Princesses Celestia and Luna were walking down the halls of Friendship Castle to a side exit, as the front gates would be much too public for the sisters to leave without somepony noticing the white pony’s newfound foalishness. Said white pony was currently bouncing around with glee, whilst her sister was merely lost in thought.

When they approached the door, it began to open, causing the excited princess to stop and stare as two other ponies entered with pleasant smiles on their faces, but which turned to expressions of fear and obedience as they saw the royal sisters.

“O-oh, your highnesses!” The sapphire-coloured unicorn said frightfully as she bowed.

“Princesses,” The other unicorn, periwinkle in coat, said calmly, if a little confused by the royals’ behaviour.

The greetings snapped Luna out of her reverie, allowing her to notice the two ponies standing at the doorway. “Ah, Trixie Lulamoon and Starlight Glimmer, if We are not mistaken,” She started, failing to notice her sister’s bewildered, but excited expression. “Allow Us to greet thee, but-” She was cut off when her aforementioned sister’s excitement got the better of her, and she ran forward and hugged the two unicorns tightly, causing them to nearly go into shock and the indigo princess to put a hoof to her forehead and sigh in light irritation.

Celestia pulled back and looked at the unicorns, greeting them with mirth, “Hi guys!”

The cerulean and pink mares looked at the solar pony in utter bafflement until her sister interrupted, “Apologies for mine sister’s eagerness, she is currently unwell.”

“I... can tell...” Starlight replied flatly.

The white pony frowned after a couple seconds of silence between the four ponies, then shivered slightly.

“Is anything the matter, ‘Tia?” Luna said at her sister’s apparent fear.

“Um, yes,” The other alicorn started as she turned to face her sister. “Everything seems so scary when I’m this big, Lulu,” She explained, somewhat frightened.

“We suppose that makes sense,” The lunar princess responded as she put a hoof on her chin and closed her eyes in thought.

“Um, Trixie thinks there may be a way to fix that...” Trixie interrupted hesitantly, bringing both princesses to look at her in slight confusion. “Trixie knows there are size reduction spells...” She continued.

Celestia gasped, the smiled in happy anticipation as she looked to her sister. “What do you think, Lulu?”

“We believe that could work,” The indigo pony replied after a few more moments of thought.

The solar mare then bounced up and down in glee for a few seconds, cheering, “Yay! Yay! Yay!” The other ponies laughed from the sight before the alicorn settled down and eagerly asked, “Okay, so can somepony do the spell on me?”

The ponies chuckled again before Starlight stepped forward. “I got it,” She said and started to channel magic through her horn. The white mare stood still at looked at the unicorn in fear and anticipation as her horn charged up, the shot a beam of cyan energy at her. It felt odd when it hit her, like it was engulfing her and lightly pressing on her from all directions, and, soon enough, it started shrinking her.

The lavender unicorn continued to shrink Celestia down, only relenting when she was a bit larger than a foal. The alabaster mare then looked and moved around to get used to her new size for a minute, eventually stopping and running over to hug the unicorn.

“Thank you, Starly!” The princess beamed, clearly appreciative of her new size.

Starlight returned the embrace and amusedly said, “Of course, Celestia.”

The hug lasted for a few more moments before the white alicorn pulled back and looked at the other unicorn. “Trixie,” She addressed somewhat calmly.

“Yes?” Trixie responded, a little frightened from the change of tone.

Celestia looked at the sapphire mare in thought for a couple seconds, then asked, “Why do you refer to yourself in third-pony?”

The unicorn paused to think before replying somberly, “Trixie does that because she wanted to separate her stage and normal personas, but...” She sighed, recalling how mean to everypony she was as that stage persona, “They have become the same.”

“Oh...” The solar pony said as she saw the pain in the other mare’s face and walked over and hugged her.

“Thank you,” Trixie responded, returning the gesture. “I-”

“Mm, no,” The other pony interrupted and nuzzled her. “I think it’s cute.”

“O-oh,” The unicorn started, blushing from the compliment. “T-thanks, Celestia...” She added as she nuzzled back.

They continued hugging for several seconds before they broke apart and Celestia walked back over to her sister.

“Well then, Trixie and Starlight,” Luna began, “We thank thee for thine company, brief though it was, and what thou hath done for mine sister. But now,” She looked to her sister, “We must get going.”

The unicorn replied in affirmative, letting the sisters go around them and out the door with one last wave from Celestia.

The princesses then stepped onto the streets beside Friendship Castle and looked at each other.

“Now,” The indigo one started as she sat down, “Hop upon mine back.” The request was excitedly obliged by her sister, allowing her to stand up and extend her wings, then begin to flap them and force her off the ground. She then flapped her wings powerfully and rose into the sky quickly as she flew off to Fluttershy’s cottage while her sister screamed in thrill.
