Disco Suit Feather: Love on the Road
Package Delivery
Load Full StoryNext ChapterStarlight's old village was filled with many ponies who enjoyed the small-town community. One of these ponies was Feather Bangs, the village's local poet and stud. Feather would usually go into town and flirt with the cute mares living in the area. This time was different as he was in his home while packing some stuff into a small suitcase. A while ago, Feather received a letter from his grandmare about how much she missed him and she thought that he could come for a visit. Feather recalled that his grandmare lived in Foalrida, where the place was known for its' beautiful beaches. It was then Feather realized that beautiful beaches were also where hot mares would go to swim, have fun, and possibly find love. The thought of soaked mares on the beach made Feather reply immediately to his grandmare about accepting her invitation. Feather's packing was interrupted when he heard knocks from his front door. He made his way to the door to open it. Outside was a grey, pegasus mare with pale blonde manes. She wore a delivery pony uniform and in her hooves held a medium-sized, brown box. Feather looked at the mare weirdly as her eyes were in opposite directions. Despite the mare's strange eyes, it didn't stop Feather from leaning on the door frame while giving the mare a flirty look.
"Well, hey there." Feather said in a cool manner. "What brings a cute mare like you to my humble abode?" Feather then cocked his eyebrows to show curiosity.
"I'm here to deliver a package for a...Feather Bangs?" the delivery mare said while looking at a clipboard.
"That would be me, lucky you." Feather said as he flipped his manes. Feather was interrupted when the delivery mare suddenly shoved the package to him.
"Alright, have a nice day!" the delivery mare said with a smile as she flew into the air, probably to deliver more packages and mail.
'She must be playing hard to get.' Feather thought to himself as he closed the door and place the box on the floor. He looked at the label to read that the package came from his Uncle Night Fever. Feather carefully opened the box to first find a white envelop that was addressed to him. He opened the letter to read what it said:
Dear Feather Bangs,
It's your Uncle Night Fever! Your aunt and I were busy cleaning out our attic when we found my old disco suit in one of the trunks. I thought it would be best to give my old suit to you since you're a mare magnet like I was back in the day. I know that it looks outdated, but it's one way to get mares' attention. It may even help you find love! I know it worked for me! I hope you take care of the suit.
Sincerely,
Uncle Night Fever
P.S. I also wanted to mention that the pockets are magical and can store anything you want. You can also get the stuff out just by thinking of it and the object will come out. I thought it was ridiculous too when the salespony told me, but I found out it really was true!
Feather looked inside the box to find his uncle's suit jacket nicely folded. He slowly pulled the suit out from the box so he could get a better view. When Feather was younger, he had always thought that his Uncle Night Fever's disco suit was some kind of lucky charm that attracted mares. A part of Feather felt touched that Uncle Night Fever gave his most cherish possession to his nephew. Feather noticed that Uncle Night Fever also put a blue button up shirt, a pair of white pants, and a gold chain necklace inside the box to go with the suit. With that, Feather didn't waste any time as he began putting on the outfit. Feather was all dressed up and went to his bathroom mirror to take a good look at himself. He couldn't help but smirk from how cool he looked while wearing the disco suit. Now Feather definitely looked like his Uncle Night Fever.
"Lookin' good, Feather. Lookin' real good." Feather said to himself. He decided to wear the suit while on his trip to his grandma's house. Feather suddenly thought of an idea.
'I should definitely get my grandmare a fruit basket. That would be a token of inviting me to Foalrida!' Feather was about leave to the produce booths until he noticed his suitcase. He picked up the suitcase and looked at one of the jacket's pockets. Feather remembered about what his uncle said about the magic pockets. He carefully put the suitcase close to the pocket where it began to suck up the suitcase like a vacuum. Next thing Feather knew, his suitcase was gone and he didn't feel any heavier. He couldn't believe that the suit's pockets were magic! Feather then picked up his bag of bits and also put it in the jacket's pocket. He then put on a pair of sunglasses before trotting out of his house.
"Look out, Equestria! Here comes a new and stylish Feather Bangs!" Feather announced as he began trotting down the streets.
Feather strolled down the main street of Starlight's village. He winked at some mares who were passing by. The mares however looked at Feather with confused looks as he was wearing such outdated clothing. It wasn't long for Feather to reach the produce stands where ponies buy veggies and fruits. Feather made his way to the fruit stand where a dark blue, pegasus mare with white, spiky manes was working at. The mare's expression turned sour when she spotted Feather approaching her.
"Hey there, Night Glider." Feather said while pulling down his shades.
"Hello, Feather." Night Glider said with a fake smile. "Here to make another failed attempt to ask me out on a date?"
"Why Night, I'm offended!" Feather said in shock. "I'm just here to buy a fruit basket for my grandmare. I'll be visiting her in Foalrida and I thought it would be nice to give her a gift."
'More like trying to bribe some mare with fruit.' Night Glider assumed. Night Glider's thought was interrupted when she noticed Feather's outfit. She started to snicker and tears started to come out from her eyes.
"Bwah ha ha ha!" Night Glider laughed out loud. "W-what's with your outfit!? Are you going to some disco convention!?" Night Glider continued to laugh while holding her stomach.
"I have you know that my uncle gave this to me to help me find love! Now what about my fruit basket?" Feather demanded. Night Glider was able to calm down for a bit.
"Alright, alright. I'll get you your fruit basket." Night Glider said as she began putting some fruits into one basket. "So what are you gonna do in Foalrida besides visiting your grandmare? Flirt with some mares on the beach?"
"How do you know that?" Feather asked in surprise.
"Foalrida is the number one spot in Equestria where hopeless stallions like you try to meet mares." Night Glider claimed.
"I could find some mares who would like me." Feather said in defense.
"Right," Night Glider said sarcastically as she brought up the completed fruit basket. "Anyway, here's your basket." Feather gave Night Glider some bits before he stormed off with a huff.
"Good luck, Feather!" Night Glider joked as Feather made his way to the train station.
