First things first, I want to apologize for my English. I'm very good at creating plot, but i couldn't write it down even in my own language but on the other hand it's my first time writing fanfiction so sorry.

Plot is after ending of season 8, so Celestia and Luna are still ruling Equestria.

Zephyr Breeze lost his job at mane theraphy. He met Pinkie Pie while being in Ponyville looking for work, she offered him to go on her Stand-Up. Then it hit him, he liked when other ponies were laughing, was this his destiny, to make ponies smile? Soon he will understand, no, world will understand that Zephyr Breeze is the funniest guy in Equestria! And if it's necessary he will force ponies to smile.

This fanfic tells story about Zephyr Breeze slowly getting into dark and madness and finaly becoming Joker...

Chapter 1 - The Beginning

Cloudsdale:

Zephyr Breeze house

It was 8 AM Zephyr was was getting ready for the work. Weather outside was horrible. “Why the hell it’s raining in Cloudsdale we don’t even need rain, there’s no land, not counting clouds itself” - he thought to himself. As he walked outside taking his umbrella he once again thought about this weather, maybe somthing happend and this rain will last for a few weeks or something. Honestly he didn’t care he had very good job at mane theraphy, nothing including bad weather could possibly break his comf-

“You’re fired Breeze!” - as Zephyr arrived at his job he was greeted with those words of his boss Hoyt.
“Wait, WHAT? I just got here i have like an hour until starting shift!” - he practically screamd after hearing what his boss said to him.
“That’s not why you’re fired, I saw you flirting with one of our customers.”
“I didn’t flirt with anyone... Ohh right. I can explain!”
“I’m waiting.” - Hoyt wanted to hear him out but he already knew what he was going to do with Breeze.
“That wasn’t customer it was my friend Rainbow Dash, she was only checking on me.”
“And you were flirting with your friend?” - he said it ironically but Zephyr didn’t notice.
“You have to admit she is hot and besides I realy like her...” - if you were there you could say he was crying.
“Zeph I believe you but when you were flirting with her there were also other customers that heard your sweet words what if they they don’t come back because they don’t want to hear talking shit to them?”
“Boss, I’m sorry it won’t happen again!”
“Bullshit Zeph, take your stuff and get out...”
“What are you waiting for? Until I lose my patience? Get the fuck out.” - Hoyt said it calmly as if he didn’t care.

Zephyr didn’t said anything, and didn’t take anything he always carried everything he needed with him. That was a very bad day for him...

Few days later...

Zephyr didn’t looked for work he was too upset to even get up from bed. Worst thing about this he saved money only for food but not for the bills which he hasn’t repaid yet.

“Hey, you have to pay the bills Breeze!” - it was Sharlet, the girl who rented him an apartment.
“Could you give me a break this time? I will pay bills later. I have a bad time, OK?
“No not OK Breeze. I’m not a money machine, pay up!
“Maybe i could pay up in the other way? We could go on a date and see what would happen next.”

You have to admit it to him, he was brave but also stupid he should thank to Celestia he managed to save his last money and his life.
After this incident he flew to Ponyville it wasn’t his first choice but there he had some chance to at least survive.

“God it was fucking intense, Is it even legal to kill other pony when he doesn’t pay up bills? I definitely won’t taking chances in next apartment.” - he said to himself.
“Where do i get job anyway? This little town doesn’t give me too much choice... How do Fluttershy even live in here...” - at that moment Zephyr remembered something.
“Oh sweet Celestia Sis and Rainbow Dash are to going kill me! I promised to them to never give up. If they will see me without job and home... I’m doomed... Wait, what’s that noice?

It was Pinkie Pie she was singing (of course). It was probably that smile song she used to sing everytime when he was in Ponyville. “What a beautiful voice” - he thought to himself. After a while she stoped singing and crowd dispersed. She noticed him.

“Oh, Hi Zephyr!” - She screamed.
“Hi, Pin..” - he didn’t finnished because she hugged him very tightly.
“What’s wrong Zeph? You weren’t happy few seconds ago.” - Zephyr had smile on his face as he noticed her so how...
“How could you possibly know that?”
“I felt disturbance in the force.”
“What?”
“Oh, nothing. Just say what’s wrong.”
“Well I was kicked out of my work and home. Now I’m worried about...”
“That you won’t keep your promise not to give up? I will help you!”
“How did you... You know nevermind, I don’t think you could help me finding new job I already tried that, it didn’t worked out.”
“Did you tried everything?”
“Yes.”
“Even, Stand-Up?”
“What’s Stand-Up, is it about standing still and wear those stupid dresses like Spike do when Rarity ask him?”
“No silly! Well I think that’s called differently, more likely it’s called friendzone.” - after that they both laught. Pinkie truly knows how to make someone smile.
“Oh and speeking about Stand-Up you will like this. I’m about to give my performance, just go with me and you will see if you like it.”
“What do I have to lose anyway? I mean if it won’t work i could just run away to Everfree Forest and live there... again.”
“That’s the spirit! Come with me, we don’t have much time.

Way to the “Haha”

“So, how is your relationship status with Rainbow?” - Pinkie definetly wanted to tease Breeze with those words.
“It’s cool you know, I think I’m much closer to her heart everyday...”
“Didn’t you thought about moving on? She’s probably a lesbian you know?” - Pinkie interrupted him.
“Nope, If she has a rainbow flag as her mane that doesn’t mean she’s lesbian.”
“Maybe you’re right but didn’t you think there’s someone else that could reciprocate your feelings?” - Pinkie this as she was expecting something...
“Why’re you asking?”
“No reason... Oh look we’re here!”

Ponyville:

At Haha

They walked throught backstage doors. It wasn’t big building, well at least backstage wasn’t big. There was big room with a lot of tables for audience. What’s wierd Pinkie looked nervous.

“Pinkie? What’s wrong? You’re shaking a little bit too much for, you know, yourself?
“Yeah, It’s just, I’m not used to giving show for ponies that I don’t know.”
“But you’re Pinkie! And besides... Wait, What do you mean, you don’t know these ponies, I thought you know everyone in Ponyville!”
“Tonight, it’s special night, ponies from all over equestria arrived to see him.”
“Him?”
“Murray Franklin, A guy that makes Murray Franklin Show in Canterlot, That’s most famous comedian!”
“Sorry, still nothing, I’m like just started to even think about comedy.”
“Oh, yes sorry. Anyway go get yourself a table it’s about to get started and I’m going to be announced first by Murray!”
“Ok Pinkie, I wish you luck!”
“Thanks I will need a lot of luck if I’m not going to screw this up...”

As soon Zephyr found free table show started...

”Hello! I’m Gene and i wanna to tell you that I’m very happy that we arrived to this historical town and without unnecessary extension of my speech. Please give big applause for...”

”MURRAY FRANKLIN!”

In the background Murray’s Orchestra started to play song “That’s Life” and Murray walked through big colorful curtains.

All the ponies began to stomp when they saw their favorite comedian. “Damn this dude must be the best for real!” - thoughts of Zeph were interrupted by Murray who began his speach...

“Thanks for this great welcome. This town realy knows how to greet someone. Are you ready to smile everypony?”

The whole room started to cheer...

“So let’s get started, First to make you smile is, snare drums please...”

”PINKIE PIE!”

“Thank you Murray for inviting me at the show!” - she said to Murray so only he could hear it.
“No problem kiddo, just give them reason to laugh!” - Murray said a little bit louder than Pinkie.

“I was wondering why is everypony so... - Pinkie started her performance.

After her first joke whole audience started to laugh that include Zephyr of course. He didn’t know why but with every joke she made his smile wider and wider as his laughter louder and louder. The only thing in his mind was: “How’s this possible to be this stressful before show but while actualy making it being completly calm. And i realy wanna know is she making her jokes before show or does she make them on the spot?”

“That’s my time everypony, hope you had wonderful time goodnight!” - as audience cheered her, she walked off the stage and walked to Breeze table at corner by end of the room.
“Wow Pinkie that was amazing!” - as she sit right next to him, he huged her.
“Umm...Thanks” - saying this she had blush on her cheeks.
“So what do you think do you think you could do this?” - she asked him after few seconds of silence.
“I don’t know Pinkie I mean i realy liked it especialy one part...”
“Which is?”
“I liked when ponies were laughing I don’t know why but it made me smile like not only from the jokes itself but from happiness of ponies... Weird right?”
“No it’s not weird, I think you have a knack for it!”
“You mean it?”
“Yes, of course! You can go to my place and I could teach you some things about comedy, then you could try Stand-Up by yourself.”
“Well, since you insist...”

