Chapter 11: I am a DAD?!!!!

Last time where we left off, both Twilight and Dayman were seen entering the Everfree where they meet Tempest Shadow who is an agent of the *Church of the Red Star* as they learn a bit more about the group and Crimson Star. As well as have a run in with a couple of timber wolves to which they defeat along with a larger wolf who was glowing a black and blue aura and upon defeating it came out a blue and black ball of aura as it floats toward the human who upon touching turns it into a baby.

Which is where we continue right now….

3rd POV

The baby filly seems to giggle happily toward the human who is still shocked beyond belief as both Twilight and Tempest are also shocked as well.

“How is this even possible?” asked Dayman as he touches the child in the cheek with his index as the child spots the appendage and proceeds to grab onto it with her small little hands.

The action that was so adorable as she begins to let out small coos as Dayman was beginning to smile at the baby Alicorn.

“This is unbelievable, Nightmare Moon was supposed to be destroyed but is now a baby.” Said Twilight as the baby in question turns to her as she gets a scared look on her eyes and hides into Dayman’s chest.

Soon Tempest approaches the child as she proceeds to rub her finger onto the child’s cheek getting her attention as the baby alicorn turn to her and began to reach out for her as Tempest got closer to her only to receive a boop to the nose as Tempest goes cross eyed at this. This causes both the baby alicorn and human to snicker in unison as Tempest had both hands on her nose as while trying to not scrunch up her nose.

“Though there is still the matter of what to do with her.” Said Twilight as Dayman looks at the child again a memory then flashes in his mind as he remembered holding onto a baby version of his little sister Sophie from the past as a fond smile formed on his face as he held onto the child as the baby smiled happily at being this close to her

“Why not take care of her?” asked the human as Twilight looks at him with wide eyes.

“Are you crazy?!!! If you have forgotten that this is Nightmare Moon were talking about the very being that tried to bring an eternal night and nearly tried to kill you.” Berated Twilight as Dayman looks at her with a serious look on his face.

“Yes, I know, and I believe this would be a chance for her to lead on the right path. Let me remind you that the only reason why this happened was because of how ponies badly treated Luna, and the shadow demon took advantage of that and turned her into her darker half. Plus, I don’t really sense any evil from her in fact all I sense is Luna’s magic emanating from her as and a bit of the red core as well.” Said Dayman as he looks at the new sleeping baby alicorn who snuggles on to the human’s jacket.

“Still, this is strange that a remanent of Nightmare Moons magic would turn into a living child though I wonder if the red cores power may have done something to do with that?” wondered Tempest as Twilight also began to wonder about that as well.

“She does have a point. But anyway, how are we going to explain this to Celestia and Luna. Or to the rest of our friends if others found out that Nightmare Moon is now a baby ponies will flip out once word gets out.” Said Twilight as Dayman sighs at this.

“You do bring out a good point, but I am sure things will be alright besides can really look at this cutie here and call her dangerous?” he said presenting the baby alicorn as she cutely slept onto his chest as Twilight couldn’t help but agree as she smiled at the adorable baby.

“*sigh* okay you got me there.” Said Twilight as she rubs the head of the baby alicorn as Tempest clears her throat.

“Sorry to disrupt this very adorable moment, but I must be going now. I must meet up with the group and report back about our meeting, but don’t worry if you wish to speak to me again just use this.” She said before giving out the same medallion with the same 5-pointed red star on it in the form of crystal as Dayman accepts it.

“Simply channel your power onto it and it will pinpoint you to the location of where we will meet again.” She says as Dayman and Twilight nod at her as she bows to the two of us before walking away.

“Tempest!” said Dayman as Tempest stops for a moment before turning her head to him.

“Maybe next time we meet we could hang out and possibly train a bit that is if your up for it.” Said the human as Tempest was silent for the moment before smiling at him.

“That would be wonderful, see you then.” she says before lighting up her horn as she teleports away from the group.

“Well now that that is done, we should probably head back home to the library Spike must be worried sick about us. Plus, this forest is not safe for a baby on board.” Said Dayman as he rubs the child’s head who coos at his touch as she cuddles on his chest as Twilight giggles at the sight of them.

