Chapters The Punishment of the Villains
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. The Punishment of the Villains
Twilight was laying down in her cage, trying to process the immense tortures of Sombra and Tirek. Cozy Glow was whimpering softly, and Chrysalis still hadn't moved. Tirek was pacing his cell, his weakened body torn all over, and Sombra had been dragged back to his own cell, his green and red eyes glaring at her from the darkness.
♫"Even If I fade away..."♫
Twilight's ears perked up to the sound of a sweet voice singing.
♫"My mood will change when I'm freed one day..."♫
Twilight looked over to see Tirek sitting in a corner, humming to the singers voice.
♫"If It goooo's to please my way, may I be set apart and see the light of day..."♫
Twilight felt startled to hear two more voices join in, harmonizing with one-another. She turned to see the main singer. Chrysalis.
♫"United at peace, viiilliaans my plea..."♫
Twilight sighed softly, and felt her eyelids slowly getting heavier.
♫"Even If I fade away.."♫
"Hey! What did We say about singing?" A guard demanded, entering the small colony of cells.
The room fell silent.
"That's what I thought." The guard backed away into the dark.
"Hey! Guard! Where is our friend?" A new voice demanded.
"Huh?" The guards asked confused.
Rainbow Dash flew into view, followed by Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Apple Jack
"Rainbow Dash! I'm mmmmphhh!" Twilight's voice was muffled out by a holey black hoof, which wrapped around her mouth.
"Be quiet! These guards are smarter than you think, and your causing unwanted attention to yourself." Chrysalis hissed into her ear.
Twilight noticed the other villains had backed themselves into the darkness. And Chrysalis released her, slinking into the void. Twilight pranced the length of the cell, trying to spot her friends, but a shadowy tentacle shot out, grabbing her by the waist and pulling her into the darkness.
"He-mmph!" Twilight tried to speak.
She looked to see her attacker in the face.
"If your petty friends see you, The guards will hurt us. We aren't going to fall to the hooves of a careless mare again." Sombra snarled quietly.
The tendril of shadow curled around her mouth and Twilight was stuck being pinned against the dirt wall, angry muffled voices quietly sinking into the air. She received a smack across the face, and glared at Sombra.
"I could care less what happens to you guys!" She managed to say.
"Twilight?" Apple Jack walked in front of her cell warily, and slowly.
Twilight broke free of Sombra, and rushed to the front of the cage, the coils of shadow retreating into Sombra's cell once again.
"You'll pay!" His voice said loud enough for her to hear.
"Twi!" Apple Jack exclaimed.
The orange cowgirl undid the lock, and opened it for the alicorn to come out. But something pushed the earth-pony into the cell, locking the door behind her.
"What in tarn nation?!" Apple Jack exclaimed, turning to see the grey guard locking her in.
"We told you not to trespass miss. Out orders are to lock up any-pony snooping around." The guard said briskly, turning away from her, and moving to the next cell over.
"And you. Countless times, you've been told not to sing. The punishment is whipping." The guard summoned up a whip with his magic, and entered the cell.
Chrysalis' cries of pain echoed across the cavern, and Apple Jack covered her ears to block the sound.
The guard then moved out of the cage to the next one.
"Tirek." He addressed curtly, using his magic to pull the hiding centaur into view.
The horse-demon growled, and raised a fist, only to get lashed across the face.
"And if I lose my job, you'll pay." The guard threatened, moving over to the next cage, and using his magic to pluck Cozy Glows feathers.
When he finished his assaults on the creatures, he faded into the darkness.
"This is your fault." Sombra hissed, his bleeding form limping over to the bars that separated them.
"How?" Twilight demanded, stepping in front of a shocked Apple Jack.
"Your stupid actions cause nothing but pain and misery to us." He said, pointing a hoof to Cozy Glow who was pathetically rubbing her destroyed wings, tears streaming down her face.
"I HATE YOU!" Cozy Glow hissed, looking up at Twilight with rage.
Twilight was taken aback.
"Never speak again if you know what's good for yourself." Sombra hissed, fading into the shadows once again.
Twilight looked at Apple Jack.
"Now what?" Twilight asked.
"Well, hopefully our friends will come with the princesses to save us." Apple Jack responded confidently.
"W-w-what about us?" Cozy Glow whimpered, giving Apple Jack puppy dog eyes.
Tirek smacked the filly across the head, ans she flew against a wall.
"Shut up! I don't want to hear the voice of a pony ever again!" He snarled.
Cozy Glow looked up, rubbing her head. Chrysalis was nodding her head in agreement, and Sombra was laying on his side. Tirek lay down and shut his eyes, and the captives slowly drifted to a uncomfortable silence.
"Hey Twilight!" Cozy Glow hissed after hearing Tirek's first snore.
"What?" She demanded.
Cozy Glow threw a metal rod into the cell across from herself.
"Get out of here! It only gets worse. They'll make you work in the mines with Sombra, Or they'll beat you daily like they do to the rest of us." Cozy Glow warned.
Twilight gaped.
"Do the princesses know about this?" Twilight asked.
"Yes. They let the guards torture us."
"But why?"
"BECAUSE OF YOU!" Chrysalis snarled.
"Silence!" The guard bellowed.
"Wait for a snore that sounds like a nuclear explosion, then you know they are both asleep." Cozy Glow advised before curling up to fall asleep.
Twilight looked at Apple Jack.
"What about the rest of you?" She asked.
"We're supposed to be down here. This is our punishment." Chrysalis snapped.
"Celestia and Luna would never do this!"
"And here we are."
"Your lying!"
"Every one has a deep dark secret. Maybe this is Celestia's."
"I....Don't believe it."
Chrysalis snorted at Twilight's words.
"Then why did you come down here in the first place?"
"Because I over heard Luna talking to one of the guards. I got really curious." She responded carefully.
Chrysalis tossed her mane, and stood up, walking over to the bars that separated them.
"No pony can save you." She concluded in a growl, and lay down.
Twilight felt a pang of pity then. Here all these monsters lay, beaten cruelly, and never fed enough, and she had caused the pain of Tirek, Cozy Glow, and Sombra, just by catching the attention of Apple Jack.
"We have to get out of here. We just have to." Apple Jack murmured quietly.
Twilight lay down, letting lose a yawn.
"Even if it is a prison, Its very peaceful here." She muttered to Apple Jack before falling into a deep sleep.
Author's Note
Nothing Interesting to see here! Please give me your feed back so I can make this story better. Celestia and Luna will get a bigger part later, and there will be an explanation for why they tortured the villains, I just have to find a way to put it into words.
Also, a quick description of the dungeon Twilight is in; It has rusty metal bars, similar as the jail the diamond dogs had, except that there was bars in between the walls going horizontally so the villains can see each other. That is how Chrysalis and Sombra could reach Twilight easily. The cells are dark, and a couple of them are damp. The cell doors are arched, and require a magical password to unlock. The beasts can use a small amount of their power, but are unable to break out of their cells because of the magic lock on the door.
The Punishment of the Villains
Rainbow Dash sat in front of Celestia and Luna, glaring daggers.
"I don't care if I wasn't supposed to go down there! Twilight and A.J are there! We need to save them!" She huffed.
Celestia looked at Luna.
"I told you not to go down there." Was all the blue mare could say.
"Well, I didn't want to! It was so dark and spooky, and the creatures that must be down there! oh! I feel so bad for the guards!" Fluttershy whimpered.
Celestia raised a quizzical eyebrow.
"So you saw nothing, except for the guards?" She asked.
"Yup! And the spooky darkness, and Twilight calling out to us!" Pinkie bubbled, bouncing up and down.
Luna shook her mane.
"I will go down to look for Twilight. Those are mines that we have been doing our best to explore. You ponies stay up here." Luna advised.
"No way! I'm coming with you, whether you like it or not!" Rainbow huffed.
Luna growled, but the expression faded to a gentle smile.
"I'm sure you will." She said sweetly, making her way down the steps that led to the thrones.
Celestia smiled at them.
"And once again, thanks for the party!" She called out behind her as the ponies exited the room.
"I'm a princess!" Twilight bellowed to the guard.
"Princess? I only obey the orders of the two sisters." The white guard responded, tugging on the chain.
The ponies where headed to the mines, where they would work with Sombra for the day, to see whether or not they had the strength to work there. Sombra was slowly getting weaker, and It was only a matter of time before he couldn't work any more.
"All right. Luna got three more picks for you, so don't break them." The guard said when they got there, handing them to the ponies and umbrum.
Twilight raised it with her magic, and brought it down on a shiny gemstone, causing it to crumble and fall out of its lodge. Apple Jack was tossing gems behind her into the cart like no-ponies business. Sombra was kind of doing the same thing, but the guards whipped him.
GORE SCENE
"Doesn't feel so nice, huh? Getting whipped? Being enslaved?" The grey one jeered, lashing Sombra's back with it. It didn't effect him how ever, and he continued to work, paying them no mind.
"Use the one that you used yesterday. If he breaks the pick again, we get to torture him more." The white one proclaimed.
"Now hold your horses! That is just plain sick and twisted!" Apple Jack exclaimed, spitting her pick-axe to the side and stepping forward to defend Sombra.
"Ohh! I'm so scared. Get out of my way, or I'll kick your ass too." The grey guard directed, shoving her past.
Sombra dropped the pick he was holding, and lowered his head, preparing to take the blows. The grey guard summoned up his magic, and a long crop appeared, adorned with thorns.
"One!" The white guard proclaimed with glee.
The thorns dug into his ribs, and Sombra winced, looking over at Twilight for help.
"Two!"
The bloodied thorn whip smacked his face, stabbing his left eye, and Sombra screamed, biting the crop on instinct.Blood began to slowly drip from his mouth. Apple Jack kicked the grey guard in the gut.The guard squealed in pain, and rocketed backwards.
"How 'bout a taste of yer own medicine?" She jeered, plucking the whip from him, and slashing his face with it.
The guards angrily scowled at the orange cow-pony, and then the white one head-butted her, causing Apple Jack to roll to the floor with a sickening 'crunch!'
"A.J!" Twilight exclaimed, looking at the bone that was poking out of her friends right fore-hoof.
Apple Jack winced at it, and tried to stand.
"Alright, fun's over. Back to work." The grey guard declared, standing up.
"Are you okay Skye?" The white one asked nervously.
"I'm fine!" Skye announced grumpily. "Go rest, bring down Cloud flyer to take my place though."
The white one nodded, and the two guards left the scene.
"Ya'll okay?" Apple Jack asked nervously.
Sombra turned on her.
"The point of this abuse system, is to give me a taste of my own medicine." He said in a monotone.
"Its not right! It can't be right. The Princesses would never!" Apple Jack muttered as they began to mine the gems again.
"It doesn't matter. Soon we'll all be dead anyways." Sombra spat bitterly.
"No. Our friends will save us." Twilight declared.
GORE SCENE OVER
"See, nothing here. Just a mine, with a couple of old cells..." Luna said, opening one. "Go on, check it out."
The four ponies hesitantly stepped in a different cell each, and Luna slammed them all shut.
"I'm sorry girls." She said over top the protests.
Fluttershy began to whimper as Luna left the cavern, and faded into darkness.
"All alone, in a cell, where we will rot to death?!" She squeaked.
"It'll be okay, Its just us here." Rarity declared, trying to pat Fluttershy on the back through her cell.
"That, my little ponies, is a lie." A voice hissed from the darkness.
Chrysalis stepped forth, and Fluttershy screamed, horrified.
Rarities pupil's shrunk as the changeling queen towered over her.
"I thought two ponies next to me was bad, but now I have to share a cell with one?" She sneered.
"Your not the only one, so shut up already. You've been whining for the past hour about how hideous you look now. Nothings changed except for your cuts." A voice croaked from across her, and Tirek stepped forth, causing Pinkie to squeak a bit.
"Thank goodness!" A voice whispered into Rainbow Dashes ear.
"W-who's there?!" She demanded.
"Your best student!" Cozy Glow exclaimed, extending her arms out, a cheesy grin cutting across her face.
"More like the worst one!" Rainbow retorted, tossing her mane.
"Well...This isn't good!" Fluttershy squeaked, backing against the bars of her cage, waiting for her cell mate to show themselves.
"Oh, Sombra isn't in there right now. Twilight and Apple Jack are helping him work in the mines." Chrysalis said deviously, just to scare Fluttershy.
"S-S-Sombra?" She whimpered lamely.
"Are you deaf?"
Chrysalis swung around and stomped back over to the shadow. The room fell silent, except for Fluttershy's whimpering. Pinkie Pie then started to bug poor Tirek by trying to be friendly.
"Would you SHUT UP?" He yelped.
"Why? We are going to be the absolute BESTIES!" Pinkie giggled, throwing her hoof around his neck.
Tirek groaned, and smacked the plucky pink mare away from him, grabbing the bars, and staring out into the hall in a desolate manner.
"There. That is it for today." Twilight panted, throwing the last gem into the cart.
Apple Jack was sitting on a stone, and the small guard mare Cloud Flyer was wrapping a bandage around her broken hoof.
"My, You know how stallions are to each other. Just stay out of the way when a fight is rising between them hey?" She gushed, her cheesy grin spreading wider as she finished. "Even though it is rather flattering when they are fighting for you!"
Apple Jack looked at her companions, who were resting against the cart, and shook her head.
"Thank you." She addressed the guard, and leapt of the stone, grimacing at the pain on her foot.
"All right. Back to your prison." The stallion guard commanded.
"Water Gust! They are the element bearers. Treat them kindly." Cloud commanded, scowling.
"But sweetheart, the grey stallion!" Water Gust whined.
"Don't you sweetheart me! Your being a dictator!"
"Uh..Please go back to your cells?"
"That's better. Come on now, he said please."
Cloud escorted them to their prisons, and Twilight gasped.
"Girls! What are you doing down here?" She asked, a look of awe spreading across her face.
"Luna." Rainbow snorted, and angry look crossing her features.
Sombra growled at his cage mate.
"Stay out of my way, little one." He snapped when he passed her.
Fluttershy nodded her head meekly, and curled up into a ball, in the corner of the cage.
"Why didn't you kick their flanks and escape?" Cozy Glow hissed at Twilight.
"Because I have no intention of hurting other ponies."
"Right, Whatever." Cozy Glow said sarcastically. "Hey Tirek, did you get the 'best friend drawing' I drew?" She asked, poking her head into his cell.
Pinkie bounced over.
"He's your best friend too? Uh! This is perfect! WE CAN ALL BE BESTIES TOGETHER.!" She giggled.
Cozy Glow, Sombra, Chrysalis, and Tirek scowled.
"NEVER! Never would I ever be friendly with hideous beings like yourselves!" Chrysalis bellowed, grabbing the bars of her cell.
Rarity scoffed.
"Like I would want to be friends with a roughens like you anyways." She retorted to the beasts.
Sombra growled, and Tirek stomped a hoof. Twilight felt uncomfortable to be in the midst of rising conflict.
"Okay, now, maybe ya'll shouldn't talk to each other if ya'll are just gonna say mean things?" Apple Jack advised, noting Twilight's panicked expression.
"All right yellow one. You stay in the light side, I'll stay over here where everything is better." Sombra said, drawing a line in the dirt with his hoof.
Fluttershy nodded in agreement, and hunched down as the guards walked past. She let out a scream when Sombra faded into the darkness, leaving a creepy grin and two glowing red irises, with green eye whites.
"Sombra! Don't scare Fluttershy!" Rainbow scolded, throwing herself at the bars as though she was going to break them down and defend her friend.
The eyes disappeared and the grin dropped slowly. Fluttershy began to weep.
"Why did Luna do this?" She sobbed.
Chrysalis snarled.
"You should've minded your own business Twilight Sparkle."
"I'll get out of here, with the magic of friendship-"
"Anything is possible?" Tirek mocked.
Twilight narrowed her eyes.
"You know that's true." she said, fluffing her wings indignantly.
Fluttershy stood.
"I believe our friendship is stronger than anything. I believe Twilight can get us out of here." The yellow mare said, dropping her gaze to the floor and blushing when all head turned to her.
"Howwww cute..." Sombra drawled, stepping out of the shadows, and taking form.
"I believe in you Twilight." Apple Jack seconded.
"I believe in you!" The rest chorused.
Chrysalis plugged her ears.
"CRINGE! FRIENDSHIP IS NOTHING!" The changeling screeched defiantly.
"HEY! QUIET IN THERE!" The guard called.
The room fall quiet.
"I don't understand." Twilight whispered.
"Looks like the power of friendship doesn't work every single time." Tirek said quietly, backing into the darker parts of the cell he shared with Pinkie Pie.
Rainbow Dash sagged down against the bars, and dropped her head.
"You could try to send a message to Spike?" Rarity suggested.
Sombra hissed, and scowled, but the mares ignored him. Pinkie randomly pulled out a parchment of paper, and a scroll, handing them to Twilight by extending her arms freakishly long. Twilight smiled.
"I don't know the spell, but I'll try." She said.
