The Thin Line:Love And War
The Thin Line:Love and War
Rainbow Dash lay in bed, only partially covered by cloth. She watched the red stallion pull the heavy horse collar over his neck, getting ready for his job in Appleoosa. Moving had been a tough decision, all her friends lived in Ponyville but Appleoosa had recently struck gold, its placement meant it had the best food in miles. Not to mention with it's newfound buffalo fame there came Bits, lots of them. The opportunity was impossible to ignore. Big Macintosh had been offered a huge sum of bits for work for the summer at Appleoosa. He had always helped his cousin Braeburn during the summers but never had the work been this hard before. The work was demanding and difficult in the hot sun, the kind of labor most ponies wouldn't want to do. Opening the door to their house, rays of sun shimmered down on the red stallion's orange mane. Standing in the door frame for a moment before stepping out, the red pony said.
“Dash? Yall know how much I love ya right?”
“All of what I am doing is for us! you'll see.” With that, he smiled stepping out into the Appleoosian sun. Rainbow Dash’s eyes followed him out, her heart filled with butterflies as her mate disappeared behind the closing door.
There was not much need for a weather pony in Appleoosa. Rainbow Dash spent her days lost in thought about her home in Ponyville. She missed her friends but she loved Big Mac and she knew how important this was. None the less, she was homesick.
Outside, a loud commotion broke Rainbow Dash’s thought, she hurried through the door to see what was happening. A crowd of ponies gathered just outside. In the center, three nasty looking buffalo surrounded Big Macintosh. The biggest of the three had a golden horn and an eye patch around his left eye. There was an expression of fury painted on the red stallions face. Stepping toward the front of the crowd, Rainbow Dash heard the buffalo in mid sentence
“ …… Still an outsider! Outsiders ain’t welcome in Appleoosa.” The lead buffalo said as a hoof came up to tap Big Macintosh in the chest.
Big Macintosh turned his rear, facing his assailant, he gave a full buck kick to the chest of the buffalo. The buffalo was knocked off of his hooves, hitting ground with a loud thud. Snarling, his eyes bursting with rage, the buffalo jumped back up as he shouted to his goons.
“Grab him boys!”
The other two buffalo had been quiet until now. They quickly followed their boss' order without hesitation. Grabbing Big Macintosh, the two overpowered him with pure force. The red stallion, not going down without a fight thrashed violently. The two buffalo received cuts and bruises, but alone Big Mac could not overcome the powerful creatures. Big Macintosh struggled to no avail, quickly being pinned back by the two beasts, each almost twice his size.
Rainbow Dash was shocked, she knew that he needed help. Without a second thought she zipped in the direction of Braeburn's house. Getting to the door, Rainbow Dash bucked it down without even knocking. Braeburn was inside, his jaw dropped and his eyes went wide.
“Rainbow? What the hell!……” He started, only to be interrupted by Rainbow Dash.
“There are buffalo…… Gold Horn!……. Big Mac!……. In Trouble!…….” She managed to say.
“Woah now. calm down and say that again, Did you say Big Mac is in trouble?” The wide eyed earth pony asked.
“YES!" They said something about “Outsiders ain't welcome here.” Rainbow Dash cried.
“Outsider? Big Mac? Everypony knows him.” Braeburn replied with a smirk, regardless he followed Rainbow Dash out the door.
Stopping only to collect the sheriff, Braeburn and Rainbow quickly made their way back to the now bigger group of ponies surrounding the commotion. Bursting through the masses as fast as they could, they were shocked to see Big Macintosh. His face bloodied, he was barely conscious. Horror in her eyes, Rainbow Dash saw the beaten pony mouth.
“I love you Dash”
A flicker of golden light caught her eye, she turned to see the lead buffalo charging at Big Macintosh. The two goons were still holding him in place, his body now just slumped. The buffalo's horns collided with Big Macintosh giving almost no resistance as they sunk into his chest.
“NOOOOOOO!” Rainbow Dash screamed.
Braeburn forced his way into the commotion, bucking the gold horn gangster in the side of the head catching him off guard. The kick collided with the buffalo's cranium, knocking him to the ground. The intimidating earth pony stepped over the still dazed body of the buffalo raising a hoof.
“Ya don’t mess with family.” He said, coldly bringing his hoof down several times, full force on the buffalo’s skull.
By now the sheriff was giving chase to the two goons who had dropped Big Mac, letting his body crash to the street. Gunshots rang out as one of the buffalo fell, then the other. Warm puddles of oozing red liquid poured from the criminals’ bodies.
Big Macintosh lay in the middle of the dusty Appleoosa road. Blood seeped out of him at an alarming rate. Mixing with the blood and bits of gore from the dead gang leader, the two danced in what seemed to be slow motion. Rainbow Dash rushed to Big Mac, He was barely breathing. The buffalo's horns had missed his vital organs by just inches.
The blue Pegasus screamed, fighting through tears.
