Chapter 4: Heading to Ponyvile part 2

Dayman is currently on the ground with something over him as he raises his head before checking on the helmet to make sure it wasn’t knocked off after being tackled by whatever hit him.

“Ugh… not my best landing. Though this one was different from the last time I wonder why?” Said a raspy female voice as Dayman looks before him to see as rainbow maned pony with a blue coat wearing black and white sports bra and shorts as well as a rainbow-colored tail. Though what really stood out were the pair of blue wings on her back as Dayman realized that she was a Pegasus mare as the girl then took notice of him, her red eyes staring back at him as the mare realized the position she was in as she was now sitting on top of him and immediately got up from him and had a tint of red on her cheeks.

[center]“W-Who the hay are you?!” she said in an embarrassed tone as Dayman got up from the ground and started to wipe any dirt from his body. But before something in his mind flashed as the mare before him was now a woman with black hair with a ponytail, wearing a brown leather jacket with fingerless gloves, blue leather paints, and black boots. Dayman then shakes his head as the women turns back into a mare as the human mentally sighs at this before clearing his throat.

“I should ask you that same question. The last thing I recall was a blue blur coming towards me as I pushed my friends out of the way and tried to catch whatever was coming towards us.” Answered Dayman as the Pegasus mare soon realized what he was talking about as she sheepishly rubbed the back of her head and looked away from him.

“Yeah… Sorry about that.” Said the mare as Dayman soon snickered a bit.

“Though I have to admit that was one powerful strike you must have trained a lot to use such powerful speed. I am just glad that I was able to catch you before you got hurt.” Said Dayman as the Pegasus mare smiled at his words especially when he mentioned her speed.

“Thanks. Also, thanks for the save I thought I was going to do another bad landing by the way my name is Rainbow Dash the fastest flyer in all of Ponyvile nice to meet ya.” She said with a cocky smile as Dayman smiled back at her.
“Likewise my name is Dayman. Me and my friends were looking for you. Speaking of which Twilight are you-…” he stops his sentence as he sees Twilight walking towards him smeared in mud and dirt as Spike followed beside her. However, the unicorn mare was not happy by the slightest as she stood before the human with a blank expression and her arms crossed as the human had a look of worry towards her.

“Oh my-… Twilight I am so sorry I didn’t mean-…” he was cut off as Twilight raised her hand signaling him to stop talking as she lets out a small sigh.

“It’s fine Dayman after all you did take a hit for me, and I am grateful for that. Though I wished you didn’t push me to on a mud puddle.” She said as Dayman looks ashamed of this.

“Hey, don’t sweat it I’ll have you clean in no time.” Said Dash as she zips off into the air leaving a rainbow trail behind as she returns with a cloud much to Dayman’s surprise as the mare places the cloud over Twilight and proceeds to jump on it causing water to rain down on the unicorn mare and as Dash stops and pushes the cloud away. However, Twilight was now drenched in water and was now seething with anger and annoyance at the rainbow haired mare who had a sheepish look on her face.

“Heh well how about this my very own patented rainbow dryer.” She said as she proceeds to fly around Twilight in rainbow tornado drying her off as she stops to admire her work, however this causes Twilight’s mane and tail to puff out causing Rainbow to laugh uncontrollably as Spike started to laugh as well. This makes Twilight upset as she then spots Dayman trying to contain his laughter as he covered his mouth as she sends him a glare as the human shook his head at her.

“I-I don’t mean any disrespect miss Sparkle. But you have to admit it is a bit funny.” He said trying to make light of the ordeal with a kind smile as Twilight looked way from him not seeing how this was funny.

“So why were you guys looking me for anyway?” asked Dash who had finally stopped laughing and was in front of them.

“We were looking for the pony that overseeing the weather management for the summer sun celebration. However, the pony in question has yet to do it since there is still clouds in the sky.” Said Twilight who at this point was annoyed as Rainbow shrugs her off.

“Oh, don’t worry about that I will get to that pretty soon once I am done perfecting my moves. I was in the middle of training for the wonderbolts that I simply lost track of time. Also, thanks for the save dude I messed up when performing a stunt that it caused me to crash into you.” Said Rainbow though the last one was said towards Dayman who nodded at her and after hearing the name the wonderbolts he was reminded of Spitfire.

“Who are the Wonderbolts?” asked Twilight and as Rainbow was about to answer until Dayman decided to answer it.

“The Wonderbolts are a group of elite flyers who specialize in aerial acrobatics lead by captain Spitfire. They also work as the kingdoms aerial forces in case of any possible attack.” Said Dayman as both Twilight and Rainbow stared at him in surprise for knowing that.

“Whoa I didn’t think anyone other than myself would know about the Wonderbolts.” She said as Dayman shrugged at her.

“What can I say I like to learn new things.” He said as Twilight decides to cut in.

“But if remember correctly they don’t accept slackers especially those who are supposed to be working on the weather for the celebration.” She said as Rainbow rolled her eyes at her.

“Please I can get this all done 10 seconds flat.” She said Twilight smirked at her.

