Finally going back to Canterlot. The place where I lived my teenage years and have alot of my first. First car, first kiss even my first girlfriend. Even if that didn't exactly last it still is a memory I cherish even today.

I've decided to go back cause I'll be meeting up with a few friends. One being particularly someone I don't feel to keen on seeing again. I have a pit in my stomach that feels like you could put the whole world in it and it still wouldn't change the way I feel. I don't like her, and after all she did meeting her after these last few years won't be a task to take lightly.

She's someone who gave me constant shit because....well even now I'm not exactly sure. I was thinking about going to the fall formal but I just decided home schooling was the better route for me.Im not exactly sure how everyone is now but I'm estatic to find out.

Making the long drive down the nearly never ending road seemed to have it's perks. I glanced out the window a few times and along with the looks I was able to make out many different green fields full of life and emerald twinkling blades of grass as the orange light painted across the sky in a dimming blaze of oranges, pinks and purples. I knew it was getting late and I was getting rather worked up in this car.

It wasn't far I knew that much since the background noise of the car rolling on the roads rough surface changed to a lower roaring sound with the change of material. It was now a darker black making it easily more noticeable that the green sign made it's appearance. "Welcome to Canterlot" this city always had the best way of showing it's warm welcome to outsiders.

My caramel eyes and soft brown skin made this all the more welcome cause my eyes felt sort of weighed down like my eyelids had twenty-five pound weights on them. I had a slender body as well wasn't as defined as I'd want it to be but with the right fit caught looks and stares anyway. With that I knew the gravel pathway and the crackle of crushing rocks as my tires pulled up into the familiar depression. I pulled through slowly the giant Oak tree's that had always been there seemed way more real than ever before.

It was easily visible how the branches reached toward the skies and the ground all around in an effort to touch everything around. The whistling wind whipped around suddenly making it again visible that something weird was going on in Canterlot. Isn't it just oh so weird something so simple as a breeze can bring back a flood of memories you had forgotten about completely. As my headlights ripped through the darkness exposing the small house my parents left me in case I ever decided to come back of course I paid the utilities and had it kept maintained best I could without coming to the location. Seeing it again was like looking at something itching in the back of my mind it had barely surfaced and didn't even feel real.

Of course when I stepped out after parking the smell hit me. It was one every person knows. The smell of your childhood in one single fragrance and that smell to me was almost like a fire or burning as the stars spread around the sky and the moon painted the pathway to the old house. The smell just broke my mind's barriers and helped me feel everything once more but only if it was like a whiff.

I stepped down on the gravel some more heading for the old wooden steps seems like they were redone not that long ago too seems like the person I had hired for the job real had been doing what I paid them for. I knew they would it was just nice to see it for myself. I stopped at my old home I stood on that porch my hand inches away from the small brass door knob. It's shine and it's roundness again just sent me into a state of utter nostalgia. In this moment I couldn't help but let a smile creep onto my face.

The amount if times I had ran into this door because the damn thing got stuck was crazy and even if I was so mad back then. It was something that was unique to my childhood and looking back now I missed it. I then took my key from the ring and unlocked the door with the small single rustling and a click the door swung open and the sent of home came flooding into my nose. I had to take a nice long break because this smell couldn't be found anywhere else but home not this exact smell no damn way.

So in the moment my mind and senses were over loaded as I heard a load roar of "surprise!" When my eyes adjusted to the bright lights the first person I can recognise is my old friend arrogant as ever Trixie Lulamoon. She was still as adorable as ever with her cute smirk and it was destiny as she had really crushed it she was living the dream a huge stage magician traveling the world found time to actually surprise me...indeed it really was a surprise.

As I took a few more steps inside I noticed another familiar face it was my old teammate we went to the All Star game freshman year it was Rainbow Dash. I could tell she had alot to tell me from her trademark smile that couldn't help but be contagious. In one fluent motion I had ran up to Rainbow and wrapped her in a bone crushing hug. I couldn't help but be so happy to see them they were some of my best friends. I saw Trixie had a small pout going on most likely feeling left out.
"The Great and Powerful Trixie! Didn't want a hug anyway!"

There she was being adorable as ever when Rainbow responds making things much...much worse. "Oh no you know he likes me way more than you."

When she said it I couldn't help but cock my head toward Trixie to see her reaction. She had a small change in look many people wouldnt catch it but I would and I did. I soon wrap her in a hug as well and she responded with nuzzling her face into my chest."Sooo it's been awhile huh?"

When I said it they both looked at me like I was the dumbest person in the world. With saying that though Trixie reminded me of something I had forgotten."You said you were bringing drinks."

My eyes snapped open and I began to get a sheepish look that hinted at what I hadn't gotten on the couple hour drive. "S-sorry Trixie I'll run to the store and get it." They both grunted in agitation as I had to leave again to go grab drinks.

"I'll make it quick you two just wait up okay!" With that I dashed back down my steps and took off in my car. I was trying to make quick work of this. I soon drove down the very streets I used to walk every day. While I was reminiscing I had dashed through ten minutes and was at the little store where I had to grab those drinks for the small party. As soon as I stopped out my eyes landed on a dirty head if firery hair. This was a store many people from town didn't go to I only went here cause usually there is no line but seeing her here just threw me for a loop.

I was stuck in like a trance like state. One that was totally abnormal for me but when I saw those Cyan orbs filled with hunger, sadness and regret I could tell she recognized me as I had recognised her. We stood there for a few passing moments before I opened my hand. "You want some money or something?"

I could tell she was mildly hurt by what I said but it wasn't intentional I was just trying to help.

Author's Note

Damn this is second attempt at writing on this site, my first was honestly beaten down and degraded. I've never had such hard core judgement before on my writing. I was expecting alittle more advice and less noticable malice but I'll take the good with the bad.:twilightsheepish:
