The sun had not risen up in Ponyville yet as it was only 3:02 AM. Twilight Sparkle, the possessed/normal princess of Friendship was already awake in her bedroom in her own castle. She was about to head back to bed, but then. She heard a knock on the door. She opened it, and she saw her lover, Fluttershy, the element of Kindness right outside her room. She was shocked and happy to see her friend there.

Fluttershy smiled and whispered “Hi.”

Twilight smiled and did the same as they both kissed each other at the doorway in the dark. After a while they calmly broke the kiss. Fluttershy had some exciting news for Twilight and she couldn’t wait a minute longer to tell her.

Spike came in at the same time the two broke the kiss. He was tired. “Fluttershy?” He asked. “What time is it?”

“Uhh, 9.” His sister said. She even hid the clock in the drawer just to make sure her assistant didn’t suspect anything suspicious.

“But it's dark out.” the drake started to protest.

“Well that's because you always sleep to noon, silly!” Fluttershy giggled to Spike. “This is what 9 looks like.”

Nevertheless, Spike bought the excuse. “I guess I'll get washed up then.” He started to head into the bathroom. “Watch that sunrise.”

“I'm really getting tired of sneaking around.” the Pegasus said. “We can’t just parade around like we’re the king and queen of Equestria. Pretty soon, everypony will suspect something’s up and we’ll have to reveal our secret.”

“Well, our friends know.” Twilight said reassuring to her.

Her lover shot her a glance. “I meant besides our friends...” she said.

Just then, Twilight came up with an idea! “Hey! Y'know what if we went away for a whole weekend?” She asked her friend. “Y'know we'd have no interruptions and we could be alone the entire time.”

Fluttershy beamed at that. “Oh, that’s the same idea I was having!” She said excitedly. “Great minds think alike. And All weekend? That's a whole lotta time to be alone!” She smiled at her lover who did the same.

“Yeah, I can say that I have a class to teach at the school and you can say you have a thing at your sanctuary.” Twilight suggested to her. “We could make our friends think we’d be doing just what they’d THINK we’d be doing, JUST to shake things up!”

“Ohh, I've always wanted to go to this special escape room that they have in Manehattan!” Fluttershy said excitedly. She and the others had done an escape room together, and they failed to beat the griffin record. However, she decided that this could be the first time they had done an escape room alone and for them to finally explore their relationship. “I’ve already got us packed.” She showed her friend all the baggage she had packed for this one occasion. Twilight was impressed by all this.

She was ready to go on this weekend getaway with her friend so they could spend some time together! “Okay, y'know We’re all ready. So, Let's go.” She said.

“Wait! What about Spike?” Fluttershy warned her friend. Luckily, Twilight opened the bathroom door and revealed that Spike was already passed out with a toothbrush in his mouth. The two looked at him and decided to have a good laugh about it.

When morning finally arrived, the others were already there to have breakfast and the friends were so excited to have a good time with them before they left. When they finished their breakfast, Fluttershy made the announcement to her friends.

“Hey, guess what I'm doing this weekend!” She told them. “I'm going to this escape room in Manehattan.”

Her friends were all shocked by this. Applejack spoke up about this. “Oh weird, Twilight just told us she's got a teacher conference there!”

Fluttershy was surprised as Applejack found out the their events were in the same city. She tried to cover it up. “Oh now that-that-that's funny, it seems like Twilight’s conference could've been in Ponyville or Las Pegasus.” She smiled sheepishly.

“Hey, I'm not in charge of where the conference is held.” Twilight told Applejack. “Do you want Everypony to think it's a fake conference? It's a real conference.”

Just then, Rainbow Dash had an idea of something she wanted to do with her friends. “Uh, girls...” she asked. “Is Discord here?”

“No, he’s out shopping.” Fluttershy told her.

“What's going on?” Twilight asked. She wanted to know why Rainbow was planning on spending time with Discord.

“Darn!” The wonderbolt said in disappointment. “I told Starlight to come. And I just need to y'know, talk to Discord about it.”

“Wait a minute!” Applejack started to object. “So when Starlight comes you're just, you're not gonna see US anymore?” She raised her eyebrow.

“Well look, I'm just trying to focus on the "I get to see her” part, all right? And not the part that makes me forget you all are here.” She said to her.

“Wow, so you guys are, you're never gonna be in the same room together, but try to juggle us and her around?” Twilight asked. “How is that even gonna work?”

“I have no idea. I mean… But-but I assure you I will figure it out.” she said as she started to fly out of the castle.

They all reflected on what Rainbow Dash just said, and Spike came in at the same time she flew out. “Doesn’t seem like it's going to work, I mean…” Spike started.

“Hi, guys!” a voice said. The figure flew in and it was Cozy Glow! She was one of the friendship school students that defected to being evil and got put in Tartarus. She later joined Grogar’s team of baddies, but got defeated and turned to stone. However, after the mane 5 discussed things with Celestia, Luna and Discord, they released Cozy from stone and she was later a student of the mane 6 learning about friendship like Starlight Glimmer had been with Twilight.

“Hi!” They all said excitedly to their friend.

“What's going on?” she asked.

“We're flipping Fluttershy’s mattress.” Twilight said a little nervous.

“So I'm thinking, basically we pick it up and then we flip it.” Spike said in agreement to what they just said.

“I think so, Darlings.” Rarity said in agreement. “Yeah that's better than my way.”

They all headed over to Twilight’s room and flipped over her mattress. Cozy wanted her mattress flipped over too so she asked them. “Oh okay, hey guys, would you flip mine too?”

“Aww, man!” Twilight said. She was worried that they would have to put their weekend getaway on hold, but just then, Cozy got a message from Spike’s fire breath.

She read the message. “Oh look! A letter from Princess Celestia!”

“So, Cozy, y'know-y'know how Starlight’s coming right?” The wonderbolt asked the Pegasus filly.

She just blushed at her recent question. “Oh yeah! I know.” Rainbow Dash just smiled smugly as she knew that she knew that Starlight was coming today.

Later, the two lovers and their friends got to the train station. The train was just about to leave when they were saying their goodbyes for now to their friends. “Here's a wrap, in case it gets cold.” Rarity handed the wrap to the two.

“And I packed you a basket of nice fresh apples in case you get hungry.” Applejack added as she gave the apples to the happy couple.

“Have a great time!” Cozy said to them excitedly.

“Oh, we will. And I hope you have fun shopping.” Fluttershy said. The rest of the group blushed at that remark.

The train was ready to take off. “All aboard!” The conductor said as the two got on the train.

The train left the station as Fluttershy and Twilight both waved to their friends, knowing they would be back from their visit soon. “Goodbye!” Fluttershy called out.

“Goodbye, everypony!” Twilight said.

“Fluttershy! Twilight! I'll never forget youuuuuuu!” Pinkie said as she was chasing the train. She them noticed a balloon floating right by her. She had to chase it! “Ooh, something floaty! La-la-la-la-la!” she said as she chased the balloon.

Meanwhile, Fluttershy and Twilight were already on their way to Manehattan! They had this vacation planned since Fluttershy confessed her love to Twilight, and they were ready to spend some time alone with each other and escape the stress back at Ponyville! They had a whole weekend planned for fun, and they knew just how to do it!
