From darkness to light and judgement pt2

Jason was letting the mare holding him cry her heart out not knowing what to say he wasn't sure if he was dreaming or that he had finally died from internal bleeding and this was his brain giving him one last good memory. He wasnt sure and he didnt care he didnt want it to end. He finally got to remeet one of the mares that helped him when he was a boy. He just sat there taking in her warmth something that was all to quickly ended when she stood back up looking down at the beaten and broken man that was her friend. Before anyone could react one of the guards from before ran up and kicked the man in his face.

"DO NOT LAY YOUR FILTHY HANDS ON HER HIGHNESS!!"

Everyone in the room could only look on in shock as Jason's body hits the ground blood flying from his mouth.

"HOW DARE YOU HURT HIM" Luna yells in rage at the guard. The guard just backs up in fear of the princess not knowing what to do.

"Guards take him away we will deal with him later!" With that the guard was taken from the room with the onlookers staring at the door before returning their attention back to the man on the ground. Luna rushes to his side lifting his face to meet hers.

"Luna what is the meaning of this what happened?"

"Sister its him... its Jason." Lunas sister and the lavender alicorns eyes grow wide as tears start to fill the edges

"EVERYPONY PLEASE LEAVE THE ROOM IMMEDIATELY AS WELL AS THE GUARDS AND BRING IN THE MEDICAL STAFF!"

"Luna i... is this true? Is that really Jason?" The lavender one asks almost on the brink of a melt down.

"Yes Twilight I would remember his face and voice anywhere even if it has gotten deeper he never lost his tone." With that twilight dropped to her knees crying over Jasons beaten body.

"I'm so sorry that this happened to you jason." Luna says trying to hold back her tears failing miserably.

"I... it's ok... L... Luna don't cry f... for me I made my... choices and I'm gonna live with them." Coughing more blood up Jason looks down at his long time friend crying uncontrollably over his chest.

"Hey twilight h... how you doing, better than m... me I hope."

"Please d..don't die, I already lost y..you once don't go again." With that she breaks down even more burying her face in his neck hugging him. Celestia just stands to the side not believing what she sees before her the once happy innocent little boy she once knew, beaten and broken the trails of military life taking their toll on his body. Jason turns his head to her looking into her eyes the once bright and cheerful eyes now a dull blue of their younger counter part.

"Hey Sunbutt... hows it been still the pra... prankster as ever i... I hope" with a strained chuckle Jason brings his head back down to Lunas lap trying not to move to much.

"Jason please dont move to much medical is on its way." Celestia chokes out holding back her own tears. Jason just smiles while letting the darkness take his vision slipping to unconsciousness.

"JASON PLEASE STAY AWAKE! JASON! JASON!" Luna cries out burying her face in his shoulder with twilight. Just then the medical staff rush into the room coming to the group.

"Princesses we need to move him now and get him treated before he loses to much blood." With that the two hesitantly release the man for the staff to take him away.

1 week later

Jason wakes up with a gasp frantically looking around the room taking in his surroundings. With noone in the room jason calms down and rests his head back down onto the pillow. Going back over the events of what happened before he blacked out Jason smiles at the memory of seeing his freinds again not knowing if it was a dream or not. After an hour of waiting Jason notices nature making a call so he decides to try and get up out of bed. Leaning up Jason feels pain throughout his body and lays back down breathing heavily, trying again he takes his time throwing his legs over the side of the bed and grabbing something sturdy to help him up.

Making his way slowly to the bathroom he opens the door revealing a clean bathroom with a shower/bathtub on the far wall and a toilet and sink with a mirror on the left wall. After doing his business he makes his way to the sink washing his hands and splashing his face to get the gunk out of his eyes and his hair down to a state of normalcy. Looking at his face he can see the cuts in his face where he had been beaten and the slight mark's of bruising around his cheek and eye. After his look in the mirror he makes his way back to bed laying back down wondering when a nurse or anyone would make their way to his room.

After another 30 mins of laying there Jason hears someone walking just outside his door when they suddenly stop. The handle starts to move opening the door revealing someone he thought was just a fragment of his dying imagination. Twilight walked into the door with food and get well soon cards on a small tray. Her eyes were red and dark rings were under her eyes from lack of sleep. She was talking on the phone when she came in so he heard what seemed like the end of the conversation.