“No! Big Mac! Please don’t die. I love you! ” But the red stallion had passed out from loss of blood.
Braeburn stared at the body of his cousin, then at his bloodied hooves. He looked like he was in shock. Staring into the distance a moment later, he was in a different world. It seemed like hours before the Ponymedics pulled the still sobbing Rainbow Dash off of her critically injured lover.
At this point every second counted, Rainbow Dash had naturally wanted to hold her dying lover in her arms but Braeburn held her back. Looking into his eyes Rainbow Dash could see that Braeburn was now crying too.
Doing their best to patch up the bleeding Macintosh, the Ponymedics strapped him into a stretcher before loading him into a wagon. Rushing to the hospital on the other side of town seemed to take forever. The wagon could not go very fast over rough patches of ground, which the Appleoosa streets mainly consisted of. With Big Macintosh in his wounded state, any bumps or jars endangered his ever lowering chances of life. Rainbow Dash and Braeburn rode in the wagon, near the body of the heavily bandaged red earth pony. Dark spots of blood seeped through where the buffalo’s horns had impacted.
Rainbow Dash wept as she held her body close to her lovers. In his ear, she whispered.
“Big Mac... I love you so much! .”
His eyes still closed, Big Macintosh's ears twitched as Rainbow Dash's traumatized voice seeped through his unconscious mind.
After hours sitting in the fluorescent hallways, only occasionally would surgeons or doctors gallop the halls. each time Rainbow dash perked her ears up only to be let down when there was no news. Rainbow Dash couldn’t take it. She kicked a trash can knocking it over, her scream filled the hall. Braeburn hugged her. Minutes later, the surgeon stepped out in an all white coat.
“There is nothing more we can do In Appleoosa.” The doctor said. Seeing the expression in Rainbow Dash’s face drain, the doctor quickly added “We have stabilized the patient. A Mr. Big Macintosh. He had several contusions, deep lacerations in his face and puncture wounds in his chest, luckily missing his heart or lungs. It will be safe to transport him in a sky chariot to Canterlot Medical where they can do more.”
Relieved by the news, Rainbow Dash questioned. “He has family! is there any way I can contact them?"
The doctor pony pointed a hoof down the long white hallway.
“Look for the desk, the mare there will help you.” He said.
The hallway opened into a big waiting room full of ponies with minor injuries attributed to a hard day of work in Appleoosa. The hospital here saw enough business but they were still a relatively new establishment. The equipment had not been well suited for a pony in as critical condition as Big Macintosh.
The white earth pony mare sat behind a desk in the heart of the room, her bright fuchsia eyes locked on a Baby dragon who had vivid pink scales and sky blue spikes. They had been talking.
Rainbow Dash walked to the desk. The earth pony’s twirly light pink mane bounced as her head turned to face the saddened pegasus.
“Yes?” The white pony said, blinking her eyes several times at Rainbow Dash.
“Hey. My uh....” Rainbow Dash struggled for words. “Friend got hurt…. The doctor said you could help tell his family to meet us in Canterlot?”
“Oh yes! Oh yes! I just need the full name of the town they live and their family name so I can send the town dragon a scroll” The earth pony said gleefully.
“His name is.... Big Macintosh, send the letter to........ the Ponyville library, my friend Twilight Sparkle has a dragon there. She will know what to do.” Rainbow Dash offered.
The dragon had been writing the whole time Rainbow Dash gave information. After a moment, the dragon rolled up the scroll and sent it away with a burp of pink fire. No sooner than the scroll had vanished, the white clad doctor from before stepped into the waiting room.
“Miss?” The doctor said. “He is awake, He asked for you.”
RainbowMacintosh:Big Mac Tastes the Rainbow
Eye of The Storm
Braeburn looked toward Rainbow Dash, his face brightened up a bit as he walked toward the blue pegasus. The Appleoosian sun was setting behind dark storm clouds in the distance, painting a fiery pink and orange masterpiece that looked as if it should be behind glass at a Canterlot gallery. Braeburn put a hoof on Rainbow Dash's shoulder.
"Those buffalo were scum Rainbow. Don't feel bad." Braeburn stated.
Rainbow Dash was confused. Why would she feel bad for the monsters who had hurt her lover? Rainbow Dash was almost... happy about what had happened to them. She started to open her mouth but Braeburn turned to walk toward the sky chariot before she could gather her thoughts. As Braeburn took a seat inside the cramped chariot he looked at Big Mac's broken body, he had a cast around a leg that the buffalo goons had hobbled. The bandages that had been placed around Big Mac had started to soak with blood again. The unconscious red stallion lay waiting for proper medical care. The shy chariot took off in a direction that would lead it to Canterlot but avoid the storm that brewed in the distance. Rainbow Dash wasn't scared of a little rain, she flew straight toward the gathering storm in a blaze of passion.
Rainbow Dash zipped across the sandy landscape, even at full speed the trip to Canterlot would take a while. The blue pegasus occupied herself with thought. Voices played through her head as the memories of the day invaded her mind.