"You don't know it!?" Rainbow shrieked.
"Well I'll be." Apple Jack muttered.
"How does the egg-head not know the spell?!"
"I always had spike to do it. Does any other creature/unicorn know it?" Twilight asked.
"I'm afraid not dear. I always used my magic for fashion." Rarity said meekly.
"What a waste of a horn!" Sombra snorted. "You could've been so much more."
Rarity scowled at him.
"I know how to use the spell, but I wouldn't share it with you, just so you could escape, and brag about it." Chrysalis huffed.
Tirek nodded in agreement.
"Well Sombra?" Twilight asked, giving him the best puppy dog look she could muster.
"Hmmm..." He thought, a devious smile spreading across his lips.
"Come on!" Rainbow groaned. "You don't know it either?!"
"I do too!" He huffed, stomping a hoof indignantly.
"Well, prove it!"
Twilight scribbled out a letter to her best friend, and floated it over to Sombra.
"Please?" She begged.
"Don't do it Sombra." Chrysalis warned.
"Who are you going to choose?"
"If you do it, I'll mock you."
"Do the right thing."
"SHUT-UP-AND-LET-ME-THINK!" He bellowed.
"Its not a hard decision." Chrysalis said.
Sombra unrolled the scroll, and read through it swiftly.
"Chrysalis! This is our chance for freedom!" Sombra exclaimed, looking up at her.
Chrysalis cocked her head.
"Really?"
"No. I'm a purple alicorn who has the best friends. May the power of friendship explode you foul changeling!" He mocked, releasing the scroll, rearing up and raising his hooves above his head in a mock 'boo' fashion. "Rargh!"
Chrysalis smirked, then morphed into Twilight.
"Oh no!! I can't cast a simple message spell! What will I do??"
She placed a hoof on her forehead and swooned backwards, mock fainting. Twilight scowled.
"Not. Cool." Rainbow Dash growled.
Sombra and Chrysalis continued to mock Twilight, and Sombra surprised them all by being able to shape-shift as well.
"HEY! CUT IT OUT!" The guard screeched, stomping down the hall, producing a whip.
He slashed the defiant beasts across the face, and Chrysalis growled. Sombra hissed, and backed into the darkness, scaring the wits out of Fluttershy once again. She screamed, and Gusty smacked her with the crop as well.
"Gooooood nightttt princesssssssss." Sombra drawled after a moments pause.
"The worst night to you." Rainbow retorted.
The Punishment of the Villains
"Well...How should we beat them today?" Skye asked his companion.
"Hmmm..." Gusty looked at the caged creatures with spite in his eyes."Take it out on the cow-pony." He directed.
Skye grinned and floated the thorny crop up to the mare. Apple Jack just scowled.
"I don't care if ya'll kill me with the thing, I ain't taking back what I did."
"Smack her broken hoof!" Gusty cheered.
The guards gave Apple Jack a full down beating, leaving her twitching on the floor when they had finished. The mare gave a soft groan, and picked herself up.
"Gusty, Skye. You may leave for your break early now. We wish to talk to the prisoners." A familiar voice commanded the friends.
"Very well your majesties." Skye said, trotting out of the house of cells, Water Gust following shortly after.
"I'm sorry Twilight." Celestia said, stepping out of the shadows.
"Are you? If you were sorry, you wouldn't be doing this!"
"Twilight, every-pony has a deep dark secret. This one is mine."
"You didn't lock up Luna though!"
"Because it would be suspicious if the moon stopped rising and descending."
"So no-pony cares that ALL OF THE ELEMENT BEARERS ARE MISSING?"
"Twilight, please hear me out!"
"NO!"
Twilight spun around, and her friends did the same. Celestia's gentle look hardened, and yellow magic began to engulf her.
"Did I not say to listen to me?" A demonic voice asked.
Chrysalis gasped."A helhest? I thought they where all banished to the Ether."
"We were indeed...But we escaped through the use of a certain Umbrum 'King'." The demon hissed, looking at Sombra.
"You possessed me y-you..you low life of an... an ass!" He sputtered, throwing himself at the bars of the cage.
"Indeed! Me and my loyal guard entered your mind, and escaped, leaving you to freeze in the arctic wastes, while we could take the bodies of the beloved princesses."
Luna stepped from the shadow then, morphing into an armoured helhest, and making a weird sound, which was assumed a laugh.
"And the gates to the Ether will be opened soon, our kind will come out, and take over this dump of a land." The guard helhest said.
"But where are the real Celestia and Luna?" Twilight asked.
The helhest's eyes glowed, and two bundled ponies where brought fourth in the magic light. Celestia's eyes bulged when she saw Twilight and her friends. Luna tried to say something, but it came out as a muffle.
The beasts threw them into the cage with their fellow princess.
"As we also read Sombra's mind, we know about the magic of friendship, so we blocked that magic with a secret of our own, making it virtually impossible to escape." The guard said smugly.
"That's why we couldn't laser canon the bars!" Rainbow declared.
"That's indeed right! Soon I will build up my army of monsters to roam free of Equestria. Including corrupting those changelings once again." The demon horse hissed, nearing Chrysalis.
The former changeling queen flinched, and shielded her eyes from the disgusting being.
"Would you care to join the army?" It asked her.
"Don't do it Chrysalis!" Twilight pleaded. "Please! They tortured you!"
Chrysalis looked at Twilight with absolute disgust.
"Of course." She said to the helhest out of sheer spite for the princess next to her, and it opened the cage.
"And King Sombra knows the location of the Umbrum kind. Would you care to show me, and we shall release darkness unto the world, making the crystal ponies pay!" The beast declared to Sombra, whose face lit up with an evil flare.
"Of course." he purred, whipping his tail into Fluttershy's face when he trotted past.
"And Lord Tirek who was banished from the centaur island, would like to seek revenge on his family for being abandoned after learning the arts of dark magic?" The helhest hissed, looking to the demon/horse for an answer.
"I'll do anything to seek revenge." He said simply.
"Cozy Glow, would you like to be freed?" The beast asked the pegasus filly.
"Gee golly! Yes!" She exclaimed, throwing herself against the bars of the cage in a desperate manner.
The helhest guard snorted. "Too bad."
The leader pointed a hoof at the three villains.
"First things first..I am the leader! I will tell you what to do. Sombra, go to the frozen north. Avenge your family! Chrysalis, show those changelings who is boss, Tirek stay by my side. The land will be divided after the creatures are summoned."
"NO!" Twilight bellowed, throwing herself against the bars of her cell.
"And you guys, you will stay down here." The guard said slapping her across the cheek with a rotten hoof.
The villains laughed victoriously, and bounded out of the room.
"No." Twilight said, slumping in defeat.
"Come on Twi! Don't lose hope! Remember the bar Cozy Glow gave us? Well I should mention that I have a knack for that kinda stuff." Apple jack admitted.
"And you didn't get us out of here earlier?!" Rainbow Dash shrieked, crossing her fore-hooves.
"I was waitn' for the right time!" Apple Jack said, starting to work the lock. "Besides, we would've been caught again, but now that the princesses are with us, we can easily get out of here." She added hastily.
"Just hurry!" Cozy Glow said.
Twilight glanced up, fumbling to undo the tricky binds.
"Your staying here until we return Cozy. I don't trust you-No one does."
The filly pouted. "Fine." She huffed.
The door to Apple Jack's, Twilight's, Luna's, and Celestia's cell swing open then. Apple Jack had beaten the lock.
"You'll never get away with this!" Cadence declared angrily from her spot inside the crystal cage Sombra had created.
"I've already gotten away with it." The stallion replied with a smooth tone.
Cadence tried to use her horn once again, but the magic was blocked by pitch black crystals. Panting, she looked at her husband and child sadly. Shining Armour growled.
"Twiliy will-"
"Twilight Sparkle and her friends have already been dealt with." Sombra cut him off.
Shining armour bristled, and bared his teeth even more. "She will not fail! She never has!"
"I know that already, and that's why I'm trying to get this done as fast as I can."
Sombra shot dark magic at the crystal on top the crystal throne, and a large, gaping hole appeared. Cadence winced slightly at the pit, and covered Flurry Hearts eyes with her wings.
"Farewell! When I return, I will have an Umbrum army with me." He declared, going down the steps at a brisk trot.
"I hope he falls and breaks his neck on his way down." Shining Armour huffed to his wife.
"Rise with me Changelings! I have proof that the ponies have been trying to use you! They have been torturing me, telling me how they are going to burn down your hive, and expand the pony race by building their junk in our space!"
The former queen paused, and survived the changelings. They appeared to be interested. She grinned victoriously and continued continued.
"Princess Celestia and Luna have told their guards to abuse me, and they didn't feed me! They left me in the pits! But the helhest King has freed me, and promised us better land, better food, and better friendships, if we follow his order! help us stop the ponies before they destroy our-your home!" Chrysalis proclaimed over her old hive, which was decorated anew with flowers and other pretty things.
A tense silence filled the hive for a fraction of a second.
"How dare they!" A guard shrieked suddenly, his colourful light purple and orange coat dissolving back into a hideous black holey hide.
The other changelings saw this act, and a rally began. the hive was soon filled with bloodcurdling screeching in defiance and anger. One by one, they all sided with Chrysalis, until it was only Thorax and Ocellus left.
"Well my offspring?" Chrysalis purred to the last two.
"Never!" Ocellus shouted in defiance.
"You have all seen the good of friendship! The ponies would never-" Thorax was cut off by the queen.
"Very well They have clearly been infected with the foulness of the pony kind. Guards, lock them away in the deepest cage available, then follow me!" Chrysalis commanded, flying up into the air.
"Lets move!" Twilight shouted to her friends. "A.J, Rainbow, Luna and I will go to the Crystal Empire, the rest of you go to the Changeling nest!"
"Aye, Aye!" Rainbow declared, and the crew took off, galloping towards the stairs.
"Wait!" Luna called, stopping and lighting her horn.
"What is it?" Apple Jack and Twilight said in sync, turning to look at her.
"We can get there faster if I teleport us to the Empire. Cadence could be in danger."
"Good Idea!" Twilight cheered.
Luna engulfed the group in blue light, and they vanished form the mines, reappearing in front of the dais, where the heart was missing. The sky was a sickly orange, and not a pony was in sight. snow was closing in swiftly.
"Not good!" Rainbow huffed, as they galloped up the stairs of the palace, and down the hall that would lead them to the throne room. They where rather surprised when there was no guards in front of it.
Twilight threw open the doors, and scanned the area, her eyes stopping on the stair-well in the middle of the room. Cadence and her family sat inside a crystal pocket. She waved at Twilight.
"Did he?" Luna asked Cadence with panic.
The mare nodded."And he hasn't come back up yet."
"Then lets get him!" Rainbow exclaimed, shooting down the hole in a rainbow blur.
"Come on ya'll." Apple Jack waved her hoof over her head, and began to canter down the steps, leaping over the broken parts.
Twilight and Luna spread out their wings, and descended into the abyss with slow caution, unlike the other two.
"What about us?!" Shining asked.
Luna floated back up and tried her luck on the crystal. It held strong. She blasted at it a couple more times "I'm afraid not even alicorn magic can destroy it." She frowned. "But it may break if we defeat Sombra." She added.
The royal family perked up a little. "Then good luck Auntie." Cadence whispered.
"Their gone!" Rarity cried when she saw the empty nest.
"Chrysalis must have corrupted them. Lets search the area though. We may find a rebel somewhere."
The ponies cantered down the twisting halls as fast as they could, and soon some cries of help could be heard from a distance. They came from a cluster of cells, with orange tinted rocks in between, and steel bars running down.
"Hello?" Celestia responded.
"Help us! Chrysalis corrupted the hive!" Ocellus and Thorax were banging on the bars of the cage.
"Hold on!" Fluttershy said as loud she could, and Celestia fired a beam of magic at the bars.
When the dust had cleared, Thorax and Ocellus ran forth to meet their friends.
"Thanks so much professors, Princess. Chrysalis is very persuasive." Ocellus said with a sad expression.
"We need an army to defeat her now, and I don't want to fight my people." Thorax pointed out.
"You'll need two or three actually." Celestia swiftly explained the situation, drawing open mouths from the changelings.
"Oh my!" Ocellus exclaimed.
"Ocellus has made friends with the dragon, yak, griffon, and hippo-griff nations. Perhaps we can ask them for assistance?" Thorax suggested.
"That's a good plan. We need some-one persuasive enough to ask the griffon kind. Perhaps Twilight can send Spike to the dragon lands to ask Lord Ember for assistance." Celestia suggested, pulling out a pen and quill. "Ocellus, perhaps your friend Gallus could help us out? And if we need extra assistance, I'll send a letter to the yak's as well, and then when we add the pony army, we should triumph over them."
Ocellus beamed proudly at the mention of her friend.
"Of course! Gallus would be very willing to help."
"We'll need a couple hours to gather. Provided the other clans are willing."
"Yes your highness."
"Sombra!" Twilight panted, throwing open the door to his private study; a couple of busts of the king where on different tables, a bookshelf at the far end, and a pedestal with a book on it. A red rug lay beneath it.
No-pony was there. Luna scratched her head in confusion.
"Were did he go?"
"Come on out you coward! Let me kick your ass!" Rainbow demanded, flitting around the room in search for the king.
"I'm sure you'll try, but I'll kick yours first."
It was at that moment that the mares noticed the second door next to the bookshelf. It glowed purple for a minute, and then it was torn off its hinges. Shadow poured out of the door way, and a silhouette stepped forth.
"Sombra." Luna growled, the hair on her back bristled.
"Luna."
"Where is your army?" Apple Jack jeered.
"Right here." A ghostly voice responded.
A tall equine figure stepped forth. It's pelt was a shadowy texture with a blue colouring. Its eyes burned with a white light, and small fairy wings rode on its back. More beasts like this came forth, in different sizes and colours. Rainbow Dash descended to the ground, and folded her wings.
"What. Is. That?"
"The Umbrum kind. We have been locked away for a millennia, and another after you stopped our saviour from freeing us. Now that we are free, we will torment and destroy the pony kind!" The blue one declared with a cackle.
"Now Rabia, remember what I told you. We need the Crystal Ponies to fight with us. When we win, you may hurt them as you please." Sombra chided. "But first, GET THEM!"
The sudden shout spooked the mares, and they scattered across the room, making it easy for the Umbrum to capture them. Sombra laughed cruelly at the struggling mares, then turned to one of the monsters.
"Gather the armour from the tack room and enslave the ponies, then..then. He hesitated for a short moment. "We'll show them the full fury and might of the shadow's."
Twilight noticed his pause, and locked eyes with him. "Don't do it Sombra! You don't have to hurt the ponies again!" She pleaded.
There was a brief flicker of...Guilt? No pity in his eyes, but it disappeared and his face hardened into an unreadable, yet thoughtful mask. An Umbrum nudged him, and he snapped back into consciousness. "That's King Sombra now." He said gravelly.

The Punishment of the Villains
"The Hippo-Griff, Yak, and Dragons have agreed to help us, and we have yet to hear from the griffons."Celestia declared from a scroll she was reading. "Thank goodness we have Spike and Smolder, otherwise we would be short. Sombra most likely will force the Crystal ponies to fight with him, if he has not yet been defeated. And seeing as Tirek and the Helhest King are missing, means they are already at the Ether gates. This is not good."
Thorax placed a comforting hoof on his fellow royal and smiled. "I'm sure we can beat them. The magic of friendship has always defeated any foe, no-matter how powerful, or how many there may be."
Fluttershy, Ocellus, Pinkie, and Rarity bobbed their heads in agreement.
"Surely Twilight and the others are on their way back right now. I bet they've thrown King Sombra back into the darkness. No need to stress yourself darlin-er I mean your majesty." Rarity chided.
Celestia made a face. 'That may be true. Twilight has never failed to complete a task, and with two other element bearers, and Lulu by her side, I'm sure she's already defeated that foul tyrant.'
---
"Bring forth the prisoners!" Rabia bellowed.
They were in the throne room, a crystalline alter off to one side with a large tome, and a statue of an Umbrum wearing a crown. A couple of candles were lit all around it.
Sombra eyed her warily. "Mother..Are you sure? I've never done this before." He looked down at his hooves nervously.
"You'll do fine. Besides, the Rituals of the Umbrum must become familiar with you if you are going to be our king." The Umbrum mare chided. "Now, you see that virgin mare tied up there? We will chant the creed, then you'll go forth and eat her heart. Another creed will be said, then you'll offer the corpse to our first king. Then you will do it again on your own to a prisoner of your choice. Just remember, It has to be a virgin."
She pointed a ghastly hoof at a statue behind the chained, struggling white mare mare with a pale pink mane and a blue gem for a cutie-mark, then at the four tied mares.
'This...Is going to be really weird.' Sombra thought. "Is this even necessary?" He asked.
All the Umbrum gasped.
"Of course it's necessary!" Rabia spat. "Why? Never eaten a pony before? Never eaten meat? Or are you scared?"
