Missing In Action (male reader X Princess Luna)

April 9, 2565, 14:22 hours

Canterlot Castle, Equestria

You were hanging out with the princesses and Shining Armor. It was after one of the big important princess meeting thing, so you all could have a good conversation. Plus, you had nowhere else to be. You all were talking about the mission where you had to fight The Banished.

"So, auntie," Cadence said to Celestia, who was not biologically her aunt, but in an adoptive way. "Where you Okay?"

"Yes, I was," Celestia said. "After kicking some alien ass."

"Come on," you said. "I saved YOUR ass multiple times."

"What?" Shining said, offended. "I set off the explosives killing all the aliens anyway."

As you three started to argue, Luna yelled "STOP!" in the Canterlot voice.

"It was all a team effort," Luna said.

"Fine," you three said in response to Luna's statement. Cadence giggled at her husband being an idiot.

"But on the topic of combat," Luna said. "Cadence, when do you plan on beginning your royal combat training."

"Ummm," Cadence said. "Never? Is that a possibility?" Luna and Celestia looked at her

"But the training is required as a princess," Celestia said.

"I know, but what's the point for me fighting," Cadence said. "I don't want to lead battles or anything like that."

"Maybe for self-defense if you get attacked," you suggested.

"I have guards for a reason," Cadence responded.

"Self-defense if all else fails?" You suggested again.

"Look, I know I should do the training," Cadence said. "But I can't. I'm a pacifist."

"Oh," Celestia said. "Then why didn't you say so?"
Cadence was about to respond when a guard ran in and said "Princesses, there have been multiple attacks on villages on the outskirts of Equestria, and the invaders where Changelings, but they were red."

Celestia's face turned into shock and fear. "Oh no," She said.

"Also, we couldn't find any bodies," the guard also said.

"Well because of that reaction, you know who it was," Shining said. "So, spill the beans."

"The leader of those Changelings name is Inferonia," Celestia said. "She is one of the most brutal changeling queens. When she was just an egg, she was accidentally dropped into lava, but she lived. When she hatched, she was the first fire Changeling, meaning she was fireproof, and even lava couldn't hurt her."

"Great" you said. "A fireproof bug. There goes the easiest way to kill them."

"But, that's not all," Celestia continued. "She and her hive when village by village, attacking and stealing the love of its inhabitants, then she would keep them and torture them in almost a sexual kind of way, just to get more love out of them, while causing harm to the victim. Then when she was done playing with them, she would kill them. No questions asked. So, 3,000 years ago she and her hive where hidden under a volcano. Only she could escape, but apparently her hive evolved and obtained the fireproof trait, so they escaped."

"I have an idea on how to stop her," you said. "Because he is invading villages, I will hide out in one, and based on what I read that Changeling Queens always spearhead their attacks, I'll have a nice angle to get a head shot and kill the queen."

"It seems crazy, but it might work," Shining said.

"Good," you said. "Then I'll leave as soon as possible."

April 10, 2565, 06:07 hours

Another small village

You arrived at the village at the next day. With you, you had brought your armor, your sniper rifle, a newly forged Assault Rifle, and an active camo unit. You decided to be on the hill side by the village, just so you didn't draw any attention or cause panic. You where there for about ten minutes, when you heard a buzz of insect-like wings. The Changelings had arrived. You ran down to the village and swapped you sniper rifle for your assault rifle. When you saw the first Changeling, you saw that he (or she, they all looked the same) was different from what Celestia had described.

(just imagine this as an anthro Changeling)

His heat signature was also different. Instead of being cooler than a normal Equestrian, it was the opposite, extremely hot. He looked at you and ran up to attack. With a quick twitch of your finger, he was dead on the ground. You climbed up one of the buildings to find the queen and take the shot. You found her easily, due to all the Changelings around her. But that just made the shot much more difficult. She was looking over her changelings extracting love from the victims. But what you saw next was even more horrifying. After extracting all the love from the unfortunate, the continued the process. The pink tendrils that was coming out of the poor guy turned blood red. Then he started to change. The guys pelt turned into chitin, he grew insect-like wings, and his horn became a very sharp point. That's why there were no survivors. They all were turned into Changelings. You were about to pull the trigger when to queen said one more, over there. Oh shit. You got up and made a beeline out of there. When you turned to corner, you activated your active camo unit, making you invisible. But the Changelings still followed you. Then you realized that they could sense the love you had. So, you ran around for a while, getting tired, but you had a plan. You sharply turned a corner and jumped into a huge lake of mud, while tuning on your re-breather. You sunk to the bottom sitting there. You turned on your thermal vision to see what was going on. You saw the head signature of a huge Changeling Queen walking over to the mud pile. You hoped that the mud would cover up your scent, because if she found you, you couldn't get away. After what seemed like forever, she walked away and left with her Changelings. For the next three hours, you sat there because you wanted to make sure that the Changelings had left. You thought if the people who were turned into Changelings where put into a slave existence, like the Promethean Knights, or they could still think, but they were blinded by the need for love. You assumed it was the latter. You got out of the mud and ran to the rendezvous point. When you got there, you tried to talk to the princesses about what had happened, but you collapsed of exhaustion. You were tired, low on ammo, and covered in mud to a point where you couldn't even see well out of your visor. You tried to talk again but you couldn't. You were too tired.

"(y/n), do you think you can make it to the train," Luna asked.

"I will need help," you faintly said. Luna helped you get up, and she helped walk you over to the train.

"Now, get your rest," she said to you as you laid down on a bed (after removing your armor of course, but you still had cloths on). You fell asleep withing five seconds of closing your eyes. Little did you know, you had a gash on your right leg.