“I will always love you Dash, Remember. “All of what I do is for Us ” Big Macintosh's voice replayed in her head.
Rainbow Dash felt streams of water roll down her cheeks. She wasn't in the rain yet, she was crying from the harsh experience seeping into her head. Insane possibilities ran through her mind as she contemplated the meaning of what her lover had said. Fighting her emotions the cerulean pegasus did the same thing she did every time she was running from her feelings, she dashed. Rushing into the swirling wind of the storm full speed Rainbow Dash had not noticed the intensity of the winds had picked up. Speeding faster than she had ever gone in a straight line before, a sonic rainboom exploded behind her. The force of the winds unbalanced the current, sending Rainbow Dash into a spiraling descent toward the rocky outstretch of land that lay between the quaint dessert town and the majestic city. The journey was a short fall before Rainbow Dash impacted the rough terrain, skidding across jagged rocks that tore into her flesh. She let out a sharp cry of pain as she hit the ground at high speed. Standing up with cuts and bruises, Rainbow Dash dusted herself off. No physical pain could hurt more than the emotional pain she felt right now. Taking off into the torrential downpour once again Rainbow Dash paced herself as she flew through the liquid pelting her coat.
The storm was violent but short lived, after emptying their fluid the dark clouds dissipated to reveal the sky. Luna had raised the moon, stars shimmered down onto the rocky landscape. Rainbow Dash picked up her speed again, her body throbbed from the fall she had taken but she fought through the pain. Each flap of her wings sent her body hurtling faster toward her destination. The light from Canterlot peered through the darkness as a faint dot in the distance. Banking sharply upward Rainbow Dash rode an air current high into the sky. Zipping in and out of tufts of cloud that still dotted the night sky in places, Rainbow Dash sped toward the glowing city.
As Rainbow Dash entered the gates of the city, several ponies watched her with strange expressions. Her coat was dirty, blood slowly oozed from the fresh wounds glistening in the lights of exotic lamps that lined the illustrious streets. Rainbow Dash didn't care, she ignored the stares of ponies making her way toward Canterlot Medical. As she aproached the gigantic building, she froze for a moment. On the outside wall "Canterlot Medical Center" peered out over the city. She was stunned by the sheer size of the building that had been built strictly to nurse injured ponies back to health. The blue pegasus looked into the sky toward the top of the building wondering if Big Mac had arrived yet. She quickly trotted toward the glass doors that led inside the tall structure to find out. Upon entering the door of the medical establishment which was much bigger than Appleoosa's Rainbow Dash was almost instantly met by a brown coated unicorn wearing blue scrubs.
"Woah?" The wide eyed surgeon pony said looking at Rainbow Dash's scrapes and cuts. "Do you need some help?"
For a second Rainbow Dash was silent. Quickly she spoke out.
"Where is Big Macintosh?" She demanded.
The brown stallion raised one eyebrow confused, he had no idea what she meant. He quickly suggested that Rainbow Dash come with him.
"Big, what now? I think you should let me take a look at those cuts." He said in a near demanding voice.
Rainbow Dash reluctantly followed behind the insistent doctor. The hallways of Canterlot Medical were bland. Unlike in Appleoosa, blank white walls stretched on seemingly endlessly. Forever illuminated by fluorescent lighting. Elevators and staircases connected duplicates of the first floor to others that stacked upward. The faint smell of blood was much heavier in the halls of the prestigious hospital. Ponies came in from all corners of Equestria with wounds no other hospital could cure. The brown doctor entered an empty room as Rainbow Dash followed him inside. Quickly levitating a bottle and clean cloth from a medical desk, the doctor saturated the cloth with the clear liquid. The dour smell of disinfectant filled Rainbow Dash's nose as the cloth levitated near her. Rainbow Dash's still bleeding wounds stung as the liquid seeped from the cloth, cleaning them out. The doctor pony gently bandaged the wounds as he cleaned them, careful not to cause too much pain. Rainbow Dash's ears perked as the doctor's pager chirped startling both of them in the quiet buzz of the florescent lights. The doctor pony read the message he had received before turning back to Rainbow Dash.
"All done." The brown pegasus said. "I have to go now, There is an earth pony from Appleoosa on his last hoof coming in through the roof right now. It's my job to save him."
Rainbow Dash felt her heart sink. Big Macintosh was on "his last hoof?" The doctor quickly realized the expression on Rainbow Dash's face remembering what she had told him only minutes before. The doctor knew that the pony who sat before him at this very moment depended on him to save a pony that she loved. The doctor was nearly unable to find words to comfort the rainbow-maned pegasus whom he had just patched up.
"Miss?....." The doctor said pausing for a second. "Canterlot Medical Center is the most prestigeous medical establishment in all of Equestria, I have saved many ponies and I will do my absolute best to save every other pony that comes to my table."
Rainbow Dash felt a little better but the doctor's words didn't erase her worry for the strong-red stallion whom she loved so much. The doctor pony exited the room with Rainbow Dash in tow. The brown hoof of the doctor pointed down the long hallway back the way the two had come minutes before.