"Well...I..Does one rabbit and a bunch of cod count?"
"You'll get used to it. It tastes similar to a rabbit heart. Let us start the ritual now." She handed him a dagger. "You'll need this."
"What is taking Sombra so long?" Tirek whined. "I'm tired of waiting!"
"Silence!" The helhest King snapped.
The now evil changeling's buzzed impatiently. "Yeah! I wanna destroy them ponies houses! Suck the love outta them!" One pipped up.
Chrysalis smiled. "Trust me my children, we will get the chance. Just you wait."
"Alright troops. Yak strong, ponies strong, Hippo-Griffs strong, Dragon strong, but we are stronger if we work together! We defeat the monsters and bring back peace to pony land!" A large yak bellowed. "We save Crystal Ponies from terrifying Umbrum now, and pony home from other monsters after! Charge!"
The yaks stampeded down the slope and towards the Crystal Empire. When they got there, they plowed through the empty streets, and towards the castle.
When they burst into the throne room, A sinister chant was being said. The king sat in front of the squirming mare, holding a dagger in his iron-clad hooves.
"Yaks will destroy you!" A warrior called out, rushing towards the nearest Umbrum.
"Get them!" Rabia roared.
Sombra spooked at the sudden noise and the dagger fell to the ground. Luna, who was tied up with the rest of her friends in a corner, managed to wiggle out of her bounds. She lunged for the king, and they tumbled to the ground in a ferocious wrestle.
"Get off!" Sombra roared, shooting her in the face.
Luna threw a punch at him, and he kicked her in the gut. The alicorn coughed, and went hurling against a wall.
"Luna!" Twilight cried. She struggled to get free.
"Imma kick your ass!" Rainbow bellowed. "Imma kick all your asses!"
Sombra stood, and looked at the mare on the table. her eyes where full of terror and grief. "Y-y-your majesty!" She squeaked.
"Do it now Sombra!" Rabia bellowed form somewhere. "Kill her, and eat her heart!"
'What's gonna happen to me if I don't? If I do?' Sombra picked up the dagger once again, and took a shaky breath. All sound was tuned out. He looked at the victim. She was sobbing uncontrollably, but he couldn't hear her. He felt sick. Sure he had beaten, tortured, and killed thousands of these ponies, but he had never eaten one. What would it taste like? Cannibalism sounded just absolutely..well...disgusting. Vile on all levels. He just barely heard some one screaming at him.
"DO IT SOMBRA!" Rabia bellowed from her spot on the floor.
GORE SCENE
Sombra took a deep breath, and dropped the blade into the mare's stomach, dragging it up to her chest slowly. Time froze, and he heard the mare scream in agony, blood rushing up from her stomach and onto her pearly crystalline flesh. Sombra dragged it up through her chest. Then he wrenched it out, breathing heavily like he had run a marathon. Every one was staring at him, looks of horror from the ponies and yaks, and looks of glee from the Umbrum. The room was silent, all heads turned to him.
"Now eat the heart like a good boy." Rabia cheered.
Sombra turned away from her and winced at the torn body. 'These Umbrum sacrifices where...Worse than...Worse than me?' He thought.
Closing his eyes, he stuck a hoof into the ripped mare, and fished around for her heart, tugging it out. Blood dripped off his hooves, and he nearly gagged when he looked at it.
"Eat it now!" Rabia snarled.
"But I-" Sombra started.
"EAT IT!"
Without a word, he shoved it into his mouth. It was disgusting! He gagged violently, and threw up his head, biting into it. It burst into his mouth, and he nearly puked it up. Blood trickled down his chin, staining his grey fur.
GORE SCENE OVER
"That's a good boy!" Rabia cheered when he managed to actually swallow it.
Sombra looked very pale. He opened his mouth and panted like he had been under-water for a full three minutes.
"You monster!" Luna roared.
"Get the cannibal!" A yak bellowed.
Suddenly Sombra was over-whelmed with dozens of yaks, all hurling punches at him, or trying to kick him with their short legs. Their armour was a lot more stronger than his, and he was nearly crushed in seconds.
"Enough!" He roared, over-coming his sickness for a moment and blasting the yaks off him.
They went flying into a wall, giving loud feral grunts and roars.
"Get them!" Rabia screeched to the other shadow creatures. "No one assaults our king and gets away with it!"
The battle in the throne room started up again, this time with even more furious yaks and umbrum fighting to the death.
"The yaks should be here by now." What could be holding them?" Celestia murmured to herself.
The armies where all there except for the yaks, and the griffons, who refused to help the ponies. Gallus was looking defeated, sitting in a corner of the room. Ocellus was comforting her friend.
"Perhaps they ran into some sort of trouble?" Thorax suggested.
"Maybe. Twilight and the others should have been here a while ago as well. I can't bear think of what might've happened." The sun monarch drooped slightly.
"I'm sure they'll get here in time."
"I hope your right."
A guard came up to the two rulers then. "Your majesty," He bowed, "the army is getting anxious. Perhaps we should try our luck without the yaks?" He fidgeted.
"We'll give them an hour to show up." Celestia said. "Then...We'll try our luck."
The guard nodded, and scampered back to the sea of creatures.
"Oh I hope Twilight and the others are okay!" Fluttershy squeaked.
Rarity placed a comforting hoof on her shoulder, and Pinkie smiled.
"Twilight's probably on her way here now, with a meanie called Sombra locked away in darkness like he deserves!" The plucky earth-pony reassured her friend.
"I-I hope so!"
"Enough waiting! I'm tired of being patient! Sombra is missing, or he clearly doesn't want to waste his time taking over Equestria now that he has his little playground!" Chrysalis huffed, stomping a holey black hoof impatiently.
"We have to wait for the gates to finally open anyways!" The helhest king snapped. "So shut your yap you impatient vermin."
"My bet is that those pesky ponies broke out of their cells and killed him." Tirek replied.
"Whaddya bet pal?" A changeling that looked rather sluggish asked. He raised up a cup of some sort of fizzy drink, and chugged it, half its contents drenching his hard black shell, and dripping off him, splashing to the ground. "I got thousand pebbles!" He giggled stupidly and wiped his mouth.
"One more hour, and the sun will be positioned so we can open the gates and free the helhest army, then we will destroy the pony race!" The zombie king bellowed.
The rest of the beasts cheered.
"To the king!" The drunken changeling cried.
"To the king!" The rest cheered.
The Punishment of the Villains
"I will crush you!" Luna roared, pinning Sombra down onto the floor.
The stallion still looked a little green, but he fought back no problem. He threw a punch at her gut, and she coughed, stumbling backwards.
"As you were saying?" Sombra asked, bucking at her jaw with his hind leg.
Luna grunted, and narrowed her eyes, her horn glowing with a midnight blue aura. Sombra's purple essence began to burn off his eyes as his horn bubbled wickedly with a sickly black, purple, and green glow. His eye whites changed green, and they fired at each other, an epic battle before the alter of the Umbrum god, Temor.
Yaks and Umbrum fought one another down below in the throne room, blood staining the pretty crystalline floor and red carpet, and a pale looking Cadence covered Flurry Hearts eyes and ears with her wings and fore-hooves in the background. Shining Armour glared at the shadowy monsters, a hoof around his family as if one of the beasts might try to hurt them.
"You will not prevail you vile, wretched monster!" Luna spat, forcing more magic into her horn, and flying up.
Sombra stood, and squared out his feet, beads of sweat rolling down his fore-head. Some-how, Luna had managed to remove the crystals from her horn, making this fight a lot longer than it had to be. He gritted his teeth, and forced more of his energy and magic into defeating her.
"Luna!" Twilight cried as Sombra began slowly to over-take her.
Luna gasped as a gust of dark magic struck her down, hitting her in the chest. She let out a cry of anguish, falling to the ground with a loud thump. Sombra walked over to her, placing his hoof on her throat.
"Any last words princess?" Sombra cooed, stroking the side of her face in a loving manner.
"Get off me!" She bellowed, smacking him with a wing.
GORE SCENE
Sombra tumbled away, surprised, and Luna threw a kick at his gut. He let out a feral roar, and lunged, biting down on her wing. A small amount of blood trickled down her beautiful downy blue feathers, and she narrowed her eyes at him, shaking it violently to remove the latched on king.
Sombra forced her to the ground with an iron hoof, and twisted her wing. A sick snapping emitted, and she cried out in agony. Sombra continued to twist her wing, until it was horribly maimed, and nearly falling off. Blood poured out of the base of it, shards of a shattered bone poked out here and there. He spat out a couple of feathers that had been caught on his mouth, and grinned victoriously.
Luna narrowed her eyes at him, and bucked furiously at him, but he just danced away, chuckling evilly. "Enough games Sombra! Fight me like a real stallion!" She huffed, standing up shakily, and head-butting him.
Sombra stomped his hooves, eyes darkening wickedly as his horn began to ignite. "Very well!" He snarled, forming a black crystalline sword with his magic.
Luna dashed fore-ward, sending a hind-hoof at his chest. Sombra wheezed, backing up into a battle stance, sending the sword crashing down at her good wing. Luna cried out as it was severed, and more blood leaked out of her shoulders, turning her blue coat purple as the substance mixed with her fur. She reared up, slamming her hooves into him despite the searing pain in her wings, or wing. Sombra rammed into the floor due to her alicorn strength, and coughed up a small pool of blood.
Luna towered over him, a furious expression smeared onto her face. She smacked the sword out of his magic, and threw a punch at his face. Sombra grunted.
"That is just brute!" He hissed, kicking her in the chest.
"Look who's talking, cannibal!" She spat back.
Luna reared up once again, preparing to give him a harsh blow, but Sombra rolled out of the way. He blasted her in the wither with his aura, dissolving her maimed wing into ash. Luna bit her lip in agony, trying her hardest to tough it out. Sombra licked his chops in delight at her pain.
GORE SCENE OVER
"Your pain is delicious..Just not as good as your fear." He rumbled, struggling to stand up. He igniting his horn again.
Luna cried out as he shot a spell at her, attempting to dodge it by instinctively flying up. But she realized a second too late that she didn't have wings any-more. She let out another shout as her eyes turned a pale green. Sombra chuckled as she began to weep.
"No! Tia, get a way from the Tantabus!" She cried, reaching a hoof out to Sombra to either hug or touch him.
Sombra eyed the hoof, and side-stepped it, flashing the possessed mare a victorious and toothy smile. "I see..Day-Breaker is the dark side of your sister? And this Tantabus..Very intriguing. I would like to hear more about it..But at another time." He circled her slowly like a panther stalking his prey.
Twilight struggled in her bonds. "Release her Sombra." She commanded.
The umbrum chuckled at her. "Why should I listen to you?"
"...."
The battle down below showed the yaks slowly loosing to the umbrum. Sombra grinned from his spot high above them, licking his chops again as Luna's fears fed his magic. A bulk yak in silver armour galloped at him, roaring like an infuriated bear.
Sombra shot a crystal wall around the yak, trapping it swiftly. It looked around confusedly before ramming into one part of the wall furiously.
The stallion rolled his eyes, and cast another spell on the cage, making it slowly close in on the yak. It cried out as the crystals began to slowly and painfully crush him.
"I'm sick of waiting for Sombra!" Chrysalis shouted, flying into the air.
"I am the leader here! You promised you would submit to me, and I will not have you rebel. Not now. Sombra has clearly been defeated." The helhest king spat, eyeing the sun as it slowly reached its peak.
"I say we get the zombie army, then try our luck on the Equestrians." Tirek pipped up.
"I say you shut up!" Chrysalis snapped. "Your such a kiss up, a mothers boy!"
A small changeling flinched. "Is that bad mommy?" He squeaked.
Chrysalis descended, and stroked it lovingly. "Not to you my precious little baby! Whose mommies' prized larva? You are, you are, oh yes you are!" She cooed, snuggling it.
Tirek scoffed. "Oh wow. I'm beginning to wish I stayed with that annoying filly Cozy Glow." He huffed.
"SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP!" A changeling whined from somewhere suddenly. "Mommy! Pharynx said I was too weak to defeat as much ponies as he could."
"LIAR!" A changeling with purple eyes bellowed. "I'm over here! And of course I can beat up more ponies than you! I'm the best changeling out of all you cream puffs! Well..Besides the queen... I-I-I'm second best!"
The changelings began to riot, and attack one another.
Chrysalis groaned. "Patience my children. I know that the foolish umbrum Sombra is taking forever, but we must be patient. If we start fighting each other, then who will be left to fight the ponies?"
The changelings ceased their scuffling.
"Your majesty," the helhest guard spoke up to his master, "perhaps we should-"
"THE GATES WILL BE OPENED IN ONE MINUTE! JUST WAIT, AND QUIT YOUR WHINING!" The king snapped.
Tirek and the helhest guard shared a look and took a few cautious steps back. This plan of theirs was already falling to ashes before it was even born.
"Your majesty, it has been an hour, and the yaks are yet to come. Perhaps we should go now?" The guard asked, nervously twisting his helmet in his hooves.
Celestia, adorned with armour as brilliant as the sun, and a golden battle axe nodded. "Perhaps we should. Thank you for your suggestion Copper Blaze."
The guard nodded, and took his place among the lined up creatures. The earth ponies and beasts unable to fly sat in front, unicorns and Hippo-griffin's second, Pegasi and Dragon in the back.
"It's a pity. We could have had such an unstoppable force if the yaks where here." An earth-pony said to a hippo-griff with no wings.
He nodded in agreement. "The ponies know what they are doing. I just wish my wings hadn't been torn off in a bear fight a couple of months back."
Celestia smiled at the conversing creatures, and turned back to the other monarchs.
"Are we all ready?" She asked.
Lord Ember, bearing blue armour that was extra spiky around her spines nodded, and drew a spear from her back. Spike who was standing next to her gave his friend a thumbs up and a pat on the back. "Good luck!" He told her before running off to join Rarity and the others.
Queen Novo of the Hippo-griff's was wearing silver armour, and held a sword at the ready. "Let's kick these monsters back to hell where they belong!" She roared, flying up into the air.
Thorax flinched beneath his golden armour. "My people aren't monsters, they've just been corrupted by Chrysalis is all..." He muttered, looking down at his hooves.
"Attention all creatures!" Celestia said in her 'Royal Canterlot' voice. "As it has come to pass, there is another foe out to destroy our home for their own selfish purposes. The helhest's are very powerful despite their weak appearance. The changeling's are also cunning, so before we leave, I will put a special marking on your neck so you know who is a changeling and who is not. The umbrum are terrifying shadow creatures, also able to impersonate anyone they wish. They feed off your fears, and that makes them stronger. Your best hope would be to face your fears now. Please stand brave. Anyone who dies today, remember that you stood strong and loyal today. You will be honoured forever."
The creatures cheered at the sun princess' speech.
"Now lets get out there and fight like the beautiful bitches we are!" Ember added from behind her.
Celestia stifled a giggle, and flew up into the air. "It is time, and I am afraid the yaks and griffons will not be joining us." She turned and faced out to the horizon. "Please be alright Luna." She said to herself.
VARIOUS GORE SCENES THROUGH-OUT.
Rabia slammed her body into the yak prince named Rutherford, and he let out a cry of agony as he fell onto a crystal. It stabbed into his side, and blood gushed out of his wound. "You pathetic excuse for a ruler!" She jeered, summoning up another crystal that speared his heart.
The yak prince wheezed, and looked up lifelessly as the umbrum towering over him. "I fought..Hard...Yak prince...honoured for gener...gen..generations to..to..t.to come..." His voice faded, and he shut his eyes, falling into an eternal peace.
Rabia smirked at her handiwork, and looked up to see how the rest of the umbrum where fairing. 'Excellent! These foolish yaks have failed to defeat us. Soon we will rise up and join the helhest king in taking over Equestria, and ridding the world of disgusting love magic and ponies.' She glanced over to her son, who had pinned Luna to the ground. 'It appears my Sombra has dealt with the pesky alicorn...hmm... very good my son..'
The last yak fell then, crying out as his eyes were gouged out by shadowy crystals.
"Great job Ira!" Rabia cooed to her daughter who was ripping the yaks' body apart.
the little monster glanced up at her mother, and gave her a hideous smile. "Thank you mother!" She tore out a hunk of muscle, and began to munch on it. Blood trickled down her chin, and pieces of the yak flew everywhere when she spoke.
Rabia sighed in displeasure to her daughters eating. Ira was a very messy eater, and it irked the umbrum mother to no end-a secretive pet peeve. "Please...Wipe your mouth." She offered her little umbrum a piece of a yak's clothing.
Ira blushed and wiped her mouth. "Sorry mother." More tissue went flying every-where.
Rabia turned away, and inspected the prisoners at the top of the alter with Sombra. Luna was missing her wings. The rest seemed fine. She smiled in a sadists glee at the blood oozing out of the moon sovereigns withers.
"Forget the second sacrifice for now. It's time for us to go to the draugr king." She commanded the umbrum.