It took a while until last comedian walked off the stage... And so Murray entered the scene to announce ending of the show.

“That would be our last performance for tonight but no worries we will be seeing eachother in two weeks! Stay safe and always remember

🎶That’s Life!🎶

It was 6 PM, Ponies started to get up of their sits Pinkie and Zephyr didn’t had to wait unitl everypony would get out, because they were close to the exit.

“Shit, Pinkie i have a problem!” - as they walked to Sugarcube Corner Zeph realised something...
“What happend?” - she asked with a slight fear of what could happen.
“I don’t have any place and money for hotel to sleep this night, and no I won’t go to Fluttershy!”
“No worries big guy you can sleep in my room at Sugarcube Corner!”
“Wouldn’t it be, you know, weird?”
“Why? We’re friends! That’s what friends are for!”
“Well that’s a relief. So we will sleep in one bed?” - he said this in his flirty way.
“Don’t push your luck.” - she said this between gigles. “I have a camp bed, don’t worry it’s comfy.”
“Thanks Pinkie, You’re literaly saving my ass.”

Ponyville:

Sugarcube Corner

“So... We’re alone in here?” - as they arrived Zephyr asked her becouse he didn't notice or hear anypony.
“Yup, Cakes and their kids left for vacation and they wanted me to take care of Sugarcube Corner for this time.”
“Where’s your room? I didn’t had my Siesta today I’m tired.”
“Oh no Zephyr I know how long your Siesta can take, besides if we start today you will have more time for practicing tomorrow.”
“Ugh... Fine, whatever you say Pinkie.”
“Then let’s get started... but wait i didn’t told you something important!”
“What?”
“You have to choose your clown name!”
“Clown name?”
“Yeah, I mean i call it that way, it’s name that you use at your shows.”
“Why do i have to use it? You don’t have any...”
“Who said i don't? My true name is Pinkamena Diane Pie.”
“So Pinkie Pie is name abbreviation?”
“No it’s my Clown name!”
“Whatever, I don’t know how to call myself.”
“Just think, Maybe it’s in song that you like.”
“Hmm... I know!”
“So tell me what is it?”
“Carnival.”

It’s 8 PM Pinkie Pie started to teach newborn Carnival something about comedy...

“So, do you know what’s comedy Breeze?” - she asked him with a little grin.
“Yeah, I just saw it while you were on the stage back in Haha, it’s all about making someone smile by jokes.” - his answer was obvious as her question.
“Yes that’s true, in part. You don’t have to make jokes to make someone smile, you can do it also by... for example, making funny faces, magic tricks or just dressing like clown.” - she made those examples to make him more curious about his possible future job.
“What the hell is clown?” - Zephyr he was brought up without stress so he didn’t heard about clowns because most of them could even scare young ponies.
“Wow, I didn’t expected to hear that question but i get it you just wanna know about everything and I will help you with that. Clown is type of comedian that most of the time wears white make-up and very weird, colorful and funny suit. They’re known for their slapstick comedy, which include lot of movement.” - Pinkie tried her best to make this short and clear description on the clown, hoping she did her job well.
“That’s very interesting actually.” - he said that with certainly in his voice.
“You’re just playing around do you?”
“No I’m serious, maybe if i will fail stand-up i could just paint my face with white paint and do stupid things like i usually do and people will pay me to se me doing so!”
“Zeph, first of all you’re not doing stupid things usually, and secondly you won’t fail stand-up, Pinkie Promise!”
“Well if you said Pinkie Promise i can tell you’re serious... Oh wow it’s that late? We should go to sleep.” - it wasn’t his excuse it was truly late.
“Yeah we should get some sleep, tomorrow we can start again.”

Ponyville:

Sugarcube Corner 6 AM

Zephyr never wanted to sleep to short but Pinkie was a early bird so he had no choice. As she started to work on their
breakfast Zeph woked up because of the noice.

“Pinkie what are you doing?”
“Breakfast of course!” - she answered to him with smile.
“Yeah I know but why are you so loud?”
“Oh, Sorry i forgot that you’re here I’m always loud when I’m alone, well louder...” - her hair got straight down but only for a moment.
“It’s ok Pinkie, that give me a opportunity to help you!” - with those words he made her happy again and maybe put a little blush on her cheeks.
“Okey dokey! Come here i will show you what to do.”

As he started do to follow hers instructions. She was doing her own part. They were making only breakfast but it took a while until they made it. After the meal Zeph wanted to return the favor to her.

“Hey Pinkie can I do the dishes?”
“Emm, Ok Zeph. Thanks.”
“No I should be thanking you. You’re saving my life and also showing me new way for my life, that’s a big deal.” - he was making her blush way too much.
“Don’t mention it my pleasure.” - as she said those words she waited until Zeph washed the last plate.
“Ok, that should be it. What we will do now?”
“I have something on my mind, come with me Carnival.” - she said this as Breeze gigled.

Ponyville:

Laugh Center - School for Beginner Comedians and Clowns 8 AM

“So, what is this place?” - Zephyr asked Pinkie as they arrived.
“It’s school but no worries they are not judging you or antything you can just go out try telling jokes and if you will succeed and make someone laugh, you can even earn money.”
“But what happen if I will fail?”
“Nothing, but I know you won’t fail.”
“You didn’t even teached me any jokes how am I suposed to make someone at least grin?”
“I didn’t teach you but back then in Haha you watched me and you know how to act etc. You don’t have to copy me. Just be yourself, improvise.”
“Improvise? Well ok Pinkie, if you say that I can do that, I belive you.”

”So our next performer is new here so please give him a warm welcome. Please welcome...”

”Carnival!”

After he walked on the stage he manage to actually make his first joke and belive it or not he made ponies in audience laugh a little but it wasn’t ending it was a beginning, so he made another joke referring to the previous one and whole audience started to laugh very loud. He had attention of the whole audience and his show lasted for one hour! He could make even more jokes but he wanted some rest so he thanked for for the applause and walked off the stage.

“Wow, man you should think to start doing it professionally, here’s your money you deserve it.” - It was Layout a unicorn that was running this place.
“I’m actually here to get started and thanks for the money!” - as he said goodbye to him Pinkie came up to him.
“I told you Breeze you got that in you! Let’s go outside you might be successful but you still need to learn somethings. - Pinkie and Zeph walked out of Laugh Center and...
“Hey Pinkie, Zeph wait.” - as they turned around they saw familiar face.
“Oh, Hey Dash!” - Pinkie said that with smile.
“Rainbow! Wait, you were there whole time?” - Zephyr asked her with blush on his face.
“Hell yeah! I didn’t expect to ever tell you this but you were awesome! When did you started thinking about comedy? You’re very good at it!”
“Well I... Umm...” - Zephyr started to stutter as he didn’t wanted to Rainbow Dash know about that he was kicked out of his job.
“He came across me by accident and as he had free time in his job I asked him to go on my perfomance and it just went this path to this place...”
“Oh, right i thought I forgot about something. Sorry i have to go to Wonderbolts headquarters for training. See you around Zeph, Bye Pinkie!”
“By RD! - Pinkie screamed.
“See ya Rainbow!” - he watched as his favourite pony flew away.

“Walets, money, jewellery.”
“Wha...”

Behind them, there were ponies, armed with knives. They weren’t joking.

“Please do we look like ponies with money by the waist?” - Zeph tried to jokingly get out of this fucked up situation.
“You’re funny, and I don’t like funny ponies.” - without any hesitation he attacked Breeze by kicking him in head with his hind hooves and after Zeph fell to the ground he took his money. Pinkie didn’t to anything but she wanted to, she was just scared that they will kill him and also stab her.
“Please, don’t hurt him anymore, here’s my wallet just please leave us.” - she was saying that with tears in her eyes.
“Good You know your place bitch. Common guys before police show up.” - as they ran away she checked on Zephyr.
“Zeph! Are you alright don’t worry I will get you some help!”

Zephyr Breeze didn’t said anything he started to laugh but he didn’t wanted to, he knew that and she knew that.
He got a head injury. Fortunately, a hospital was nearby and rescuers arrived quickly...

Waiting Room

Pinkie Pie was shocked. What could happend to Zephyr? After doctors took Zeph to operating theater, Pinkie quickly left hospital and manage to find Spike who send letters to her closest friends. First arrived Fluttershy...

