Hearth's warming eve/Donum Dom special (Christmas 2021-canon)

"Be careful Krystal a fall from that height will result in major injury," Mr. Bones warned the blue vixen who was hanging up some red ribbons in the mess hall while Spike and Zero worked on the sweets.

Krystal looked down at the droid who held the latter she was on before smiling at the said android.

"Don't worry Bones just hold it still I'm almost... There! Done!" Krystal moved back finishing the last of the directions. "Not too shabby huh?"

"The ribbon on your right is 2.1 cms off-center," Mr. Bones stated but moved slightly when Krystal glared at him. "Apologizes my optics might need to be adjusted,"

The Amazon began to climb down the latter before the sound of a fire alarm caused the two to turn and see Zero and Spike accidentally burning the cookies.

"I thought you said you found the perfect temperature!" Spike shouted.

"I did! You didn't put enough butter in!"

"What does that have to do with burning the cookies!"

"EVERYTHING!"

Krystal smiled while the two bickered over baked goods.

It's been almost two years since she celebrated Donum Dom with anyone sure it was only three others if you counted Mr. Bones but she wasn't alone again.

*POOOF!*

Zero used a fire foam sprayer on some pancakes that Spike tried to make but ended up leaving unattended when pulling out the burnt cookies

"NO! MY GEM CAKES!" Spike shouted dread filled his voice while Zero stopped the flames. "Why did you do that!? You ruined them!"

"What? Spike the pancakes were on fire!" Zero pointed out to the young drake.

"That was supposed to happen!" Spike yelled at the Protogen. "It was to crystalize the gems to bring out the sweetness! But I had to put out these things you call cookies!"

Zero: -_-

Lifting up the foam sprayer he fired at Spike covering him in the white mass of foam.

"Oh, it is ON!" Spike grabbed another foam sprayer and fired it at Zero.

"Guys!"

"THIS MEANS WAR!" Zero shouted at Spike while shooting back.

Krystal tried to stop the two before they could ruin the surviving sweets.

"GUYS STOP!"

Spike ducked while Zero fired his sprayer at him but ended up hitting Krystal who was given a face full of fire foam which caused the two to freeze. Not moving from her spot Zero's other half slowly reached up and whipped the foam off her face which caused her to look up at the protogen.

"Um... In retrospect this is Spike's fault Krystal," Zero pointed to Spike who then turned to the cyber-canine.

"WHAT THE FUCK! YOU SHOT AT ME WITH THAT SPRAYER!" Spike shouted before Krystal slowly began to shake. "Oh, shit,"

Krystal gave a war cry before running at Zero and pouncing on him, before shouting at him in Cerinian before grabbing his sprayer and beginning to spray him in the faceplate.

"AGH! SPIKE! HELP ME!"

"Sorry boss you on your own!" Spike dropped his sprayer rushed away but the doors to the mess hall closed in front of him before pushing the release button but he was locked out. "OH DAMN IT! BONES OPEN THE DOOR!"

Spike pounded on the metal doors before Mr. Bones spoke up from the other side.

"I'm sorry Spike I'm afraid I cannot do that," Bones stated before Spike turned to see Krystal slowly walking over to Spike with both sprayers.

"Krystal... please..." Spike slowly began to sink down. "Have mercy on me!"

Krystal still covered in the foam pointed both her sprayer fire systems at Spike.

"No,"

She then fired both without mercy as Spike screamed for help.

After the little fight, the three had calmed down and sat in front of the little heat lantern that they used for a fireplace.

All changed into less soaked clothes from the foam, using the replicator to make some festive clothes along with that Spike decided to make something that wouldn't take too much time and effort.

Plus they kinda ruined all the supplies.

Hot chocolate.

"All right here you guys go," Spike held out two of the drinks to Zero and Krystal.

"Thanks, Spike," Krystal smiled.

Zero's visor: THX

Spike then sat down while looking at Zero who didn't wear much unlike the two of them since he was always wearing his combat apparel but he did add on a nice-looking scarf and a red hat similar to the one Krystal wore.

'Wait how is Zero going to drink with his visor on?'

It didn't take long for Spike's question to be answered.

"What the-"

Krystal turned to Spike with a smile.

"After his last visor broke he made a few adjustments to his new one," Krystal told the drake before Spike just went back to sipping his hot chocolate.

Zero then placed his chocolate drink down before reaching next to him and pulling out two gift boxes both colored to match Spike and Krystal's patterns.

"Happy Holiday you two,"

"Boss? You shouldn't have," Spike exclaimed while being handed his gift. "I didn't get you two anything,"

Krystal looked at the gift box that matched her fur.

"Neither did I,"

The protogen chuckled.

"Hey as captain I have to make sure my entire crew is looked after," Zero playfully stated while drinking his chocolate.

Spike was the first to open his and looked down in it.

"Whoa!" Spike pulled out a pair of black boots specially made for his clawed feet and a pair of matching black fingerless gloves. "Thanks Zero these look amazing,"

"I specially made those for you with a nano weave so they can grow with you," Zero told Spike who smiled at his gift.

"Thanks boss,"

The vixen then opened hers before pulling out a long jewelry box then opened it and she was met with a bracelet with three familiar-looking colored crystals.

"Zero are these?"

"The crystals from the cave? Yeah, I pulled those out of my Visor after Fox broke it with that huge chunk of the stuff," Krystal then placed her hand on two black pieces. "And I put a few pieces of my old Visor... do you like it,"

Krystal turned to him with a smile on her face.

"I love it," Kissing the side of his now red visor. "Can you help me put it on?"

Zero nodded holding her hand before helping her snap on the bracelet and looking at the glowing gems on the piece of jewelry.

"Thanks, Luv," Krystal then laid down her head onto Zero's chest fluff. "Happy Donum Dum,"

Zero then rested his head on top of her own while looking at the lantern.

"Happy Holidays Krystal,"