The Punishment of the Villains
"Luna?" Twilight pleaded, squirming in her bonds.
Luna stood where she was hours ago, mouthing stuff, and sometimes screaming, eyes a sick green. Tears streamed down her blue cheeks, hitting the bloodied ground with soft *drip drop* sounds.
"It's no use. We've been defeated by Sombra." Apple Jack said, sagging slightly.
Rainbow nodded in agreement, staring out at the dead yak army, and the now quiet room, aside from Luna occasionally making a sound. "Just give up Twilight. We lost, they won. When Sombra comes back, we'll all be sacrificed." Her voice was monotone, dull.
Twilight wiggled some more. "I'm NOT giving up! We've always won, always prevailed! WE are the heroes! The heroes NEVER fail!" She managed to squirm out of her bonds some more. "And we aren't getting sacrificed! Not today!" She wiggled again, and her fore-hooves were free.
She pushed the rest of the ropes off her body, and stood, rubbing a rash that had developed during her time tied up. She moved to Apple Jack, and began to untie her. "We can defeat them! The magic of friendship is everything!"
Apple Jack stood, and smiled at Twilight. "I guess I needed to hear that Twi. Thanks."
Twilight hugged her friend, and moved to free Rainbow Dash.
Once every-pony was free, they took a step toward Luna.
"Snap out of it Luna! Please! It's Sombra's magic." Twilight pleaded, shaking the princess.
"No, no...NO TIA!" Luna collapsed onto the ground, and began to weep.
"Luna! Luna listen to me!" Twilight pleaded. "Face your fears! The Tantabus is gone, and Celestia will never become Day-Breaker! Its just an illusion!"
Luna calmed down slightly, and her eyes became normal. She blinked at Twilight, the tears ceasing. "Huh? What?" She looked over at Twilight. "Thank you Twilight, you saved me!" She hugged her fellow princess.
"It was nothing." Twilight smiled, and patted her friend on the back. "But now, we need to stop that umbrum army."
Luna pointed at the yaks. "How? Twilight, they defeated the yaks in a good half hour. We can't defeat them alone."
Cadence waved her hand. "Actually, they can't stand love magic. If you can find the Crystal Heart, I'm sure you could easily defeat them. I noticed that when ever I lit my horn, they shrank away from the cage."
Twilight smacked herself in the face. "It's so obvious! Why else did Sombra explode when we used the heart on him years ago? He is part umbrum, so it will hurt him!"
"Then lets find it!" Rainbow roared, dashing out of the once beautiful throne room.
Twilight, Apple Jack, and Luna shared a look with one another before rushing off to join their friend in the hunt. This was not going to be easy...
"Rise with me my brethren, and we will destroy the pony kind!" The helhest king concluded on his long speech/pep talk.
The now freed helhest, and changelings cheered, rancid screeching filling the air.
"What about Sombra?" Chrysalis hissed to Tirek. "How are we going to do with out the umbrum?"
"Provided, Luna has the bat pony army, and Celestia her army, we should be even in numbers." Tirek calculated.
"Actually, the princess has requested help from the yaks. We managed to defeat them though." Sombra's voice pipped up from behind them.
"Sombra, you've arrived at last?" The helhest king demanded.
"No, I'm still in the Crystal Empire." He said, voice dripping with sarcasm. "Of course I'm here. We made a deal."
"Excellent." The helhest leader snapped. "Get those hideous beast's in line. Your an hour late Sombra."
"Did you now hear the part about the yaks?"
"I did! Get them in line now!"
Sombra rolled his eyes, and walked off, the umbrum trailing after him.
"Don't you think we should give the Umbrum half an hour to rest a little?" Tirek asked. "They just fought the yaks, and walked all the way here from the Empire. They must be exhausted."
"I know that. That's why you, are going yo give them the energy they need to fight."
"What?"
Tirek let out a scream as he was tossed into a sea of umbrum.
"Foods on!" The helhest guard hollered to them, Chrysalis laughing her head off in the background.
"Halt!" Celestia commanded the army of creatures behind her.
The beasts ceased moving, and eyed the army opposing them.
"King Caballo, King Sombra, Lord Tirek, and Queen Chrysalis." She greeted the four villains leading the swarm behind them.
"Greetings princess. I'm surprised you managed to escape." King Caballo hissed, his foul voice deafening in the ears of the creatures. "And I see you've managed to get the aid of Hippo-griffs, and Dragons. Impressive. Its just a shame there are no yaks."
"Enough talking. It's time to fight!" A dragon butted in, flying at the villains.
Chrysalis blasted a shot at it, holding it in place, and brought it down to Tirek. "How is this tasty little morsel? I'll suck the love out of it, you the magic, and Sombra the fears?"
Tirek grinned, and grabbed it, inhaling sharply. The dragon squirmed as the centaur ate his magic like a vacuum cleaner, growing bigger. He tossed it to Chrysalis, who enacted the same thing, and then to Sombra.
"Delicious." The king hissed when he was finished. He raised a hoof, and brought it down onto the dragons face, killing him immediately.
Ember roared in anger, and flew up. "HOW DARE YOU!" She bellowed, breathing flames out of her nostrils. She dragged the fire over the front line of the army opposing her, and a couple of changelings dropped to the ground, screaming as their bodies where melted. And then the war began, beasts out for each other's blood.
Celestia scanned the sea of grappling monsters in hope to take out one of the leaders.
"Who you looking for?" A husky voice hissed from behind her.
She turned around, and came face to face with Chrysalis. The changeling queen slammed Celestia in the face with magic.
"You will not prevail Chrysalis. No matter how big of an army, or how much power you have!" Celestia snorted, and blasted her opponent with a yellow beam of magic.
"It's a shame. Luna was telling me the same thing, and you should see how she turned out." Sombra called out.
GORE SCENE
Celestia let out a cry of agony as a sharp kick hit her in the leg. She turned around, only to get blasted in the chest with dark magic. Crystal's began to eat away at her armour, and into her flesh. Blood swiftly began to drench her beautiful soft pink/white coat. Chrysalis blasted her with another beam of magic, and gave Sombra a wicked grin. "This is too easy. Clearly you've been sitting on your ass too long to become a match for us Celestia."
Celestia growled, and pulled out her battle-axe, swinging it at Chrysalis. It slashed against the changelings green armour, just grazing her holey hoof.
Chrysalis flew up, and cast a spell, creating an iron battle-hammer. Celestia shot into the air just as the hammer so narrowly missed her face. She circled above Chrysalis before swooping down and sending the axe whizzing at her back.
Chrysalis ducked and head-butted Celestia. The alicorn grunted.
"If you think flailing that weapon around is going to do you any good, your wrong!" Sombra jeered from below, sending a blast of magic at her.
"Enough!" Celestia hissed. "What have you done to Luna?"
"Just a couple of slight adjustments to make our little fight fair." He replied, shooting another blast at her.
Celestia went flying into someone.
She looked up to see Chrysalis smirking at her. "Get off the battle ground Celestia. This is for us serious folk, not little alicorns who are pretending to be of importance." The changeling let go of the alicorn, sending her tumbling to the ground.
Sombra caught Celestia in his hooves, and shot her with magic in the belly where she wasn't protected. Celestia grimaced, and curled up in Sombra's arms to prevent any further attacks on her stomach.
"Enough game's now. Chrysalis, would you like to do the honours?" He cooed.
The changeling descended gently, and rubbed Celestia on the cheek. "I think this princess has a lot of love, and fear, and magic on her. It would be such a shame to waste a valuable food source."
Sombra grinned, and dropped the mare onto the ground. "How about we brutally torture her then?" He asked.
Chrysalis grinned, and rested the battle onto the ground, spreading a bubble of protection around the trio.
Sombra summoned up a gauntlet, and removed Celestia's armour with his magic.
Celestia cried in anguish as the gauntlet ripped her skin and wings. Blood seeped out of her injuries, cloaking the ground around her in red. She vomited up a pool of gore, and Chrysalis laughed with glee. "Your too weak and saintly to stop us, aren't you?" She jeered, grabbing a wing with her magic, and plucking the feathers off it.
Sombra set the bloodied gauntlet down, and picked up her other wing, and summoning up a skinning knife. Slowly, he dragged it over her soft plumage, destroying what was left completely.
Celestia's guards, and a couple of hippo-griff began to pound on the bubble in vain, hoping to try and stop the villains from any more assaults on their sun monarch.
"You will be stopped, and punished." Celestia promised weakly.
Sombra ceased skinning her wing, and jabbed the knife into her leg. "Oh shut-up Celestia. I've waited far too long for the chance of revenge. Don't think I'm like you and your sister, who sit on your fat asses all day long. I've practised Martial Arts, magic, a lot of things. I've honed my skills, and learned some new things. Now I get to finally have a real life punching bag." He stood, and Chrysalis tore off one last flight feather before backing away.
Sombra reared up, and jumped, spinning his body in an anime motion, and sending a hind-hoof crashing into her jaw.
Chrysalis laughed cruelly as Celestia stumbled to the ground helplessly. The sun monarch panted heavily as Sombra threw a punch at her gut, and she fell onto her side weakly.
"That felt good." Sombra said, swinging his tail slightly.
Celestia bit her lip, and flinched as the villains neared.
"Any last words Celestia?" Chrysalis cooed, slamming her battle hammer in front of the Sun monarchs face.
Celestia opened her mouth to say something, but a blinding flash of blue light in the distance stopped her.
Umbrum began to scream in agony as their shadowy bodies where shredded apart. Sombra grimaced at the light. "What is that?" He asked Chrysalis.
She shrugged, and a silhouette holding a silhouette came into view, A heart shaped crystal along with them.
"The Crystal Heart!?" Sombra cried, cowering away. "Get back!" He summoned a crystal, and jumped into it, or tried to. It faded away before he could enter it.
Chrysalis began to sweat as she fought to keep the force field from breaking. "A little help?" She panted.
Sombra joined her in protecting themselves as two more princesses landed.
"Come out and fight us, coward." Luna huffed.
Celestia noticed her sisters bloodied withers instantly. "Lulu!" She sobbed.
Luna locked eyes with her sister, and gasped in horror. "How. Dare. YOU!" She roared.
The remaining monsters and ponies around them ceased fighting at Luna's shout. They all turned to watch what might become of Sombra and Chrysalis. The allies of Celestia backed away from the shield.
Luna's horn began to ignite, a powerful aura surrounding it, and Sombra and Chrysalis looked at each-other in panic. Twilight lit her horn as well, and the duo prepared to penetrate the shield. Before they could shoot, however, Two huge red hands grabbed them, raising them into the air.
"Just what do you think you are doing?" Tirek demanded.
Twilight grunted as Tirek began to absorb her aura, turning her coat into a dull, unhealthy looking grey. She screamed in agony as her cutie-mark was ripped off her flank, joining her magic as it entered his mouth. He released her, and began inhaling Luna's powers. The mare shot beams of magic at him, but it only helped him eat her aura faster. She let out a cry of pain as he squeezed her body sharply, his figure growing larger by the minute.
"Luna!" Celestia cried out from the shield. "Twilight!"
Tirek cried out in delight as the alicorns aura filled his body. Then her turned to the army opposing him, and fired.
The Punishment of the Villains
"Celestia. Luna. Twilight. Cadence." King Caballo greeted the four princesses.
Luna scowled, but the rest of the princesses looked absolutely defeated.
Somehow Tirek had managed to fit inside of the Canterlot palace, and he stood next to the other three villains.
"You have failed your pathetic attempt to stop us." Chrysalis jeered. "We have finally won!"
She began to dance around the room, laughing like a manic. The other three ignored her, and looked at the princesses.
"Now Sombra," Rabia started, peering over his shoulder. "When the time is right, we will complete the ritual. Which one suits you best?"
Sombra looked slightly green again at the thought of eating another heart.
'Which one is the smallest? Twilight. Twilight Sparkle.' He looked up at Twilight.
"Twilight Sparkle." He said.
Rabia grinned. "Excellent choice! It looks like she has a plump, juicy heart. Young ponies are always better to eat than older ponies."
Sombra gagged when his mother wasn't looking. Twilight shot him an icy glare, but said nothing.
"You will also need a wife." Rabia started.
"But mother!" He whined.
"No buts. A queen will be suitable. If you wish, you may pick one instead of me." Rabia pointed a hoof at Chrysalis. "She's pretty smashing is I do say so my self, plus she already knows how to rule properly." She said in a more quiet tone.
Sombra waited for his mom to look away again before gabbing his throat and attempting to choke himself. Tirek chuckled as the stallion gagged violently.
King Caballo turned away, and grimaced.
"Quit it Sombra. Your full grown now." Rabia scolded.
Sombra ceased rolling on the floor, and stood up again. Chrysalis finally quit dancing, and was taunting the princesses.
"We didn't quite finish our little torture time, did we?" She cooed to Celestia.
"Do what you like with the princesses, just keep them alive. I'm going to check on a few things." Caballo said, turning and walking out of the throne room.
"I am going to eat the fears of the Canterlot citizens. You've earned these royal bitches." Rabia praised her son.
Sombra nodded, and turned towards Cadence, fire in his eyes. Tirek grinned.
"I call princess Twilight!" He jeered, grabbing the purple mare with a beefy claw.
"I want Amore's heir!" Sombra cried, pulling the love princess closer to him.
"I want to finish plucking Celestia's wings!" Chrysalis chimed in with glee.
Tirek began to squeeze Twilight, and a couple of stray feathers shot out. She let out a cry of anguish as her life was squeezed out of her.
Just when she thought she might get crushed to death, he relaxed his grip on her. Twilight blew a sigh of relief, just seconds before he began to squeeze again.
Cadence grimaced as her worst fears came to play-Flurry Heart and Shining Armour getting tortured right before her eyes. She cried out in fear of her family, and crumpled onto the floor, helplessly crying.
Chrysalis chuckled wickedly as she dragged a skinning knife over Celestia's wings. The mare cried out in agony as blood shot out of her once beautiful plumage, drenching it in her own sticky red substance.
Luna gawked in horror as her fellow's were tormented mercilessly. She looked to Twilight, who was getting her body pinned down by a nearby boulder. Cadence who stood alone by the thrones....Alone? She spun around, only to come face to face with Sombra, who grinned maliciously at her.
"Get back you fiend!" She cried, backing up slightly.
"Relax princess, I only came to finish up our game." Sombra gave her a hard push, and she fell to the floor with a *thud*. He ran a hoof over her cheek gently, and dropped his muzzle closer. Luna flinched as his fangs sunk into her neck. She could feel him drinking her blood. She bit her lip as he sank his teeth in deeper before jerking out. "How come your drinking my blood if you don't like the taste of pony hearts?" She demanded.
Sombra chuckled, and licked his canines. "A heart, and one's blood are two different things Luna. Have you ever eaten a heart? It tastes foul, especially when you are forced to eat it raw. Blood however, tastes metallic, a flavor I am rather fond of."
Luna was sorely tempted to kick him in a very specific stallion weak spot, but that would only anger the villains, and draw more attention to her,-something she didn't want.
Sombra stepped off her body, and summoned a skinning knife.
'Why on earth are those even legal? Much less here?' Luna pondered.
Sombra grabbed her hoof in his, and ceased the knife in his other, placing it up at her shoulder.
Luna cried out as he dragged it down slowly, and the strip of her hide which Sombra was peeling began to curl, revealing a soft pink tissue beneath. Blood dribbled down her leg, and onto the floor, covering the tissue and muscle swiftly. Sombra ran the knife all the way to her hoof, and then set it aside. Luna flinched at the disgusting sight of her leg.
"Are you ready?" Sombra asked, grabbing the strip of her hide with his magic. Luna's pupils shrunk when she realized what he was going to do.
Her voice rang out in the throne room as he tore it off mercilessly. She cried out again, and panted heavily, unable to bear the pain.
Chrysalis looked up from her handiwork, and over to Sombra, and a pained Luna. She grinned, and continued to torture Celestia, who watched the scene between her sister, and the tyrant helplessly.
"STOP!" She pleaded. "PLEASE! NO MORE!" She curled up into a ball, and began to weep. "I'M SORRY!"
Sombra rolled his eyes, and readied the knife again, this time dragging it down her back.
'Do I hate her this much?' Sombra asked himself as he continued to skin Luna. 'Is this even worth it in the end?'
Luna began to cry even louder. "PLEASE STOP! IT HURTS!!"
Sombra chuckled to himself. 'She'll get even. I know it.' He dropped the skinning tool, and eyed the battered mare with interest.
"It's supposed to hurt Luna!" He rolled his eyes and chuckled again. But secretly, he pitied her.
Looking around a bit, Sombra began to feel sick. 'Is this truly how a villain works? Is this what we are supposed to do to the heroes?' He looked back at Luna, feeling alarmed. 'And what of Cozy Glow? Surly she is in the dark all alone...Hehehe...' His guilt faded away again, and he couldn't help but jeer at Luna.