"You can wait for your friends down there. You did send a message for them didn't you? Friendship will help you get through this. Just stay strong... uhm... I didn't get your name."
Rainbow Dash looked at the doctor. His calm attitude soothed her, she quickly replied to his statement.
"My name is Rainbow Dash. Thanks doctor, please take care of Big Macintosh!" Tears started to stream from the blue pegasus's eyes.
"Well, stay strong Rainbow Dash. I have to go now, Big Macintosh needs me." The doctor said in a tone that made Rainbow Dash feel like he actually cared.
Rainbow Dash parted ways with the doctor. Slowly she cantered down the lonely hallway past occasional galloping ponies, adorned with the same blue scrubs as the brown-coat unicorn from before. She missed Big Macintosh so much, she hoped her friends were already here so she could release the emotions that suffocated her aching heart in the safety of their company.

Friendship
Rainbow Dash cantered down the depressing hall, each step she took she felt herself wishing that she would wake up from this hellish nightmare. As she drew closer to the end, she felt herself grow anxious. Stepping into a wide room, she was greeted by the sight of the first few of her friends that had arrived at the hospital. Braeburn hugged Applejack in a far corner of the room, Applejack was crying as Braeburn tried to comfort her. Braeburn looked majorly distraught from the experience himself. Apple Bloom and Twilight Sparkle walked toward Rainbow Dash, Twilight had a saddened expression on her face. Apple Bloom had been crying, her face pouted as she looked toward Rainbow Dash.
"Rainbow, Braeburn told us what happened... Are you okay?" Twilight Sparkle asked.
"Is my big brother gonna be ok? Nopony will tell me what happened!" Apple Bloom said, her eyes swelled with tears.
Rainbow Dash looked at Apple Bloom then at Twilight Sparkle, She didn't know what to tell the young filly.
"He...I...I saw them attack him....He wouldn't tell me why." Rainbow Dash looked toward Braeburn as she talked to Twilight. Rainbow Dash had bandages wrapped around her body, her coat was dirty and her mane was a mess but she didn't care. Braeburn and Applejack were talking now, Applejack had stopped crying but still looked upset. Braeburn glanced across the waiting room toward Rainbow Dash. Spike sat in a seat in the far end of the room, silently watching everypony; even he looked worried for Big Macintosh.
"Oh Rainbow. You really care about him don't you?" Twilight Sparkle asked. The purple unicorn put a hoof on Rainbow Dash's shoulder trying to ease her friend's pain.
Rainbow Dash started to feel her eyes saturate with liquid, Turning her head toward the ground she replied to Twilight.
"I love him Twilight, I was right there and... I couldn't help him...." Rainbow Dash's voice cracked as she spoke.
Braeburn and Applejack had trotted over to join everypony else, Braeburn broke out, startling Rainbow Dash in the sudden change of mood in the room.
"Now see here Rainbow Dash, Big Mac knew what he was doing! Those buffalo pushed Big Macintosh in the wrong direction ya hear me?... Ya don't mess with family ! I'd of done the same thing." Braeburn said, sadness had turned into fury in an instant. The statement confused Rainbow Dash.
"Family?" Rainbow Dash asked Braeburn.
Applejack looked toward Rainbow Dash, she knew how Rainbow Dash felt and she knew exactly what Braeburn meant. She hugged Apple Bloom while she explained to the blue pegasus.
"Family runs deeper than blood Rainbow. Yall need to hear the rest from Big Mac..." The honest earth pony said.
"Why is everypony trying to hide the truth from me? I can't take this anymore!" Rainbow Dash screamed as she stormed out of the room with tears in her eyes. Applejack tried to follow her but was stopped by Twilight Sparkle.
"Let her go AJ, I'll go talk to her." She said.
Twilight Sparkle followed Rainbow Dash into an empty medical room. It was dark and held the pungent smell of recently used antiseptic, she turned on the light to find the blue pegasus curled up in a defensive ball on the floor crying. The stress was eating away at Rainbow Dash faster than termites on balsa wood, she wanted answers but so far she just had more questions. Twilight walked close to her friend laying down near her, hugging the pegasus while she cried.
"Twilight? Why did this happen? I...I don't understand.." Rainbow Dash cried out.
"Rainbow... I don't know... Give Big Macintosh a chance to tell you, only he knows for sure... You look like you need rest..." Twilight did her best to comfort Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash and Twilight lay on the floor for several moments before Twilight offered a suggestion.
"Come on Rainbow. Get up, we can go get you cleaned up and then you can get some rest."
"No Twilight! I can't leave! what if there is news about Big Macintosh and I miss it?" Rainbow Dash responded.
"You need rest Rainbow Dash. We will come get you as soon as we hear, I promise." Twilight said, smiling to comfort her friend.
