Gem dragons are another type of true dragons in DnD which I turn into a breed here to make them fit into MLP.

MLP G4 has hinted that they have Eastern style dragons but haven't said names yet. So I pick Ryu, the dragons of Japan because they have three toes and Spike has three toes as well as most dragons.