“Who did that and where is Zephyr!?” - Fluttershy yelled with tears in her eyes.
“Calm down Fluttershy, he’s undergoing surgery. And i don’t know who robbed us, I didn’t saw them before.” - Pinkie tried to hold her own tears but she was still shocked and terrified.

They were interrupted as they saw door open.

“Hey, it’s me Rainbow sorry that I didn’t arrived sooner. I see your face Fluttershy, don’t worry about Zeph, he is tougher than you think.” - Rainbow Dash arrived to hospital in wonderbolt suit.
“I know, it’s my brother! But it just... Something bad happend to Zephyr acording to Pinkie Pie.” - all of the friends got their own versions of letters, letter for Fluttershy included more specific informations.
“So, what happend to him Pinkie?” - Rainbow Dash asked.
“Maybe we should wait for others to come...” - Pinkie wanted to emphasize gravity of the situation.

So, three friends alongside with Spike that was outside, waited for the other three. As soon as they arrived Pinkie started to tell what happend...

“He started to laugh? Why? Did he didn't fell antyhing or what?” - Twilight was terrified and curious.
“I’m not a doctor but i think he might got a head injury.” - Pinkie answered.
“I guess we will know in a moment, doctor is comming!” - Fluttershy informed other in the room.
“I’m sorry to inform but I have good news and also bad ones” - doctor tried to not stress too much Fluttershy and others.
“Please tell us good news first.” - Fluttershy was crying but tried say that without stuttering.
“He’s alive and won’t have any problems with walking, Physically, he is completely healthy... well almost.
“Almost?” - Rainbow asked worried about bad news.
“His brain was dammaged in weird way. Pinkie, you said he was laughing after that hit in the head right?”
“Yes, he did and...?” - Pinkie, as well as the others wanted to know what was wrong with his mental health.
“He now has a very uncommon sickness called “Pseudobulbar Affect”. It’s a medical condition causing sudden, frequent and uncontrollable laughter that doesn’t much how somepony fell. It can happen in ponies with brain injury and that happend in Zephyr case.” - as doctor spoke silence formed in the room.
“I understand that you want some time to process it so I will leave you. Soon nurse will get you, so all of you could see Zephyr and help him.”

All of them were now in shock. How could this happen, who where ponies that did that bad thing? Those questions were in heads Mane Six and Spike. After a lot of hours Zephyr’s condition stabilized and they could enter the room just to watch as Breeze was sleeping, conected to medical equipment.

“It’s ok little brother. Your big sis is here...” - Fluttershy said that stroking the loose mane of Zephyr with a relief.
“Yeah and also I’m here, I know that you could say right know that I’m crazy or something but I’m happy that I’m here with you.” - Rainbow Dash said with little smile and also tears in her eyes.
“We are all here for you Zeph...” - rest of friends said those words together.

Zephyr couldn’t respond, but they all know that he would be grateful.

“And we are here also for you Fluttershy.” - Twilight said.
“Thanks, Twilight and all of you for help.”
“Oh and for you Rainbow.” - Twilight added.
“Why for me?” - Rainbow Dash didn’t wanted to hear answer but it was rude not to ask.
“We all know that you really reciprocate his feelings.” - Twilight said with a little grin as Rainbows face turned red.
“What? Why are you saing thi... You know what, no I won’t be acting like a stupid child. Yes I do, but please if he wakes up, don’t tell him. He’ve changed and i don’t want him to act like old Zeph again.” - Rainbow hoped for her friends to understand.
“Pinkie promise.” - all of friends agreed not to tell Rainbows little secret but Pinkie was a little sad inside, she was also the one that was in love with Zephyr but she joined Pinkie promise becouse she didn’t wanted to destroy frendship between her and Rainbow.
“Ok. So, we’ve done with embarrassing Rainbow, what will we do next?” - Spike said playfully.
“Maybe we should have some sleep it’s been a while in here.” - Applejack made a point.
“Oh, no I forgot!” - Fluttershy screamed.
“What’s wrong darling?” - Rarity asked.
“I didn’t told my parents he is in hospital I have to tell them.” - Fluttershy said.
“I can send letter to them.” - Spike wanted to help a friend.
“Thanks Spike, but I have to do it in person.” - Flutter shy reply.
“Don’t worry Flutters i will be with him” - Rainbow said. Fluttershy noded and walked away.
“Ok everypony, we can meet here tomorrow but now seriously we need some sleep.” - Applejack said.

Everypony left the room except Rainbow Dash that was looking at Zepyr. “Don’t worry he will be fine, he will only just laugh in random situations. I mean, it’s not that bad is it?” Rainbow tried to calm herself in her thoughts. “Previous adventures were fun but that... it wasn’t something that anypony expected. Ponies armed with knifes? What happend to Equestria? Things just went bad, very bad.”

Meanwhile, from radio that was playing in the background, the presenter began to talk about the news of the whole day...

”Good Evening, it’s 8 PM October 15th. Breaking news from Cloudsdale unstoppable rain was caused as offical authorities state by known chemical distributor Ace Chemicals, company can be sued by anypony who has suffered material or health damage. In the other news new gang expands it’s influence across Canterlot. Ponies say that their boss is called The Penguin. Celestia, what a name and what a world...”

Ponyville Hospital:

5 AM Zephyr’s Hospital Room
Zephyr is waking up from long sleep after the surgery...

“Zeph? You’re awake!” - Rainbow Dash huged Breeze but she quickly released her embrace as her face turned red .
“Yeah, I’m awake.” - Zephyr said that with a short yawn.
“So, do you know where you are?” - Rainbow tried not to worry Zephyr too much.
“Yes, I know. Doctor told me everything.” - he answered.
“How is that possible? I was gone for an hour to get myself some food.” - Rainbow Dash pointed.
“And that’s when Doctor told me. It wasn’t a surprise when he told me about this sickness because i started to laugh when i woke up.” - Zephyr was smiling while saying this.
“And you fell asleep in an hour?” - that was stupid question, since she knew Zephyr.
“Rainbow i can fall asleep in one minhautehahahaHaHaHAHAHAHA...” - Zephyr couldn’t handle his laughter, he was laughing for few minutes. After he stoped they could finaly start talking again...
“I will never get used to it...” - Zephyr spoked first seeing that Rainbow couldn’t say a word.
“No worries I’m here to help you. And that laugh realy suits you.” - Rainbow finaly said something.
“Yeah... but what about other ponies?”
“What about them?”
“You know what’s the worst part of having a mental illness? It’s about that ponies expect you to behave as if you don’t.” - Zephyr said that hoping that she would understand what he had in mind.
“Don’t worry, Ponies aren’t like that! They will understand... Besides, it’s not a mental illness.” - Rainbow quickly pointed.
“Yeah i know it’s not but it looks like one and Ponies are like that!” - Zephyr tried to say it loud but he couldn’t because of medicines.
“No Zeph, they’re not. I know that!” - Rainbow maintained her opinion.
“So why am I here?” - After those words Rainbow couldn’t argue.
“Well I don’t know... yet! I’m gonna find out who did that to you!” - Rainbow stood up.
“Rainbow wait, aaand she’s gone...” - he apparently forgot that she is the fastest pony in equestria.

Ponyville Hospital:

8 AM Zephyr’s Hospital Room

“Hey Zephyr it’s me Fluttershy.”
“Hey, Big Sis!” - Zeph answered.

“So, where are our parents? I thought they will arrive with you.” - Zephyr said that after noticing no one besides Fluttershy in the room.
“They’re busy...” - Fluttershy said that as quite as possible.
“They’re too busy to see their own son in hospital bed?” - he was furious but yet said it calmly.
“They will be here as soon as they will have time.” - Fluttershy didn’t wanted to tell real reason why they didn’t have time but Zephyr Breeze noticed it, he knew his big sister for his whole life.
“Where are they Fluttershy?” - this time Zephyr said it without any emotions.
“They’re emm... in Cloudsdale.” - Fluttershy finaly get courage to say anything at all.
“Yes they live in there, and?” - Zephyr still didn’t got his answer.
“And, they kinda... do.. don’t want to come here...” - Fluttershy stuttered.
“WHAT?!” - Zephyr cried.

“Wait, you know about me being Carnival?” - Zepyr asked a little terrified that his secret will see the days light.
“I know also about that you were kicked from your job and house. But don’t worry I’m not mad I know why you got kicked out so no fucks given.” - Fluttershy tried to put on a serious face while saying this.
“No fucks given? Are you trying to use youth slang?” - Zephyr smiled and laugh a bit.