Reluctantly, Rainbow Dash stood up to follow Twilight out, she wanted to stay in case anything happened but she couldn't deny her energy had been almost entirely sapped throughout the harsh day. The pain from her crash seemed to ache worse now on her fatigued body, throbbing rhythmically to match her heartbeat.
"Okay Twilight you're right, I need sleep... Twilight?...Thank you....For coming I mean."
"Of course Rainbow Dash, that's what friends are for!" Twilight said smiling. "Rarity is waiting for us at the palace, she said she had something nice for you."
Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash walked out of the empty medical room, back into the long white hallway. Trotting toward the exit the two friends looked into the big room, the Apple Family looked emotionally wrecked. Twilight told Spike to wait with Applejack in case anything happened. As they turned to walk out, Applejack nodded her head at Rainbow Dash, Braeburn tipped his hat. Rainbow Dash looked toward the floor, she was exhausted and traumatized, she just wanted this day to be over. Exiting the giant hospital, the two stepped into Canterlot. It was night time now but the city still bustled, all types of ponies swarmed the sidewalks under the shimmers of stars in Luna's night sky. A sky chariot was waiting for the two outside, not like the one before. This was a majestic royal chariot, gems glistened on the sides of the white walls lined with gold that sparkled in the moonlight. The chariot was enclosed for privacy, the insides were lined with brilliant-crimson silk that begged to be touched. Two strong white stallions stood ready to pull it as soon as the mares stepped inside, their polished golden armor was just as fancy as the cargo they pulled. Rainbow Dash however, was unaffected by the magnificent beauty of Canterlot. Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash quickly took their seats inside the sky vehicle, shortly after the stallions broke off, speeding into the air pulling the chariot behind. Twilight Sparkle didn't know what else to say, the two friends sat silently for a while before the silence was broken.
"Twilight?" Rainbow Dash said. "Thank you."
Twilight looked at her friend, a smile formed on the purple unicorn's face. She didn't have to say anything to tell Rainbow Dash that she was there for her anytime she needed a friend. The ride seemed to take forever, in reality it was more like a few minutes. The chariot started to descend, the two friends felt it impact outside the royal palace with a practiced soft landing. The door was sheeted in magic from a unicorn outside as he opened it for the two mares. Twilight and Rainbow Dash stepped out of the chariot, Shortly after, a white unicorn stallion greeted them.
"Good evening ladies, enjoy your stay at the palace. If there is anything you require please do not refrain from asking." He said in an elegant voice.
The two friends walked toward a massive double door, it was beautifully encrusted with gems. The solid golden door handles sparkled with two separate auras as two more royal unicorn guards opened the doors for the mares, allowing them to step inside. The inside of the room was draped with magical silk in all corners, the fabric shimmered in the light that radiated from an enormous chandelier that hung in the middle of the room. Furniture was encrusted with glimmering diamonds on almost every suitable surface. Rarity and Fluttershy stepped out to greet Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle.
"Darling! Rainbow! You must come with me!" Rarity cried out.
"Umm.. if you dont mind that is..." Fluttershy quickly added with a squeak.

RainbowMacintosh:Big Mac Tastes the Rainbow
RainbowMacintosh: False Accusations
Rainbow Dash and Applejack had always been close friends. Sometimes the proud blue pegasus had trouble showing her true emotions to her friends. She found it especially difficult to express her feelings involving love. She tried to tell her friends how she felt about Big Mac, but the timing was just never right.
Sneaking into Sweet Apple Acres every day for the past few weeks, Rainbow Dash was getting less stealthy. It's not like it was a "secret" that her and Big Mac were together, it is just, nopony knew yet. Applejack called out to Rainbow Dash, spotting her skulking around the farm.
"Hey Rainbow. Whatcha doin?" She asked.
"Uhh. Nothin! " Rainbow Dash quickly said.
Applejack raised an eyebrow at the not so stealthy rainbow colored pegasus.
"Nuthin?" Applejack asked accusingly.
"Yer not here to...... see Fluttershy er sumthin are ya?" Applejack asked, remembering seeing Fluttershy the past few days also.
Rainbow Dash knew what she meant, it had not been the first time somepony had assumed she was lesbian. She was offended. Scoffing, she sped off in the direction of the barn that had been built in the place of the recently demolished one. Peeking inside the half open door, Rainbow Dash saw the muscular stallion standing over his workbench. Silently shutting the door behind herself, the sky blue colored pegasus entered the room.
"Hey stranger. " She said, startling Big Macintosh.
He glanced over his shoulder his eyes going wide at the sight of the blue mare. Rainbow Dash swayed her flanks as she walked toward the red earth pony. Even though she tried to hide it, Big Macintosh could tell she was upset.
"Dash. Y'alright?" The usually quiet earth pony questioned. A worried tone to his voice.
Tears started to well up in Rainbow Dash's eyes. She nuzzled the top of her head under his chin.
"No." She said, her voice starting to crack.
"Its Aj..... She just makes me so mad sometimes....."
"Come on. Lets talk about it Rainbow." The red pony said.
