It all started when Twilight and her friends, Rarity, Pinkie Pie & Spike were out shopping at a Ponyville garage sale or sales in town. Twilight was just looking for some things to buy when Spike and Pinkie were tagging along. Pinkie Pie just recently bought a retro pony figure, and wanted to play with it.

“Oh! Just look at this!” Pinkie Pie said as she was just going to go to the furniture section to find more merchandise. “Can you BELIEVE ponies are still selling this stuff? I’d keep it forever!”

“That’s called ‘hoarding’ and it’s something only dragons do.” Twilight Sparkle said as she was looking around in this sale.

Spike felt a little offended by that comment. He thought it was a roast. “Hey...” he started to object. “...you are not wrong. But still...”

Just then, Rarity came up to her friends, and she was sporting a necklace with a purple star, reminiscent of Twilight’s cutie mark connected to a blue chain with a gold holder. “Sorry I’m late!” She said to her friends. “I stopped by a jewelry stall when I spotted this, and I simply HAD to have it!” Spike was intrigued by this sparkling star gem, and wanted to eat it. He tried to get at it, but Rarity’s firm voice stopped him. “No. Bad dragon.” She said to him. He retracted his hand.

“It’s very pretty Rarity!” Twilight said, really interested in the new gem necklace. “What kind of stone is this?”

“I have no idea—“ Rarity said. “I just like the Luster of it. It’s got a lovely shine and the setting...”

Pinkie was also interested. “I like that it’s purple! It’s almost pink!”

“You know, Twilight...” Rarity was just thinking about giving it to Twilight because it was more her colour. “...seeing it next to you, I really do think it’s much more your style, dear.”

“Really?” She asked Rarity.

“Why, with all your purple, it was practically made for you!” Rarity happily said, as she took the necklace off her and put it on Twilight’s neck.

Twilight was a little surprised but thanked her. “Oh...thank you?” She said curiously.

Just then, Twilight’s eyes went pink, glowing with curiosity as a voice whispered to her as if under a spell. “Find the rest!” The voice said to her.

“Twilight, are you alright?” Rarity asked her friend. “Do you not like the necklace?”

“It’s not that...” the alicorn started to say. “I think we need to call a meeting.” She took a look at the new jewelry Rarity gave her. “Can you go gather everypony up?”

“In on it!” Spike saluted her. Leaving Pinkie Pie to just groan in disappointment.

Back at the Castle of Friendship, Twilight and her friends had already gathered for a emergency meeting. Her friends were curious that Twilight heard a voice with that necklace. Some of them even doubted her.

“So, NONE of you hear a voice when you put on that necklace?” Twilight asked her friends.

“Nope.” Applejack told her.

Rainbow Dash put it on. “WAIT!” She said with alert. “I think I’m getting something!”

“Yes?” Twilight asked her friend. “What do you hear?”

“That you are an overworked egghead, and hearing things and you should take a break.” She joked.

Twilight was a little ticked. “Harde har har!” She took the necklace off her neck.

“Put it on again, Twilight.” Applejack suggested. “Tell us exactly what you hear.”

Now, normally someone like Fluttershy would tell her not to put it on, but she was a little silent, and was playing with her own hooves. She even blushed a little bit. She had a secret she would tell her friends...when Twilight was not in the room with them.

“I wore it for almost 20 minutes before I gave it to Twilight, and I’m fine.” Rarity said to her friends. “It’s just jewelry.”

Spike had some thoughts about it. “You know I have a solution that will make whole thing just go away...” he suggested. “All I need is a little bit of salt and lemon juice.”

Twilight stopped him. “There will be NO digestion involved.” She put the necklace back on, and heard that voice again. “Find the rest...it keep saying to ‘find the rest’”. Just then, a map shot out of the star necklace out of nowhere, and projected it in front of the mane six.

Her friends all saw it. “Neat!” Pinkie said.

“What...what IS it?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“Surely SOMEPONY that spends so much time in the CLOUDS knows what the STARS like!” Applejack said after seeing that constellation.

Twilight took a good look at the star map. “I know those stars...” she said. And right there and then, she recognized what the pattern was. “The Andalusian!” She said. “It’s a series of stars that just showed up in the night sky one day ages ago...centuries ago!”

“Riveting.” Rainbow Dash said as she was impressed by all this.

“Then one day, the whole constellation went dark.” Twilight continued to say. “This necklace...the points in the sky...they’re stars!” She was excited by all this! “Rarity, by finding this necklace, you may have stumbled upon a clue to solving the biggest cosmic mystery of all time!”

“Well I do have excellent taste in jewelry and adventure!” She agreed with her friend.

“So, what am I getting out of this if I can’t eat it?” Spike asked a little disappointed.

