Canterlot Castle, Equestria

You, Shining, the princesses, and Chrysalis where in the war room (The castle surprisingly had one), trying to figure out a plan to stop Inferonia. You had your helmet on, and under it you were giving Chrysalis a death glare. Luna told you about all the terrible things she had done, and you hated her instantly. Somehow, Chrysalis found out looked at you and said, "What's his problem."

"He doesn't forgive people for doing bad things easily," Celestia said

"Why is that," Chrysalis said

"Because my job was to kill the most dangerous war criminals and enemy leaders," you said. "You are a war criminal, so I don't like you very much."

"What makes you think you can beat me?" Chrysalis said trying to mock you.

"The fact that I have over 400 confirmed kills, where about one hundred of those where high value targets," you said. "I've fought against aliens that towed over us; I've survived battles where most of my brothers in arms died in. I have survived numerous injuries, survived a composer, and survived the most terrifying thing in the galaxy- the Flood. You are just another target for me."

"Then why don't you kill me then," Chrysalis said angrily.

"Because you never did anything to me, only to them," you said while pointing at the others. "If they wanted me to kill you, I would do it without hesitation, but they don't."

"Then why do you want to kill Inferonia?" Chrysalis asked. "By that logic, you should hold not grudge against her."

"She may have not done anything directly to me, but when I was given the order to kill her, I was assigned a squad of soldiers. And what she did to those soldiers makes me mad, because just turning them into something they are not is horrible," you said.

"Then how come the princesses are not as pissed about it as you are?" Chrysalis said.

"Because they never seen what I've seen," you said. I've seen the Flood, and they must turn others into flood to survive. Changelings do not, making it extremely unethical," you said.

"Quick question," Cadence said. "None of us actually know what the Flood is, and you are referencing them a lot. Can you please tell us who or what they are?" Twilight immediately took out a notepad and pen.

"OK," you said. "The origin of Flood started more than 10,000,000 of year ago when-"

"She asked what the Flood was not how they came to be," Celestia said.

"You have to know their past to understand what they are," you said. "Anyway, about a 10,00,000 years ago, a race called the precursors existed, the creator of all sentient life.

"All life?" Twilight asked. "Even us?"

"Yep, you, me and any other sentient creatures where created by the precursors," you said.

"But our history does not go back 10,000,000 years," Celestia said.

"There is a reason for that, and I'll get there," you said "But at this time, the Precursors held something called the Mantle. Whoever held the Mantle was responsible for protecting all life in the galaxy. At this time in the galaxy, the most advance races where the ancient Humans and the Forerunners. The Precursors planned on passing on the Mantle to the Forerunners, but deemed them unworthy. So, they began planning to eradicate the Forerunners. But the Forerunners found this out and attacked the Precursors, killing most of them. But some of them turned themselves into a powder like thing, to stay dormant until they could come back again. But this powder mutated, and a long, long time after this event the Humans found the powder, but scans on it showed it was harmless. So, the Humans fed it to their pets. But little did they know this powder was now the Flood. Their pets began acting odd and aggressive, weird growths on their bodies. This eventually evolved into the modern Flood, and the Humans had to destroy Forerunner planets to stop the spread of the infection. The way the Flood infect, is very disturbing. One of the ways they do it is that they use infection forms, which are little spider like things, which latch on to a victim, tear open its chest and taps into it nervous system, and begins repurposing the victim's body into a combat form, giving the victim extreme mental and physical torture. Then the Flood goes through the victim's memories to find if they have any useful information. But as they go through, they delete the memories. After that, the Flood gains all the knowledge and abilities the victim had. But if a Flood hive is constructed, then Flood spores are made, which also can infect a victim. And getting the Flood super-cell into a body also infects it. The Flood also gather bodies to construct a Gravemind, which is the Flood central intelligence. Once completed, the Gravemind gains all knowledge of the former ones due to Precursor neural physics.

"That is terrifying. Having to fight through hordes of those things," Luna said

"Yeah," you said. "Now to answers Celestia's Question, the Forerunners constructed these super weapons called Halos. They were used to indirectly combat the Flood by wiping out all sentient life in the galaxy, and forcing the Flood to be dormant, where decomposition eventually kills it. So, the Forerunners where forced to use it and all life in the galaxy perished. But the Forerunners had a plan to fix the damage they had done. After the Flood where gone, Pod-like things would use the DNA stored from each race they knew about to create the species. The pods would then land on the species home worlds and let them live and re-evolve."

"That's why our history doesn't go that far back," Celestia said.

"That was nice and all, but can we get back to the topic of Inferonia," Chrysalis said.

"Right, my bad," you said. "So how do we navigate a Changeling hive.?"

Chrysalis got some paper and pens. "Pay attention," She said. "This is going to get confusing."