"Do you have any Idea how bad of frost-bite I had when I was in ice for a thousand years?" He asked her. "If you had minded your own business, and left my Empire alone, I wouldn't be doing this to you, you lazy ass cow. All you do is raise the moon-BIG DEAL! You brought this onto yourself."
Luna continued to sob, but raised her head up to look at him. His insides squirmed slightly at her pained expression. He hadn't expected they would make it this far, and they had. Without thinking, he threw a hard punch at her face. Luna cried out as a couple of her teeth went flying onto the ground. She sprawled out onto the floor, breathing shakily.
Meanwhile, Tirek set Twilight onto the ground gently, and then slammed a big rock down onto her left hind-leg. Twilight screamed in pain as it shattered into a mass of bloody carnage.
"You fools really think that friendship will save you? That love and admiration is everything you need to survive?" Tirek jeered, yanking the mare up. Twilight's head lolled to one side, and she closed her eyes weakly. "you aren't a freakin changeling."
"I'm sorry if we angered you Tirek." She said quietly. "We should've given you a chance."
Tirek threw the alicorn against a wall, and there was a sickening *Crack* sound that came from her back. Twilight cried out in pain as she fell from the wall, and onto the floor.
"No you aren't." Tirek told her. "You just want me to stop hurting you." He picked her up, and squeezed.
Twilight looked him in the eye, and Tirek felt slightly sick. 'Does she really deserve his?' He asked himself. 'All she did was stop me, protect her home and loved ones.' He looked at the mare, who was weakly panting in his grasp, then to the other two villains.
"Nah." He thought aloud. He squeezed her again. "This is what happens when you fail Twilight Sparkle."
Twilight bit her lip, and tears began to stream down her face.
Chrysalis smacked her lips together as she finished sucking the love out of Celestia. The unconscious mare fell to the ground pathetically, and Chrysalis moved onto Cadence, who was still sobbing uncontrollably on the ground.
"Hey," Chrysalis cooed in a motherly voice. "It's okay Cadence, it's gonna be okay..."
Cadence looked up, just after Chrysalis shape-shifted into Shining Armour. He grabbed her face, and pulled her closer.
Cadence leaned in, and began to wipe her tears, the green fading out of her eyes.
"Really?" She sniffed.
Shining Armour's soft smile hardened, and he laughed. "No."
Chrysalis regained her rightful appearance, and circled the alicorn, who began to tremble again. "Why would it? We finally won. You'll be traumatized of even seeing a chunk of metal, or a changeling when I'm done with you!" She cackled, summoning up a metal rod covered in spikes.
Cadence shrieked as the rod came crashing down onto her withers. She tumbled to the ground, and gasped as the spikes dug into her hide. Chrysalis pulled the rod up, and along with it, a huge chunk of pink fur came.
Blood seeped out of Cadence's shoulders, and onto the ground, where it pooled beneath her, and covered her pink fur.
Chrysalis laughed wickedly, and smacked her in the side of the neck with her metal gauntlet. Cadence flew into the thrones, and a *crunch sound* emitted from her ribs.
Cadence mouthed something, and a look of pleading crossed her features as Chrysalis approached.
The changeling Queen hesitated. 'That did look pretty painful...' She thought. She grimaced at the torture King Caballo had put her through before she had joined his team. 'Is this really worth it in the end?'
She eyed Cadence. The mare was crying. 'Typical ponies. Too weak to stand up and fight. Too bad I'm full, or I would've sucked this bitch dry-she has a lot of love on her.' Chrysalis raised the rod again, and dug it into the alicorns flight-feathers, spinning it around. Cadence cried out in anguish as her feathers either exploded, or snapped like twigs. Blood caked the duo as Chrysalis carried on with her tortures.
She sighed as her black figure was drenched in Cadence's blood. 'I will never ever say that quote "I'm gonna bathe in your blood" ever again.' She yanked on the rod, and it detached the alicorn's wing. 'Too hard. Oops. That's enough now.' She dropped the iron gauntlet, and turned away from Cadence.
Sombra stood up then, and locked eyes with Chrysalis. "I need to go." He explained, his face rather green. He rushed out of the room as fast as he could at a walking speed.
Chrysalis eyed a nearly dead Luna. "Whatever." She muttered.
Tirek threw Twilight over his shoulders. "Same." He said.. "It's too cramped in here. My neck hurts."
Chrysalis flew into the air, and pushed Cadence off the thrones. She sat down in them, and smirked at her handi-work. "Just you wait." She cooed to the princesses that lay groaning, or crying on the ground. "Next time you can watch as we torture your petty friends."

The Punishment of the Villains
The throne room was quiet. All four alicorns of Equestria lay in there, defeated. Luna rubbed her skinned body pathetically, Celestia her wings, Twilight well...EVERYTHING, And Cadence her shredded back.
"We are immortal...right?" Twilight asked in a weak voice. "We can't die?"
Celestia groaned, and muttered something under the lines of; "I wish I wasn't a goddess."
"Of course your immortal, unless you receive a couple more fatal blows in various spots princesses." Chrysalis chided from her spot on Celestia's throne. "Other-wise it's virtually impossible to kill you."
Luna hissed at her, and attempted to stand.
"Lulu! Please!" Celestia pleaded. "Please rest."
Luna collapsed to the ground with a grunt, and looked at Chrysalis pathetically.
"I will KILL YOU!" She cried, her hoarse voice ringing in the Changeling's ears.
"Ya, I'm sure you will."
Tirek looked down at a small filly that had been crushed beneath a pile of rubble. He picked her up in his claws, and poked her, bringing it closer. The little corpse was cold, and devoid of life. He grunted, and tossed it over his shoulder. Earth-ponies.
A couple of elder ponies stampeded as fast as they could away from him, grunting and wheezing. It was all just white noise. An old grey stallion with a white mane, and a shrivelled body tripped over a pile of derbis, and looked up at Tirek angrily. He shouted some a word that Tirek didn't understand, and threw his cane at the demon/horse.
Tirek snarled as it smacked his fore-leg, and stomped on the old man, causing blood fly everywhere.
"Tirek." A voice called right next to him.
Tirek spooked , and turned his head to see Sombra flying next to him.
His black shadowy wings curled and puffed as he glided next to the centaur, occasionally flapping to stay aloft.
"What, your an alicorn now?" The demon/horse demanded.
"Ew no! This is just a skill I learned a while ago. I never get to use it often, but it's a nice view up here. Plus sitting clouds are very comfy, and a great way to stalk one's prey."
"So you sit on clouds and stalk ponies?"
"...Only to feed off of their fears..And maybe to abduct some appealing mares..."
He fell silent, and flapped his wings again.
Tirek and Sombra moved out of the demolished city, and into a dead looking field. A couple of helhest sentries saluted at them as they past.
"Did you think we would actually win?" Sombra asked suddenly.
"No. I was half expecting the alicorns to get angry, and destroy us back there. I was sorely surprised when they didn't."
Sombra fell silent again, and looked down at the dreary landscape.
"Well, I never thought my dear Celestia would ever fail to you two bone-heads." A quirky voice pipped up.
A bright flash of light appeared, along with a draconequus.
"Discord." Tirek greeted grimly.
Discord hovered in the air in front of the two villains. "Hello stupid." He greeted back to Tirek.
Sombra stifled a chuckle, and attempted to keep a straight face.
"If it was you that hurt my dear Celestia-" The draconequus started, his edgy voice turning grim.
"It was Queen Chrysalis who tormented that bitch." Tirek cut off. "I got the honours of Twilight."
Discord narrowed his eyes, and electricity began to spark out of his mismatched claws/paws.
"Where is Chrysalis?" He growled, looking back and forth between them.
Sombra rolled his eyes. "Do you really expect us to tell you? Take a wild guess dragon horse."
Discord locked eyes with the umbrum, and snapped his fingers, making a bright pink tutu appear on him. Sombra's eyes bulged. Discord let out a mischievous laugh, and wiped a joyful tear from his eye.
"You look priceless!" He croaked.
"HEY!" Sombra yelped, tugging on it viciously. "GET IT OFF!"
"I will only remove it if you tell me where Chrysalis is." Discord's voice fell grim again, and he crossed his arms.
"In the castle you idiot! Where else?"
Discord snapped his fingers again, and disappeared, leaving Sombra and Tirek, but not holding his promise about the dress situation.
"Help me get this abomination off!" Sombra howled, tearing a piece of the tutu with his canines.
Tirek giggled, and walked away from Sombra, leaving him to deal with it.
"Celle?" Discord called, opening the door to the throne room.
He spotted the white alicorn a couple of feet away, and rushed towards her. A green blast of magic narrowly missed his claw.
Discord looked up to see Chrysalis glaring at him. "What did you do?" he snarled.
"Oh you know, a couple of things here, a little bit of things there. Typical villain stuff."
Discord shot a beam of chaos toward the changeling. Chrysalis flew up, and blasted him back.
"You could've joined us you traitor!" She spat, circling him over head. "But instead you chose to poison yourself with the ways of friendship. You disgust me."
"Never!" Discord hissed, flying up and ramming her into a wall. "I would never join you, you abhorrent slut!"
Chrysalis let out a grunt, and fell to the ground. Discord prepared to demolish her on the spot when a beam of dark magic shot past him, and hit the wall. A small amount of debris toppled to the floor. Everyone in the room turned over to see Rabia glaring at Discord.
"Not another move dragon horse." She snarled in a threatening tone.
Discord frowned, and turned to attack her instead. Rabia sunk into the floor, and appeared again right in front of him. She shot out a blue tendril, which wrapped around his dragon talon foot. Discord let out a yelp as He was raised off the ground, and tossed into a nearby pillar.
Rabia glided towards Chrysalis, and offered a hoof to help her up. Chrysalis accepted the hoof, and stood shakily.
"Thanks?" She grumbled under her breath.
Just then Tirek and Sombra burst through the door, Sombra finally free of his dress.
"Where is your armour?" Rabia demanded. "A king should never be without his royal clothing."
"There was a slight adjustment to my attire a short while ago." He snarled, glaring daggers at Discord.
The draconequus looked up, and let out a soft chuckle. "You are such a clothes horse." He deadpanned weakly. "I figured you might like your dress."
"What shall we do with the traitor?" Tirek asked.
Rabia looked out a window. "What ever you please children of the darkness." She said, morphing into a puff of blue/black shadow, and slinking out of the room.
Chrysalis grinned, and grabbed him with her magic. "Let's play hot potato, with a dragon horse."
Discord was hurled into the air at Sombra, who caught him with his magic, tossing him over to Tirek. Tirek grabbed him carelessly with his claws, accidentally tearing open Discords belly.
The draconequus cried out as Tirek's claws dug into him some more. Then Tirek threw him back to Chrysalis, who giggled with sick delight.
"What's the matter Dissy?" She asked, jabbing a hoof into his eye. "Not enjoying yourself?"
"Please stop!" Twilight called out finally. "Your hurting him!" She crawled up to Tirek, and grabbed his massive hoof. A pleading feature caked across her face.
Tirek looked down curiously at Twilight, then raised his leg, shaking it violently to remove the mare. "Hmm..." He pondered his options.
"Use me instead!" She begged. "Please?"
Chrysalis face lit up with delight, and she dropped Discord. "Well boys?" She asked.
Tirek picked up Twilight with his fingers, and hurled her as hard as he could towards Chrysalis.
The game began again, this time a lot more rough. Twilight nearly puked as she was tossed around like a bean bag. Her head began to feel dizzy, and black dots infected her vision. Vile rose up in her throat, but she tamped down her illness, and aloud the villains to toss her about.
"Is this fun?" Sombra hissed into her ear as he caught her with his hooves.
Twilight gave him a pitiful look a fraction of a second before she was air born again. Out of instinct, her wings shot out, and she glided weakly to Tirek.
The centaur ceased the game by holding her a bit longer than usual. "I'm bored of this now." He explained.
Chrysalis and Sombra flew over to inspect Twilight, each perching on one of Tirek's beefy arms.
"Poor princess." Chrysalis jeered, moving gracefully along Tirek's muscle. "You lost. We won. And tomorrow, your friends will be tormented to death by yours truly. Any. Way. We. Want."
"We should go by their fears." Sombra suggested.
"We should hurt their loved one's right in front of them." Chrysalis added.
"We should suck them dry of their magic, then make them do stuff they are too weak to do!" Tirek exclaimed.
Twilight groaned, and her head lolled to one side, an increasing headache building up from the villains bickering.
"How about this; We kill their loved one's, suck their magic, scare them, then start the torture! Each. Day. For. A. Week. Before we kill them off finally, in the most awful way possible." Chrysalis suggested.
The other two agreed, and their bickering turned into evil laughter. Tirek gripped Twilight harder, and the mare let out a soft groan, hoping at least one of them would be merciful. Not such luck. Chrysalis grabbed her by the mane, and tore out a huge chunk of her bangs. Twilight cried out as she was squeezed harder, and beaten across the face.
Discord watched helplessly from the floor, a pool of vomit drenching his fur, along with blood that oozed out of his torn stomach. He flinched as a sudden realization came into his mind;
He wasn't going to make it.
The Punishment of the Villains
"I say we kill her on spot." A familiar voice huffed.
Twilight groaned softly, and felt something soft beneath her. 'A bed?' She wondered.
Twilight opened her eyes slightly, and spotted four iron clad grey hooves in front of her face. They stood on a linoleum, mere inches away from a bunch of red fibre's covering half her visage.'Not a bed, a carpet.' She realized, opening her eyes all the way. 'What is going on?' The room was dark.
She looked up to see Sombra staring down at her. "Your awake now princess." He looked over her body. "I told you she wasn't dead, and you wasted my time."
Twilight rolled her head to see who he was talking to. Chrysalis.
"Well how I'm I supposed to know? I never learned that sort of stuff."
"I told you, If the body is warm, they're still alive, if it is cold and stiff, you killed them."
Chrysalis rolled her eyes, and nudged Twilight's face with a hoof.
"You stupid little sh*t." She snarled. "You puked on me!"
Twilight stifled a giggled, and tried to stand, but something hit her hard on the neck, and she fell back down with a grunt.
Sombra scowled, and lifted her with his magic. "We don't want the little princess to escape like the rest now do we?" He asked.
Twilight's pupil's shrunk when she saw him raise a chain with his aura. He began to bind her with it, a little too tight, and Twilight grimaced as it dug into her cracked and splintered body. 'The other's escaped?' She pondered. 'What did I truly miss?'
"How long have I been out for?" She asked.
Sombra shrugged. "Two to three days tops."
Chrysalis placed a lock on the chains when Sombra finished tying her up, and grinned maliciously.
"Don't worry Twilight, today you get to witness each of your friends tortures."
Sombra lit his horn, and another chain came into view, revealing six other mares, and a dragon. All gang chained.
"Twilight!" They chimed in unison when they saw her., instantly perking up. "Your still alive?"
"Your still Alive? I thought you were all-"
"Oh please," Sombra interrupted. "your here to get tormented, not for some stupid reunion."
The ponies and dragon glared at Sombra.
"Do you want the honours my dear Chrissy?" Sombra cooed to the changeling queen, completely ignoring the icy stares.
Chrysalis grinned, and summoned a whip with her magic. Her eyes gleamed wickedly. She raised it, and moved over to the first pony in the line-up. Fluttershy.
GORE SCENE
"No!" Fluttershy shrieked as the crop slashed her back. "Stop it PLEASE!" She tumbled onto the floor, sobbing wildly as Chrysalis and her whip pelted the poor mare on the back.
Sombra reached into his back, left leg guard, and pulled out a dagger. The ponies and dragon shrank back as he approached them with the menacing slowness of a panther stalking it's prey. He unsheathed it, and moved to the very last pony in line. Pinkie.
"N-n-nice creepy king?" She stuttered.
Sombra jabbed the knife into her leg, and Pinkie cried out in horror. The umbrum king slowly dragged it down, blood gushing out of the pink mare's leg, turning it red. Rainbow Dash and Apple Jack attempted to attack Sombra and Chrysalis, but failed miserably.
Pinkie's mane deflated, and her coat went to a dull grey as Sombra yanked the dagger out. "Poor ponies sad?" He asked in a taunting tone.
"You leave her alone, or I'll bust you!" Rainbow snapped.
Sombra chuckled, and moved over to Rainbow Dash, grabbing her chin with an iron clad hoof. "How will you 'bust' me? Your in chains, need I remind you that you've been defeated?"
Rainbow snarled, and strained against her bonds, and attempted to bite him.
Sombra laughed again, this time in a more manic way, and grabbed one of the pegasus' wings in his magic.
Rainbow cried out in agony as her feathers were torn from their sockets. Blood oozed out of the new found gashes as Sombra yanked them out but by bit.
Blue plumage, and blood caked the floor by the time he was done. Rainbow stared in disbelief at her damaged wing.
"YOU MONSTER!" Rarity shrieked, attempting to ignite her crystallized horn in hopes to shoot magic at him.
Sombra chuckled at her weak attempts, and seized Rainbow Dashes other wing. "I was born a monster my dear Rarity."
