Starlight Serenade
Inconvenient gems
Load Full StoryNext ChapterGood morning, evening, or afternoon, depending on where you are in the world. February is here at last, and although it may be cold outside, there's certainly a lot going on in the world of My Little Pony.
"Indeed!"
Oh, Hello Vapor. Nice to see you. How are you today?
"Fine, thanks. The month of January got off to an interesting start for Jimmy, or should I say for me. Ending up in Equestria, I helped Sky Stinger, who was really Tom Haddington, defeat a dimension traveling villain. We stopped them, and then got married."
Ah. That would explain the pronounced bump you have. Looking forward to being a mother?
"Yes indeed!"
"Is that really all that dramatic? The GRRRRREAT AND POWERRRRRFUL Trrrrixie has plenty to say!"
"Which Grrrrrreat and powerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr-

rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrful Trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrixie? We both had very similar stories, just one of us was a human and one was not."
I gently rise and softly call, good night and join me to you all.
"Why are you quoting an old folk song?"
Hello Luna. Which Luna are you?
"I thought the attire gave it away. The Princess wears a dress, remember? She couldn't make it today."
Oh well. Anyways, what the Trixie's said was true. Their adventures were very similar, resulting in magic and fireworks. Luna's involved some washing that went a bit weird, whilst she did hint at another Luna (who, I am sorry to admit, could not make it today), but I think you will find her adventure most interesting.
So, that was January. Now it was time for February, a month of happy thoughts and gentle romance (and the inevitable Shining Armour and Cadence fanfictions), and it was time for Jimmy to do some stuff in town. He decided to do some exploring. Despite having lived in Manteo, North Carolina (yes, I was referencing a creepypasta there) for the best part of eight years ever since late August 2012, there was still some secrets which he was yet to uncover. So, his plan was to set off into town and do some visiting of the various landmarks across town. So he started by heading down main street and past the Lost Colony Theatre (which was, at last, getting the maintenance it needed), waving to some of the older folks he knew who were assisting with repairing it. If things went wrong, there was plenty of glue.
After a short stroll through the Elizabethan Gardens, which were pretty (although horticulture was not an interest to Jimmy), he turned into the park. No, he did not transform into the park, as that would be silly.
"STOP THAT! SILLY!"
Rest in Peace, Graham Chapman. Jimmy, rather than becoming the park, walked into it, and took a few moments to channel memories of days gone by and briefly sat on a swing, briefly thinking of friends present and past, of those who were still of this Earth or those who were in spirit. He hoped Tom and Katrina were okay.
After a few minutes of sitting and reflecting, he went and walked over to a tree. This tree sat in the center, and legend had it that the original colonists in 1585 had planted it. There was no way of proving this, of course, but it made a nice story. Jimmy, of course, then noticed the tree was a bit odd. The tree still had all its leaves, and this was the height of winter, after all, and as such there should have not been any leaves. He stepped around it, suddenly aware that more people were stepping into the park to observe his odd behavior. Glancing at one branch, he noticed a string necklace with a pink star attached to it. This setup felt awfully familiar, and so Jimmy hurriedly walked away.
That was his plan at least. Faith, a mysterious spirit who had plans most odd, flew in to hold him in place. He was rendered unable to move. Just then, a gust of wind fell out of the air, and blew the necklace off its precarious porch from whence it came, and down, down, and down it fell, landing upon the Hookmeister and sliding down into the correct position upon him.
"Well, here we go again," he sighed, the ability to move currently confined to his neck and face muscles (and his automatic functions like breathing and heartbeats). His shoes morphed into a pair of ugly platform boots, with more of those pink stars attached to the bottom of them near his toes (his toes, of course, were inconveniently exposed, as his socks were now gone forever). His pant legs merged together (and his coat was permanently removed to reveal all of this) into a skirt, that turned red and lost the pockets, zip, and buttons, but astonishingly didn't change length in any way, looking more like a formal skirt than usual wear.
Some of the crowd, this being the social media generation, had produced their phones to record what was going on. Meanwhile, Jimmy's shirt changed into an open V neck, with short sleeves and slightly puffed up shoulders. A brown waistcoat with golden buttons appeared on top of that as well.
His already voluminous hair turned purple compared to its previous brown, and grew longer with great haste, stretching down to his shoulders, and then splitting into a pair of pigtails that were held in place by a pair of pink bands. This had the rather unusual effect of his beard fading away during this process. His skin turned a lime shade, with deep purple eyes to accentuate the color quite nicely, which contrasted his old blue eyes, in addition to gaining eyelashes on both sides, followed by his chest becoming a pair of breasts. His face was reshaped to gain the appearence of a teenager rather than a man, the bones creaking and cracking as they do so, along with his red glasses seemly vanishing into thin air. His shoulders snapped and cracked inwards, and pressure built up around his waist until his hips exploded outwards with an audible pop. His manhood followed it into oblivion, and his entire body slimmed down to a feminine figure, until all trace of the man who had once been (the weekly crossdresser) was gone. For now, in the place of Jimmy, was Starlight (and not Stairlight).
She glanced about. "Where am I?" she asked. She had no opportunity to answer, as a dark green Changeling appeared next to her. "Who are you?"
"Damn it! That Thorax messed up a teleportation spell again and sent me to the wrong place!" The Changeling looked at her. "Again? I'm getting too old for this shit."