“Well then. So about Carnival, I talked to Rainbow before you showed up and i have some negative thoughts about it.” - Zephyr said.

“I don’t know. Why?” - Zephyr was suprised by that question.
“So we can learn to pick ourselves up.” - Fluttershy answered and after a short silence Zephyr spoked.
“You know what sis? You’re right. I know what to do! I will make this laughter part of my act! - Zephyr once again was happy.
“Wow, i thought it will take more time to convince you.” - Fluttershy was suprised.
“Yeah, maybe old Zephyr would take more time to convince but I’m no longer that guy. I’m Carnival and I’m not giving up so easily!” - Zephyr finally accepted who he really was. He was Carnival.
“So can I call you Carnival now? It’s a pretty good name...” - Fluttershy asked.
“Yeah, why not. Call me that if you want, and you know what. Tell all your friends that they can call me like that from now on. But don’t tell Pinkie I think i owe her something, and I want to tell it by myself.” - Carnival said to his sister and she noded.

This will be start of a new era for Equestria. Era of joy and laughter.

Rainbow arrived at Crime scene

"You can't be here ma'am. Leave or i will force you to do so." - the policeman stopped her before she got behind the yellow tape.
"You know who I am? I'm Rainbow Dash a member of wonderbolts and best friend of Twilight Sparkle, and if you want to keep your job you will let me pass!" - Rainbow said without any hesitation while giving him furious look.
"Sorry, didn't recognized you... emm yo..you c..can go." - he was stuttering, he knew that he fucked up.
"Great! Now leave me alone i need to think." - as officer left alone in this place she started to talk to herself.

"Ok, so i have here only one evidence to check, nothing at all. Why they even bother to put here this yellow tape? These robbers didn't left a thing, not even a hoofprint... Or did they? Maybe ther're some witnesses or ponies that at least heard something." - as she ended with thinking she entered the Laugh Center. There was nopony except bartender and some comedians that were leaving soon. She walked to bartender.

"So i can assume you've heard about that robbery in front of this building right?" - Rainbow asked politely.
"Not only that, I've seen where those robbers went!" - bartender answered.
"And you did said that to police right?" - Rainbow hoped to hear some good news.
"No, they couldn't give me too much money anyway so i shut my mouth and waited for opportunity like this." - he said it with grin.
"You realy think I'm not going to drag you outside and beat the living hell out of you?" - she replied also with grin.
"Sweet Celestia, fine! They ran towards this newly opened bar called Iceberg Lounge. Ponies say that Penguin runs that place and all bad guys from Equestria are safe out there." - bartender didn't even waited for another question from Rainbow and show her way to this bar...

"Here's go nothing!" - Rainbow thought as she opened doors to this bar. She was welcomed with menacing looks and awkward silence but regulars quickly returned to drinking. She aproched to second bartender she had to talk too, to get some information.
"I need answers! And if i won't get them, I will tell Princess Celestia to come here and without any trial burn this place down!" - bartender only looked at Rainbow Dash and he knew what she was after. Everyone knew who she and Fluttershy's brother was.
"They aren't welcome here, we kicked them out and told them to go back to their hideout." - he answered Rainbow without thinking.
"And you're telling me this so easily because?"
"You've made yourself clear, and besides they're our enemies. They also need to be punished for stealing from us! They're group of lunatics that wear Scars insted of tattoos or something and that's also their name the Scars. Even we have some dignity." - Rainbow didn't wasted more time in there and she went looking for Scars hideout.

Everfree Forest:

"Hey, I know you donkeys are here! Show yourself!" - Rainbow screamed as she entered cave.
"That's was not wise commning here alone..." - voice from darkness spoke.
"Who told you I'm alone?" - as Rainbow spoked Twilight ignited light, showing that she is here and also Shining Armor with royal guards that came to help theirs former boss. Scars couldn't stand a chance, in a minute they were all dead.
"Thank you Twilight! And of course you too Shining." - Rainbow spoked after this short fight.
"You're welcome. Good you turned for me to help, I can't imagine what they could do to you if you've been here alone.
"Yeah, I'm not that stupid anymore. I've learnt that friends are always for me to help. Thanks again and sorry I have to go I want to go to Zephyr to tell him good news!" - Rainbow told Twilight and her brother Shining goodbye and flew away to see Zephyr.

Ponyville Hospital:

"Hey Zephyr, hey Fluttershy, great news! I found the guys that were responsible for that. Me and Twilight took care of them!" - Rainbow said happy as she entered the room.
"That's great Rainbow! I hope they've got what they deserved..." - Fluttershy responded.
"Yeah that's realy grehahahaHaHaHahaHahaHAHAHAHAHAHaHaHahaha..." - Carnival began to laugh uncontrollably again.
"Celestia, sometimes this can become a hassle over time... oh and by the way call me Carnival now..." - Carnival spoked.
"Well ok, that works for me! Oh and by the way, when I entered hospital, doctor said you can leave tomorrow!" - as Rainbow said that, Fluttershy looked happy and so was Carnival.

After few minutes Pinkie arrived carrying homemade cupcakes.

"Here, these are for you Rainbow i know that you've been seating here for entire night!" - Pinkie said, and also made Rainbow blush.
"Damn it Pinkie! I told you not to tell him about that..." - she spoked quietly only for Pinkie's ear.
"Sorry Rainbow..." - Pinkie apologised also that Carnival couldn't hear.
"Hey, girls emm, can you leave me with Pinkie for few seconds?" - Carnival interrupted their whispering.

"What's up Zephyr?" - Pinkie asked.
"That's about my name, I already told Fluttershy and Rainbow that I want to be called by everypony Carnival." - Carnival was smiling while saying this.
"Wow, that's a big step forward but I can tell that this could help you with your fresh start!" - Pinkie stated.
"Yeah I know. Fluttershy even helped me with my act! I'm gonna use my condition as part of it!" - Carnival said.
"That's great idea! And ponies won't be suprised or scared to see you laughing in random places, because you're that Famous Comedian!" - Carnival blushed.
"Famous comedian? You're a little bit too far for now." - Carnival laugh a bit at the end of his sentence.
"No, it won't take too much time to ponies notice you!" - Pinkie Pie agains stated.
"Thanks Pinkie, you're a good friend to me..." - Carnival huged her after saying that.

“Celestia, it’s good to be back from dead!” - Carnvial strated after leaving hospital alongside with Rainbow and Fluttershy.
“From dead? That wasn’t that serious!” - Fluttershy obviously didn’t catch a joke.
“Fluttershy I realy need to teach you how to smile.” - Rainbow dash said.
“Hey, that’s my job... I mean I think it is.” - Carnival added.
“Oh, and by the way, I have to go, Wonderbolts are a little bit furious about me leaving them just to see you leave hospital. See you soon.” - Rainbow Dash quickly wave at her friends and flew away.
“So, do you want to see your parents Zeph?” - Fluttershy asked.
“It’s Carnival and no...” - he spoked with no emotions.
“Why? They can see you now...” - Fluttershy bowed her head slightly.
“I want to focus on looking for my new job. If I will find some time they could come to me and talk but for now...” - Carnival stoped in the middle of sentence and looked away from Fluttershy.
“What’s wrong?” - Fluttershy asked.
“Nothing just tell parrents I love them. I have to go to begin my new life here in ponyville or maybe Canterlot.” - as he finished speaking he flew away and was looking forward to his future. Nothing could destroy his new life, nothing...

Two weeks later...

“Darling we know that Zeph... I mean Carnival is doing great but his new job as a party clown? He said that he wanted to be a comedian. So wy did he chose being party clown?” - Rarity asked Pinkie Pie.
“No one wanted him going on the stage and laughing insted of making jokes, and you know him, he never gives up.” - Pinkie answered sadly.
“Celestia, those Ponies have became real pricks in this times...” - Applejack made a good point.

Canterlot:

Everything Must Go! - Music Shop

Carnival was a party clown (In this place i want to add that he is wearing make-up, it’s similar as the first make-up of Arthur Fleck and try to imagine it (somehow) but difference is that Pony wears it so keep that in mind), his job was to go on the parties, go to hospitals to make sick children happy, and also
advertise shops. This time it was a third option. Owner of music shop was closing business so he had to sell all instruments that were left as quickly as possible. It wasn’t a hard job, only thing Carnival had to do was dancing and spining a sing with name of the shop. Again what could get wrong...

