Fluttershy and Twilight had their vacation get off on the wrong foot, but this day would be different! The girls had organized a day of fun together, and what better way to start off their good note than an escape room?

Ginger Locks was escorting them to their escape room. “Welcome to Manehattan Escapes.” he said in his bored tone. He showed them to their room!

Twilight Sparkle was already excited. “Ooh!” She whooped excitedly. “It's because we get locked in a room and we have to solve puzzles and riddles in order to escape!” She was excited not because they had done this before, but they would get to have some fun together, like they wanted to!

“The clues will lead you to a key to get out.” Ginger Locks said, revealing all the tasks to show them how to escape.

Twilight was already excited because she shouted out “Team-building!” which not only startled Fluttershy, but made Ginger jump in fear. “Whoops.” She said apologetically. “My bad.”

“It’s okay!” He said to her. “It’s not everyday I get enthusiastic participants in this escape room.” He smiled as he headed to his room. “...which makes my job a little better.”

“Oh, Fluttershy! This is great!” She said to her friend. “Some of the brightest minds in Equestria put together these puzzles!”

“Oh, Twilight. I’m just happy to be with you.” She said happy that they were going have some fun times together! She smiled.

“A group of griffons set the record for the fastest escape.“ Ginger Locks told them. “It only took them an hour.”

Twilight and Fluttershy were shocked, but it was nothing they couldn’t handle! “Hah!” Twilight said snarky and excitedly with her game face on. “Griffons barely like each other! My girlfriend and I are basically the poster ponies for amazing friendships! So get your quill ready, bub! You're gonna have to write down a new record!” Fluttershy just smiled and whoo hooed In agreement.

Later in the mission, Fluttershy was cheering her friend. “Come on, Twilight! You rock! Whoo hoo!”

Twilight had just inserted the gem into the space needed. “Okay! Do we need a purple jewel?” She asked.

“Um...I think you mean plum or boysenberry.” Fluttershy suggested.

“Don’t those fruits BOTH mean purple?” Twilight asked her friend. “It doesn’t matter! I got the purple jewel in and solved another clue because our friendship is so true!”

Fluttershy beamed with excitement as she cheered with pride! “Whoo hoo!”

Later on, The two were still trying to fix the whole escape room when they got to another hard task. Fluttershy needed some help. “Uh, Twilight, can you help me, please?” she asked.

Twilight responded by moving the bricks, revealing the symbols that her friends used when they were in the friendship retreat! She put them in, and they finally got the key to get out!

Fluttershy was ecstatic! They had finally managed to get the escape room solved and by themselves without a hitch! She snatched the key from the area. “I got the key!” She cheered. “This is it! I'm so impressed.”

“I'm not.” Twilight said, full of confidence from the latest escape room attempt. “I knew we were the best!”

They both cheered to celebrate their latest success! Twilight had never been more prouder that they have gotten the mission done more quickly than they could’ve with their friends. She turned to her friend and lover. “I wish that our friends were here to see how strong friendships can be when we trust each other and work together!” She said with true courage in her voice. “You've taught me so much, Fluttershy.”

Fluttershy just blushed. “Oh, um...Thank you, Twilight.” She smiled.

“That was lovely.” Ginger Locks said from his office room. “But, um, you know the game isn't over until you turn that key?”

“Gah!” Twilight said as she rushed over to get the key and insert it and turn it. “How did we do?”

“So close.” He said, “You both missed the griffon record by two seconds again. Probably shouldn't have Given your girlfriend a sentimental speech.”

Twilight was shocked as she and her friend had just missed the record again! She got up and whimpered. “What?!” She asked in shock and horror. “We missed the record again?!?!” She shouted in shock at the top of her lungs, “Our record?? OUR RECORD?!?!” She screamed so loud, it reached all the way to Rockefeller Center and beyond all the way to Baltimare! It caught the attention of everyone In Manehattan! Heck, even Ross Geller could hear it!

“I’m afraid so.” Ginger Locks said in disappointment.

