"Guys? What are you doing here," Krystal asked the group before us.

To be honest, this day was coming but I had to say this wasn't was I expected to meet the Starfox team.

"KRYSTAL!" Slippy smiled as he rushed over and hugged the vixen with a child-like smile causing Krystal to look shocked before smiling and hugging back.

It was a heartwarming scene, to say the least as I crossed my arms.

"Guess us worrying was for nothing," Miyu stated as she walked over to us as the lynx turned to me. "Sorry for interrupting a heartwarming moment love,"

I rubbed the back of my head.

"It wasn't really that I would say... Miss," I ask her name as she held her hand.

"Name's Miyu lover and who might you be," I took her hand with my claw and spoke.

"Zero, I am a friend of Krystal," I state as she broke the handshake with a sly grin on her face.

"I doubt you to are 'friends'," I blushed behind my mask as she stated this before I turned to see Kat looking at me.

"Hello there Zero I'm Kat it's nice to meet a friend of Krystal's," She closed her eyes with a smile as I nodded.

"Likewise," I state as she placed a hand on her chin as she inspected me.

"If you don't might be asking are you some type of cyborg?" I waved my claws.

"No no I'm a protogen,"

"Proto-what?" Miyu asked.

"Protogen were made like this," I held out my claw.

"Made?" Slippy broke the hug and looked at me. "What does that mean?"

"Well my kind isn't born were created our fleshly bits were made in vats before were cyberized," I state as Kat holds my claw looking at it.

"Why would someone do that?" Slippy asked as I held a finger.

"To explore deep space and go where no 'normal' being can go," I state.

"How are you ok with that love?" Miyu asked as I smile.

"Well mostly we accept it at a young age if not we are free to do whatever we want," I tell them as kat lets go of my hand.

"Interesting," Kat says as I turn to Fox as he looks at me with caution.

"You must be Fox," I said aloud as he walks over his hand on his holster.

"Yeah, I am..." Narrowing my eyes I walked over to him.

"Well Fox I've heard a lot about you chief from Krystal and I have one thing to say to you," I state crossing my arms.

He cocked an eyebrow at me.

"What may that be Zero?" He asked as I clenched my fists.

"Your a fucking asshole," I didn't see what the looks were on the star fox's teams face but I stepped forward and jabbed a finger into his chest. "What were you fucking hell thinking when you kicked Krystal off your team,"

Fox snarled as he knocked my hand aside.

"I did it to protect her you fuck it was for her own good," I told me as I spat.

"What it was good for her to be all alone in a galaxy where there are a ton of enemies of your little band guns-for-hire. Didn't you even consider the fact when you kicked Krystal off your team there would be people chasing her down for her past with you guys?" I ask with my hands out.

"Like I know that will happen," He said.

"Bullshit,"

"Bullshit? Bullshit! If I hadn't kicked her off the team she would have ended up like my friend peppy who is now in a hospital bed breathing through tubes. Do you think I want that for her!" He pointed to Krystal as I only laughed. "What's so funny prick,"

"Your fucking stupidity," I state. "So what if one of your crew got a bad number it doesn't mean you have to kick off one of your fucking girlfriend from the team because 'it's for the best' seriously she was in more danger WITHOUT a team. Hell if it was for me to go in and save her from a bunch of pirates who wanted her she would have been captured and only the makers know what would have happened to her,"

"You don't know what your talking about tin can," Fox hissed.

"I think I do Fox Mccloud," I growled.

"So what if I don't know someone would put back a bounty on her head sue me. But I'm here now to take her with me and make sure she is safe," He told me as I cocked an eyebrow.

"What you taking her back on the team," I ask.

"No, I'm making sure she comes with us so I can ensure her safety," He told me as I roll my eyes.

"I think she safer with me Fox," I tell him.

"I beg to differ," He begins to walk away from me. "She is no longer your priority,"

I step in front of him with anger in my eyes.

"Like hell she is,"

"Step aside Zero this is your only warning," Fox said threatening Zero as the protogen stands still. "Or I'm going to take you down and it's going to hurt,"

"No,"

Krystal could only watch as fox took a swing at zero who dodged the attack before jabbing forward with his claw hitting fox in the ribs. Fox winched as he growled before kicked zero in the gut with his leg causing zero to step back from the attack before taking another punch from fox. Zero quickly reacted knocking fox in the chest before punching him in the face as fox backhanded zero from this action.

The protogen growled before coming up with an uppercut but fox dodged the attack before jabbing Zero's chest again before stepping on Zero's paw holding him in place. Fox began to send a series of punches to Zero who blocked some of them before striking his claw on fox pushing him back.

As fox stumbled back zero round housed kicked the leader of star fox causing blood to hit the floor. The leader placed an arm to his face and whipped the blood off it as Fox gave a glare to zero that of a predator.

Giving a war cry fox came out and punched forward hitting zero in the throat as the protogen gawked from the attack as his way of airflow was cut off for a moment. Zero held his throat for a second as Fox began to come forward with another punch but zero was ready this time and blocked the attack before it could hit.

Holding his fist zero sucker-punched fox in the jaw causing the leader to fall down on one knee on the crystal floor as fox rubbed his jaw. Narrowing his eyes fox grabbed a crystal from the wall as Zero held his fists out, fox got up with the crystal in his hand before he kicked zero in the chest. This caught the protogen off guard allowing Fox to come in with the crystal and smashed it on his visor causing the protogen to snap his head back.

*CRACK!*

Krystal gasped as zero slowly got up reviling that his visor was now crack causing his facial expressions to glitch slightly as she saw what looked like Zero's eye. Since she has never seen his face she looked into the crack to see a bright white eye that held anger in it as it looked at Fox.

Roaring Zero ran forward punching his claw out this time hitting Fox in the nose causing the leader to knock back before reaching and pulling out his laser pistol and pointing at Zero. This is when Krystal came forward in between the two fighters.

"STOP!" She shouted.

Fox panting spoke first.

"Krystal step aside," He said as she shook her head with her arms out.

"No I can do that fox I can't let you kill him," She stated looking at fox.

Fox glares at her before sighing and holstering his blaster.

"Whatever... Come on Krystal we're leaving," He waved to her but she shook her head.

"I can't do that either," She said lowering her arms.

"Krystal-"

"I'm going with Zero fox and you can't stop me,"

"But you will be safer with us way don't you see that," He tells her as she shakes her head.

"Fox please don't make this harder I'm leaving with Zero and that's final," She then began to leave the cave as zero still panting limps alongside her.

"Krystal!" Fox shouts but Krystal kept going as they began to disappear into the darkness.