“Sorry, Spike.” She told her dragon friend.

“So...what do we do?” Rainbow Dash asked. “Just find all those things, and fling them back into the sky?”

“Seems simple enough...” Applejack said. “I mean we have a map telling us where to look.”

“And the FLINGING THEM BACK INTO THE SKY PART?!” Rainbow wanted to know.

“Well, I CAN kick mighty hard.” Applejack admitted.

“I think it’s nice to take a normal break from our series of events...” Fluttershy finally said. “No monsters or creatures trying to take over the world. A scavenger hunt for the stars sound like a wonderful adventure.”

“And think of all the research opportunities! We can find out what the magical qualities of these stars are, what made them fall, where they CAME FROM IN THE FIRST PLACE...” Twilight was still engrossed by this new recent discovery. “WE CAN LEARN ALL THE THINGS!”

Rarity noticed her friend was acting a little more weird than usual. “Twilight, dear, you’re getting weird look on your face like when you’re about to write one of those...”

“...boring...” Rainbow interrupted.

“...academic papers.” Rarity finished. “Do we need to talk about time management and the importance of sleep again? This can’t be the Everfree Forest Mystical Fog management report again!”

Just then, the voice in Twilight’s voice came into her head again. “Find the rest.”

“Find the rest...yes, I’ll find the rest.” Twilight said as if she were in a daze. “I’ll leave now, and find the rest!”

Fluttershy wanted to ask her if she was alright, but she was mesmerized by looking at Twilight’s necklace. She made a confused face as she looked at it. She was feeling something, but she couldn’t quite place it. Her eyes widened as she was totally engrossed in looking at it. She looked at Twilight, and she felt a warm feeling inside her, while still frozen at the sight of her.

“Wow,” the yellow Pegasus thought to herself. “Twilight really is a good friend. Ever since she met me and the others in Ponyville and defeated Nightmare Moon, I've always had a feeling that we were just friends, but now, I'm having this weird feeling like I'm loving her. Maybe…”

Twilight turned to her and the Pegasus hid her feelings quickly. “Oh, sorry, Fluttershy.” She said. “You know how I get with all this discovery.”

“Yes, we DO know that’s how you get.” Applejack agreed. “That’s why were going to help you. Otherwise, you’d take off solo around Equestria looking for every purple bauble driving yourself nuts!”

“So...we have one of six!” Pinkie Pie recalled. “Should we all head out as one group to comb the countryside? Do I need to have a giant comb? I have a giant comb!” She got out a giant comb, and presented it to her friends.

“WHY DO YOU HAVE THAT?!” Rainbow asked in shock.

“WHERE did you have it?” Applejack asked as well.

“Have you SEEN my mane?” She asked as she combed her mane. “This much bounce takes work!”

“You know, I have the most wonderful conditioner for that.” Rarity assured her.

“Conditioner?” Pinkie asked. “I wash my hair with frosting!”

Rarity made a “gag me” look when she saw the frosting. “Is THAT why you smell like vanilla?!”

Twilight cleared her throat. “Can we get back to me? I meant the task at hoof?” She asked impatiently. “Fallen stars should be taken presidence over mane care!”

“There’s never an issuer more important than mane maintenance and upkeep, dear.” Rarity calmed her down. “Except maybe hooficures. You can hide your mane under a hat on a bad day. You can’t hide a chipped hoof as easily. Then, you’d have to get into shoe choices and...”

“Rarity!” Twilight said, her voice raising with impatience.

“Come on, Ponies!” Applejack pep talked her friends. “Let’s go rally up some troops! I think it’ll be best if we all team up, and split up! Let’s go see who’s in town for an adventure! We’ll meet back here in a bit, Okay, Twi?”

“Sounds like a plan!” Twilight was still caught up into the plan.

“I’ll make some more tea cakes!” Spike suggested.

“Oh!” Pinkie Pie jumped for joy. “I’m going to ask Mayor Mare, and Trixie and Starlight Glimmer, and Big Mac and Scootaloo, and Nurse Redheart, and Maud and Minty and Bittersweet, and Mrs. Cake and...”

“ PINKIE!” Rainbow Dash tried to warn her. “It’s not a guest party list!”

“I KNOW that. If I were making a guest list, I would be inviting everypony!” Pinkie reassured her friend. “And I’d be putting up streamers. Do you see streamers?”

“Want to team up, Fluttershy?” Applejack asked her shy friend.

“Oh, no thank you. I have someone in mind already.” Fluttershy told her. “He needs something like this to set up structure in his life. It’ll be good for him. And I have something to tell you girls later on.”

“Are you coming?” Rarity asked the dazed alicorn.

“No. I think I’ll stay here and draw up a game plan for everyone. Planning for faraway destination travel is kind of a strength of mine...train schedules and whatnot...” she said.