Leading the pegasus to a pile of hay in the far corner of the barn, Big Mac fluffed the bedding to make it more comfortable. Big Macintosh snuggled the pained pegasus close to his body, comforting her as he listened to her story.
“Just because my mane is Rainbow doesn’t mean my barn door swings like that!” She vented her frustration, curled up next to the strong red earth pony. " I just wish they would get that!"
“Eeyup.” The stallion said, his hoof caressing her flank, rubbing her cutie mark gently.
She glanced back into the calm and collective earth pony’s sap green eyes. Slowly, Big Mac leaned forward to kiss the blue pegasus. Rainbow Dash placed one of her front hooves on Big Mac's cheek as they stayed locked in an elongated embrace.
"I wish we could be like this forever!" She said, breaking the kiss and staring into her lover's eyes. Her light cerulean cheeks blushed as his hoof slid in between her haunches.
“Oh! Big Mac!” She said with a giggle.
Rainbow Dash relaxed, forgetting her trouble as waves of pleasure rippled through her body. Big Mac nuzzled her breast gently. She felt her nipples harden.
“Mmmmm...” Rainbow Dash moaned.
Slowly, the red earth pony positioned himself. His green eyes peered through his light orange mane from between Rainbow Dash’s legs, she blushed again.
Leaning in, Big Macintosh’s tongue lightly touched Rainbow Dash’s clit. She felt the pleasure rip through her body with each lick that Big Macintosh enthusiastically bestowed.
“Big Mac... Fuck me!” She demanded, glancing down at her crimson lover.
Big Macintosh’s eyes met Rainbow’s. He lightly wiped the multihued pegasus’s excitement from his muzzle.
Taking position standing on her hind legs with her flank in the air. Waving her rump, Rainbow Dash said.
“Come on. You know you want it!”
The red earth pony’s eyes went wide for a second, his bulge becoming ten times as firm.
“Eeyup!” He cried out with a smile.
Rising on his hind legs, his front hooves on Rainbow Dash’s flanks, the red earth pony slipped inside the warm-wet Pegasus. He could feel her surrounding his manhood with her soft-tight walls, his manhood buried itself deep inside her. Rainbow Dash gasped as the entirety of Big Mac’s shaft slid deep inside.
“Oh now I know why they call you Big Mac!” She joked.
“Eeyup, but yall already knew about that.” He said, picking up speed.
With each pump of the powerful earth pony’s cock, the colorful pegasus's voice rang out.
“Oh!”
“Big!”
“Mac!”
“That!”
“Feels!”
“AWESOME! ”
Her wings would flutter involuntarily to match his rhythm and speed as pleasure assaulted her. Feeling herself getting closer to orgasm, Rainbow Dash moaned more with each stroke of the gentle stallion.
The big earth pony was now going faster and harder, Rainbow Dash used her wings to match his force and speed.
“Eeeeeeyyyyup. EEyup! Eeyup!” The red pony cried, spilling his thick-warm juices inside the panting-blue Pegasus.
Curling back up next to Big Macintosh, Rainbow felt better.
“Big Mac?” Rainbow Dash said, a sensual tone to her voice.
“Eeyup?” He asked.
“I love you!” She said, nuzzling his muzzle before falling asleep next to him, her warm body glued close to his.
Smiling, he looked at the blue Pegasus as she slept, she looked beautiful. Slowly drifting to sleep himself, he thought about how happy he was with her.
Waking up had not been pleasant; The scream of Applejack seemed deafening in the barn.
“Good heavens! Rainbow, Big Mac. What are yall doin?” She stammered, closing one eye and quickly backing out of the barn shutting the door behind herself. Big Mac held Rainbow Dash close as she started to cry.
“Why does AJ hate me so much these days?” She fought through tears to say.
He replied. “Aj don’t hate yall. Why not try talking to her? Yall spend so much time doing yer weather duties and spending time with me these days, she don’t even know where you go or what you do.. Yall used to be.... closer, ya know?”
Pausing a moment to collect her thoughts, Rainbow Dash realized what Big Mac had said made sense. Applejack had always been a good friend of hers, she didn't want to lose her friend due to mistrust, that is the quickest way to lose a ponyfriend forever, so she made up her mind.
“You’re right, thanks!” She said, feeling her element of loyalty burn through tears as she burst out the barn door.
“Eeyup! That’s my Rainbow.” Big Mac said to himself as a sonic-rainboom exploded, tearing the door off its hinges. Big Mac sighed, picking up a hammer that was on a table near him.
Rainbow Dash had not had to fly very far to find Applejack bucking a tree.
“Uhhh Aj?” Rainbow Dash said, flapping up to the yellow earth pony.
“Oh uhhhhh…. Hey Rainbow! How are yall doin?” Applejack struggled to find words, her eyes looking everywhere but at Rainbow Dash.
