The Dragoon Uprising

This is my very first fanfiction and I do hope you readers enjoy it.

Note: The term dragoon can either mean a dragon riding knight or a smaller tiger sized dragon. In this case the latter is applied.

Chapter 1

Wednesday July 8th

Ponyville

Rainbow Dash was flying around town doing her usual showoff routines. While doing some sort of trick she heard a voice call “Rainbow Dash! Hey down here!”. As Dash looked down she noticed Applejack calling for her and she was accompanied by Twilight and Fluttershy.

“Oh hey. Whats the matter guys..” said Dash as she lazily dropped down on the ground and walked over to her friends.

Everypony looked at Dash with upset looks for a few moments until Twilight spoke “Rainbow we just got this message from Princess Celestia and you aren’t gonna believe this.”

Rainbow peeked down at the note as Twilight held it out with her magic.

My Dear Friends

It kills me to have to tell you this tragic news but a royal guard returning from being positioned at the great wasteland far south of Ponyville reported back with horrible things. As I read his letter he carried as he collapsed upon arrival he said that an army of dragoons have amassed at the wasteland and have slain all his fellow guards. I do not understand why these dragoons have suddenly lashed out at us but I fear this may lead to war at this rate. The chief councilor of war affairs has complete dominion over the decisions involving combat situations. That fact worries me as he has said that you six as the bearers of the elements of harmony are the first ones he will draft to combat and I cannot stop him as the decision is his alone.

As she finished reading the letter Dash had nothing to say as the news was extremely shocking and also intriguing as the dragoon race was normally very distant and uninvolved in equestrian affairs.

“Wait I thought that dragoons were peaceful creatures.”said Dash as she pondered the situation.

“Yep this sure is strange ain't it Twilight?” said Applejack.

The group thought among themselves as another tragedy was about to happen that none of them would Imagine.

Meanwhile at Canterlot Castle Princess Celestia was talking with her younger sister Princess Luna.

“Oh Luna I just don't know what to do, I mean the Councilor was very clear about going to war with these dragoons and I don't wish for any bloodshed.”

“Sister I don’t know what to tell you. Why can’t you just overrule the judgement the councilor made?”said Luna.

“I told you earlier Luna, the councilor has the final decision on any war affairs as the hot headed fighters of equestria don't think I should make that choice since I wish for peaceful times.”said the elder alicorn. “What I don’t get is who would lead the dragoon army against us?”

“Oh Celestia its adorable how clueless you are, I mean it pretty darn obvious once you think a little.” said a familiar disembodied voice. “now who would lead an army of dragonkin beings against the nation led by the alicorn sisters? Oh right that's who would do such a thing, ME!” the voice bellowed as the room grew dark and a bright light shone in the center of the area. from this light a long serpentine creature appeared that was made of many creatures body parts. This creature was a draconequess and he was known as Discord.

Yes I am starting it out on a cliffhanger note. honestly that was just laziness but I’ll have more soon. The chapters are all gonna be around this length unless I just lose control of creativity. See ya all in chapter 2.