“If I hadn’t known you better, I would have thought that you were already a dad.” Said Twilight as she and Dayman walk down path back to Ponyvile as Tempest watched from a far as she stood from the top of a tree as she smiles at the two and the little one Dayman was carrying for she knew that things will were about to get interesting.

Meanwhile…

Spike was pacing back and forth inside the library as a part of him was worried about Twilight and his bro Dayman as sometime had passed causing him to become even more worried about the situation at hand. As a part of him wanted to go into the Everfree and save them but knew he couldn’t do much with just his fire breath. He had also told one of the ponies like Rainbow Dash who crashed into the library literally as she rushes out to get the girls, Spike had also notified Celestia about the letter Dayman had received and had yet to receive anything from her for some time now. Just then the door opened as Spike turned around to see Dayman and Twilight as he rushes toward them and proceeds to hug them tightly much to their surprise.

“Oh, sweet Celestia you guys are back. I was worried that something happens to you two when you two hadn’t come back for some time and…uh is that a baby?” said Spike as he pointed at the little bundle of joy who was currently sleeping onto Dayman’s chest as he held onto the little alicorn.

Both the human and purple unicorn had nervous looks on their faces for they were not sure how as to how to explain this especially since the child was created with the remnants of Nightmare Moon and came into existence thanks to red core.

“Well Spike…Let’s just say some stuff had happened when we went to the Everfree.” Said Twilight as Dayman nodded.

But before they could explain any further the sound of someone screaming was made along with a loud crashing sound followed by the sound of the door being slammed open as the other 4 mares arrive.

“Dash again?” said an unamused Applejack as Dash got up from the floor while shaking off from the floor and some pieces of broken glass as well.

“Girls? Why are you all here?” questioned Dayman as the other 5 mares looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

“We got word from Rainbow Dash that you and Twilight headed into the Everfree and had not returned for some time now.” Said Rarity as Pinkie popped beside him.

“Yeah, we were just about to meet back here for some more information from Spike. But I guess we don’t have to since you guys are back.” Said Pinkie though she notices the little bundle of joy who was waking up from her little nap.

“Oh, is that a baby?” said Fluttershy who got closer Dayman as she examines the child as the baby alicorn smiles at the yellow Pegasus mare.

Soon the other mares take notice of the child as they all awed at how adorable the child was though they all went wide-eyed once the baby flapped up her small wings and small little horn on her head.

“Is that a-…” said Dash with a trembling finger as Dayman let out a sigh as he took a quick glance at the baby alicorn who proceeded to say one word…

“PAPA!”

Soon the other mares had wide-eyed expressions once they heard as they all looked at Twilight who shrugged as Dayman proceeded to close the door before looking back at the girls.

“Yeah…I think you all should sit down for this for there is a lot to explain.” He said as they all look to each other before nodding at him as they all sat around the carpet.

Soon Dayman and Twilight began to explain what had happened when they went to the Everfree as well as explain the reason as to why they were there. Once the explanation was over the girls could not help but look at the baby alicorn with a raised eyebrow as she sat on top of Dayman’s laugh with a smile.

“So your saying that after meeting this agent name Tempest Shadow, you encountered a Timber Wolf who was corrupter by a blue orb which is a remanent of Nightmare Moons power and after you used your red core power on the orb then it turned into that baby that is sitting in your lap right now?” said Rainbow Dash as Dayman nods at her as the other girls looked at each other not knowing what to say.

“That still doesn’t explain why she called you papa big bro.” said Spike as Dayman rubs the back of his head sheepishly.

“To tell you the truth Spike I am not sure either though I honestly don’t mind.” Said Dayman as he rubs the baby alicorns head who giggled at his touch before latching onto his metal glove.

“Still its hard to believe that the baby was that big meanie Nightmare Moon.” Said Pinkie who popped beside him as she does some funny faces to the little alicorn who giggles cutely at her.

“But are you sure about this? I mean taking care of a child is one thing but taking care of a child that was once Nightmare Moon may bring some problems along the way.” Said Rarity as Dayman shook his head.