“Hey, nice outfit clown.” - Carnival tried to ignore people who annoyed him but that wasn’t easy...
“Clown was supposed to be funny, you know that right?” - he didn’t even had time to looked at those bunch of kids because one of them hited the sign and then took it and ran away. Quickly Carnival started to run after them and also calling someone to stop them but they were too fast and no one could even react in time. They turned into dark alley and stoped. Why did they stoped? Carnival didn’t had time to even think about that because as he get close enough to them he was hited by the stolen sign. They’ve kicked him for a while and then fled. After few seconds while he was lying on that street he started to laugh...

“It couldn’t happend again! And why I have to laugh right now why i didn’t laugh before maybe they would be too scared of me to even think of attacking me.” - Carnival thought to himself.
“Oh, sweet Celestia, are you alright?” - stranger with female voice spoked.
“Yeah, I guess I used to it. Why are you anyway?” - Carnival was suprised to see anypony here, it was a dead end.
“I saw those kids runnig away. I thought someone attacked them but I think that it was the other way around. Common let me help you.” - she said and then she give Carnival helping hoof.
“Thanks. What’s your name if I can ask?” - Carnival asked.
“It’s Pixie Cut, and you are..?”
“I’m Carnival.” - he answered quickly.
“Carnival, that’s a weird name... I mean no offense.” - she blushed.
“Non taken, My true name is Zephyr Breeze but i use my clown name Carnival because i like it more.” - he explaind.
“Oh ok, I get it. So were do you live... I mean ask because i want to go with you. I mean just to make sure that you’re ok.” - she blushed again.
“Wow, We’ve just met but ok. I guess I need someone to at least call help if I would faint cause this beating.
“Great. I mean... I emmm... Can we just go before i embarrassed myself completely.” - her face was red at this point.
“Yeah, sure. I will lead the way...” - as they went they talked about some stuff. He told her about his life before becoming Carnival. He barely knew her but he was talking about his life for Celestia sake, what was wrong with him? And why did this Pony wanted to listen to him? These weren’t his questions, he was more focused to come to get to his apartment in middle of Canterlot.

“Wait a minute... You live in here too?” - he asked suprised.
“Yes, but i work at night so that’s why you couldn’t see me.” - she answered.
“What door exactly?” - Carnival asked.
“8B.”
“Wow, you realy work at late late night i live at the end of the corridor!” - Carnival spoked happy.
“That’s great actually. Now if we know eachother we can meet sometimes!” - Pixie spoked as happy as Carnival.
“You know what you can come to my performance! I mean I will have to wait until they will consider me in the show but I have a big chance to again become comedian!”
“That’s great! Tell me when and I will go!” - as he told her goodbye he went to his house to get some sleep.

“Heya, guys!” - that was Randal big Pony and one of the party clowns. Everyone except Carnival said hey to him cause he was busy fixing his shoes...
“Hey, Carnival i heard what happend. I have something for you.” - he said that as he reached a small package.
“What is it?” - Carnival asked.
“Just open it.” - Randal said with grin. It was a revolver made just for pegasus to use and some bullets for it. Carnival laught quietly.
“You know that I can’t carry gun do you?” - Carnival responded to this gift.
“It’s ok, Besides you can pay me off some other time.” - Randal said again with little grin.
“Hey, Carnival Hoyt wants to see you in his office.” - it was Garry, midget.
“I always’ve been wondering Garry, Is mini golf a regular golf for you?” - Randal joked.
“Hahahahahaha...” - Carnival was laughing while walking too Hoyt’s Office.

“Garry told me you’ve wanted to see my right?” - Carnival asked after entering the office.
“Yes. And don’t seat it will be quick... I realy like you arthur, I realy do, but you’re starting to piss me off. Everything Must Go guy said that you’ve disappeared and you didn’t returned sign.” - after hearing this Carnival’s smile slowly faded.
“Didn’t you hear? I was jumped.” - Carnival quickly responded.
“For a sign? Common just return it or I will take it from your paycheck. Oh and I have to tell you something, boys aren’t feeling good while you around...” - as he was speaking Carnival wasn’t saying anything at all he was smiling.

After leaving Hoyt’s Party Center Carnival went to a dark alley to to unload on trash cans. He was truly angry.

Canterlot:

Carnival was watching TV, while also checking his gun. It was a 8 shots Revolver. He took his gun in his wing (that’s how revolvers designed for pegasus worked) and stood up.
“Hey Carnival, you’re realy good dancer.” - he started talking to himself. “Thanks, but you know who isn’t? Him!” - as he aimed at the imagined pony he pulled the trigger. He forgot that gun was loaded. Scared that someone could hear he quickly turned up the volume of TV. After few minutes knocking to his door sounded...

“I’m going!” - he screamed to make sure that everything is ok to him.
“Hey, Carnival I’ve heard a loud noice. I’ve had to check if everything is ok.” - it was Pixie Cut.
“Yeah it’s ok I’m just watching an old war movie. Hey and by the way, I want to invite you to my performence!” - Carnival changed subject.
“Realy? That’s great! Just tell me when and I will come!” - as she left Carnival closed doors happy...

Canterlot:

Carnival was hired to make little children at hospital happy and so he painted his face as usual and started to sing

“Please Hoyt I love this job” - Carnival spoked to his boss through phone.
“Carnival... I need to know why did you bringed gun to a children hospital.” - Hoyt tried to remain calm.
“It was a prop. It’s part of my act!” - Carnival tried to explain himself.
“That’s bullshit, that’s bullshit! What kind of clown wears a gun. Besides Randal told me that you’ve wanted to buy from him 38.”
“What? He said that?” - Carnival was suprised.
“You’re fucked up Carnival and a liar. You’re fired!” - Carnival didn’t have a time to answer, Hoyt hung up. Carnival in furry hited glass wall of phone booth with head. After a short period of time he went to near train station to go to home.

Carnival wasn’t ready for this. He’ve just started a new life, why always wrong things happend to him? It’s a weird world he lived in... His thoughts were interupted by three guy that entered empty train... well almost empty it was a girl sitting a the other end of carriage... and as train stoped three ponies entered.

“I’ve told you dude, she wanted my number if we would stay...” - one of them said.
“She wasn’t intested...” - another pony spoked. And they’ve continued to talk about their drunk story in bar.
“Hey you’ve want some french fry?” - third ponies asked girl that was sitting next to them.
“No, thanks.” - she responded.
“You’re sure? They’re preety good.” - this time she didn’t say antything.
“Don’t ignore him! He is beeing nice to you!” - one of his friends spoked. She was scared only thing that she could do was to stare at Carnival and try to make him do something but his condition had some other plans. He started to laugh...
“Hahahaha...” - Carnival tried to calm himself down and don’t drive attention to him but his laughter was getting louder and louder. Girl used this opportunity and left.
“Bitch!” - guy that was harassing her shouted and thrown pack of fries at her. He finaly noticed laughing Carnival.

One of them started to sing as he and his friends get close to laughing pony. Carnival was terrified but couldn’t stop laughing.

“Something funny? Tell us what’s so fucking funny?” - singing pony spoked.
“Nothing it justHahaha I have a, I have I condintion...” - he reached to his pocket. “Here it’s all in hereHaHaHaHa...” - he give him card with something written on it.

First shot went for head of pony that was singing. Second and third went for guy that was silent but he was also kicking Carnival. Fourth was aimed in a hoof of guy that was harassing that girl. Train stoped and guy tried to escape from Carnival so he ran out from train that soon drove away but Carnival was also outside... He pulled the trigger and hitted that guy. As he come closer he’ve shoted again, again and again. Carnival soon realized that he needed to run cause ponies might find out what he did...

Some time ago...

"Zephyr, does it help to have somepony to talk to?" - psychiatrist asked.
"Why do I feel so bad?" - Carnival didn't want to answer to question that she asked.
"It's because of medicine." - answer was quick and emotionless.
"No, it's because ponies are bad, and they're treating me like a garbage." - Carnival wasn't angry, he was calm.
"Zephyr, these ponies you're talking about, maybe exist but I can assure you that, there is nopony that could harm in every other way. You just have to ignor them..." - she finished, as Carnival smiled.
"Yeah... just ignore them..."

Canterlot:

Present time...

