thank you two very much for protecting my little ponies and subjects from that creature, you gave each of our eternal gratitude" she said as the whole crowd gave them claps and smiles of approval as the two merely gave grim looks to the dead creature, which didn't go unnoticed by Celestia.
"Is something wrong?, you two stopped an hostile creature from causing harm to the citizens of Equestria."
"......No, we haven't" MacReady said in dismay
"HUH!?" the whole crowd said in shock
"But we all just kicked a big one's flank!" Rainbow Dash said
"That Thing might be dead now, but it'll come back" MacReady said with disdain while still looking at the dead Tirek-thing.
"He's right, it always comes back and that's why we have to be ready" Blake supported
"Then we can assure you two that whenever it strikes, we'll all be at your side."
"Yeah!" The crowd said with acknowledgment.
"Thanks" MacReady said, turning to them with a small smile.
"You know what this calls for?" Rainbow said
"LET'S PARTY!" Pinkie Pie said.
And at that moment, the whole crowd went to the School of Friendship to have a party, with MacReady and Blake joining out of kindness. Unbeknownst to them, the creatures body slowly twitched and it's human body on the side slowly opened its eyes.

Equestria meets R.J. Macready
In a distant future, It had been years since MacReady and Blake had came in the land of Equestria and stopped the Thing and it's mutations. As a now grey bearded MacReady was seen in the School with a now older, bearded Blake, the two were made the schools bodyguards and eventually teachers should the creature ever attack, which it did, but failed and was presumably wiped out when Twilight used the immune cells in Blake and MacReady to make a vaccine along with using the blood tester. The Thing, despite being gone, its fate was left unknown.
The two had begun to start their new lives, although both were paranoid the creature would return, they both would always be ready with their new friends and family. The two even joined the Elite rank of Twilight's royal guard and MacReady was now a Captain, while Blake became a Colonel. To better increase the soldiers training and expertise, the two humans trained them each in warfare for every terrain such as jungles, snows, deserts and CQC (Along with surprisingly Spike, as Blake thought he needed to get more exercise and had to defend himself. Not to mention, bonding with him more during a friendship mission Spike had). As life had began to continue, MacReady looked aged and older, but more fit.
"Man. you look old" a voice said
MacReady turned around and saw Blake, now with a beard similar to MacReady's, as MacReady gave an annoyed look and said
"Screw you too."
"Dude come on, you look like fucking Ego from Guardians of the Galaxy."
"No shit, now come on, we got work to do"
The two walked out and as they were walking they saw an now aged up harmonic Twilight Sparkle in the same appearance as her mentor Celestia and a now buffer and older Spike.
"Well, who do we have here?." Twilight asked in an amusing tone of sarcasm as she stood on her throne with a now older Spike
"Hey pops!" Spike said to Blake
Prior to the day the Thing was killed, Blake had chosen to adopt Spike after the two bonded during a friendship mission, as Spike told Blake about himself and bonded with him. Blake decided to adopt him as his son and despite Twilight's jealousy, she eventually respected Spike's wishes and consented with tears. As he spent time with Twilight and her family, he softened to them and even bonded with Flurry Heart, this made him realize that in spite of not being able to return home, he wouldn't lose his own future.
"Hello son!, how's your training?" Blake said, with Twilight give a smile of dismay.
"It was great, MacReady even taught me a few new tricks!"
"Good, did you do ALL the training?" Blake asked
"Yes dad" Spike said
"ALL OF IT?"
"Yes dad, in fact 3 of the guards hurt their hooves trying to hit me."
Blake, with a look of recollection, nodded and turned to Twilight and said
"So, what's the memo?"
"Well, my student here thought friendship was a waste" Twilight said pointing to the unicorn behind them.
"Well, friendship looks more like a distraction then anything else and ultimately us a waste of time."
"What?!" Spike said
"Some friendships take time and have to develop and there are complications, they can be messy and never go how you plan, I realized that it took time to navigate and might not last forever.