“She may have been created with the remnants of Nightmare Moons magic but that doesn’t mean that she will become Nightmare Moon in the future. Plus, I don’t sense any dark energy from within her in fact all I sense within her is Luna’s magic flowing within her.” He said as a thought came into his and Twilights mind to which they both face palm.

“Great we forgot about how Princess Celestia and Princess Luna will react once they hear about the baby.” Said Twilight as Dayman nodded at her.

“Maybe once you explained the situation, they might understand what happened. And I will admit she looks adorable.” Said Fluttershy who tickles the baby alicorn as she giggles at her.

“I just hope that they don’t freak out. Especially Princess Luna, though I do admit this will be a first for me since I haven’t taken cared of a child in a long time.” Said Dayman as all eyes were now on him as he cradles onto the baby alicorn who smiles at him.

“Dayman did you…have a kid back on your world?” asked Dash as Dayman looked up to her and shook his head.

“No, but I did have experience taking care of an infant when I was a boy.” He says as this surprises the mares within the room though not as much as Twilight and Spike as they proceeded to imagine a younger Dayman caring a human baby.

“By the way, Spike have you heard anything from Princess Celestia?” asked Dayman as Spike shrugged at him.

“Sorry big bro, but I haven’t. Which is weird since she doesn’t take this long to respond to any of the messages, I sent to her.” Said Spike as both Twilight and Dayman raise an eyebrow at this.

Just then a bright flash was made as the sudden flash startles the people within the library and as the light fades everyone is shocked to see none other than Princess Celestia.

“I apologize for not responding to you sooner I was in a meeting with the other nobles that took a lot of time that I finally got your message and-…” said Celestia as she was then cut off at the sound of a baby crying as she looks over to the source of the sound only to go wide-eyed at the sight of the baby alicorn in Daymans arms as he tries to calm the infant down.

“Shhhh there there. Don’t cry. Don’t cry its alright…its okay.” said Dayman as holds onto the baby alicorn as it begins to calm down as it takes a look at the sight of Dayman and begins to smile.

“Papa!!”

Said the baby alicorn as this had Celestia completely wide-eyed as Dayman holds onto the baby alicorn before looking back at Celestia as the human lets out a deep sigh before speaking to her.

“I have a lot to talk to you about so I might as well start from the beginning.” Said Dayman as he gives a run down as to what has happened when he and Twilight entered the Everfree.

Meanwhile…

In another location far from Ponyvile and the Everfree Forest we see Tempest Shadow walking down a path as she recollects on what had happened. From meeting the descendant of Crimson Star, to fighting along side with him, and having to witness his skills in action along with the power had when facing the corrupted Timberwolf. Tempest had been amazed at what Dayman was capable of, though a part of her mind also noticed how brave he was when facing the corrupted Timberwolf as the memory of that moment caused her to go red in the face. She immediately shook her head trying to calm herself down knowing full well who was thinking about.

“Why am I thinking this way? My job is to assist Crimson Stars descendant nothing more I shouldn’t be thinking this way.” She said to herself as she manages to calm down and arrives to her location.

Which was the cathedral church as she enters the building where group of individuals were there dressed in robes as one of them with a wooden staff and medallion with a 5-pointed star as he stood before Tempest for this was none other than Elder Red who was the guide to the members of the church of the red star.

“Ah Tempest, I see you have returned from your assignment. I take it that you had made contact with Crimson Star’s descendant, correct?” asked Elder to which Tempest nodded at him.

“Yes, though he wasn’t alone he appeared to be accompanied by the bearer of the element of magic Twilight Sparkle. And then revealed everything about the organization to the both of them and had handed the elemental gem to Dayman who was able to use its power for the first time in a long time.” She said as the others began to comment among themselves before they were silenced by Elder Red.

“I see but I must ask is he just like his predecessor Ms. Shadow?” asked Elder Red as Tempest nodded.