Carnival was running away from the train station. He was scared because he did something bad. If his sister, her friend Rainbow Dash, Pixie Cut or any of his friends would know... When he was running ahead, he noticed public restroom. He choose to get in there. He closed the door... He was terrified,
he was breathing really fast but then he realised...

There was nopony and no evidence on him that could brought him to justice, he was free and he wasn't going anywere... Maybe it was sudden calm that hited him, or maybe cleared mind but he started to dance.
He accomplished something, he finished something. He have made somepony laugh beacuse of his illness. He didn't cared about the part when he killed those ponies. He was happy...

Canterlot:

Hoyt’s Party Center - Locker Room
Next day...

It was a sunny day in Canterlot. Carnival was taking his stuff from a locker and his co-workers were talking about subway murders...

"I've read that guy was wearing a full makeup."
"No it's says right here it was a mask."
"Either way, I think it' good for business."
"Hey, Carnival I've heard what happend, sorry mate." - Garry interrupted them.
"Yeah, it doesn't seem fair being fired like that..." - Randal insolently interjected.
"Did you've realy brought a gun to children hospital Carni? Why the fuck would you do that for?" - one of clowns asked.
"Is that new part of your act Carnival? If the dancing doesn't do the trick you're gonna shoot yourself?" - as another clown spoked, everypony laught except Garry.
"Why don't you ask Randall about it? It was his gun." - Carnival said that as he took everything from his locker.
"What?" - Randall screamed.
"I still owe you for that don't I?" - Carnival said it with grin and didn't wait for answer and left but he quickly returned to the locker room and punched clock until it fell on floor.
"Sorry guys I almost forgot to punch out! And by the way my name is no longer Carnival I'm Zephyr Breeze" Then he laugh and finaly left for good. Everyone looked at Randall. Zephyr happy walked down the stairs and noticed a small sign on a wall. He took the marker from his pocket and changed it from:

"...I'm very shocked and sad, that those ponies were killed. Although I didn't know personal any of them, I feel like they were my friends, my family. Everypony in Wayne Enterprises are family. And a thing with his appearance, he was wearing a makeup of a clown, because somepony could do that thing only wearing a mask like a coward. Ponies like him are too scared to show their own face. Zephyr didn't wanted to end with his comedy path. He only gave up on his "Clown name". As he entered CCC (shortcut for Canterlot Comedy Center), he was getting ready, he thought that he would make them all laugh at first joke. He was wrong... Everypony was booing him, so he left. Sad and angry he went to his friend Pixie house...

"Celestia! What are you doing in here?" - she screamed scared as she saw somepony in her home, she was living alone.
"You're Zephyr right? You live at the end of hallway?" - he noded.
"I realy need you to leave..." - she said it a little terrified but Zephyr didn't moved a bit.
"I had a bad day..." - he slowly turned his head to her. He reached into his memories with her. Everytime she ever was by him, everything she said to him. It was all in his head, his broken head. He stood up and walked to his appartment. When he reached his destination... he started to laugh, but it wasn't his condition... It was his own laugh...

“I’m telling you, something’s wrong with Zeph!” - Rainbow glared at her friend.
“He’s fine, and that’s me saying this, his shy sister. Anyway, why do you think something’s wrong?” - Fluttershy asked.
“I supposed to get a letter a week, and you know him, he wouldn’t pass any ocasion to flirt somehow with me... Not that I’m bad with it... I mean...” - she didn’t finished, cause her face turned red a little bit too much and she couldn’t speek.
“Maybe something’s wrong with mail?” - Fluttershy tried to calm down her friend.
“No they say that letter should be right here right now if he send something...” - they both stared at the floor for a while.
“So let’s go to Canterlot, we can take rest of our friends!” - Rainbow stood up.
“Ok, Rainbow if it will make you happy... but be aware that i will tell Zeph that you also love him.” - last part obviously wasn’t for Rainbow Dash ears.

Canterlot:

Train Station

“That was a very long and boring trip, hope it will help your boyfriend sugarcube...” - Applejack started after getting out of the train.
“That was last time I ever said true in front of you...” - Rainbow Dash said angry.
“Don’t be so rude darling we came here to support you, Fluttershy and Zephyr, even if we don’t know what exacly happend.” - Rarity responded to Rainbow Dash words.
“Sorry, should we get going? I know the way and if don’t want to get into traffic we have to hurry.” - as she said everypony nodded.

It was a rush hour, everypony wanted to get somewhere or to somepony. Ponies that knew Twilight (and that’s propably everypony in Equestria) wanted to get a autograph or a picture so it took a while when they’ve gotten to right place at the end of Canterolt, where Zephyr had to live. A good apartment but a bad neighborhood. Ponies used to call it with many names but one the most, Dark Zone...

“Zeph, I mean Carnival, it’s me Fluttershy and friends! Can you let us in?” - Fluttershy nocked the doors a few times.
“Doors are open you just have to push it a little bit harder I didn’t fixed them yet.” - voice from the inside sounded. Fluttershy tried but doors remiand closed, so Rainbow only touched them and they opened wide.

But what mane six saw was very disturbing. Especialy for Fluttershy, Rainbow and Pinkie cause they saw this apartment before and it wasn’t that bad. Nopony could live in here, it was too much dirt and... wait is that... fungus?

“Carnival, what happend? I thought you were going good!” - Pinkie said.
“I’ve lost my job. I can’t make anypony smile again. I’ve lost my simle, even my illness didn’t showed up... Just leave me alone...” - he said sad.
“Carnival I... " - Rainbow Dash started but...
“LEAVE! And don’t call me Carnival, my name is Zephyr Breeze!” - Zephyr screamed angry.
“Zephyr Breeze! Why are you so angry and rude?” - Fluttershy said with her assertive voice.
“I’m adopted...”
“What?” - Fluttershy looked at him as he said something so... so... true?
“You’ve heard. I found out about that few days after loosing job. I always knew that you’re hiding something from me. I went to doctor so he could check on me, cause of my lost illness...

”Doctor, What’s wrong?” - Zephyr asked.
“It’s just I need to see adoption files.” - Doctor looked at him.
“Adoption files? I didn’t adopted any child...”
“I’ve meant your adoption files, In medical files it says you were adopted by Mr and Mrs Shy is that right?” - Doc asked.
“I... I didn’t know that I was adopted...” - Zephyr wanted to hear it was a joke.
“Oh... I’m sorry I thought they’ve already told you that... Well if you want to be medically examined, you will have to talk with your parents. I’m sorry again.”

“You’ve been hiding from me something like that...” - Zeph said while looking at the ceiling.
“I’ve always wanted to tell you that Zeph, but it was hard for me.” - Fluttershy said with tears in her eyes. Zephyr still didn’t looked at anypony in the room.
“And cause you didn’t had courage to tell me that... It’s hard for me now... So leave, you’re not my family.” - he said that with no emotions.
“Zeph, I’m sorry too, and if it will make you any better... I... I...” - Rainbow couldn’t say anything, she wanted to tell him also the truth but this time a good one.
“You what Rainbow Dash?” - Zephyr still wasn’t paying atention to anypony.
“I love you...” - Rainbow finaly said it.
“HaHaHaHaHaHahAhaHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAhaaaHahhaaahaha... You Love Me?! So?” - Zephyr screamed at Rainbow.
“So? What’s wrong with you? I thought you love me...” - Rainbow was second pony that had tears in her eyes.
“Love you? Ha, I’ll be damned... That’s realy funny... HAHAHAHAhahaahaa I didn’t loved you Rainbow. You wanna know why I always’ve been flirting with you? Why I was so kind to you? Cause you’ve never were truly loved! Yes! I wanted to make you ignore the fact that even your parents treated you like a thing, like a trophy... I managed to do so, you didn’t noticed that sweet touch of Cadence never’ve meet you.” - all of the ponies were now again left in shock.
“Why’re you saying things like this?!” - Fluttershy cried.
“Cause that’s the real me. That’s how I feel truly alive. Making fun of wrong and bad things are making me truly smile. Oh, and by the way, I also noticed that Pinkie is into me... well screw you Pinkie! Only thing I want now is to be alone. I think you know what to do.”

Yes, they did. Everypony left, terfied of who Zephyr had become. What could happend to somepony like him, to change him like that? Why somepony so calm and happy about his job could hurt their own friends in that way? They would probably never know... But Zephyr didn’t even care about what had just happened. Only thing he wanted to think about was Murray Franklin Show that was about to start...