The mare bristled, and lunged, trying even harder to light her horn. Not such luck. Sombra dropped Rainbow's wing, and grabbed Rarity in a head-lock.
"Release me! You should not hold a lady like-ARRRRRGGHHAAAAHH!!!" Rarity cried out in anguish as Sombra snapped her horn. ri ght. off. her. HEAD.
Twilight gasped in horror as Sombra threw it over his shoulder. Blood squirted out of the white unicorn's head like a fountain. She sputtered, and gasped as the red substance caked her hooves and face, never seeming to end.
"THIS IS HORRIBLE!" Rarity shrieked, throwing her self on the floor Disney princess style. "I'M RUINED AND *HIC* IT'S ALL YOUR *HIC* FAULT! *HIC* AND NOW I CAN'T EVEN DRAG UP A *HIC* SOFA, OR *HIC* SUMMON *HIC* ICE-CREEAAAAM!"
Chrysalis rolled her eyes. "Why ice-cream? Cupcake's are better, and you know it."
Sombra cast a glare at the changeling. "What are you even talking about? What the heck is Ice-cream ? Creamed Ice? Why would you-"
"JUST LEMME WALLOW IN *HIC* PEACE!" Rarity whined.
Spike patted her on the back, and hugged her as best he could. "There there Rarity, It'll be okay." He grimaced as a drop of blood landed on his snout. "I thin-"
Chrysalis grabbed him with her magic, and spun him around repeatedly. "It's all gonna be okay Spike!" She jeered, forcing him into a little ball.
"So that is your name?" Sombra said. "I want to torment him! You can do the chick over there." He pointed to Starlight, who shrank back against the linoleum, smiling nervously.
Chrysalis rolled her eyes, and handed the dragon child to Sombra. "Fiinnnnnneeeee." She hissed.
GORE SCENE OVER
"HEY!" Tirek's voice pipped up from no-where. "YOU SAID YOU WOULDN'T START WITHOUT ME!" He slammed the door open, and stomped over to the two villains.
Sombra rolled his eyes. "You took too long."
"Yeah, because you said to start at 3:30!"
"My bad."
"It's not your bad, You lied to me!"
"I DID NOT."
Tirek's face it with realization, and he started to make kissing sounds, forming a heart with his claws. "Oooh. Look who's in LOVE. That's why you told me to come here at a different time. You wanted to be with Chrysalis. "
Sombra blushed, and smacked Tirek in the leg. "Stop it! Quit acting like a foal."
Tirek continued to make kissing noises, and the bewildered changeling queen actually started to blush.
"OOH. Tirek is jealous!" Sombra snapped, sprouting wings and flying up. "Your jealous because I actually have a chance with Chrissy-I mean Chrysalis, and you don't. aren't you, old man ?"
Tirek scoffed. "Your just saying that because I'm a thousand years older than you."
The two continued to bicker, and Chrysalis finally ran out of the room from embarrassment, and flattery overload.
Spike snapped into action as soon as Chrysalis left, and began to breathe fire onto the chains binding the group. The arguing duo remained oblivious, shouting curses at one another, and waving their arms about.
"Look at them! Too stupid to realize their mistakes." Spike deadpanned as the last of the burned chains tumbled to the ground. He then ran over to Twilight.
"Thanks a ton Spike." Apple Jack said, rubbing a raw spot on her neck. "I dunno what we would do without ya."
Spike blushed, and smiled. "Aw no problem! But you should get out of here-we'll catch up."
He ushered them away, and began to burn the chains off of Twilight. The arguing centaur and umbrum grew louder, practically screaming in each others faces.
"Well, that was not surprising." Spike commented as the duo began to make their getaway. "Typical villain's I guess."
"But don't you see Spike? If their always arguing, this could prove to our advantage in defeating them. And the fact that they were so ready to team up mean's that they had a small friendship going while they were imprisoned. We could actually reform them!"
Spike grimaced. "Reform the villains ? No thanks!"
"HEY! YOU GET BACK HERE!" Sombra shouted suddenly, looking around Tirek and pointing a hoof at the retreating heroes.
Tirek turned, and snarled. Sombra swooped down, grabbing Spike before he could do anything. Twilight turned just as two beefy hands caught her.
"Where are the rest?" The centaur asked.
Sombra glanced down from his spot in the air, and groaned. "They escaped! Which means our rule is coming to an end! I wish you hadn't been so distracting! And were is Chrissy-I mean Chrysalis?"
"She obviously left because she doesn't wanna be with you."
The fighting started up again, and Twilight shot a glance at Spike, who Sombra was practically hugging to his chest with one arm. The other arm he flailed about, shouting words that Spike shouldn't be hearing. Twilight blushed at one point, feeling very ashamed that Spike should have to listen to this. The dragon child just looked plain confused at what Sombra was saying.
Chrysalis re-entered then, and scowled at the two. "You idiot's!" She spat.
The duo glanced over at her. "Where are Twilight Sparkle's friends? Where are the rest of the mane six?"
"Mane 6?" Spike asked. "Is that like our nickname or something? It's pretty cool!"
The villains ignored him.
"We need to find them! You've both seen what friendship has to offer. It will only bring us back to the start, jail. Maybe even worse."
Tirek and Sombra bristled, and eyed at their captives as if they might explode into a force of magic enough to knock the three of them to outer space.
"Maybe if Tirek hadn't started the fight in the first place..." Sombra growled, glaring daggers at the centaur.
"Well maybe if you had told me the correct time!" Tirek snapped back.
"Oh shut-up both of you!" Chrysalis snarled. "You can argue, after we find the rest of the mane 6."
Tirek and Sombra glared at each other some-more, then backed away from one another.
"Very well." Sombra agreed. "I have...A question to ask as well."
Tirek eyed him, and Chrysalis nodded her head in approval.
"What about Cozy Glow?" He asked. "She did take all the magic from Equestria once or twice. Would it not be best to have a powerful ally?"
"The little runty filly?" Tirek scoffed. "Why, so I can babysit her while you two run off to make love?"
Sombra scowled. "I never said that Tirek. I merely proposed that we release her to help us. If you wish, I will watch her."
Tirek grunted, and turned away to look at Chrysalis. "Well?" He demanded.
Chrysalis pondered Sombra's suggestion. "Minion!" She snapped suddenly.
A changeling sentry wearing a dark purple helmet, and a small amount of chest armour flew into the room, halting right in front of the queen. "What is it your majesties?" He asked, bowing down before the three of them.
"Bring Cozy Glow up from the mine's, and straight to us." She barked.
The changeling nodded and bowed again, zipping out of the room, an irritable buzzing sound coming from his wings.
The Punishment of the Villains
"So YOU ACTUALLY WON!?" Cozy Glow bubbled.
Tirek nodded. "I think." He shot a glare at Sombra.
The umbrum rolled his eyes, and stuck his tongue out at the centaur, while Chrysalis eyed then both with interest.
The group was sitting in a lounge of sorts, Tirek in a smaller state, sprawled across a red sofa, Chrysalis on a singular chair, Sombra on a large black couch. Cozy hovered in the air, stroking her chin.
There was red wine on the coffee table between the chairs, and a couple of plants dotted the room. The once cheery and brightening room was changed into a darker, and more villainous state.
"You won't get away with this!" Twilight repeated for at least the 50th time.
Twilight and Spike sat in a corner of the room, trapped inside a cage that the villains never went without. They carried it with them, always cautious.
"We already have." Sombra purred at her, taking a sip of his beverage.
Chrysalis broke into a smile, and stuck her tongue out at the captives. "You still putting hope on your little friends to save you? It's been hours now. No-pony is coming to rescue you Twilight."
"That is a lie!"
The villains began to snicker, sharing looks at one another.
"Perhaps some discouragement is required on the princess...." Sombra said as the laughter died down. "Cozy, would you like to do the honours?" He pulled out his dagger again, and tossed it to her. (It was sheathed)
Cozy Glow grinned. 'Hello Princess!' She thought as she neared the cage
"What are we going to do?" Fluttershy wailed.
Pinkie patted her friend on the back comfortingly. The group was hiding out in the Ever-free forest. Brutally tortured, they sat around a fire, spooking at every sound.
"WE aren't giving up." Rainbow repeated for the 7th time after their escape. "We are saving Twilight, and defeating those monsters. We ALWAYS win. We've never lost. We need to get our rumps back there and save Twi right now!"
"I agree with Dash," Apple Jack stated, "but we need a stable plan."
"Perhaps we can help." Celestia called out.
The five ponies whirled around at the sound of rustling bushes. Cadence, Luna and Celestia limped out, wounds already infected. Cadence held something under her wing.
"We found the Crystal Heart." She explained when Rarity shot her a questioning look.
"We can bust those shadow ponies then!" Rainbow cheered, attempting to fly up. Instead, she stumbled, and landed onto her face.
"First, we need to heal ourselves." Luna pointed out.
Rainbow growled at her stump of a wing, and limped over to Cadence.
"And the heart needs to be fuelled with hope and happiness." Cadence added.
Fluttershy looked up. "I believe that TOGETHER we can defeat the villains. I am so happy that I met all of you, and I can't bear the thought of losing any of you. Especially Twilight, who brought us all together."
The heart glowed briefly. And the yellow mare beamed.
"I feel the same way." Rarity declared.
The rest of the ponies chimed in their emotions, and the heart began to pulse with a new found power...
"Why?" Twilight panted. "Why are you still doing this?"
It had been three days since Cozy's return, all three filled with abusing Twilight. Cozy had written her name all over Twilight's torso with the knife, and had even doodled some flowers. It was a sickening sight anyways.
Sombra now wore a satchel around his neck, a lumpy object inside. Chrysalis stood close to him, sometimes taking the bag and holding on to it herself.
Tirek chuckled, and lowered his gauntlet, finishing off the torture for that day. Blood soaked the floor, and Twilight landed in it with a hard 'splat'.
"We want you in as weak a position possible for your friends." Chrysalis explained, picking the defeated mare up in her essence. "So when the time comes you'll be here for blackmail."
Twilight managed to lock eyes with her, a pitiful expression on her face, and her tongue hanging out. Sombra sneered at her, and sat down on a nearby chair, clutching the bag close to his chest.
"What is in the bag?" Cozy asked.
Sombra and Chrysalis tensed, shooting each other panicked looks. "N-nothing." Chrysalis stammered, dropping Twilight and snatching it in her hooves.
"Oh, I get it, you two have a secret, and your not telling us." Tirek huffed, crossing his bulky arms. His eyes narrowed slightly.
"So?" Sombra demanded. He stood up, and glared at the centaur.
Chrysalis bristled when Cozy attempted to snag the sack, and hissed.
"Seriously, I just want to know what your hiding. It isn't good to keep a secret from your team mates." The filly snarled, lunging at the changeling again.
Chrysalis shrieked and dodged, causing Cozy Glow landed on the floor with a hard 'THUMP'.
"You're not aloud to look inside the bag! It's none of your business!" She growled.
Tirek reached up, and snatched the queen with his claws. Sombra barked like a dog, and shot into the air, wings forming. "Release her!" He demanded, circling the demon/horse angrily. "you might damage the-" He stopped abruptly when Tirek's free hand shot out and smacked him in the face.
"Damage what?" Tirek asked, gently removing the bag from Chrysalis. He released her, and fumbled to open it.
Chrysalis shot a beam of magic at Tirek's face a second before he opened it, and the centaur grimaced, dropping the bag. Sombra soared after it, catching it in his teeth seconds before it struck the ground. Tirek recovered and reached out to grab the stallion, but Chrysalis shot him again, making him roar in anger and pain. Sombra landed in front of Chrysalis, and spread out his wing defensively.
Cozy stood up, and arched her back like a cat, preparing to pounce on the duo.
"Stay back!" Sombra barked, spreading out his legs.
He handed the bag back to Chrysalis, who hugged it to her chest. A green force field circled the couple, and Sombra dropped his wings, making them dissolve. Twilight rubbed her head, and looked up curiously at the four. They hadn't started a fight like this, which meant that their alliance was in horrible condition.
"Just tell us what is in the bag, and we'll stop trying to steal it." Cozy said in an innocent tone. She batted her eyes in a cute fashion, and smiled wide. Her pupils grew larger.
Before the duo could even think of replying, the door slammed open, and eight mares bounced in, healed to the max.
"Oh....shoot." Cozy gulped when she noticed the heart shaped crystal Cadence held in her magic.
"It's over." Celestia said in a somber tone.
Twilight mustered a large smile, and sat up shakily. "Girl's! You came back!"
Spike, who had been hiding in a corner of his cage, ran forward, grabbing the bars and rattling them furiously to get their attention. "I knew you'd come!"
Rainbow growled angrily at the villains, and hunched over, preparing to strike on the first one who attacked.
None of them moved. Chrysalis held the barrier between her, Sombra and the rest of them up, gently rocking the satchel back and forth in her hooves protectively.
Sombra stood in front of Chrissy, prepared to attack anyone who came near them.
Tirek glowered at the visitors, his arms out as though he was about to attack something.
Cozy, lowered her arched back, and relaxed slightly when the moment remained still. "So...are we gonna fight or something?" She asked, floating up into the air out of instinct.
Cadence, holding the heart spoke. "Uh....That was the plan, but you were already doing that weren't you?"
Tirek rolled his eyes, and turned to face the intruders. "Enough gawking at each other. Lets end this now."
The Punishment of the Villains
Tirek hurled a large fist at the ponies, and they scattered, jumping over couches and tables to avoid the blow that would come along with it. Cozy flew up towards Rainbow, who was glaring down at her, and attempted a body-chuck.
Rainbow dodged, and zipped around the filly repeatedly, making her dizzy. Her tongue flopped out, and an ear twitched violently before she plummeted to the ground.
Sombra hissed at the two sisters as he and Chrysalis fought to keep their barrier up, protecting what ever was in the bag with all their might. Beads of sweat rolled down his face, and he gritted his teeth, easily becoming over whelmed by the alicorn magic.
Cadence held the heart above Twilight, and cast a quick spell on it, making a brilliant blue light dawn her sister-in-law. Twilight gasped as if she had been under water for a good five minutes, and all the scribbles and other horrors on her body vanished. She stood, and hugged her sister.
"Thank you sis!" She cried in joy.
The moment ended when an orange and black beam of magic sailed over their heads. Cadence glared up at Tirek, and shot magic back at him, starting up a magic duel. "We will defeat you!" She spat, flying up when their spells collided. Tirek snorted, and ceased his power. Cadence blinked with confusion when her magic neared him, but a moment to late realized what he was going to do. "NO!" She shrieked as her magic was absorbed once again. "Argghagghhaaahh!" She collapsed onto the ground with a weak 'thud', and looked up to see a massive grey hoof blocking her vision. Tirek was going to squash her like a bug.
Just then, Luna rammed into him, with such a powerful force that Tirek tumbled to the ground. He cried out as the room tilted from the sudden weight. Outside, howling could be heard as a mysterious snowfall began to flurry the city. Tirek smashed into a window, nearly falling out of the castle. Now they were up in one of the towers, and you could imagine how scary this would be, seeing as it is en-lodged into a mountain.
Wendigo spiralled above the city, showing that the ponies where at unease with one another. The horse/demon cried out as his life flashed before his eyes. The section of wall supporting him gave way, and he slid off the edge, gripping the side of the floor with his beefy claws for last support.
"HELP! HELP ME PLEASE!" He shrieked, struggling to climb up. Luna, Cadence, and Twilight appeared at the edge, glaring daggers down at him.
"Why should we help you? You've been nothing but a tyrant to us, and all of pony kind. Do you not recall the fact that it was the helhest king Caballo who tortured you? Yet you seek to hurt us in revenge." Luna snorted in her 'Royal Canterlot' tone.
Tirek gasped with realization, and a horrible gritting sound came from his claws, and the marble linoleum.
Beams of magic flashed past the alicorns heads, and figures battled it out in the distance. He locked eyes with them, attempting to make Cozy's prized 'I'm innocent, and oh so adorable' face. When it didn't work, he let out a long sigh, and let go.
Cozy lifted her head from the ground, glancing up and around at the scene playing out before her. 'Where is Tirek?' She wondered, scanning the room for signs of the large centaur. He was...She spotted two red claws at the side of the room, which was tilted now. She gaped at the three princesses looking out the hole, not helping him. 'Not now Tirek! No! Your my only friend!' She cried to herself. She shakily stood, and galloped to the ledge, watching the claws all the time. Then, they let go.
"NO TIREK!" She cried, lunging towards the hole. She shoved past the princesses, and gaped in horror at Tirek speeding down the wall of the turret. She dove down, ignoring the voices of the princesses, and focused on saving her friend. "Come back here!" She pleaded, flapping her wings even harder. The now colder air nipped at her weak summer coat, but she ignored this as well, and reached out to grab Tirek's claw. 'Almost...come on you stupid hand!' She flung herself down harder, her wing-bones close to snapping, and...'Yes!' She grabbed his beefy hand, and tugged upwards, attempting to slow her decent and carry him back up to the fight. Tirek looked up at her.
