I’m Not Being Cute!

“Alright man. Take a deep breath. You can do this. Maybe she likes you too, who knows? I mean, who wouldn’t like you with your muscular figure, your charming smile, and your ability to put a smile on anyone’s face?” I placed a finger under my chin and flashed a smile at an invisible audience which only made me feel even more embarrassed if Rainbow Dash saw this. I sighed and went to knock on her door without another thought. No answer.

Maybe she’s not home at the moment. As I turned around to leave, a voice called me from above. I recognize the voice and look up to see the gorgeous blue pegasus smiling down at me with her beautiful magenta eyes.

“What are you doing here?” she asked as she landed right in front of me. “And how are you able to stand on clouds? Only pegasi have the ability to do that?”

“To answer your second question, I cast a spell on myself to be able to stand on any surface – such as water, lava, or even clouds – without falling through and plummeting to my demise. Also, I am able to fly without the need of wings due to my magic. Next, to answer the first question, I was wondering if you’d maybe... want to... go out? Maybe at a bar, a movie, maybe get some lunch somewhere?” I blurted out that last response without thinking. You fucking idiot! You’re taking this way too fast! Even Dash wouldn’t move this fast you dumbass!

“Sure.”

I stopped cursing at myself and just stared at her with a dumbfounded expression. “What?”

“I – uh – would like to go out with you.” She lowered her head, but I could see her cheeks blush with a bright red. “M-maybe we can go to a bar? Get a few drinks?”

“Yeah. That sounds good. I’m pretty loaded on bits thanks to you. Uh – do you have any good recommendations?” She looked up at me with a kind smile and the blush still printed on her cheeks. She nods and decides to lead the way.

“Just try and keep up!” And she dashed off before I could get a single word in.

“Damnit, not today!” I blasted off of the cloud like it was a launchpad and caught right up to her. “You’re not gonna beat me this time, Dash! I may not be as fast as you, but I’ve learned how to maneuver better!”

“Ha! Whatever! Speed is all that matters in this race, later slowpoke!” She sped off ahead of me, leaving me in the dust. I tried my level best to catch up to her but only reached a few feet away from her. She turned her neck around and saw me gaining up on her and flashed a mischievous smile at me.

What are you planning you beautiful blue mare? Before I could think of any possible situations she could plan against me, I noticed her swish her tail to the side just briefly to expose her winking vagina. My eyes widened, and my. Jaw. Dropped. I lagged behind until I couldn’t see her anymore. What the actual fuck did I just witness? That wasn’t on purpose or anything right? I saw Rainbow Dash rushing back towards me – laughing! She was laughing her ass off at my expense!

“Hahaha! You should’ve seen your face!” She attempted to recreate the same face I made earlier, but broke it in her fit of laughter.

I sighed. “How about I just open a portal?” I waved my hand in a circular motion and a red portal appeared out of thin air. “After you.” I said, still slightly annoyed at her last stunt.

“Ha! You’re just scared I’m gonna win anyway.”

“Yeah, after you cheated by flashing your pussy at me.” I said in an annoyed tone. She just scoffed and went through the portal and I followed suit.

The bar we entered was rather calm for a bar, but also pretty full. Ponies were drinking at tables and bar stools and some were even playing at a pool table. The entire establishment reeked of alcohol of every kind. Each whiff introduced another beverage: wine, rum, whiskey, moonshine, etc. “Well, how about we take a seat and get ourselves some drinks?” I asked, gesturing to a booth right in front of us. Dash nodded and we sat down in the only empty booth in the entire establishment.

We both ordered a small meal and two shots of the strongest drinks this bar has. “Hey, I know a challenge you can’t beat me at.” As the waitress set out meals and drinks down on our table, I picked up my shot glass and raised it to my eye level and looked right at Rainbow Dash. “A drinking competition.”

Rainbow Dash raises an eyebrow with curiosity. “Oh really? And what makes you so sure you can beat me in a drinking competition?”

I just smiled and replied, “Because, back in my world, I was a pretty heavy drinker. I would drink so much that alcohol basically started to lose its effect on me. Not even the strongest drinks could knock me out, even if I drank the entire bottle.”

This seemed to get Rainbow into the competition mood, because she downed her entire shot in one second. “Come and try me big guy! I ain’t gonna lose to you at anything.” I downed my shot and asked the waiter for six more shots of the same exact drink. She placed them on our table and me and Dash grabbed one of each.

“One!”

“Two!”

“Three!”

We took off and drank every shot like every glass contained a viable liquid that was fundamental to our health. After clearing our three shots, we called over the waitress for another round. She set them on the table and we drank away.

I still didn’t feel drunk after six drinks. However, I noticed Rainbow Dash was starting to teeter in her seat and her eyes were getting groggy. “Hey Dash, you wanna call it quits? You still have a long way to go to beat me. I’m not even drunk yet.”

She glared at me through her alcohol fueled eyes. “I’m not – hic – done yet. I can still take you on!”

“You know, you look pretty cute when you’re drunk, Dash.”

“Shut up! I’m not being cute!” She took one more shot and she hit the ground hard and passed out cold.

I looked over the table at her sprawled out body. She was still breathing. I decided to finish the last of her drinks and pay the tab. “Excuse me,” I called for the waitress, “can we get our meal to go?”

“Damn Rainbow, you’re pretty weak when it comes to alcohol, huh?” I looked at her small, fragile figure in my arms. She looked so cute when she’s asleep. I managed to make it back to her house before dark. Man am I lucky I can creat portals. I placed Dash on her bed and pulled the covers over her to protect her from the cold. As I turned around to leave, I could her her voice whispering into the dark:

“Don’t leave me Sam. I love you.”

I’m sure she wouldn’t mind if I stayed for the night? I took off my shoes and laid myself right next to Rainbow Dash; running my fingers through her soft, blue fur. It’s almost like touching a cloud. You can tell yourself you’re not cute all you want, Dash, but we both know what you’re really like. I rested my face into the back of her head and drifted to the realm of sleep.
