Sunset Rider

Under normal circumstances Sunset would have died, the water was very shallow. She had simply been swept away by the water away from the bridge. As soon as Sunset was sure nobody would see her, she climbed out. She than whistled, summoning her hell cycle. When she got on, Sunset zoomed away and out of the city.

Sunset thou about Johnny, he one true love. The man who saw past her sins and returned the love she gave him. But she's made of sin now, she did the worst thing anyone could have made. Making a deal with the devil.

Sunset stopped on the top of a hill and looked at the sunset. "I'm sorry for leaving you Johnny but it's to keep you safe. Besides, how could you possibly love me. I let my selfish desires and sins turn me back into a she-demon, back to where I was. I became greedy for power again, the power to have revenge and I whew that revenge was a sin, I should've known better." Said Sunset Shimmer as she began to tear up.

Sunset continued with "Despite all that it has become my duty to protect and avenge the innocent whenever their blood is spilled. I love you with every part of my heart."

"Goodbye". She finished.

Sunset then left on her motorcycle, never intending to return.

The next day...

"If there's anyone who can find Sunset, it's my brother" Twilight said with confidence. Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack and Johnny had been looking for Sunset Shimmer all morning. They wanted to try and comfort her for the loss of Pinkie Pie and Rarity. After hours of searching they decided to go to the police were Twilights brother shining armour works as a police officer.

When they entered the Canterlot police station they found shining armour at the front desk. "Excuse me Shining, we're looking for Sunset Shimmer, do you know where she is?" Twilight asked her bother. "Of course" he said Shining Armour typed the name into the computer but when the results came up his face became sad since he knew that Sunset was their friend. He didn't want to say it but he needed to "she's classified as deceased" he said. All the girls and Johnny gasped "W-what, that's not possible, she has to be alive" Johnny said, hoping that the police database was wrong.

"I'm sorry, but it says here that she committed suicide yesterday in the evening" Shining said and pulled up security camera footage on a bridge. They saw Sunset climb up on to the barrier "no, don't do it Sunset!" Fluttershy cried but she and the others could only watch in horror as Sunset fell out of frame, off the bridge.

Johnny collapsed, curled up into a fetal position and started crying. The four girls helped him into a sitting position "this is my fault. I should've been there for her" he said.

Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, and Applejack kept trying to comfort him but it was no use. Even when they all returned home they couldn't deny it. Sunset Shimmer was gone and never coming back.

The next day...

A funeral was held at Johnny's home town graveyard, Johnny cried the whole time. The speeches given by everyone there was very heart warming. Johnny however couldn't talk, what he and Sunset had couldn't be put into words. The love between them was too special.

Even after the funeral ended Johnny stayed for hours afterward. He eventually went home but he stayed up very late, wondering why Sunset had to leave. Was it for sins he had done in the past? Was Sunset so special she was needed by god in heaven. The image of Sunset as an angel fighting hideous demons from hell crossed his mind. He cracked a small smile at the thought before getting to his knees.

"Lord, I'm lost. You know how special Sunset was to me but now she's gone. Were you bringing judgement down on me as punishment for my past sins? Was she needed for a higher purpose and she needed to be sacrificed. Please give me a sign. I need your guidance" Johnny prayed.

He got in to bed but he didn't go to sleep right away. The bed felt cold and empty with out Sunset, just like his heart. He looked out the window at the night sky, it was filled with beautiful stars.

"Sunset, if can hear me, I love you with all my heart and my love is for you alone. No girl could ever match the love you gave back. I hope you are in a better place and I promise to pray to you every night. Goodbye Sunset" Johnny said to the stars, hoping one of them was Sunsets soul. His love for Sunset was so powerful he would not marry another girl. He would remember her for the rest of his life and when died, and he will, Johnny will be reunited with the one he loves most. Not even death would separate them.

Elsewhere...

Sunset was a she-demon again and she kept wondering why. She concluded that it was her destiny to be one. To be a vile, ugly, terrifying, and destructive creature with powers beyond what anyone else could dream of, just like before. She now had powers come from that of nightmares, from the deepest depths of hell where only the hottest of hellfire burns.

There was another reason why she left. Johnny was religious and here Sunset was, a pawn owned by the devil. Johnny would hate her. No amount of love that Johnny had for her could keep them together, besides.....

Who would love a she-demon?