“Oh, he is. I was able to witness his skills when we were attacked by a Timberwolf that was corrupted by the same darkness that had taken control of Princess Luna. Dayman as what he is called, he apparently is a master with the blade as he was able to deliver power strikes and hand to hand strikes with great speed and precision not only that, but I was also able to witness him using the same kind of magic Crimson had used with the help of the gem and the belt. As he uses ice magic on the corrupted timber wolf incasing it in ice before using the same legendary power that Crimson used a long time ago by delivering a barrage of punches before delivering a powerful roundhouse kick as the corrupted creature exploded into pieces.” Said Tempest as everyone else was shocked and surprised at this though not as much as the Elder as a part of him wished to have been there to witness such a fight.

“It must have been a sight to behold, as expected from a descendant of Crimson Star.” Said Elder Red as he looked away recollecting of what he had learned of the hero of old it was then that Tempest cleared her throat as Elder Red looks back at her.

“There is something that I should mention as well. You see after defeating the corrupted Timberwolf a blue orb had appeared before Dayman who upon touching it with his power caused the orb to take the form of a small alicorn which looks exactly like Nightmare Moon. From what Dayman says he doesn’t sense any dark energy within her as the child seems to be connected to him now so much that she called her papa and is now under the humans care now.” Said Tempest as this had everyone form worried gazes at this for, they weren’t expecting to hear about something like this.

Elder Red was also shocked to hear this as well for he had learned about Nightmare Moon and how she was a corrupted version of Princess Luna when the darkness took over her body. Yet instead of destroying all her a remnant of her survived and combined with the humans power it brought her back to life in the form of an infant.

“Tempest…I want you to keep a close eye on both the human and the child from now on. If the child is anything like Nightmare Moon, it may complicate things for the human and his quest to cleanse this land from the very darkness that threatens this world and its inhabitants.” Said the elder as he had a worried gaze as many of the other robe wearing members along with Tempest were also nervous as well.

Back at the Tree Library…

“And that’s about it…though I can safely say that this was unexpected, but I am capable of overcoming this.” Said Dayman as he had just finished telling Celestia of what had happened during him and Twilight trip to the Everfree from meeting a member of a secret group called *The Church of the Red Star* to having to care for a baby version of Nightmare Moon.

As he is currently feeding her a bottle of milk to the baby alicorn thanks to Pinkie who proceeded to dash away and return with a baby bottle as Dayman accepted the bottle without question. Celestia was silent at what Dayman had said as she tries to process everything while also trying to comprehend the child that is being held in Dayman’s arms.

“I understand that this a lot to process but I would like to point out that the child in my arms is not evil. I don’t sense dark presence within her which means that she won’t end up like her older self.” Said Dayman as this had every pony stunned though Celestia was still silent which made Twilight and Spike worried for they had never seen her this quiet.

After a few seconds of silence Celestia lets out a sigh as she looks at the baby alicorn who was snuggling onto Dayman after being fed.

“After all that had happened, I shouldn’t be surprised at all of this. But here I am seeing you taking care of a baby alicorn of my little sisters corrupted state. However, I must ask are you certain about taking care of this child I mean other than this being a big responsibility this is an alicorn child that we’re taking about, are you certain that you’re up to the task?” asked Celestia as the mares look to Dayman as he looks into the eyes of the baby alicorn who looks back at him as she smiles and reaches her little arms to him as Dayman proceeds to hug her without hesitation.

“I am sure.” Said Dayman as the small baby alicorn nuzzles the side of my cheek as she rests on his shoulder.

“And if you like I could lend a helping hand to take care of her…if you don’t mind that is?” said Fluttershy who places a hand on Dayman’s other shoulder as she gives him a reassuring smile as Dayman smiles happily at her.

“And if Fluttershy is willing to help after all I still owe you for having my back against the Shadowbolts.” Said Rainbow Dash as she gave me a wink and a thumbs up.

“Oh, I want to help to after all a guy like you will be busy with other stuff so you will probably need some pony to help babysit for you.” Said Pinkie Pie in a sing song voice.

“She’s right sugar cube after raising a child is a lot harder than it looks and I want to help ya out too.” Said Applejack as Rarity stepped in.

“I will also offer my aid as well after all you might find yourself being overwhelmed with having to raise a child which is why you will need all the help you could get to raise her.” Said Rarity as she and the other mares nod in agreement.