“Look. About what you saw……..” Rainbow Dash started to say, only to be cut off by Applejack
“Yall don’t need to tell me if you don’t want to.” She said, finally looking into the cool blue pegasus's eyes. “Sorry I barged in like that.”
“No. It's fine, You should know.” Said Rainbow .“I love Big Mac. He sees the real me.”
Applejack looked upset, her gaze turned toward the ground as her ears lay back.
“Sorry Rainbow. Yall are a Real good friend, yall should know you don’t need to keep secrets from me, no matter what they are! Instead of letting me find out on my own, you could have told me.”
Rainbow Dash started to cry again. “I’m sorry AJ I value your friendship. I Didn’t know how you would react if I told you.”
Applejack hugged Rainbow Dash, bursting into tears herself.
“Well.. It's not like I been the best friend either” She said.
Holding each other for a moment, the tears subsided.
A slight breeze blew through the Apple Orchard making the rows of trees seem to dance in the gentle breath. They heard a faint scream as they saw Fluttershy in the distance.
“Is that...... Fluttershy?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“I better go say hello.”Applejack said. "I am glad we talked Rainbow."
She turned to walk away.
Glancing back at the barn, Rainbow Dash saw Big Macintosh fixing the damaged barn door. His muscles rippled through his fur in the bright sunlight. She blushed as Big Mac saw her, shooting a smile in her direction.
2 Months Later
Rainbow Dash awoke to the golden rays of Celestia raising the sun, glimmering into her new home in Appleoosa. Big Macintosh lay next to her, already awake his bright green eyes examined her body hoof to mane. With a smirk, Rainbow Dash threw herself onto Big Macintosh. She had no trouble pining him down with her hooves, the powerful red stallion unresistant to her efforts. Rainbow Dash positioned herself on top of the crimson earth pony, adjusting her haunches till she could feel his bulge.
The red stallion looked up at the multicolored pegasus, the golden light struck her mane giving her an aura of beauty, she spread her wings, adjusting her body so it dropped a little and he slid inside.
The enthusiastic pegasus didn’t hold back as she bounced on the hard earth pony cock. She screamed out Big Macintosh’s name as she rode on the earth pony under her control. Her wings flapped, helping her increase the force of each thrust going inside her.
Big Macintosh flipped positions. Easily overpowering the small pegasus, he pushed her on her back. Her legs wrapped around him as she felt the entirety of his stallionhood slipping inside. Rainbow Dash was moaning more intensely now. Big Mac increased his pace. He felt himself pulsing, the blue pegasus was warm and tight but she managed to take every inch of him deep inside herself, moaning with every thrust. Big Macintosh felt Rainbow Dash tighten. He came, leaving his sticky goo inside her. Rainbow Dash felt the warm liquid fill her a moment before Big Macintosh withdrew his cock; She started to cum. Big Macintosh saw his thick white liquid mixed with clear rainbow colored jizz, leaking from the pegasus’ tight hole.
“Eeyup! You even cum rainbows, Dash!” The red pony snickered.
The blue Pegasus sat up flapping her wings a few times then covering herself with them. Her hoof covered her mouth and she giggled. A red tint started to wash her face.
"Yeah uh... I guess I had a Rainbowgasm! " She exclaimed. Putting the hoof that had covered her mouth out in a sort of 'power pose'
The red earth pony leaned in toward the hardly ever shy pegasus and said four simple words.
“I love you Dash.”
A single tear of joy streaked down the now blue again cheek of the pegasus, she slowly leaned toward Big Mac to give him a kiss.
“I love you too” She affirmed.

The Price Of Love:The Cost of Loss
Rainbow Dash trotted back down the sterilized hallway behind the white mane unicorn. His bleach white lab coat draped off his flanks, halfway covering the red cross he had for a cutie mark. The hallways held the lingering smell of antiseptic and the memory of critical condition ponies that had been rushed down it in the past. Posters and medical diagrams littered the walls at regular intervals seemingly more taunting in the bright fluorescent light of the hospital. Walking past several rooms which held resting injured ponies Rainbow Dash had never been more upset. Each room sent flashbacks of Big Macintosh laying in the dusty Appleoosa street.
Rainbow Dash followed behind the doctor pony as he entered double doors leading into a brightly lit room where Big Macintosh lay bandaged on a bed. A web of electronic components enveloped his body, snaking out toward machines monitoring the red earth pony’s vital signs.
The red stallion sat nearly mummified in the bland décor of the hospital. Light from the setting Appleoosian sun spilled in through the large windows that adorned the far wall. The red pony peered out the window. He sat lost in his thoughts on the white hospital bed that across from the windows. He was surrounded by complex machines that whirred out data with beeps and faint hums. Some machines spat out long streams of papers, recording the stallion’s bodily functions. As the massive metal doors swung open with a light creak, Big Macintosh turned to greet his visitors. The injured red pony’s head swiveled coming to a rest when his eyes met Rainbow Dash’s. The machines monitoring his heart rate slightly peaked when Big Macintosh’s gaze fell lower examining the beautiful pegasus' body. The doctor pony casually turned to walk out the door.