“Well, if that’s true then prove it.” She said as Rainbow smiles at her accepting her challenge as she fires off into the sky twisting around in different directions clearing the sky of any clouds leaving nothing but blue skies as she sets down and finished in 10 seconds. Twilight had a look of disbelief in her face while Spike and Dayman were amazed and impressed at Rainbow who smirked at their reaction.

“Told ya I would do it. Any way I gotta continue training, though it was awesome meeting you guys hope to see you at the summer sun celebration.” She said to which Dayman did a 2 fingered salute to her.

“Looking forward to it.” He said as Rainbow dashed toward the sky as the boys turn around only to notice that Twilight was still in shock as he waved a hand over her yet she doesn’t react to it as he then proceeds to Boop her on the nose braking her out of her funk as she shakes her head and scrunches up her nose before having both hands over it.

“Dayman what was that for?” said the mare as Dayman stared at her with a bewildered look.

“You were still in shock from Miss Dash’s speed, so I had to break you out of your funk by pressing my finger onto your nose. Did it hurt?” he asked as Twilight sighed at him before placing her hands down.

“I am fine. But please don’t do that again ponies have very sensitive noses so receiving a boop on the nose causes us to scrunch our faces like that. Though it is my fault for not telling you that detail during our lessons and I thank you for breaking me out of my stupor. Anyway, what’s next on the list?” said Twilight as her question was directed towards Spike who pulled out the list as he marked off weather management before spotting their next objective.

“Says her that we need to look over the decorations which is being handled by some pony named Rarity Belle in Carousel boutique.” Said Spike as the three make their way towards their destination though they had some difficulty finding the place, but after talking to one of the locals they were able to arrive as Dayman took notice of the buildings design. Which was an actual carousal and for some reason he was expecting it to start spinning around while playing a song as it goes around.

The 3 enter the building causing the bell above the door to ring as they take notice at the many mannequins’ inside as well as the many dressed that they wore. They then spot the mare in question as she was busy with one of the banners while humming a light tune as she was using magic while examining her progress. The mare had a white coat, a purple curled mane and tail, as she wore a black and white dress shirt, with a black skirt, and black pants.

“Amazing.” Said spike as Dayman and Twilight looked around at the other banners and various other dresses she has made admiring the mare’s work.

“I agree the dresses here along with the many banners here are a sight to behold.” Said Dayman but as he looks over to Spike, he notices hearts appear over him as he looked longingly at the white mare.

“I was talking about her.” He is pointing towards the mare who is putting on the finishing touches.

“I apologize for not greeting you all. I will be with you in a while once I finish this part and we are done.” She says as Dayman then introduces him and the others to the mare.

“Forgive us ma’am for barging in here unannounced, but we were hoping to speak to the mare named Rarity Belle who oversees decorations for the event today.” He says as the mare turns around to see the group but was surprised at the sight of Dayman admiring the disguised humans looks and outfit which was different from the usual guard uniform.

“Oh, it’s no problem, dear though I didn’t expect a guard to be over seeing the preparations and a handsome one at that.” Said the white mare as she flutters her eyes at Dayman who smiled at her not realizing that she was flirting as Spike gives him a dirty look as Twilight did the same much to her confusion. Suddenly his mind flashed again as he started to see the mare as a grey-haired woman with a black and red Victorian dress with a tiara and red eyes as Dayman blinked as he saw the woman as a mare again as he wondered why this was happening.

“So, what can I-… Oh sweet Celestia what happened to your mane?!” she nearly yelled out as she spots Twilight messy mane and tail much to the girl’s surprise.

“Oh, this it’s nothing really, but know that I have your attention we came here to see how the decorations for the Summer Sun Celebration and seeing how you have everything we will be on our way.” She said but before she could leave, she was pulled back by a blue aura and was now in front of the white mare.

“OH no, no, no, no. I can’t allow such a sight to soil your appearance. Come I will fix your mane and you will look better than before” said Rarity as she pulls Twilight to the side as the white mare gets to work to fix her leaving the two men alone.

Dayman was bewildered at the whole thing since he didn’t expect something like this before and wondered if this was a common thing among the ponies or was it just here. He was broken from his thoughts as he notices the little dragon still looking at him with a dirty look as Dayman raised an eyebrow.

“Is something the matter Spike?” he asked as the dragon looked away with crossed arms.

“Nothing. Nothing is wrong.” He said with an unhappy tone not knowing that the human was oblivious to Rarity’s flirting. 15 minutes had passed as Twilight comes running towards them as purple bookworm uses her magic to pull them along as they exit the building and away from the building before, they stopped at the center of the town near a water fountain. Both Dayman and Spike got off from the ground after being dragged by Twilight who was now panting like crazy and was now sporting a new outfit which was a purple turtleneck sweater with no sleeves and jeans, as her mane and tail were back to its normal style. Dayman was surprised at this, but had to admit that Twilight looked good, but had to look away once he realized that he was staring at the mare much to his confusion.

“Sorry about that you two, but we had to leave if we want to get everything done. So, what’s next on the list?” Asked Twilight as Spike pulled out the list marking their completed task as before spotting the next one.