"Yeah, I mean take me and MacReady for instance" Blake added
"You two?" Luster Dawn said
"Yeah kid, we both initially in a way acted like hostile because of a specific THING but we realize that we shouldn't let that get in the way of our friendship."
"Not to mention that our friendship was messy, and not in the metaphorical way either," MacReady said, causing Twilght and Spike to giggle.
"How so?"
Blake gave a hesitant look but complied and said "Well..."
(Flashback)
It was in the Antarctic and a much younger looking Blake was seen infiltrating the outpost in the cold with a two more soldiers, Carter and Cruz, who were found when Blake was sent to find out what happened to Alpha Team in the area as they were searching, they found a building and hid while killing some of the creatures.
"Fuck, they're everywhere!" Carter said as he killed a few Scuttlers
"What the fuck are they?!" Cruz said while shooting
"Keep shooting!" Blake said while firing his SMG.
Eventually, the area was cleared for now and the three fought their way to Captain Pierce, who was hidden in the supply depot. Who ordered Blake to get blood test hypo and he did and the moment the blood test was done, Cruz and Carter had turned and attacked.
"SHOOT!, SHOOT!" Pierce shouted while firing at the now assimilated soldiers.
(Flashback stop)
"Wait, but how does this involve MacReady?" Luster Dawn said
"I'm getting there." Blake said
(Flashback continued to final boss)
"Keep shooting!" the pilot said as Blake continued to fire the current at the barrels near Whitley-thing.
The creature was finally killed as it was lit aflame from the explosive barrels near its massive form and Blake then asked " Who are you?"
The pilot answered "Name's MacReady" as the chopper left and flew away from the outpost
(Flashback end)
"After that, we managed to stop whoever was willing to capture and use the creature for experiments."
Luster Dawn said "Why?"
"Because if that Thing got out loose and hurt anyone, it would not just be our faults, it would also destroy the ENTIRE planet. Me and him bonded after we realixed that even though we didnt knkw each other, we still had to stop it and we were basically the heroes of the story." MacReady added
"Wow" Luster Dawn said
Just then the girls came in the room.
"Hey, Twilight, hey Spike" They all said, ready to start their futures as the screen cuts black as MacReady and Blake joined

After the ordeal, MacReady and the royals had went inside and along them came both the other 5 and Spike, Starlight, Sunburst and surprisingly the Pillars led by Starswirl. Twilight told Starlight and the others but Spike to stay out as MacReady spoke to them. When they reached Twilight's office, Princess Celestia then said and introduced herself
"I don't think we have been properly introduced, my name is Princess Celestia the Sun Princess, there is my sister Princess Luna, the Night Princess."
Shining Armor said "I am Prince Shining Armor of the Crystal Empire, this is my wife Princess Cadance and my daughter Flurry Heart."
Twilight said "I am Princess Twilight, the Princess of Friendship"
MacReady gave an look of utter bafflement, but rolled with it and Pinkie suddenly appeared
"HIIMPINKIEPIEWHATSYOURSDOYOULIKEPARTIESWHATSPECIESAREYOUAREYOUFROMANOTHERTOWN-"
Twilight immidietly out her hoof in her mouth and cut Pinkie off and MacReady gave a look of confusion.
"Don't ask" said Twilight
"Ah'm Applejack, one of the owners of Sweet Apple Acres and the best apples in Ponyville" Applejack said
"A pleasure to make your acquaintance darling, I'm Rarity, owner Carousel Boutique."
"I'm the one and only Rainbow Dash , the fastest flyer of all time and soon to be Wonderbolt"
"I...I'm Fluttershy"
"I'm Spike, Princess Twilight's No.1 assistant"
"My name is R.J., I'm a helicopter pilot for the U.S army that basically is a group that fights to protect from bigger threats then others like this one."
"Well, with that settled, may we ask as to what you and that thing are?" Celestia said
"Me, I'm a human and for that Thing, I can't really say much from having the ability to imitate or shapeshift."
"Why?"
"Because I don't know what it is either, but what I can tell you is to butt out to keep you safe"
"You will treat the Princess with respect creature!" A guard said poking MacReady with his spear and MacReady immidietly pointed his flamethrower at him and said menacingly.