“I’ll give you some privacy.” He said as his white flanks disappeared through the twin metal rectangles.
Rainbow Dash approached the bedside of Big Macintosh. Gently she placed a hoof where the gaping holes had been ripped in her lover’s body. Clean bandages now covered Big Macintosh’s battered figure. The doctors here had done the best they could with limited equipment, he was alive but Rainbow Dash hoped Canterlot could do more. The strong earth pony lightly winced as Rainbow Dash touched his chest. Tears welled in Rainbow Dash’s eyes waiting for the moment they would break free, gushing down her cheeks. Big Macintosh looked up into the demoralized pegasus’ eyes, comforting her with a smile.
"It's..... Not as bad as it looks." He lied.
“Why?!” She demanded, with tears now flowing out. “Why did they do this to you?”
Big Macintosh was silent. He looked as if his thought process was running full blast. A moment later he looked away from Rainbow Dash, closing his eyes.
“I…….I Can’t Tell you Dash.” The red earth pony said with shame to his voice.
“CANT TELL ME?” Rainbow Dash said. Sadness quickly turned into a half rage toward the world.
“I thought you would die! I watched you dying! ” She screamed, fighting through the tears draining from her eyes harder now than ever.
“If it hadn’t been for me getting Braeburn then…….” She stopped, unable to finish.
Big Macintosh wore an expression of sadness now also. Looking back toward the blue pegasus, he knew how the truth would affect her. He knew Rainbow Dash’s personality, the prideful blue pegasus would never let it go but he simply could not bring himself to voice the truth. Rainbow Dash and Big Macintosh sat quietly, holding each other close. The beeps and hums of medical machines drowned the silence, their monitors constantly flashed out streams of data. Soon the doctor pony stepped back into the two lovers’ presence.
“Miss?” The doctor pony said. “The sky chariot has arrived to transport Mr. Big Macintosh to Canterlot Medical. If you don’t mind, he needs to get some rest now. He is very lucky, but without rest the experience could be very traumatic”
Rainbow Dash looked into Big Macintosh’s loving eyes. She leaned in close to give him a kiss.
Five PonyMedic unicorns now gathered in the room, waiting to take the red stallion away. A dark blue coated unicorn stepped forward, enveloping Big Macintosh in a light green aura before lifting him off his bed and into a stretcher. Two of the other unicorns held it steady with their magic as the body of the heavy pony garnished it. The last two ponies wrapped medical equipment in shimmering lights that carefully floated the expensive machines alongside Big Macintosh. The red stallion looked at the blue pegasus that had been pushed to the back of the crowd during the commotion.
“Just a little something to help you relax.” The doctor said injecting medication into an IV bag that had been slowly dripping into Big Macintosh’s blood stream.
Big Macintosh glanced at his blue lover, Her eyes were pinkly tinted and puffy from crying. Feeling himself drift into a slumber the red pony said the only thing he could think of.
“I will always love you Dash, Remember. “All of what I do is for Us ” he said smiling before slipping into a well needed rest.
That was the second time Big Mac had said that. Rainbow Dash knew what it meant the first time but what did he mean now? Why had those buffalo called Big Macintosh an outsider in Appleoosa? Thoughts raced through Rainbow Dash’s mind as she trotted behind the convoy of PonyMedics transporting Big Macintosh. She almost didn’t realize Braeburn trotting next to her.
“Is Big Mac….. Okay?” Braeburn asked
“Who were those buffalo?” Rainbow Dash demanded
“Gold Horns Gang” Braeburn said sourly
“They been causin nothin but trouble for the new folk in Appleoosa for a while now”
“But everypony knows Big Macintosh in Appleoosa…..” Rainbow Dash said confused
Braeburn looked at the blue pegasus with a saddened expression, it was the same expression Big Mac had given her when she asked why he had been attacked. For the rest of the trot Braeburn was silent. The elevator had been too small for Rainbow Dash to ride with them to the top, instead she flew up arriving even before they did. Waiting on the roof of the hospital the white sky chariot looked majestic, a red cross had been painted on top. Canterlot Medical was a prestigious establishment with all the proper funding and more healing options than anywhere else in all of Equestria. Rainbow Dash had not had to wait long before the Ponymedics burst open the door quickly pulling Big Macintosh in tow behind them. Loading the sleeping earth pony into the back of the chariot with medical equipment of its own. one of the pegasus ponies pulling the chariot quickly spoke.
“Are you riding too?” He said. "Room for one more"
Looking back at Braeburn he had a dim expression on his face. Big Macintosh and Braeburn had always gotten along well. Playing in the early summers when they were colts drew them close to each other. The duo spent their teenage years getting in fights, and usually coming out on top but always having a good time. Continuing to work together as they both grew into strong work ponies the two were not just family but also very close friends. It pained Rainbow Dash to see Braeburn get left behind.
“No” she said “I’ll Meet you at Canterlot Medical”