“If you’re sure you’re alright, then we’ll leave you to it!” Rarity said. “Be back in a bit!”

“Yes.” Twilight said. “Goodbye.” Spike was trying to take the necklace off her, when she suddenly snapped. “DON’T TOUCH IT!” She shouted. This made Spike jump in fear. “I mean...this gem has a link to all the other stars.” She regained her calm. “I should keep it safe. Maybe it would reveal more clues? I should wear it for...academic purposes.”

“Fair enough.” Spike said, deciding to walk away from the gem. “I wouldn’t trust me with it either.” He walked away, leaving only Twilight in the room.

The other ponies met in a different room where Fluttershy was wanting to reveal a secret about her feelings toward a certain friend of hers. “Uh, girls?” She asked. “Before we round up our friends for a mission to find the stars, there’s something I want to tell you.”

The rest of them turned around to Fluttershy, and were curious as well. They noticed she was looking at Twilight the whole time, and wanted to know as to why she was doing that. “Is there somethin' you wanna tell us, Sugarcube?” Applejack asked her.

“You know how much we appreciate all you do for us, going on adventures and all...” Rarity started to say. “...and we simply adore having you around... but... we worry you might be... ahem... interested in something else?”

“Yeah!” Rainbow Dash said in agreement. “You’ve been looking at Twilight the whole time we’ve had this discussion! Is there anything you want to tell us?” She was eager to know.

“Oh, has it been that obvious?” The Pegasi said in embarrassment and admittance. “I've been... the thing is... I know it's silly, but I... I've been having fantasies about... Twilight.”

Rarity gasped at that at first, but then laughed. “Oh, is that all, darling? Why, you simply need to go up to her. Confess how you feel about her!”

“It's just so hard to tell her that I have feelings for her!” She told her friends. “She’s so beautiful and caring! I-I don't even know where to start confessing my feelings!”

“You can start by talking to someone about how you feel.” Rarity reassured her. “Someone will help you win the pony of your dreams while you try to practice your speech to confess. I'm saying this with love, but... have you ever thought of who to talk to? I've never seen you look this... mmmm...”

“Dreamy?” Pinkie Pie asked.

“Yes, that’s EXACTLY what I was going to say!” Rarity agreed.

“Oh, you’re right, Girls!” Fluttershy said with bravery in her voice. “I will talk to somepony about how to confess how I feel!” Just then, she had an idea. “And I know JUST who to talk to in a situation like this!” She flew off to find her or him.

“I bet it’s Discord.” Rainbow said. “She and him are BESTIES!”

“Oh, shoot!” Applejack agreed. “I reckon you’re right. Besides, she likes spending time with him. What could possibly go wrong?” The others were having uneasy feelings about this.

While Twilight was in the other room, she huffed after Spike’s departure from the castle. An evil smile curved on her face, as her eyes turned pink again! But this was no ordinary feeling. No, this was a possessed feeling by an unknown creature! A creature from the outer limits of space, and a creature who liked causing chaos as much as Discord did! This creatures was none other than...COSMOS!

Cosmos possessed Twilight and began to speak, now that she had a body to take. “At last...” the possessed princess of Friendship said. “...after all this time, somepony powerful enough for to embody has found me!” She took a good look of Princess Twilight from her coronation day as new princess. “And a Princess, no less.” She smiled. “How delightfully fortunate! I will need every piece of my magic back, so I can get back to...him!”

Just then, she thought about the yellow butterscotch pony with pink hair...Fluttershy and how she had been looking at her body the whole time, while Twilight and her friends had this discussion about the new constellation. “But, however...” she thought about what had possibly happened when Fluttershy had looked at her. “Another pony has her heart set on me...” she took a good look at a picture of the bearer of the element of Kindness. “And the element of Kindness no less either...that might be some competition.” She thought about what the feeling could possibly be. “Could it be...” she thought and shivered when she thought it. “That she would have romantic feelings for me, like I do with Discord?!” She put the picture back, and turned back to just herself. “Well, I’ll just have to see about that!” She smiled again, as she got ready for her latest romantic encounter. “Are you ready, Discord, my dear?” She asked, both evilly and excitedly at the same time. “Bit by bit, I’m coming home!” She laughed evilly as a familiar rather female draconniqus formed from the shadows. Cosmos was about to have her full body, but she would need more ponies to possess. That is...unless Fluttershy would have some feelings that would obstruct her plan as well. Cosmos would have to wait when the time was right to reunite with Discord. And then, when the time came, she would be ready!

And that’s the first chapter! Cosmos had already possessed Twilight, but that doesn’t mean she can’t have feelings for somepony too! And what about Fluttershy having feelings for Twilight? Find out soon!