"You can't save me, us Cozy." He said, his voice nearly lost in the raging wind surrounding them. "I'm too heavy."
Cozy swerved her ears left and right to catch his words, then shook her head. "I don't care! Your my only friend Tirek, and I won't lose you! Not yet!" She attempted to tug him back up again, but the strain on her shoulders became to great, and a sickening snap sounded out from her right arm. Cozy Glow cried out in agony as her arm disabled it's self from her shoulder, hanging limply. She struggled to keep flying, and felt Tirek's hand slip away from her. They were dangerously close to the ground now, falling at a great speed.
Tirek smacked her hand away, and gave her a sad smile. "Go back up there and defeat them like the little annoying pegasus I know. My time has come Cozy. Goodbye."
Cozy felt tears stream down her face as she watched him plummet to his death. "TIREK!" She sobbed out loud as his body collided with the ground, exploding in an array of gore. She swooped down, and grabbed a chunk of bloody carnage that was once a centaur oh so special, and sobbed into it.
"Chris...I can't..h-hold it much...longer!" Sombra wheezed as Celestia fought to destroy their shield.
Chrysalis had ceased holding the shield when Sombra had taken control, keeping the bag nestled underneath a transparent wing.
"Let me help then!" She pleaded.
Sombra glanced back at her, his face soaked with perspiration. "What about the..."
She frowned, and lit her horn, regenerating the shield. "I can fight. I'm not letting you kill yourself Sombra."
The stallion relaxed, and closed his magic off, taking the bag from the changeling, and closing his hooves around it. Celestia fought to destroy the shield for another long minute before she collapsed to the ground in an exhausted heap.
Sombra scanned the room. All the ponies in the room either looked over a hole in the wall, where snow poured into the room, or surrounded the bubble.
"Were are Cozy Glow and Tirek?" He demanded Chrysalis.
The changeling looked around the room, and bared her teeth. "Traitors probably fled when no one was looking and left us to deal with them because they don't get to know about the-"
"Come out and fight us you cowards!" Luna bellowed, shooting a beam of blue magic at the barrier.
Chrysalis flinched, and forced more magic up. "Sombra, the-there isn't much time left...What do we do with-"
The barrier shattered then, frying Chrysalis' horn, and the ponies prepared to strike the last two villains. Sombra stepped in front of Chrysalis, the bag around his chest, and hunched over, snarling at the mares.
"Sombra, perhaps you should-" Chrysalis started, but was cut off when Luna fired a beam of magic at her. She cried out and ducked, unable to use her magic due to her horn damage, and backed into a corner.
Sombra growled again, and rammed into Luna, knocking her down. He passed Chrysalis the bag with his magic, and attempted to fight off all the ponies.
GORE SCENE
"YOU WILL PAAAAY!" Cozy Glow bellowed, shooting up and into the room suddenly. She held a chunk of what had to be Tirek close to her chest, the bloody carnage dying her coat red. "YOU KILLED MY ONLY FRIEND! HOW WILL YOU FEEL WHEN I KILL ALL OF YOURS!?" She grabbed a rock, dropping Tirek, and hurled it at Twilight's face.
The room fell silent as the rock smacked into the alicorns snout, causing blood to gush out. Cozy grabbed another rock, and threw it at Fluttershy, making her cry out in horror as it hit her flank, a steady stream of gore caking the picture of butterflies.
"YOU STUPID LITTLE F**KS!" Cozy cried, her face contorted in pain and anger. "I'M GONNA STRIKE YOU ALL TO THE GROUND! THEN I'LL TEAR YOU LIMB FROM LIMB AND EAT YOUR GUTS!" She chuckled, sounding insane and barricaded Cadence with the stones.
The mare, unable to harm a filly, cried in anguish as she was pelted to death. Her blood soaked the ground, and her intestines leaked out of her torn belly, rib cage displayed for all to see.
Chrysalis gaped. "Cozy?" She turned and vomited as the filly grabbed the pink mare's head, and slammed a rock into it repeatedly. Luna, Rainbow, Pinkie, and Apple Jack attempted to pull her away from the dead body of Cadence, while Rarity fainted in shock. Spike turned and backed away in horror from the gruesome sight.
"Cozy! Cozy that's enough!" Apple Jack chided, touching her detached arm gently, and turning Cozy to face her. "Calm down. Anger won't solve anything."
Cozy's ear twitched. "THEY KILLED TIREK! THEY LEFT HIM TO FALL TO HIS DEATH! I WILL NOT CALM DOWN! I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE, AND YOU WILL NOT STOP ME!" She pointed her good arm towards the alicorns.
"You killed Tirek?" Sombra demanded. His ears shot up from behind his crown, and his pupils shrunk angrily. He took a furious step (more like a stomp) towards Luna and Twilight, and powered his horn.
Chrysalis looked up from behind him, to the lump of carnage laying on the ground by the whole, and her eyes narrowed. "They killed Tirek." She hissed in realization.
The two alicorns pupils shrunk as Sombra lunged at Twilight, snapping his teeth in her face as a means to kill her with them. Apple Jack and Rainbow dragged the furious filly away from the scene, and into Twilight's cage.
Chrysalis wrapped a wing around her bag, and head-butted Luna. The mare stumbled, and fell to the floor. She glared at Chrysalis, and shot her in the face with magic. Chrysalis flinched, and lunged again, struggling to attack Luna.
Twilight bucked Sombra off, and fired a past of magic at him. He dodged, and shot a fear spell at her. Twilight tried to cast a shield spell to block it, but accidentally cast a reflect spell. Sombra cried out as the spell bounced off Twilight's magic, and hit him square in the face.
The room swirled around Twilight, and she groaned as she was sucked into some kind of black void. "What is happening?!" She cried, grabbing at nothing. "Where am I? HELP!"
Commotion from behind her made her spin around. A gang of about five or six foals stood in a circle, chanting; "fight" Like a mantra. Twilight's curiosity got the best of her, and she went over to investigate. A blue earth-pony colt and a grey unicorn colt where inside the circle of fillies and colts, the blue one standing over the grey one. "Come on Sombrero. What's the matter, scared?" He slapped the grey foal across the face.
Twilight inhaled sharply. "Make it stop!" She cried, attempting to shoo the foals away from Sombra. Her hooves went right through them.
The grey one, Sombra, cowered back and away from the blue one. "Please!' He cried as two hind legs went hurling at his face, The sea of foals parted as Sombra rammed into the ground, blood leaking out of his nose. Another colt ran onto the scene then, appearing from the darkness. "Mrs. Chestnut Falls is coming!" He cried in a panicked tone.
The foals scurried away, except the blue one. "You won't tell on me, will you?" He hissed. "You know what happens to tattle-tales."
He flicked his tail into Sombra's face, and galloped away, leaving the colt to lay and suffer on the black ground.
"HELP!" Twilight cried, closing her eyes. "HOW DO I STOP IT?!"
"Twilight!" Pinkie cried.
Every-pony was staring at her. Even Chrysalis and Cozy Glow. Sombra was still enhanced into his nightmare, pupil's shrunk.
"What?" She asked, rubbing her head.
"Well, you were crying out to make it stop.." Apple Jack started.
"And your face is a ghastly white. Did he do something to you darling?" Rarity asked.
"No..I..did something to him." Twilight groaned and rubbed her head again. "I...saw his fear, a memory or something about a-"
"ENOUGH TALKING!" Chrysalis bellowed. "YOU HURT MY SOMBRA!" She threw herself at Twilight, baring her teeth. "MAKE HIM SNAP OUT OF IT!"
Twilight cried out, pushing Chrysalis away from her, or trying to. "I CAN'T!"
"YES YOU CAN!"
Luna shot Chrysalis in the back, and the changeling turned. Twilight slammed her hind-legs into the queens chest, and she stumbled off, wheezing and gasping for air.
Cozy rattled her cage. "Snap out of it Sombra! The mane 6 and the princesses are going to beat you!"
Sombra remained unfazed, and stared straight ahead, his aura wafting from his eyes. "No." He muttered. "NO!" He raised a hoof up as if to stop something. A single tear rolled down his cheek, splattering onto the linoleum with a faint 'splut' sound.
Apple Jack pounced on Chrysalis, and kicked her in the gut. The changeling stumbled awkwardly, and glared at the orange cow-pony. "I'm not giving up!" She spat, ramming her horn into the earth-ponies side.
Apple Jack cried out in agony as the curved horn dug into her gut. Blood leaked out of her side, and Chrysalis tore her horn out of Apple-Jack. Rearing up, the changeling slammed her fore-hooves down on the cow-pony, and Apple Jack fell, her head hitting the linoleum with a loud 'crack'.
Sombra shook his head, his eyes returning to normal, and glared at Twilight. "YOU." He snarled, igniting his horn. "How dare you!" He blasted her repeatedly, and Twilight ducked and weaved through each spell.
"It was an accident!" She panted when the barricade of spells didn't stop right away.
Sombra grew his wings again, and flew up into the air, shooting more powerful magic at her. Twilight cried out in agony as the spell slammed her into a nearby pillar. Sombra cast another spell with the intention of finishing her off, but stopped cold when Luna blasted the bag Chrysalis held.
a singular egg flew out of the satchel, smashed against a wall and exploded.
The Punishment of the Villains
"Killed." Sombra gasped.
"Our foal."
The room froze in shock.
Sombra swooped down to the mess, and poked it with a hoof. Chrysalis bit her lip, eyes watering up with tears.
"You killed her!" She whispered, stepping up next to Sombra.
The couple stared in horror at the mess of shell and ooze that used to be an egg.
"I...I..I didn't know!" Luna stammered, taking a step back.
"YOU ARE A KILLER!" Chrysalis screeched, turning around and flying up. "YOU KILLED OUR FRIEND AND OUR CHILD!" She lit her horn, and blasted magic at her.
A yellow shield popped up around Luna right before the spell hit her. Celestia stood shakily to her feet, and gave Chrysalis a pitiful look. "She had know idea Chrysalis. No one did."
Chrysalis narrowed her eyes, and shot another beam of power down, pelting the room with magic. "PONIES ARE THE TRUE MONSTERS HERE! THEY CARE NOTHING ABOUT OTHER CREATURES!" She let out a long bray, and everyone in the room grabbed their ears to drown out the noise.
Changeling's suddenly zipped into the room, glaring angrily at the ponies. "GET THEM!" Chrysalis roared, pointing a hoof at Luna and the others.
The changeling's caught all the mares in seconds, scissoring their wings furiously, and hissing in their faces.
"Take them to the dungeons." Sombra commanded, turning away from his offspring, and looking to the ground.
The bugs nodded, and several of them dragged the mares out of the room, and down the hall.
"I'm so sorry Sombra!" Chrysalis sobbed into the stallion's shoulder.
Sombra patted her comfortingly on the back, and pressed his muzzle into her neck. "It's okay. We had no idea that those fools would show up and kill little Furia."
A changeling guard walked up to them. "Your majesties, are you ready to see Tirek and Furia? Their viewing is starting soon."
Cozy Glow nodded. "Bring them to us."
The changeling called up a couple more of it's kind and an umbrum, and they flew out of the room.
"I want to finish those fools off!" Chrysalis choked.
Sombra placed his hoof onto her back, and stroked her. "Hush my little Chrissy." He cooed. "When the time is right."
A couple of minutes later, the door popped open again. Cozy squirmed in her throne as one large and one small casket were pushed into the room.
"Your majesties." The umbrum greeted, opening them.
A lump of shells and yolk in one, and bloody carnage in the other made Chrysalis burst into more tears. Cozy flew down to inspect her dead friend.
Cozy sniffled, and stroked the carnage of Tirek, silently mourning his death. The scene of his last moments played over and over in her mind, never ceasing. Chrysalis and Sombra descended their thrones, and looked over their dead child's remains with grief.
Cozy turned away, and fluttered out of the room. She couldn't bear seeing the horrible remains of her friend any more. She let her wings take control, and they led her to the gardens. She let out a breath that felt like it had been held ever since Tirek let go of her hoof, and sat onto a crystal bench.
The garden's were decorated with shadowy flowers and crystal's, as this specific one was Sombra's. She bust into tears.
"I miss you Tirek!" She whimpered, picking a crystalline rose, and twirling it around her good hoof. Her other one was bandaged up on a sling, making it difficult to walk.
A sudden blue pulsing caught her attention. She looked over the dark garden, and spotted something very peculiar. a large fraction of the garden had the flowers growing as normal plants. A blue light shone in the centre of it, pulsing faintly.
She fluttered over to the mysterious glowing object, and gasped at what she saw. The Crystal Heart! She dropped the crystal rose, and picked up the Heart with her good hoof, stumbling for a long minute.
When she finally held it in her possession, she felt warmth elope her. Her dislocated shoulder snapped back into place, and all the cuts and bruises she had earned during the fight vanished, leaving a delightful tingling sensation. She sighed in content, and hugged the heart to her chest, fluttering out of the gardens, and into the sky.
'I can help with your problem!' The Heart seemed to say. 'Just hold on to me, and we can fix this big mess!'
Cozy looked at it, and a sudden idea popped into her head. It was a dangerous one, but it might just work...
Sombra glowered at the sound of hooves approaching his room. He did not want company right now. Before the creature could enter his room, he shoved the windows open and flew out.
He hadn't bothered to deconstruct his wings ever since his child had been demolished. Sombra shuttered at the memory, and soared up into the sky, almost ignoring the Wendigo that glared daggers at him.
"Go to hell." He snapped when one of them opened it's mouths to speak. "I don't feel like talking."
He flew past them, the rough winds blowing into his thick fur and tousling his mane. He looked down at the dead ground beneath him, actually missing it's once beautiful shine. He spotted Cozy flying back to the palace, a blue object in her hooves. He decided to avoid her, and soared silently downwards, into a forest.
The forest was a dense thicket with small wood chips, moss and dirt covering the ground. The trees were aged with a beautiful green moss, and vibrant leaves. Grass patches littered the floor of the woods, adding to it's stunning beauty.
Sombra had always been a nemophilist. His love for woods was an immense passion. He swooped down near a creek, and folded his shadowy wings. The creek bubbled eagerly, begging him to come and take a drink. Sombra ignored it, however, and settled down on the grassy floor.
He closed his eyes, and took a deep breath, inhaling the glorious scent of outside. A couple of deer bounded into the opening, playing a small game of tag. They ignored Sombra, leaping over him as if he was a rock or a log, and danced joyfully around the small clearing.
Irritated by this, he bared his canines and growled threateningly, making them shudder and bolt as far away from him as they could.
Sombra let out a weary sigh, and lay his head onto the soft grass. 'I'm getting too old for this kind of grief.' He thought miserably.
Chrysalis lay on her bed, staring emptily out at the wall opposing her. Her heart was torn more than it should've been. She eyed a clock on the wall, and it read 7:34 pm. The sky darkened slowly, the dystopia outside lost in the snow. She closed her eyes and choked back another sob. Sombra had wanted a foal so bad, and it died when it was still in it's egg! She wished she could've gone back in time to save it, but there was no use. She burrowed her muzzle into the mattress, and let out a short sob.
"Why does this have to be my life?" She demanded the dresser in the corner of the room.
It wasn't ordinary that Chrysalis spoke to non-living everyday objects, she was insane after all.
The dresser did not move of course, nor did it speak. It was a dresser after all.
Chrysalis groaned, and shot magic at it, shattering it into a million splinters of wood.
"YOUR MAJESTY!" A drone shrieked, slamming her door open.
"Knock you nitwit!" She snapped, looking up to him.
"My apologizes, but...The captives have escaped, again."
"WHAT?!"
Chrysalis sat up and bolted out of the room, and down different halls, the drone following quickly after. Sure enough, the black door was no more, just a giant gaping hole in the wall.
Chrysalis zoomed down the staircase, and into the jail section. All the cage doors were torn off their hinges, or gone missing completely. She growled angrily, and turned back towards the changeling guard with fire in her eyes.
"You. Idiot." She hissed between gritted teeth.
"Actually, I was coming back to shift with the other guards...Your m-majesty."
"We need to find them. Now."

The Punishment of the Villains
Sombra rolled onto his back, and let out a long sigh, curling his legs onto his belly. He had been in the woods for hours now, and hoped no-pony would remove him from his paradise just yet. Unfortunately, that is just what happened. A beam of blue magic shot out from the bushes next to him, and he slammed against a tree with a loud grunt.
"What the-" He was cut off when Luna popped out of the bushes, and shot at him again. "HEY!"
He rolled to the side, the spell narrowly missing his side-burn, and stood, preparing to blast her with a spell. This turned into a hold battle.
"Why...are you out of your cell?" He demanded, perspiration rolling down his face.
Luna gritted her teeth. "Twas the magic of friendship that aided us you fool."
Sombra gasped as the rest of the captives jumped out of various bushes, and surrounded him. His magic faltered, and Luna overwhelmed him quickly. He smacked against the ground, his crown flying into the creek. He rubbed his head, and tried to stand, but she shot him again.