Zephyr Breeze’s watching TV at his house. Murray Franklin will start soon... Orchestra started playing his main theme...

it’s Live With Murray Franklin! Tonight’s s Guests are:
Sandra Winger, Skip Byron, Yeldon and Chantel.
Joining Murray as always, his orchestra and me, Gene.
And now please welcome...
MURRAY FRANKLIN!

“Welcome, everypony! It’s good to see you all.” - everypony started to cheer, even Zepyr in his room.
“You’ve heard about super-rats harassing our city right? Our current mayor came up with idea! You’re ready for this? ... Super-Cats!” - again everypony started to cheer but this time with laughing in audience.
“So today I don’t want to make fun of our mayor... I want to show you something, well somepony, that’s thinking that if you say some bad jokes and laugh while doing so, it will somehow make you funny. Gene play the tape, check out this Joker...” - as Murray walked of a stage Gene played something...

Zephyr thought he was going to see some idiot making fool of himself... but instead he saw well, himself... It was from that night when he realised that Dark Comedy (a real Dark Comedy) is his destiny. In this video, he was pathetic. Only thing he did was laughing (cause his sickness), and also doing jokes that wasn’t his trail anymore. It made Zephyr angry, very angry but then a knocking came from his door...

“Hello? Is it Mr. Zephyr Breeze? It’s Police we want your help in a case can we come in?” - as he stood up he went to the door.
“Hello, yes of course you can come in, sorry for the mess.” - Zephyr watched as the two entered his house and then he locked his doors.
“So. We’re detectives, that are working in case of that subway murrders. We found out that you have a gun. Is that true?” - one of them asked politely.
“Yes. It’s true I have a gun.” - Zephyr answered calmly.
“Is it legal one? I mean is it registered?” - this time his question was a little bit restless.
“No, It’s illegal. Oh and by the way nopony besides me is getting out of here alive.” - they’ve looked at him as he was joking but he quickly took his gun out of pocket in leather coat that was hanging in hall, and shot them. Then he started to laugh. Good thing, his house was muted.
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHhAhaHahahaha... Well... I fucked up... and somehow i feel great!” - Zephyr laugh again.
“How should I celebrate this?” - he didn’t had to wait too long cause his phone ringed.
“Hello, who is this?” - he asked as he picked up phone.
“Hello, it’s Mrs. Sulivan. I’m happy to announce that you’ve been invited at Murray Franklin Show.” - that was quick, he thought to himself.
“I’m not gonna even ask why, I’m in. Can I go there in my suit?” - he quickly responded.
“You could go even naked, but not this time. It will be this friday, is that good with you?” - she asked.
“Yeah, of course see you then, I hope!” - Zephyr happy said.
“Well, Good Luck!” - as she hanged up, he started to move the bodies of murdered detectives to closest window... He didn’t had to care about bodies of ponies being drop out off window. Nopony cared...

Canterlot

Zephyr Breeze house... Friday.

Zephyr was making something on a table, when he finished, he packed it as a present and left it so he could prepare himself. He’ve painted his face in his clown way but this time without black line on mouth. He dressed up himself with red coat, and yellow vest. He left his present at the table and he left happy... In front of his house, there were stairs, so he qucikly started to dance on them... His life... His new life had begun, each step “danced off” made him even more happy, each step got him closer to end of Zephyr and Begining of something new... But first he needed to get to the train so he could be at Murray Franklin Show at the time.

Meanwhile

Police officers that were looking for their missing friends went to Zephyr house to look for the clues...
“Hey, guys look! What is this shit?” - one of them asked as he saw present on table.
“Open it!” - another one said.
“Well, ok hope it’s not a bom...” - he didn’t finished.

Canterlot

Murray Franklin Studio backstage

It’s confirmed, there were no survivors out of hundreds residents. Only proof of who could do that was, Joker cards spread all over the place. Police thinks it was one of Clowns, that wanted to make his point in a cruel way... - Zephyr laught but then Murray Franklin entred the backstage room.

“Murray! It’s great to meet you in person!” - Zephyr stood up.
“It’s Mr. Franklin.” - Gene added.
“Gene, please. Sorry for that... and what’s with the face? Are you part of the protest?” - Murray asked.
“No, it’s part of my act.” - Zephyr quickly added.
“Part of your act? Didn’t you’ve heard? Somepony just blow uped a building, hundreds of ponies are dead!” - Gene always had to be a tough guy.
“Yes, I’ve heard. But I won’t let anypony to take something that I worked my whole life for. It’s real me and I won’t change it.” - Zephyr replied.
“I understand you Zephyr. We’re gonna go with it. But first you will have to know some rules. First no swearing. Second no racist jokes. Is that clear?” - Murray looked at him.
“Yes, of course, but is Dark Comedy good?” - as he asked they looked confused.
“Well, but don’t make any jokes about that bomb ok? We don’t want ponies being angry at you in your show. If you understand everything now, we’re going to leave you for a moment. Somepony will come and get you.” - Murray turned around.
“Oh, Murray one small thing.” - Zephyr quickly stoped him.
“Yeah?” - Murray asked.
“When you bring me out... Can you introduce me as a Joker?” - Zephyr asked.
“Well, if that name suits you we will go with it. But why Joker?” - Murray again asked.
“That’s how you’ve called me on the show, a Joker.” - Zephyr explained.
“Ok then, I don’t remember saying that but if you realy want it, that’s good!” - Murray finaly left the room with Gene.

Zephyr Breeze looked at his reflection in the mirror,
and then he thought about what life will bring him now...
Nothing, because Zephyr Breeze was dead.
In that very moment Joker was born...

Joker is behind curtains, he is getting ready for show of his life. Murray’s talking about his failed performance. If he only would know, what powers is he dealing right now...

“Ok, ok... I think we’ve had enough of waiting. Everypony wants to see our guest. So, please welcome... JOKER!” - orchestra started to play instrumental version of song Smile by Jimmy Durante. Joker came out from behind of the curtains with dance movement. Everypony could see that he was having fun, audience was a little bit confused cause of what happend before, but they soon started to cheer. Joker greeted with Murray, and then walked to old lady that was also on the show, as he got close enough, he kissed her. When he finished he finaly sat down.

“You’re alright doc?” - he only saw her surprised face and Joker was sitting silent and was looking into audience.
“Are you ok?” - Murray asked, and audience laught.
“Yes. This is exactly how i imagined it.” - Joker answered without making an eye contact with Murray.
“Well, that make one of us.” - again audience laugh, this time also with Joker.
“When we’ve been in backstage I didn’t asked about it but I have to know. What’s with the makeup? Are you part of the protest?” - Murray asked.
“No Murray I’m not political. I’m just trying to make ponies smile.” - Joker grined.
“And how’s that going for ya?” - everypony laught again. And also Joker but this time a little bit louder.
“So, I know you’re comedian. Have you’ve been working on new material? You wanna tell us a joke?” - audience started to cheer so Joker could say one. He took journal out of his suit.
“Look he has a book! A book of jokes.” - Murray mocked Joker. When Joker looked into it he noticed a two lines of text, a joke that he wrote:

It hitted him, Zephyr Breeze was dead, so if his death had to mean something somepony should take his place...

“It’s ok, take your time.” - audience laught as Murray rushed Joker.
“Ok, that’s a good one... Knock, knock...”
“And you’ve had to look that up?” - audience laught without Joker.
“I want to make it right... Knock, knock...”
“Who’s there?” - Murray finaly asked.
“It’s police ma’am, your son’ve been hit by a drunk driver, his dead.” - Joker lauhght.
“Nonononono, you can’t Joke about that!” - Doc said.
“Yeah it’s not funny Joker.” - Murray finished.
“Sorry, it’s just... It’ve been a rough time for me, but it’s getting better. Ever since i’ve killed those three wall street guys and blow up building I was living in my life finaly felt complete...” - Joker wasn’t joking but Murray hoped it was some another bad Joke.
“Ok, I’m waiting for the punchline.” - Murray said.
“There’s no punchilne. That’s not a Joke.” - audience started to whisper something.
“Wait, you’re serious? You’re the pony that’ve killed over few hundred ponies?” - Murray started to understand his mistake.
“Yes. And you know what’s more funny? I’ve killed more ponies than you think.” - Joker was serious again.
“What do you mean? Gene call the police. Gene?” - Murray looked behind Joker terrified. Gene was lying down on the floor.
“Do you know what’s funny Murray? Gas...” - Murray looked at him.
“That’s some sort of sick joke? Well, I don’t get it freak!” - Murray tried to hide his terrified face.
“Yes, you don’t get it. Gene and audience got it. I’ve released a gas in this room so Gene and audience would die, but not us... I want to kill you in other way... But first one Last Joke! What do you get when you cross a mentaly ill loner with a society that abendends him and treats him like trash? You get what you fucking deserve... Oh what’s a nice mug you have there.” - Joker quickly took it and smashed it on desk, so he could use sharp parts to stab Murray few times. When he died Joker turned around and walked to camera.
“Good night! And always remember... That’s life.”