Twilight was disappointed too as her chance to shine with her friend and lover and the chance to beat the griffin record had just been ruined again. “Aw, nuts!” she said in anger.

Twilight and Fluttershy both got back to their room and were in a state of dejectment and anger. Twilight was the most angry as she got on her bed and almost popped it when she sat on it. She was really that mad.

“Damn Rollos!” Twilight had shouted in anger, because of the recent moment they just had.

“Yeah. Umm, Twilight can I talk to you outside for a second?” Fluttershy asked. She wanted to comfort her lover in the best time possible, even if she really was that mad.

“Sure!” Twilight said, still feeling a little angry. “I’ve got nothing else to do!” She went outside her room, and went to go see Fluttershy.

Her lover was ready to express her emotions in the best way possible, even if it was a bad moment. “Oh, that escape room today was just awful.” She screamed in her usual manner. Then, she got back to speaking. “I guess some people just don't appreciate really slow ponies.” She giggled in this case because in times like this, you really just had to giggle.

“Well, maybe it was the kind of food that tasted good at first but then made everybody vomit and have diarrhea.” Twilight jokingly said because she knew that in the escape room, they didn’t have the kind of food that tasted so good, that the next minute they barfed.

“Twilight!” Her lover shot out.

“Fluttershy!” She shot back. Then, both of them looked at each other and laughed for a moment because they knew as much as we all did, that moment was pretty pointless.

Back at the Castle of Friendship, Rainbow Dash and the others were continuing to hang out! They were just about to printed blow some boogers with sticky string, when Rainbow got a call on the phone T the castle. “That call must be for me!” She said. “I’ll be right back!” She flew over to the phone while pinkie got ready blow her “boogers!”

“Alright, girls!” The party mare said. “This is going to be the best booger ever that it even makes the booger beast look like a joke!”

“Do it! Do it! Do it!” They all cheered. And Pinkie did so, by blowing some silly string all over that it nearly engulfed everyone in the room. Normally none of them would allow this, but since they were just having fun. They thought, “why not?” They all cheered at Pinkie’s latest booger creation.

Rainbow Dash was already by the phone when she answered it. “Hello?” She asked. She then realized who it was. “Oh, Hi Twilight! How you doing?” She listened in on the girls latest experience on their vacation and how they failed to beat the griffin record again. “What?!” She asked in shock. “You didn’t beat the griffin record again?! I can’t believe this! Oh....oh...oooohhhh....wait what? Okay, I’ll get down to it. Goodbye.” She hung up and flew back to her friends who were just about to do another funny hilarious booger stunt. “Hey, girls? That hotel just called. Said something about Rarity leaving an eyelash curler in her room.”

Rarity who had noticed all this was shocked. “What? What?! I would never leave an eyelash curler in a hotel room, Rainbow Dash! That is very uncouth!”

“ 'Cause I figured Twilight hooked up with some guy and he’d left it there.” Rainbow Dash continued.

Starlight seemed to notice and somehow wondered how Twilight could fall for a stallion like that. She assumed something. “Yes that would have made more sense.” she said to her friend.

“Y'know, I-I don't even feel like I know our friends anymore!” Rainbow said in frustration. “All right, look, I'm just gonna ask you this one time. And whatever you say, I'll believe ya.” The friends turned to Rainbow Dash to listen and were all ears.

“We’re listening.” Cozy Glow said to them. The others nodded as well.

“Alright.” Rainbow Dash said as they were ready to hear the shocking question their wonderbolt friend was about to ask them. “Were they, or were they not on a gay cruise?!“

Her friends were all shocked the Rainbow Dash asked such a question. They didn’t know how to respond, and they sure didn’t know what to say about something like that. Rainbow Dash wanted to know so badly and she was Ted to know what was going on with their friends too...perhaps, all would be revealed when Twilight and Fluttershy got home and revealed what secret they had about themselves that could change their relationship.

And that’s part 2! Twilight and Fluttershy are having more twists and turns with their vacation, but luckily, they’ll get through it!
