Present Day It was just a regular Tuesday night and I put on a small sized shirt that has a picture of popcorn on it and I put on a sweater as I then got my wallet and keys. As soon as I opened my apartment door I pause to look at the picture that’s hung right beside the door. It was a picture of my parents and my 8 year-old self. I instantly had a flashback multiple of a picticular car crash and a person in a hospital as if I was having a seizure. My dad died by that car crash us home, but my mom and I still survived. Only 2 months later mom would’ve died from too much depression and heartbreak. Ever since then I’ve had those PTSD flashes for 6 years straight and I had to live at a foster's home. I’ve been going for therapy and even gone to rehab a month for abusing painkillers, but I’ve never let that get in the way at least. “I love you,” I quietly whisper and kiss the photo of my parents and head out the door. I head out my apartment to my red Lamborghini, thank god my parents saved up all that money and gave it to me in their will. Once I turned 18 the amount of $100,000 went to me. Despite all setbacks I was living a pretty decent life lately. About minutes later I pull to a taco restaurant for some dinner. When holidays like Christmas or even Valentine’s Day it gets lonely for since I have no one to share it with, well my therapist at least visits me during the holidays to keep me company, he was honestly more of a great friend to me. He then became unconscious and fell to the ground. "Hey, are you alright," I ask as she takes my hand and gets up. "Besides almost getting abused by Blueblood here, I should be fine darling," she dusts herself off. "Well I suppose I'll get going," "Oh but wait, I must reward you for saving me darling, in fact I'll pay for the food,” the purple-haired girl offers as I was actually surprise that she’s even willing to. “No, it’s okay I don’t... want to impose or anything... and beside you wouldn’t even like me since... I’m a guy in women’s clothing,” I say as I had some trouble finding the right words and even hesitated to decline that offer. “Nonsense, nonetheless I will not take no for an answer, now it may be quite unusual for a guy wearing a ladies’ intimates doesn’t mean they’re not like most people,” I’m actually shock that she would actually consider me as a person. Usually some people who are mostly transphobic would make fun of me, let alone if anyone else ever cared about me. “So... you actually don’t care about my looks?” I ask to double check to see if see wasn’t playing. “It’s not your looks, it’s your inner beauty that’s counts the most,” I then felt chills all over my body as soon as she said that. Thanks I didn’t really think I pull off this girly look I have,” the fact that I wear size 8 converse shoes, black lady jeans, and and size small popcorn shirt right in the open would make that statement invalid. “Nice dress your wearing, though I’m not really that big on fashion,” Rarity then giggles. “I know you’re a Non-Binary but I didn’t think you act more like a gentleman,” Rarity teases me wrapping her finger around my shirt collar while I blushed hardly at the feeling. As soon as I finished ironing my clothes I heard someone knocking on my door I quickly put on my undies and I quickly put on light blue jeans that had a couple white stringed holes and a sized medium pink shirt then I head for the door and opened it and as I expected, Rarity had arrived at my door. “Hey,” “Hello Sam, I suppose you’re ready to come with go?” She asks as I went to put on my signature converse shoes. “Yeah I should be good to go,” I answered. “I like the place you have here love,” “Thank you, it’s not really much but it’s at least cozy,” I grab my phone and my car keys and we were getting ready to go until Rarity looks at the picture of me and my parents. “I don’t mean to be personal but, whatever happened to your parents,” I felt like my heart took a sharp pain like a gun shot after those words. “I don’t really want to talk about them,” “Why not?” She asks me. “I..... just don’t want to,” I started to flinch at myself and started having one of those PTSD episodes again. “Oh my, is there something wrong?” I started to tear up in my eyes and Rarity tries to calm me down as she leads me to sit down on my bed. “Darling you can’t just refuse a little help, especially knowing that I won’t take ‘no’ for an answer,” “Ok,” I wipe away tears and started to explain “My father had already died in a car accident years ago when I was 14 or 15 years old..... then months later mom would’ve died from heartbreak,” “That must’ve been hard for you,” Rarity says as she put her hands on my shoulders. “I’ve been dependent on therapy for years..... what’s worse is that I’ve been ‘fucked’ by drugs multiple times and ended up going to rehab for a month..... once I turned 18 I was able to use the money from my parent’s will to get myself back on track..... I wished I was never had been non-binary..... like... this..... then maybe this stuff wouldn’t happen,” I started to tear up again. “Don’t say that, things like this happen for a reason dear, and it not because you’re a non-binary,” Rarity reassures me. “Look Sam, you are full of beauty on the inside and you’ve always have been.