“If big bro is going to do that that I will too.” Said Spike as gives a thumbs up to Dayman as Twilight looks at every pony else, she then spoke.

“I might not know much about raising a child, but I am sure this will be an excellent learning experience for all of us. But I do know one thing she certainly has the best dad for the job.” Said Twilight as the other mares plus Spike nodded in agreement as Dayman smiles at the others in appreciation as Celestia smiles at this.

“I do agree with what Twilight had said about you being a perfect dad for the baby alicorn. Though I wonder if maybe one of you wishes to play the part of the mother in this case.” Said Celestia in a teasing manner at the mares around Dayman who immediately go red in the face as Dayman, Spike, and Celestia giggled at their reaction.

“However, there is still that matter of this group you mentioned. The Church of the Red Star, correct?” asked Celestia as Dayman nodded at her.

“Many years ago, my brother was known to keep secrets from me but this…this is rather new to me and to think he had a group working under him under my very nose and after these years they still exist.” She said in a serious tone which threw the others minus Dayman for a loop.

“Let me clarify that Crimson didn’t create this group. For it was formed after the many great things he has done for the kingdom, and it wasn’t until after the war against the griffons that the group revealed themselves to him. And since then, he had used the group as his agents among the kingdom, but they kept their presence hidden from under the crowns radar mainly after you and Luna had a falling out with Crimson.” He said as this caused Celestia to look away in sadness which made the others worried upon hearing this.

“Look the important is that they’re offering to help us out with the issue that is going on in the land of Equestria. From what I have been told there is trouble looming over Equestria something very big and I am going to need all the help I can to fight this because the last time I dealt with this it led to an all-out war that nearly tore the world apart.” he said as Celestia had unsure look on her face as Twilight approached her.

“Princess, I understand that this is a lot to take in, but I assure to your that we can trust this group after all they seem to be excited to work with Dayman if you ask me. But its like he said we may need their help if we want to stop whatever threat may come to Equestria.” Said Twilight as Celestia lets out a tired sigh before looking back at Dayman.

“If that is what you believe it alright then I will support you. Just don’t keep under the loop like my brother, however there is still the matter on the child since she is a baby alicorn and so far, only me and Luna are the only existing alicorns in the kingdom. Not only that I am worried on how my ponies will react to see a baby version of Nightmare Moon and how my sister will react to seeing her still alive.” Said Celestia as this does bring up another issue that both Dayman and Twilight forgot about.

“What if we keep her existence a secret until things blow over and after that we can try to slowly introduce her to the kingdom, but not as Nightmare Moon instead as a reborn alicorn child.” Suggested Dayman as every pony looked at one another before looking back at him.

“Are you sure that is a good idea, Dayman?” asked Dash as the human shrugs his shoulders.

“I mean its worth a shot after all every pony is still spooked after the incident at the summer sun celebration so until the heat dies down its best that we should keep a lid on little Stellaris here.” he says as he boops the baby alicorn on the nose to which she giggles.

“Stellaris?”

They all said in unison as he raised his head up to them with a raised eyebrow.

“Yeah, it’s a name that means starry night figured it would suit her since she looks like the night sky. Plus, she seems to like the name, don’t you my little Stella?” he says as the little alicorn grabs his finger.

Celestia moves beside her as she eyes the little alicorns before smiling at the cute sight.

“I do admit that she is adorable, but there is still the matter of how Luna will react to seeing the child.” Said Celestia as Dayman sighed at this.

“Maybe given some time, she will understand that the child is not her dark counterpart but a being that is cleansed from the darkness that corrupted her though I am still surprised that the red core was about to do this.” He said as this had every pony’s attention.

“What do you mean? Is it not supposed to do that?” asked Twilight as Dayman shook his head.

“No, usually a creation of darkness is destroyed by the red core’s power, which you all witnessed when that shadow demon was separated from Luna. Yet a trace of her dark counterpart was still alive as it took control of a timber wolf and after defeating it an orb appeared to which I touched it with my hand glowing with red energy then she came into existence. Then again, I thought that that red core was all but a weapon, but I later learn that it was more than that, still this has never happened before.” Said Dayman as he looks at the child who begins to feel sleepy as she nuzzles onto Dayman’s arms.

