The sun had rose over Manehattan, beginning the start of a bright, new sunny day. Inside the hotel, Fluttershy and Twilight were resting in bed together, despite the tough times they had on their vacation with switching rooms, and losing the griffin record again.

Fluttershy slowly awoke as she got up to start the new day. She stretched and yawned after her sleep. Twilight was still zonked out in bed. Fluttershy looked at her lover and smiled. “Morning, Twilight.” She said, smiling.

Twilight finally awoke, her eyes slowly creaking awake. “Morning, Flutters.” She said groggily.

“You know, despite the griffin record being standing and the fact because we had to switch rooms, all because you wanted to watch TV, I think we still had a good vacation, Don’t you think?” The kind Pegasus asked the alicorn.

“Uh, Huh.” Twilight replied, still sleepy. “I think so too.”

Fluttershy started to head over to the bathroom to get to the phone to call someone. “Twilight,” she asked her lover. “Would it spoil the mood if I called home, you know, just to check on our friends?”

“Mmmmmm....” Twilight said sleepy. “Go ahead, do what you want.”

Fluttershy dialled the number to the castle of Friendship, where their friends usually hang out, when she got no signal or no answer from the phone, she got worried. She hung up the phone. “Twilight, wake up!” She said urgently. “There's no answer at home.”

“So?” Twilight asked, now starting to wake up.

“So, I'm worried.” Fluttershy told her. “I think we should go home.” She got ready to get her things and get ready to leave the hotel.

“All right.” Twilight said, now fully awake and ready to get herself out of bed and out of the hotel. “I suppose my work here is done.” She hopped off the bed, and packed her luggage and got ready to leave the hotel, along with Fluttershy, who was already ready to head out and head to Ponyville as well.

They were making their way through the lobby when the bell pony was about to give them the bill. “Uh, ladies? Here’s the bill for...”

“There's no time!” Twilight said as she rushed past the pony and snatched the bill from his magic. They managed to run so fast, that they ran past the buildings, past the taxis, and all the way to the train station. When they got there, however, they found out that their train had left already. “Oh, no! We missed it!” Twilight said with worry. “But maybe...” she used her magic to get her and her lover on the train. “Okay. We're on the train. Everything should be fine, right?” She asked her friend.

“I think so.” Her friend said. “Gosh, do you think we got everything together before we left? I mean we did leave in such a hurry.”

“Don’t worry, Fluttershy.” She said. “I know we left in such a hurry, but knowing what we packed, everything should be just alright. Besides, what else is there to worry about?” She smiled at her lover and she smiled back. She was right. Nothing could possibly go wrong. What could spoil their one moment of happiness?

Fluttershy took notice the bill they snapped on the way out and wanted to see how much their total tally was. “Okay, I'd like to know how much the room was because I'd like to pay my half.” she said to her friend.

Twilight took a look at the bill and was shocked at what she saw. She turned to Fluttershy, nervous, but was ready to tell her, despite how much the tally costed them. “Okay, fine.” She said. “$300.”

Fluttershy was now shocked at this, because she didn’t realize all the room switching would cost them more than they expected! “300 dollars?!” she asked in shock.

“Yeah.” Twilight said nervously to her lover, who was now just getting angry at how much that cost her. “Just think of it as $25 per room!”

Fluttershy just groaned in anger, and hid her face in her hooves. Twilight did the same. They didn’t want to talk to each other for a few minutes, but after a while, they looked at each other and laughed because like we all know...it was pointless in this situation. Once that cleared up, Fluttershy decided to change topic.

“Do you think our friends are worried about us?” Fluttershy asked. “I really hope they had as much of a fun time as we did! Celestia alone knows how they’re worried about us or not.” She was worried if their friends even cared if they had a good time on their vacation. Twilight, however, was thinking the same thing too.

At the Castle of Friendship, Rainbow Dash and the others were having a good breakfast and a good game together, and it turns out, they weren’t even worried about how Twilight and Fluttershy’s vacation went. In fact, they seemed to be just fine with it.

Rainbow Dash was ready to bring out more pancakes for her friends to enjoy. “Who wants some more pancakes, Everypony?” She asked. Everypony all raised their hands, saying they wanted some more. Rainbow handed them their shares, however, Pinkie gobbled hers up before everyone else could start on theirs.

