Demise of the King

They quickly cleaned the house up and all bolted out the door. Later the 3 of us returned and didn’t suspect a thing; the house looked just like we had left it. The team stopped in the road “alright everypony we are about to begin our long journey to canterlot, if you need anything get it now and meet back here in an hour” shadow announced. They all split for their homes and grabbed everything they needed for their journey. An hour later they regrouped and set off for canterlot. “We need to keep our wits about us, the kingdom is in such poor shape who knows what we will come across” scene warned the others. “Hmmmm right, everypony be careful” shadow backed him up. They travelled down the road, it was quiet too quiet. An ominous wind blew, filling the air with tension and suspense. The 3 stood strong, ready for anything that would come their way, except fluttershy she was terrified.

“So what happens when we reach canterlot?” dash was curious “we give the crown to Celestia and she’ll take care of the rest” scene answered her. “Scene aren’t you the kings right hoof pony?” shadow asked “yes, yes I am but I reside in ponyville with my mare here. Once the king went missing I lost my connection with canterlot, so I know just about as much that’s going on there as you.” “Which is pretty much nothing” shadow had a serious look about him, they had no idea what to expect. “well regardless of what we know about canterlot, we do know that twilight is behind this all and that nova six is indeed the king in disguise” scene promptly said. “Yes and she needs to be brought to justice” shadow agreed. The 4 of them were quite a distance away from ponyville but nowhere close to canterlot but surely on their way to it.

They continued down the path and came across a small town. Many of the houses and buildings were in ruins or burned down. There were small huts made of straw, wood, and whatever could be salvaged from the ruins around them. “Dash, stay behind me” shadow was protecting her “you too fluttershy, stay behind me. Who knows what kind of ponies live here” scene added. The 4 of them slowly proceeded forward, the 2 stallions ready for anything. Suddenly a group of 6 unicorns jumped out from behind some rubble and charged the adventurers. Shadow charged them and scene took point and began shooting lasers from his horn. Some of the unicorns returned fire as shadow jumped and tackled one of them to the ground and proceeded to punch him in the face. Scene continued to fire and hit one of the unicorns in the chest, the unicorn fell to the ground. Dash raced from behind and gave one of the unicorns a flying kick to the face. As all of this was happening fluttershy coward, lying on the ground covering her head in fear. As shadow continued to punch the unicorn, he tried to shoot shadow but he moved his head out of the way at the last second. Shadow looked at the unicorn, pissed, and head butted him, knocking the unicorn out cold. Scene struck down another 2 unicorns with his shots. As dash continued battling one of the unicorns, the last one tried to get her from behind. But shadow tackled him right before he got her. After dash and shadow knocked out the 2 remaining unicorns, the 3 ponies tried to catch their breath. Fluttershy lifted her hooves from her head “is it over?” “Yeah baby, it’s over” scene replied still trying to catch his breath.

Suddenly another unicorn jumped out from behind the rubble and shot a laser, striking scene. Scene fell to the ground before fluttershy’s eyes “SCENE!! My baby!!” her eyes began to glow a blinding bright white and she lifted into the air. The wind began whipping up violently and bolts of lightning struck all around. The unicorn stood still in shock along with dash and shadow. She looked at the unicorn and in a deep demonic voice said “now you’re fucked.” She then shot across the sky towards the unicorn, faster than a bolt of lightning. She struck the unicorn causing a massive explosion that knocked dash and shadow off of their hooves. After the dust settled all that was left of the unicorn was a charred pile of mush.

Dash and shadow instantly hopped to their hooves as fluttershy rushed to her stallion’s aid. “Baby are you ok??” tears were pouring down her face. Scene moaned in pain “I’ll……I’ll be alright babe” shadow and dash rushed over “he needs to get to a doctor and quick” shadow said knowing they were nowhere near any aid. “Hey!” a voice called out from behind them, shadow spun around ready to attack. “No no I mean you no harm I promise” the normal earth pony replied hoping he wasn’t struck down. “I can see your friend there is hurt pretty bad, bring him to my hut so I can fix him up.” The 3 did as the earthbound instructed and carried scene to his hut.
