Mother,

First of all, it is not a made up name. I’ll have you know Alex Roberts means Bright Defender in his language. I can also tell you he’s not some low life clover dealer, mom. I didn't know Happy Daze was into that. Anyway, I dumped her as soon as I found out.

Mom, I don’t know what kind of news you get in Cloudsdale, but Alex is the leader of the Paladins of Redemption. He's the personal champion of Princess Luna, in the same way the Elements of Harmony are the personal champions of Princess Celestia.

He’s a good guy. Really good. You know how dad jokes about all my special friends being too good for me? Well, this time, he’s right. And I’m always afraid of losing him.