"I know Fluttershy, I'll let you girls know if anything changes... no you dont need to come up here to help... no I'll be fi...." twilight stops mid sentence her eyes going wide as she drops her phone and tray in surprise to seeing Jason awake.
"J.... Jason?"

"Hey twi..." jason didnt get to finish as twilight threw herself into Jason crying into his shoulder.

"Your awake! I cant believe it the doctors said you might not wake up." She says burying her face into his shoulder.

"Hey stop crying I'm alright see I'm not dead and I'm not in a coma so please stop crying." Twilight crying slows down but it's still there.

" I thought I lost you again." Twilight adjusts her body so that shes laying on the bed with jason hugging him not letting her go in fear that he might disappear if she does.

"Dont worry twi I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." After an hour of them laying there the door bursts open revealing two more mares who run into the room frantically looking around upon seeing Jason the two run over grabbing Jason in a tight hug burying his face in there chests.

"CANT BREATH NEED AIR!" Jason yells through the cleavage that is his soon to be executioners. After the two release him Jason takes in much needed air looking at the two mares who look at the ground embarrassed by their actions.

" We are sorry jason but when we were told that you had awakened we got here as fast as we could, and well we got a bit carried away."

"It's alright but what happened how long was I out?"

"After you blacked out you were taken to the medical wing and treated for your injuries they said you were in a coma and unsure if you would even wake up." Celestia says looking Jason over taking in his features.

"Since then we would come to check on you, we haven't been getting as much sleep as we should especially twilight." Looking over at the mare who has been sleeping peacefully since calming down.

"I could tell seeing how she had dark rings under her eyes."

"Yes the whole thing has taken its toll on her, but enough of that how do you feel?"

"Like I just got put through the ringer with a pack of angry badgers the thrown out a four story building. Other than that I feel fine."
After talking for a while longer twilight had woken up with a small smile on her face.

"Morning sleepy head, sleep good?"

"Mmm yea..." Twilights eyes shot open and she shot out of bed falling on the floor landing hard and on her rear.

"Ouch."

"Haha... hey there have any pleasant dreams?"

"Hardy har har very funny why didn't you wake me up?." Twilights asks with slight annoyance in her voice.

"Because you looked so peacefull and from what I've been told you needed it." Twilight got up looking at jason with a glare but it quickly softens, looking around she sees the two princesses in the room looking at her with smiles.

"Good morning Twilight did you sleep well?" Luna leans over to her sister whispering into her ear.

"Oh my Twilight I didn't know you were one to think about that." Celestia says with a chuckle.

"What was she dreaming about?" Jason asks confusion evident on his face.

"Do. Not. Tell him." Twilight says venom in her voice.

"Relax fair Twilight we were only teasing. Now you must be hungry Jason would you like to join us for lunch?"

"Um yea sure, shouldn't we get the doctors in here run a few tests make sure everything is on the up and up?"

"No need to worry we preformed a spell checking all of your vitals and the only thing we must worry about is you over doing it for the next two weeks."

"Of course you did always one to get right to it huh." Celestia just looks away with her face going red.

"Well it has been a week and I'm sure you wouldn't want to be held up in a hospital room any longer than you have." Jason chuckles laying his head back on the pillow.

"Alright let's go but first I need a change of clothes and some help to get around." With a flash of light a bag of clothes and some crutches appear to the side of Jason.

"Well that's handled if you girls wouldn't mind giving me some privacy to change and I'll meet you out side."

"As you wish Jason we will see you when you are done." With that the three mares walk out of the room leaving jason to change. Standing up with the help of the table next to his bed Jason grabs the clothes putting them on. Donning a pair of dark blue Jean's boots and a black Metallica shirt Jason grabs his crutches and makes his way to the hall.

"Well don't let anyone say you don't clean up nicely." Lunas says looking Jason up and down.

"Thanks luna... so, lunch."

"Ah right this way I'm sure your hungry."

"Very." As the group makes there way to the dining room Jason takes in the surroundings and decor of the castle, as they walked down the hall Jason noticed a few things mainly the murals depicting history of equestria specifically the ones that twilight is in the defeat of nightmare moon discord and a few more after all the way up till now showing her gain her wings making her a princess.