After tragedy at Dark Zone Celestia renamed Canterlot to Gotham, a name of Pony that was living in there and was trying to make this city free of weapon and explosives... Breaking news, a lunatic called Joker killed ponies at Murray Franklin Show. There’s no proof but on the show, Joker said that he was guilty of killing subway ponies and also for blowing up a building in Dark Zone. Police made sure that gas won’t affect nopony anymore... And now we can confirm that there were no surviors. Clowns used that moment to came out of their holes and started to destroy city in the name of Joker, their new King. New king of this city, how will other gangs will react? I don’t know, one thing is certain, Cant...Sorry, Gotham is burining...

Joker escaped and went to see what he’ve created. It was beautiful, dark, madness, laughter and chaos. Perfect balans between bad and worse. He was truly happy, he didn’t even noticed when his illnes was gone, his laugh was finaly his own laugh. When he was near center of the city he was stoped by group of police. He thought it was going to end right here but sudennly one of his followers, shoted a rocket into them, he lost his consciousness...

Meanwhile
Canterlot Gotham Theatre

“Quick into that alley!” - Thomas Wayne called his wife and son. When they entred alley one of the clowns followed them.
“Hey, Wayne! You get what you fucking deserve.” - he didn’t waited until Thomas say something he shoted him and then Martha. He left at least young Bruce Wayne...

Again Center of Gotham

Joker is waking up... Followers encircled him, and was giving him signs to get up. When he did he felt a blood in his mouth... But he used it as a paint, he took wings into his mouth and painted a bloody smile on his face. His followers now were cheereing him even louder. After sometime Police came and took him, cause he didn’t tried to fight... Soon he was taken to newly opened psychiatric hospital for the Criminally Insane called “Arkham Asylum” to check what could happen to him...

"Oh... You're Joker? That explains almost everything." - Dr Carry Feather said it after hearing story about Zephyr Breeze becoming Joker.
"Almost?" - Joker asked.
"Yes. I think, I know why I'm here. I want to now why did do that horrible things." - she answered.
"I will make it easy and help you, I stoped taking my medications since they've closed offices." - Joker looked at her.
"Oh, that makes a lot of sence... So what now? Do you want to meet with your friends? I've heard that they're comming today!" - she said it with a smile.
"No, cause I won't be here when they come..." - Joker grinned.
"What do you mean? You're cuffed to the table..." - Joker didn't answered, he started to laugh and then to sing...

That's life, and as funny as it may seem

Few Hours later...

"You can get in there but be aware that this look is... terible." - Police officer said it to Mane Six that went to crime scene.
"We will be fine, thanks for your help." - Twilight spoked as she and her friends entred the room. It was trult terrible, Dr Carry Feather was lying in blood puddle. A pencil was stuck in her head, propably a murder weapon. On the wall there was a sign: Put On A Happy Face

"Celestia! That was realy Zephyr? My own brother couldn't do such a thing!" - Fluttershy looked away as she saw something written on the wall.
"That's not Zephyr..." - Rainbow Dash spoked.
"What do you mean?" - Pinkie Pie asked.
"It was Joker, Zephyr is dead. We need to find him and make him return our Zephyr!" - Rainbow was clearly crying right in that moment as she was speeking.
"Well, this is going to be hard considering, what he've become." - Applejack said.
"I can help you." - somepony in the dark said it.
"What do you mean? And who you are?" - Rarity asked.
"I'm a millionare. I can help you by giving you money for hunting this monster, and after that finding a cure for him." - he revealed.
"But who are you?" - everypony asked.
"My name is Bruce Wayne."
"Wait, you're son of Thomas and Martha Wayne! Your parents were killed during this whole clown protests!" - Rainbow Dash noticed.
"Yes, and don't worry I won't make it personal, I just want to help." - Bruce said.
"Well, thanks. I hope that we will find him..." - Fluttershy looked again at corpse at the table. "Fast."

Later...

"Master Bruce, I know that you want to help that poor soul, but is that truly necessary?" - Alfred, trusted buttler of Wayne family asked.
"Police won't find him, I need to help them. But without training, I can't do it. I have to go..." - Bruce looked at his friend.
"Don't worry, it's only one year. But, in while I'm gone, be sure that Mr Fox will finished that suit and vehicle in time." - Bruce added.
"Well, ok. I'm still don't get it... Why Bats?" - Alfred asked.
"It was my greatest fear ever since I was a kid. It's time for criminals to share my fear..." - Bruce answered Alfred's question and then left for his journey...

Gotham City:

Ace Chemicals
Meanwhile...

Joker and his thugs entred Ace Chemicals. They've killed everypony in there and then stand in front of a large vat with chemicals.

"Ok, Boss What are we doing here? There's nothing in here we can use..." - one of the thugs asked. Joker only looked at him, smiled and stabed him.
"You see, these chemical are going to help me become something more than just a clown with makeup..." - after a while thug died, and then Joker turned to others.
"Anypony have something to say? No? Good. Thant wait for me here, if I won't get out of there in 5 minutes, wait for me a little bit longer." - Joker without any second thoughts jumped into chemicals.
"You think he's alright?" - one of his thugs asked others.
"Well I hope so. I don't want to get back to penguin and hope for the best." - another one said.
"Look! He's flying back. He's ok guys!" - another thug yelled happy.
"So, how do I look now?" - Joker asked.
"Well, your skin is white, but well your mane is green." - one of them said.
"That's almost like before but at least you don't have to wear makeup anymore... Well besides one thing..." - another spoked.
"What?" - Joker asked.
"Well, your smile. You will have to paint it with something red to make it, or..." - thug hesitated to say it.
"Or what?" - Joker asked curious.
"You can use a knife and cut off smile on your face... Don't get me wrong, that's just a thought." - thug answered.
"Well, that's a good idead. But I think, I will stick to red lipstick or paint. But keep going with those ideas I like them." - Joker smiled.
"Thanks Boss!" - thug said happy.
"What are we waiting for? Move out, unless you want to get cought." - Joker said.
"GCPD! Stop." - a police officer screamed. They've shot a few times in direction of thugs, but they've manage to escape.
"Damn it!" - one of them yelled.
"Don't worry Jim. We will get them next time." - it was Bullock detective and partner of Jim Gordon, a Captain of GCPD.
"I hope so. I've made a promise to Bruce Wayne and I'm planing to keep it." - Gordon said.
"Never giving up huh?" - Bullock looked at his partner.
"You have no idea." - Gordon said.

Gordon was a good Detective and a great Captain, with Bullock they've made a good team. Soon they're going to get some help from a friend. Gotham and with it also whole Equestria will soon change forever, what will happen next? That's a story for another time.

Newly opened psychiatric hospital for the Criminally Insane called
“Arkham Asylum”

Dr Carry Feather arrived at her first job as psychiatrist.
She entered through big gate with huge curved sign Arkham Asylum
After some formalities she finaly started her shift.
Her first patient was a pony called Bane (that’s how he wanted to be called, most of them want to be called by their “criminal names”). It didn’t took long time to piss him off. So after her co-workers took handle of him, she went to her second patient...

“Hello mister Breeze” - she greeted him nonchalantly.
“Please, don’t call me Breeze or Zephyr Breeze, that’s not my name” - he said with a little grin.
“So, how should I call you?”
“You’re new here right?”
“Yes, what’s your point?”
“Well I’m very popular in here.” - he said with a smirk.
“So what’s your name?”
“That’s a long and funny joke actually...” - after saying that, he slowly started to laugh.
She waited until he calmed down and asked:
“Wanna tell it to me?”
He waited few seconds and said with no emotions:
“You wouldn’t get it...”
“I can at least try, please that’s my job and i want to help you.”
“Well if that’s your job, I guess I can tell you this story but if you won’t understand, that’s not my problem.”
“Ok then, I’m ready.”