“Oh, Golly.” Cozy Glow said. “I know we had some fun, but...are you sure Twilight and Fluttershy have had a fun vacation?”

“Oh, I’m sure of it, Cozy!” The wonderbolt said. “I’ll bet they went to someplace really awesome, like...” just then, she noticed the two mares heading up the doorway to the castle. She was excited. “Hey girls! Twilight and Fluttershy are home!”

This made everyone spit out their pancakes. “They are? It does seem rather...sudden for their moment.” Rarity said.

“Ah can’t believe they were gone for such a short time.” Applejack said, and then realized that they said they would only be gone for the weekend. “Then again, they DID say the weekend.”

“Oh, wow!” Discord said with glee. “Fluttershy’s home! Maybe she and I can have another one of our tea parties!”

Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes while smiling. Knowing Discord and Fluttershy, they would probably have another tea party...maybe even tell him how their vacation went, if she was okay with it. She opened the door and was surprised to see the two lovers tired, and their manes messed up, like they had been through a lot. Heck, even Twilight looked like she’d been through a lot like when she went on the train with her friends, to get to her coronation in time. “Hey, girls!” Rainbow said, trying to keep it cool. “How did your vacation go?”

“Two words...” Twilight said to her loyal, yet awesome friend. “Total...failure.” Her lover nodded in agreement.

“Oh...” Rainbow Dash said, a little disappointed, but calm enough to understand. “...did you girls have a good time? Are you okay?”

“We did, and we are...but we need some time to rest.” She said as they both slowly went to Twilight’s room in her castle. Rainbow Dash was confused but seemed to understand that they were both tired and could use some rest and relaxation after their trip back home.

In Twilight’s room, both mares lay tired and outstretched on the bed. They were so tired from all the things that went wrong on this trip...the room switching, Twilight wanting to watch TV, failure to beat the griffin record...they didn’t know what to say.

Finally, Twilight managed to say something to her friend, who was still tired, by the way. “Hey.” She said, slowly, tiredly getting up from her bed. “So that weekend kinda sucked, huh?”

“Yeah, it did.” her kind Pegasus friend said, still tired and laying on one the chairs in the alicorn’s room.

“So, I guess this is over.” she calmly said to her friend.

This made Fluttershy shocked as she quickly shot up like a bottle rocket and went right to Twilight. “What?” she asked in shock and horror.

“Well, y'know, you and me, it had to end sometime.” the alicorn said sadly.

“Why, exactly?” Fluttershy was still confused and she wanted to know why her friend was wanting to end their relationship already, even when it was starting to open up.

“Because of the weekend.” Twilight said dejectedly. “We had a fight.”

Fluttershy couldn’t believe her ears! Twilight Sparkle, the princess of Friendship ending their relationship just because of some silly fight?! She had to talk some sense in her! She got her attention. “Twilight that's crazy!” She objected. “If you give up every time you'd have a fight with someone you'd never be with anyone longer than...” just then, she realized something about opening up her feelings about her possessed/normal princess friend. Twilight realized it too, as they both knew now what it meant. “Ohhh!” They both said in realization.

“So, this isn't over?” Twilight asked, the sadness gone from her voice and hope rising up in her body.

Fluttershy smiled at her friend and giggled at her to tell her it was alright. “You are so cute!” She said lovingly to her friend. “No. No, it was a fight. You deal with it and move on! It's nothing to freak out about.”

“Really?” Twilight asked her. Fluttershy just nodded. She smiled at her, knowing that this fight with them over the weekend all worked out, and they were past the arguing stage. “Okay. Great!” She went over to kiss her.

“Ohh, welcome to an adult relationship!” Fluttershy said as she went over to kiss her.

Twilight stopped her, was now shocked as her eyes slowly widened and her wings slowly went up. “We're in a relationship?” she asked her friend.

Fluttershy smiled at her. “I'm afraid so.” she said to her lover.

“Okay.” she smiled and the both kissed each other, and embraced themselves in a warm hug. They may have had some bumps in the road of their vacation, but at least they managed to work it all out. However, not all things could stay a secret as Rainbow Dash, one of their friends suspected something when she noticed they came back tired from their vacation. But they wouldn’t be nervous about it. They would have to reveal their secret sooner or later. But they knew it would be okay, because that meant they wouldn’t have to keep leaving their friends in suspense and everypony would know. They would be ready to reveal their secret when it was time.