" damn twi I sure missed a lot didn't I."

"Yes you did were you able to keep up with the history after you returned home?"

"Yea at least the few clipits of what came over with the ponies that moved."

"Ah I see we have learned a bit of history from your people as well since humans started to move here."

"Celestia I don't mind the small chit chat but with tensions and fighting going off and on why would you let us move to equestria?"

"The same as your government, we wont turn away those that have no participation in the politics and other reasons we would allow them to be here just to try and let people live their lives the way they wish to, yes tensions aren't as low as we wish but what can you do politics are a mind numbing and annoying thing to deal with but we must do it so good can come from bad things before they get to much worst." Jason understands their reasons the American government is the same way he isn't to sure about other countries but all he knows is that they have no problem with the equestrian government or they do but don't want to cause a war to break out with a country that has magical abilities.

"Its the same way with our side but politics and political figures just like to cause more issues than there needs to be, but it usually stems from previous events and they just try to fix what they can." Celestia and luna give a slight nod to that.

"Anyway enough of this topic we should be celebrating our reunion should we not." Luna says with a extra bounce in her step.

"Lunas right we shouldn't be talking about politics right now." Twilight says agreeing with luna.

After a few mins of walking they finally reach the dining room where they take their seats luna and twilight taking seats on both sides of Jason and Celestia taking the seat in front of them. The waitress comes out asking what the group would like and they give their orders. They make idle small talk while they wait for the food going from what they have been up to and in little tidbits of gossip that they have come across.

"Wow twi I knew you had a bright future but for real element of harmony and a princess that's crazy." Jason says with a chuckle.

"What it's TRUE I am one of the elements of harmony as well as princess of friendship." Twilight states with pride. Almost spitting out his drink Jason swallows and starts laughing.

"Really princess of friendship the girl that didnt care about much else other than books and magic is the princess of friendship, that's a shocker."

"What, how!? I can make friends!"

"Let me guess ones a tomboy a farmer a beauty queen an overly active person and a teacher?"

Well for the first 3 dead on but the last two yes and no PINKIE pie is a party planner as well as a Baker and fluttershy is a animal lover as well as ponyvilles resident vet shes also extremely shy."

"Meh I was right about three of them."
Before they time to go more into it the waitress and waiters brought out the food and placed it down in front of the respective person who ordered it.

Celestia ordered a ceaser salad with a cake for dessert, luna got a sandwich with what seemed to be flowers in it, twilight got the same thing but with a cupcake for dessert, while Jason got a juicy sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and gravy with a glass of whiskey to drink.

"Damn this looks good and I haven't had a decent glass of whiskey in a while.

"Well I'm glad your so happy well no need to wait dig in I'm sure you cant wait to eat it."

"With pleasure." With that Jason cut into his steak taking a bite. With a happy smile Jason let's lose all hesitation and digs into his food with as much gusto as possible. After finishing his food he looks around the table at the smiling faces of his freinds with his face reddened from the stares he clears his throat before breaking the silence.

"So um sorry about that i must have been hungrier than I thought, it was delicious though." Jason says while grabbing his drink to wash down what was left in his teeth.

"Anyway what's gonna happen now, am I going to be sent home or am I gonna be kept here for the charges i was accused of?"

"Let's not talk about that now let's just enjoy the moment and catch up shall we." Twilight says not wanting to get into what's gonna happen to her lost friend, and so they went back to chatting and eating. Eventually their party ended up in Celestia's room with drinks being served and drunken shenanigans ensuring.
The next morning Jason woke up in a bed that was not his own looking around he noticed it was still dark. Looking for a clock he spots one next to the bed with it reading 6:00 am.

'Fuck not even daybreak yet. Ugh what happened last night dinner check went back to Celestia's room check we started drinking and after that nothing.' Jason was brought out of his thoughts by movement next to him with hesitation he grabs the blanket and pulls it back to reveal the person laying next to him. Once the blanket was removed Jason couldn't help but swallow the lumb forming in his throat as he looks upon the mare laying next to him being none other than Luna with a small smile on her face.

"Oh shit."