“Next on the list is the entertainment as which is being set up by a pony named Fluttershy.” Answered the little dragon as the group proceed to their next destination however, they did notice the look Dayman was who was in deep thought.

“Something on your mind?” asked Twilight as Dayman looked at her with an unsure look on his face.

“I have just been thinking is all. I don’t know why but I have been seeing things after interacting with some of the mares that we have come across. For some reason I saw them as humans whose appearance looked familiar to me, yet I don’t know why.” He said as the human continued to wonder about it.

Spike was happy for him thinking that his memories were starting to come back to him and maybe remember what brought him to Equestria in the first place. Twilight thought the same, however a part of her was worried since she recalls how he saw Apple Bloom as some pony else and hoped that it wouldn’t lead to him hallucinate things from his past that wasn’t there which she read from a book back in Canterlot. After asking the locals of where to find the pony named Fluttershy they were soon lead down a path passing by the apple farm and towards a small cottage near the edge of the forest. And as they got closer, they heard what sounded like a group of birds singing as they followed the source of the sound and soon come across a mare with light pink hair, yellow coat, blue eyes, and wearing a green turtleneck sweater, with white pants, along with pink butterfly hair clip, and had a pair of yellow wings on her back. The mare was busy orchestrating the birds singing as one starts to sing off key causing mare to abruptly stop as she looks toward the bird.

“Mr. bird I mean no offence but you’re a little bit off key.” She said in the kindest tone as the bird nods at her as she was about to restart until-…

“Um… Hello there.” Said Twilight as the act not only scared the birds away but also surprised the hell out of the Pegasus mare who let out a cute eep before covering her face in her mane.

“My name is Twilight Sparkle what’s yours?” said the purple mare as the yellow Pegasus trembled a bit as she peaked through her mane and answered.

“I am Fluttershy.” She said in a quiet tone as Twilight raised an eyer brow at her unable to hear her as she got closer however Dayman was able to hear her and found her name to be quite cute.

“I am sorry I couldn’t-…” she was cut as Dayman gets in between her and the yellow mare. And for a moment Dayman saw the shy mare as a human female with long brown hair, freckles, and wore a skintight suit with knee high boots as after blinking say the shy mare again. He then shakes his head as the sight of the human girl returned to being a Pegasus mare before looking back to Twilight.

“Twilight its best to keep our distance it seems to be making the poor mare nervous with how close we are.” Said Dayman as Twilight seemed to be bewildered at this but complied with him as they backed away a bit as the disguised human bowed to the shy mare.

“It is a pleasure to meet you Fluttershy my name is Dayman, and this is Twilight Sparkle and her assistant Spike, we do apologize for interrupting your session we only came here because we were told that you oversaw the orchestra for the Summer Sun Celebration. And seeing how well you were guiding your birds you have everything all under control.” He said before raising himself up and giving a kind smile to the mare as she looked to him and upon seeing his eyes she started to feel more at ease.

“I-It is no problem you just startled me is all.” Said the shy mare it was then that she noticed Spike and immediately rushed to him in fascination much to Dayman and Twilights surprise.

“Oh my, a baby dragon. I have never seen one before since there aren’t any dragons here in Equestria.” She said in pure fascination as Spike seem to smile at this.

“Well then todays your lucky day then.” he said as the mare had sparkles in her eyes.

“Oh, you can talk.” Said the mare and it was then that Twilight was getting annoyed at this and proceeded to pull the little dragon towards her.

“Well, it’s been fun and all, but we really must be going now to the library. Especially if Spike wants to rest up for the day.” She said as she proceeds to walk away.

“Twilight do you know exactly where the library is?” asked Dayman to which the shy mare answered them.

“If you like I could lead you to where the library is. If you don’t mind that is.” She said as Dayman smiles at her.

“That would be wonderful miss Shy lead the way.” Said Dayman much to Twilight’s annoyance as the they head off. During the walk Fluttershy would then talk to Spike who proceeded to tell his whole life story as the mare listened to every word he said as Dayman smiled at the whole thing though he would also notice the annoyed look on Twilight’s face as he mentally sighs. He understood how Twilight’s mind works during his sessions with Celestia though he wishes that the mare would learn to lighten up occasionally especially when one of her study sessions would lead to her losing a night of sleep.

After a while the group arrived to the library as Spike was finishing up the last of his life story as Fluttershy smiles at every word as they reach to the front of the door. But before any of them could thank the shy mare they noticed that she had vanished without a trace much to the groups surprise though for some reason this act felt familiar to Dayman before shaking his head.

Though Twilight seemed relieved as she opens the door as the three enter inside though they notice that the place was completely dark and quiet. Dayman was about to find the light switch until…

good this took a long time and i apologize for this.

Also someone in the comments mentioned how i was misleading with the pics i used however i want to remind you that every pony in this story is a mix of their ponyselves and human selves. The pictures used in the story is to give you general idea as to how they will look throughout the story. Also the next part of this story will be coming soon and don't worry i will continue the Frank story, but i need to continue with my first story and post some chapters for it

Update 2/6/2022: all characters will look like anthros from now on.