“Maybe this is something new that you didn’t know about the red core. From what I learn from one of my comic books a superheroes powers have the possibility of doing more than one thing so maybe what you did must be a new ability from the red core.” Suggested Spike as Dayman wondered if this could be a possibility.

Just then a letter appeared in front of Celestia as she grabs onto it as she reads the contents within it before letting out a tired sigh.

“As much as I wish to stay any longer, I must return Canterlot, apparently the nobles are becoming rather restless seeing is how I disappeared during day court so I must return sadly. But before I go, just promise me that you will be careful Dayman and if you have anything related to the church or anything related to any of the shadow demons, alright?” said Celestia to which the human nods in agreement as the solar princess smiles at him as she lights up her horn.

“Thank you dear and when you have the time dear, please visit Canterlot sometime, farewell.” She said as every pony and human wished their goodbyes toward the solar princess before vanished in a bright flash luckily Dayman had the foresight to cover the Esra’s eyes when that happened as the child giggled at the action and as she latches onto her fathers armored glove.

Hours later….

It was now nighttime as the other mares had left to return to return to their respective homes leaving just Twilight, Spike, Dayman, and little Mooney as they prepare to head to sleep after today’s events. Though Spike had some trouble convincing Twilight to go to bed as she became enamored with the journals Dayman had given as Twilight began to read every word within the pages as Spike and Dayman were forced to drag the purple unicorn to her room and into bed.

“Oh, come on, please just a few more pages?” pleaded the unicorn mare as the little dragon sighed as Dayman shook her head.

“Twilight…Remember what happened last time you were invested on information?” asked Dayman as Twilight looked away sheepishly as Spike shook his head.

“Not to mention the many nights you stayed awake just to find out about Nightmare Moon that me and big bro here had to drag you to bed. And something that we both along with Celestia had to make you stop doing since you would occasionally fall asleep during your magic lessons.” Said Spike as Twilight sighed in annoyance after being reminded of that and how embarrassing it was as she fell asleep during one particular lesson as the purple unicorn was on the floor with drool leaking from her mouth.

“How about this, you get some sleep and tomorrow I will explain anything that your curious about from the journals I gave you okay?” suggested Dayman to which the Twilight perked up as she nods her head in happiness as she gets into her room and to her bed as Spike lets out a sigh of relief as Dayman chuckles at this.

“Well now that that’s done, I should probably put Stella to bed as well. Have a good night, Spike see ya in the morning.” Said Dayman as Spike lets out a yawn before waving good night towards the human.

“Night…big bro.” said the purple dragon as he walks into the guest room where he sees his beloved baby alicorn who was currently laying on a baby crib which was given to him thanks to Pinkie Pie. Where she got it from, Dayman will never know but was grateful for the gift as the baby alicorn laid there sleeping peacefully as she cuddles beside a small blue teddy bear yet another gift from the pink party pony.

Smiling at this Dayman proceeds to remove his gloves and boots before making his way to his bed as he laid on his back and began to look back all that has happened. From his arrival to Equestria, meeting the ponies, fighting an old enemy, discovering that he is the descendant of a legendary being, and now the unexpected father of a child who was once a former tyrant. This does nothing but make the human chuckle for it wasn’t the oddest thing that has happened to him in his life since he did come from a world separated into 3.

“Man, my family would have been livid if they were here right now…I really hope that they and the others are doing alright. Of course, now I must deal with the shadows again I just hope things won’t end up with what happened back in my world. But no matter what happens I will be here to protect the ponies of this world against the darkness throughs at me. This I swear it.” Declared Dayman in a low tone before closing his eyes as he drifted off to sleep.

It is still unknown as to what comes next for our grey haired human but just know that his adventure here in Equestria has just begun for he will take part in a great battle against the darkness…

sorry for taking a long time to post anything just had to deal with some personal stuff on my end plus a bad case of writers block. But now i am and ready to bring new chapters for this and my other stories here for the new year.