"Hey horseshit, poke me again and I'll bbq your ass for dinner like that other fuckface guard I encountered!" This caused the guard to give a frightened look, causing the other guards to take aim.
"Stand down!" Celestia said
"But Princess, he.."
"Stand...down" she said firmly
The guards stood down and lowered their spears and MacReady lowered his weapon, but then flicked the guard to ground with amusement, much to the guards dismay.
"Now back to the matter, why can't we help?"
"Because, if that Thing kills you, it'll steal your power, form and imitate you in order to breed more offspring."
"Yes but these are my subjects being threatened, I must help."
"Too bad, the last thing I'm pretty sure we all need is for that Thing is not only gaining your-"
A knock on the door was heard and Twilight said
"Who is it?"
"A friend of MacReady"
Twilight, although reluctant, complied and opened the door and an all too familiar figure came in.
"Blake?" MacReady said in awe
"MacReady?, how'd you come in here?"
How these two had met?, during Blake's infiltration in the Antarctica camp, he too encountered the creature and had to kill them all as well as his own teammates one by one due to the Thing assimilating them. These two teamed up to kill Colonel Whitley, who wanted to use the creature to produce bioweapons and injected himself with its blood, turning him into a monster. Luckily, with the help of MacReady, they both managed to kill the mutated Whitley.
"No clue, you?"
"Same, but bad news.."
MacReady cut him off "Let me guess, that Thing is here?"
"How'd you know?"
""I had to kill some on the forest, by the way was there anybody else with you?"
"No, only that Thing that killed off some wildlife in the crash site"
"Crash site?" MacReady said
"While I was falling in the forest, for some reason I saw a crashed chopper near and get this, it was from Whitley's men."
"Ok, I can't take it, what are you two talking about?!" Rainbow Dash said
"You know how I said I'm with the army?"
"Yeah?"
"So was he and it turns out that his superior wanted to use the creature and it's power in order to create more weapons and possibly also because he wants to cure his cancer" MacReady answered
"Not only that, but the helicopter crash ended up causing some of the creatures to use it as some sort of nest so that way they can use it to prepare for breeding and increasing their offspring by assimilation. Just like it did to the ones onboard." Blake added
"Wait, hold on, what's a helicopter?" Twilight asked
"Its a flying machine that works by gas and engines that help it go up and the large sharp propellers help it increase the altitude"
"Wait...does this "helicopter" look black and have some guys in black suits?" Spike asked
"Yes why?" Blake said
"Oh no, that might explain what i saw earlier, that's why those creatures attacked, we were near their nest!"
"What?!, do you know where?" Blake said
"So do I, I put a tracker in their location, when I killed some of them." MacReady revealed an GPS
"Ok, you all stay here, we'll deal with the creature and get rid if the nest."
"No!, we can help convince it and..." Twilight said, but Rainbow cut her off
"Twilight, no offense but I don't think those Things care, in fact you remember what happened" Rainbow Dash pointed out
"Yeah, plus one of them almost killed us until MacReady came" Spike added
"But" Twilight said
"Look kid, we know you want the peaceful way, but sometimes in times like this, that's not always the way things will always work" Blake said
"Yeah, plus if you were assimilated back there, I don't think you would come back from that" MacReady said
Twilight however stood firm but immidietly backed down upon seeing the two humans aim their weapons at her causing the other ponies to get ready to fight, but they stopped when the GPS said
"Location traced go North"
"Look, your all staying and that's final, Capiche!?" Blake shouted, now more dead serious
"...fine" Twilight complied
"Plus if if makes you feel better, you can use this"
"A needle?"
"No, it's a blood test hypo, you use it to text blood to see if the person is really that person or a fake imitation from the creature."
"...ok"
"Thanks, and by the way, I need another thing..Spike?" MacReady said
"Yes?"
"Stay protected at all times, your fire breath is an emergency power we can use since the creatures hate flammable related material"
"Ok"