"We told you you will not prevail." Luna huffed, towering over him.
He eyed her angrily, and lit his horn, ready to use a spell to call his subjects for help. Celestia shot him in the face before he could cast it though, and his horn turned off abruptly..
"What do we do now?" Pinkie asked.
"Well, we tie him up." Celestia decided. "And keep him with us."
She nodded at Apple Jack, who pulled out three ropes.
"Hey no!" He cried in protest as she began to bind him. He kicked and squirmed restlessly, making it a whole lot harder.
Apple Jack managed to get one coil of rope around his legs, and began to tie the second one around his muzzle.
"Whoa Nellie!" She cried as his fangs snapped at her furiously.
"Outrageous!" He cried. "I am a king and I shall be treated like one! I am one with kingship and kingship is one with me-hey ow! Stop!"
Apple Jack shoved a hoof full of grass into his mouth to shut him up, then put the third coil of rope into her hat. "Guess this can be a spare then." She told Celestia. The alicorn nodded, and looked back to the umbrum who was spitting grass out of his mouth.
"I think we might need it." She replied, floating him up into the air.
As soon as he was close to her, he unfolded his wings and slapped her across the face as hard as he could. Celestia grunted, stumbling for a short minute. Luna glowered at him, and grabbed his wings with her magic, making them dissolve into particles.
Sombra snorted angrily at the mares, and looked away, finally accepting his fate.
"Ma'am, It's been three days since their escape, I can assure you that they are long gone by know." A drone buzzed to Cozy.
"Your MAJESTY to you. And what about Sombra? He's been missing for three days also. I bet he freed them."
Chrysalis shook her head and gasped. "Sombra would never!"
"Oh ya?"
"Ya."
The two remaining villains sat in the throne room, two of the thrones empty, a horrible symbol of their near defeat, and the absence of the second. Chrysalis bit back the urge to cry out, the heart wrenching thought of her lover being missing, and her child dead, along with one of her only friends. She stood, and nodded to a guard.
"I am trying again. When was the last time we saw Sombra?"
"Uhh....He was flying towards Mellow Woods." Cozy pipped up.
"Why didn't you tell me this earlier?" Chrysalis snarled quietly.
"I just remembered."
"And how did you know this?"
"I was flying back to the palace, and he just flew past me without a word. He barely even looked at me. It was really weird."
"I have another question, why are you all healed?"
"I found the Crystal Heart, and it healed me."
"What? Where is it now?!"
"In...my room...."
"You idiot! The shadow ponies are weakened by it. Give it to me now!"
"You just want to suck the love out of it."
"It probably has no love in it by now! Smash it."
"But-"
"It had better be gone by the time I return."
Before Cozy could protest anymore, Chrysalis flew out of the room in search of her mate, and the captives.
"So what is the next plan ya'll?" Apple Jack asked.
The group of ponies where circled around a small campfire, except for Sombra, who sat by a tree, glowering angrily at them. The sun set slowly behind them, Celestia barely paying attention to her work as she comped on a hoof full of roasted moss and leaves.
"Well, we use Sombra for blackmail. If they want him enough, they have to give up their thrones, and go back into their prisons." The Sun Monarch decided.
"There's no way they would do that!" Rainbow retorted.
Apple Jack glared at her friend, and smacked her across the head with her hat. "Rainbow! Show some respect!" She hissed.
"Or maybe we can get Sombra to tell us their plans through the means of torture!" Pinkie suggested, a wicked and teasing smile playing up her lips.
"NO!" Twilight cried. "Pinkie, what the hell?!"
Luna smirked at the unicorn. "I'm all for it. Remember what he did to us?"
Rainbow raised her hoof. "I second it!"
Pinkie shrugged. "I was just kidding, but okay, I'm in!"
The rest of them gawked at the three with horror. "What has gotten into you?" Twilight demanded. "If we torment him, we are no better than him!"
"Revenge is aloud as long as it is fair, and seeing how he so nearly killed half of us, I think revenge is perfect." Luna stated, tossing her flowy mane.
"I agree." Fluttershy blurted.
The ponies looked at her with wonder. "Fluttershy?" Twilight said in bewilderment.
"I agree. I think Sombra should get tormented for hurting me, Pinkie, all of us. I say we torment him until he tells us the plans he shared with Chrysalis, Cozy Glow and Tirek."
She stood, and glared at the umbrum, hatred for him igniting with a burning passion.
Rainbow was the first to speak. "That's four to four. Whose next?"
Celestia let out a long sigh, and looked down at the mossy floor. "Very well. But his blood is not on my hooves."
Luna nodded, and the four mares looked over to Sombra. "You gonna make this easy chump?" Rainbow demanded. "Or do we have to do this the hard way?"
Sombra snorted, and smacked his tail onto the ground to show his displeasure. "I refuse to tell you what is in store for you. If you need to be a tyrant, so be it. I would rather die than submit you a spunky foal."
"Sombra?" Chrysalis called, scanning the Mellow Woods from above the treetops. "Are you still here?"
She spotted a puff of smoke up ahead, and flapped her wings harder. 'Is that you?' She prayed.
Glancing down, she spotted vibrant colors from among the bushes. 'The mane 6?' She circled the smoke, and landed not to far from the campsite.
Sure enough, eight ponies and one dragon were dotted around a small fire. Chrysalis sneered, and hunched down to the ground, morphing into a squirrel.
"Sombra!" She squeaked with relief when she spotted him. To any-one who heard her, it was random chattering.
She rushed over, and placed a gentle paw onto his side. His brilliant red cape was torn, and blood stained the ground One of his iron boots lay nearby. She grimaced, and nuzzled him.
Sombra groaned, and jerked away from her, kicking gently in his sleep. Luna turned and eyed the stallion with a hatred that angered Chrysalis to no end. She bounded over to the ponies and dragon, and slammed her hind paw into Luna's hoof. The alicorn glanced down to see a squirrel stomping up and down, shaking a fist, and throwing kicks at her.
"Fluttershy? A squirrel is...beating me up." She said in disbelief.
Fluttershy looked at the tiny brown creature, and blushed. "Oh my, that is some powerful language there. She seems upset that we hurt Sombra."
Luna eyed the squirrel with suspicion. "Sounds awfully suspicious..." She moved away from the rodent, and sat onto a log.
"Chrysalis?" Cozy called out from above the ponies.
The changeling cringed, and glanced up to see Cozy glaring down at the mares. "There you are you little brats!" She swooped down, and snarled.
Chrysalis summoned her essence, and it eloped her, turning her back to her true form. "How dare you!" She bellowed, nodding her head towards Sombra.
"You!" Luna growled, spreading out her wings and igniting her horn. "Of course it would make sense that a squirrel would be so furious about such a tyrant's near demise!"
Cozy Glow glanced at Sombra and gasped. "YOU KILLED HIM TOO?!" A couple of birds shot out of various trees. She grabbed a stick.
"We tortured him." Luna replied with a simple ease. "For matters you do not need to know about."
"I am sick and tired of having to fight you repeatedly! I should've finished the job sooner, so that Tirek would maybe still be alive!" Chrysalis choked back a sob, and lit her horn, her essence growing more powerful by the second.
"I agree!" Cozy snarled. "This. Ends. Now."
The Punishment of the Villains
Magic sailed over Sombra's head as he chewed the rope off his leg. It was a difficult task, seeing as one was around his muzzle, but he managed to break free, and stand. He began to paw the ropes off his face, grimacing at how tight they were. It was getting harder to breathe with each passing second. A stray shot smacked him in the ribs, and he cried out as his broken bones rattled angrily. The searing pain burned his body, and he bit his lip to keep from giving up. His iron clad hooves scraped at his face as he frantically grabbed at the ropes to remove them. Not such luck.
He looked up when a shadow blocked his vision, to see Twilight towering over him, Rainbow at her side.
Luna, Celestia, and Chrysalis were in a free for all, while Pinkie, Rarity, Apple Jack and Fluttershy tied a screaming Cozy Glow up with the third rope.
He gave her a nasty grin, and rammed into her, making her cry out and grab Rainbow.
"Not. Cool!" The pegasus growled, attempting to head-butt him into a tree.
Sombra dissolved into a shadow, and Rainbow's face rammed against the tall pine, a sickening 'crunch' emitting from her snout.
Sombra sniffed the air, a smokey smell screaming at his nostrils. He turned to find green fire eating at his tail. Spike grinned victoriously as the umbrum screamed in horror, frantically blowing on his long, beautiful hair.
"YOU LITTLE BRAT!" He bellowed, lunging at the dragon child with fury.
Spike flew up, and Sombra hit the ground with a hard thud. Twilight grabbed him with her magic, and Rainbow stood behind him to prevent any escape attempt.
"Release me you peasant!" He barked, snapping his fangs threateningly.
"If I am a peasant, then your the beggar." She shot back.
Sombra shut his mouth, and frowned deeply, crossing his hooves over one another.
"PUT. ME. DOWN." He hissed.
Rainbow shot him a smug look, and whispered something into Twilight's ear.
"We can't do that, but I have a smite spell that could make him into an animal temporarily. He has to do something to break the spell-be kinder to creatures around him."
Rainbow smirked, and glanced back at Sombra. His pupils shrunk
"You are not going to do what ever your going to do to me-"
He was cut off when a loud buzzing filled his ears. A beam of Magenta magic began to coil around him, tightening slowly. His muzzle began to shrink, and grow whiskers, his tail turning into a more feline version, and his hooves shrunk into paws. The rope tumbled to he ground. He let out an anguished scream, which ended in a bloodcurdling meow.
Another horrible meow emitted from his mouth as the transformation completed, leaving a black and grey striped tabby cat with a red horn and eyes. He stumbled in his too big attire which once rode on his hooves and back with pride, and toppled over, making Rainbow and Spike laugh.
"A cat?!" The pegasus wheezed. "He turned into a cat?!"
The fighting ceased, and every one turned to look at the group. Sombra let out another horrified meow, and scrambled out from under neath his large red cloak. The hoof armour rattled and clanked as he kicked them away, a furious glare scribbled across his face.
Luna began to snicker, followed by Pinkie and Apple Jack.
"That isn't funny!" Chrysalis snapped, kicking at Luna, who held her in her magic. "Change him back!"
The alicorn stifled another giggle, and looked at the changeling. "I don't think so." She floated up, flapping her wings gently, and nodding to the others.
Rainbow grabbed at Sombra, trying to catch him. Instead of grabbing hold of him, she got a hoof full of scratches as the tom cat kicked away from her. He darted up a tree and onto a branch, giving her a smug look.
"Use the cloak." Fluttershy directed, flying over and lifting it off the ground. She smiled at Sombra, and carefully placed it onto his back, wrapping it around his frightened body.
Sombra swiped his claws at her angrily, and kicked the cloak away. Fluttershy's gentle look morphed into a hard stare, and she eyed him with such an intensity that he froze. Sombra lifted the cloak with his magic, and wrapped it around himself
"Now, we are going to take you three back to the palace, were you will stop this madness, and apologize for being so mean." Fluttershy directed, picking up the bundled cat with a hoof.
Sombra scowled, and hissed.
"Hey, you got a burrito cat now!" Spike deadpanned. "You could even call it a 'Purrito'. " He burst out laughing, making the others groan.
Chrysalis hissed and spat, kicking furiously to escape Luna's grasp on her. Not such luck. Cozy was knocked out cold, draped across Apple Jack's back.
"We did it? We won?" Twilight asked uncertainly.
Celestia nodded. "I think. For now, let us return home."
The villains sat on one end of the room, and the heroes on the other. Chrysalis, and Cozy were tied up, and Sombra sat on his mate's lap.
"...And seeing all the damage you have done, corrupting the changelings, ruining the homes of the ponies, you have a lot to think about." Celestia scolded.
"What about you?" Chrysalis demanded.
"Merrow!" Sombra said.
"He says that Luna, Cadence, and Twilight killed Tirek, and Furia, so therefore you shouldn't be scolding us." Fluttershy translated.
"They are VILLAINS !" Rainbow retorted. "Villains don't deserve to live!"
"MEOW!"
"Oh my...I prefer not to translate that." Fluttershy blushed.
"Anyways, that little runty brat killed Cadence." Luna snapped at the cat.
"He-"
--
"TWILIGHT!"
Twilight groaned, and rubbed her head. The scene faded into darkness, and she realized her eyes were closed. She opened them, and saw all her friends around her. She was laying on a bed.
"Finally!" Apple Jack cried.
"What happened? Where are the villains?" She sat up swiftly, and noted her surroundings. Her room gleamed in an afternoon light.
"Uh...Where they should be, locked up." Rainbow replied. "What's with you?"
Twilight gasped with realization, then blew a sigh of relief. "Nothing...Just a dream I had."
She smiled at her friends, and stepped out of the room. "We have a busy day ahead of us, planning for Celestia's birthday in all. We'd better get to Canterlot before the train leaves."
"Would you mind telling us about this dream you had?" Rarity inquired.
Twilight summoned a brush with her magic, and made a confused face. "Well, we were going to Canterlot, and there was this black door..."

Chapter 1
"Thank you all once again for coming!"
Luna greeted the six colorful mares as they entered the Canterlot Palace, The sound of hooves clopping along down the corridors as the happy ponies working there greeted the heroes and princess with warm 'Hello's!', and 'Welcome!' Twilight Sparkle, a lavender purple alicorn with a direct dark purple mane, pink and violet streaks coursing down to the tips of her bangs. Twilight was the princess of friendship, a role she took very seriously, and with her friends, they had saved Equestria countless times, stopping evil creatures like Tirek, and reforming others like Discord. Luna led the group down a hall lined with beautiful, tall white and gold doors.
"This is where you'll be staying. This is the guest hall, so feel free to explore it, just stay away from the door at the end." Luna said, pointing a hoof at a scary-looking black door, which did not match the rest of the doors in the hall.
The ponies nodded their heads accepting the concept without hesitation, (Maybe because they were tired and didn't really care at that moment.😴) and Luna showed each to their own room.
"Luna?" Twilight asked when it was just the two mares alone in the hall.
"Yes, Twilight?" Luna answered, looking her in the eyes.
"What's behind the door?"
Luna froze uncertainly for a moment, and a grey guard opened the door, rushing towards them.
"Your majesty!" The guard cried.
"What is it?" Luna asked, gesturing for Twilight to go to her room.
Twilight slunk back into the doorway, closing it just enough so she could see and hear the conversation. It was low, and hard to hear, but she managed to catch a small part of it:
"Uh...He broke the pick, and the...others are hungry." The guard said nervously.
Luna's face deepened into a heavy scowl, and her voice changed into a more demonic and commanding one. Twilight's mouth fell open in shock from what she heard next:
"Again? That is the fifth pick-ax he has snapped! This is the last, and If he breaks it, You know what to do, as for the others, leave them hungry for about a week, then we will see if they dare complain again." Luna commanded. "And If any-pony found their way down there, lock em up."
The guard nodded his head, and Luna teleported a new pick in front of him. The guard cantered back down the hall and back into the door. Twilight shuffled away from the door and sat down at her desk just as Luna entered.
"How are you fairing?" Luna asked.
"Oh! Uh...Great!" Twilight lied.
She was confused, and mostly because of the mysterious door.
"Well...We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow. Rest well tonight Twilight, and the same to your friends." Luna concluded after a moment of silence.
Twilight scowled after Luna left. What was she hiding, and why was she hiding it? Twilight was about to find out.
Twilight opened the door to her temporary room quietly, and slowly. Peeking out into the hall, she blew a sigh of relief when she saw no guards. She swiftly ran down the corridor, her hoofs clicking silently against the carpet, and soon the alicorn was before the door. Taking a deep breath, she tried the handle. The door was locked! Twilight huffed angrily and teleported herself onto the other side. For a moment, she thought she had entered a rift when she had teleported because it was pitch black, but then she realized she was inside the room, or...stairwell. Before her eyes could adjust, she lit her horn, and began her descent into the abyss, shivering at the similarities between the one in the Crystal Empire that the evil King Sombra had created thousands of years ago. Twilight froze to the sound of voices.
"Hey! Who said you could stop?" A guard called.
Twilight spooked and looked behind her, but there was no-pony. She was about to call out when a clinking sound suddenly began to ring through the caverns.
"Come on! Faster!" Another voice jeered.
Twilight approached cautiously, dimming her horn when she saw the light. The sound of a whip cutting through the air had her panicked. Thinking ahead, she covered her body with a one-minute invisibility spell. It was a simple spell, which only required you to hold your magic for the required time. Peeking out from behind a rock, she sucked in the air hard when she saw who the guards were talking to. The clinking sound rang out louder, and Twilight felt dizzy. She grasped the rock, staring in horror at the sight before shock overcame her, and she fainted. The last thing she heard, was the guards shouting at...Was it her? She didn't know, all she knew was that Luna and Celestia had lied to her. Then it all went black.
