Author's Note

Hey, everyone!

Sorry the buildup is taking a while, but I promise it'll have a payoff. My new work schedule doesn't give me a lot of time to write in the morning anymore, so I may have to just transfer into the evening hours and then post the chapter the next day. Anyway, the sex is coming, I promise!

Have a good day, everypony!

Flight Camp, Pt. 2

Fluttershy wept on her bed after being sent back to the bunkhouse by Thunder Cloud. She had never been more embarrassed or humiliated in her young life, and she felt as if she had completely disappointed all Pegasi everywhere. When she had entered the obstacle course, she got knocked off kilter by the very first bar she tried to hurdle. She had spun out of control, knocking a few other ponies out of the sky and into violent tailspins.

Thankfully, they managed to right themselves and float back to the clouds below. She, on the other hoof, had to be assisted back down by a couple of her classmates. She blushed severely, and nearly began crying as Thunder reamed her performance. He was so angry that she became fearful for her safety, and considered it a blessing when she was sent away and placed in confinement. It was true what they said of Flight Camp: “if you can’t fly, don’t even try.”

As she mourned her own shame, she heard hoofsteps approach. They seemed to stop right behind her, and she cowered against a wall. The last thing she wanted was company. She just needed to be alone and try and convince herself that being expelled from the camp and sent home wouldn’t leave permanent mental damage. But the shadow that accompanied the steps wouldn’t budge, and she bent even further into the barrier.

“Please,” she said, just above a whisper, “I really don’t feel like seeing anypony.”

“Then maybe this pony feels like seeing you,” a kind voice responded.

She turned around to see a young blue colt standing there. He had sharp green eyes, and rather nice looking wings. She blushed a bit at her display of sadness, feeling that it was an immature way to act in front of somepony new. She thought that he was a representative from Thunder, come to claim her very soul in some kind of black magic act that only members of a deranged cult would perform. She squeaked a bit and backed away, but to her surprise, he sat on her bed and pulled her into a hug. It was a daring move on his part, but she was glad for the comfort.

“Listen, Fluttershy,” he said, “you’ve gotta have more confidence in yourself.”

“But I just don’t!” She cried, “How can I have confidence in something that’s never gonna work? I’ll never fly as well as the other foals. I’m just…worthless.”

“You are not worthless,” the colt said, running a hoof through her mane, “I promise you’re not.”

“Hey…” she said as she wiped some tears away, “…how did you know my name? Thunder didn’t give us a chance to introduce ourselves.”

Now it was his turn to blush. “Because we’re from the same Quadrant of Cloudsdale. We’ve been going to the same school for a few years now. My name’s Sky Dancer. I know I’ve never been much of an acquaintance to you, but the truth is, I’ve noticed you from across the playground.”

“You have?”

He nodded. “Yes, I have, and I’ve seen you attempt to fly. Fluttershy, your wings are just fine! When you’re by yourself…or you think you are…you’ve done some pretty impressive things.”

Fluttershy felt her face go red all over again. She remembered doing loops and spins just like any other Pegasi her age. But the difference was that nopony was watching her. She was all alone, and she would leap off the top of a slide or a platform and begin hurtling through the air with the greatest of ease. Her confidence shot forth like a beautiful golden arrow when she was alone. But when she was with others, it seemed to seal itself off in some restricted section of her mind that even she didn’t have access to.

“I just can’t fly with everyone watching like that,” she confessed, “it’s so terrifying!”

“Hey, I’ve got news for you,” he said, “it’s frightening for me, too. But I still get up there and do it because I know that, if I don’t practice, I’ll never improve from where I am now.”

“I know you’re right,” Fluttershy responded, “I just get scared of so much, and I hate being up so high!”

“That’s when you ignore the ground,” Sky said, “and focus on the azure horizon beyond. Fluttershy, you can do this. You’ve just gotta believe in yourself…as I believe in you.”

Fluttershy smiled. Nopony had been this nice to her since she’d arrived! She immediately took a liking to the young colt and pushed herself a little closer to him. She blushed a bit, noticing that he carried quite a charming quality. “Um…so…the Mess Hall’s having a dance tomorrow night,” she said nervously, “would you care to go?”

Sky smiled back. “Ah, the filly asking the colt on a date, eh?” He chuckled, “I’d love to. But please, I’d like to do things properly.”

“Oh…alright.”

“Would you be my date tomorrow night?”

“Absolutely.”

The two foals left the Mess Hall before everyone else, wanting to beat the rather large crowd that had turned out. The dance had been absolutely amazing, with everypony wearing their Flight Camp uniforms. Once again, the colts put on a display of wing strength for the fillies, who giggled and made a big deal out of it. There was cake and punch and the instructors even handed out some awards for the most promising fliers. Sky was gifted a medal for his work, and he wore it proudly.

“It’s so shiny!” Flutter raved as they trotted along the clouds back to their bunkhouse.

“Yeah,” Sky said, “and it’s all thanks to you.”

“Me? What did I do?”

“You give me confidence, Flutter,” he said honestly, “just as I try to do with you. I know I didn’t tell you this the other day, but I’ve had a crush on you for quite some time.”

Fluttershy smiled and blushed in the moonlit darkness. “I guessed,” she said, “and to be fair, you’re a rather handsome colt.”

Suddenly, he stopped and turned to face her. He admired her beauty as the moon struck a glow off of her stunning pink mane. Her blue eyes shone, and the Camp uniform accentuated her body perfectly. He felt something stir below his metaphorical belt, and he had to force himself to behave. His father had recently had “the talk” with him, and made him promise to leave the fillies alone until they were ready. But how could they not be ready? How could this moment go without satisfaction? The moon, the atmosphere, everything was absolutely wondrous.

“May I…may I kiss your cheek?” He stuttered.

Fluttershy smiled again. “Only if I can kiss yours…”

He nodded, and the two kissed each other’s soft faces, gingerly moving towards the lips as they felt their bodies and minds begin entwining. When they got there, they were very generous, gently touching tongues and softly breathing into each other. Fluttershy thought that his breaths were absolute masterpieces, warm and completely loving. He thought the same of her, and when they broke apart for air, they realized just how far they had gone.

“I…I know we’ve only officially known each other for a short while,” he said, “but I feel as if I’ve known you my entire life.”

“I feel the same way,” she responded, “and…I wanna go further.”

“You do?!”

“Yes,” she said, “when I’m with you, I feel that confidence bursting within. I need you, Sky. I…love you.”

“I love you too, Fluttershy,” he said in return, “I always have. If you want to go further, then I want to be with you every step of the way.”

“Let’s go back to the bunkhouse and…make love.”

“Yes…” Sky responded in the most amazing daze he’d ever been in.
