"Cayde! Cayde! CAYDE!" A small ball of floating machinery yelled

"5 more minutes" the grumpy hunter said as he rolled over

"Cayde, we died. We're in a new world and I dont sense any other Guardians or technology anywhere." The machine said

"Wait, you're right. You died, I died.....wait how am I here? What is this place?" The Hunter looked to see he was in a clearing in some forest.

"It appears to be a forest with a very odd type of energy to it. Similar to light. But slightly different and...sinister" the Machine said

"Ghost, stand by for resurrection. Let's go check this place out" Cayde said

They walked off into the wooded abyss

"So what do you think happened? Were WE Resurrected by an unknown force? We're no longer in the prison. Or anywhere near the solar system. We dont even seem to be in the same region of space as the constellations are otherworldly." The ghost questioned

"You have a point. But let's first see if this planet has any intelligent life. I'm hungry and I can really go for something to eat" Cayde put his hand on Ace of Spade's. "Wait. How do I have my gun. Didn't that ugly bastard take it?" Cayde asked to no one specific.

"Cayde, reading life signatures 8 o'clock." His ghost said

"You're a lot more talkative than I remember." Cayde said

"You were always talking to your friends. I just didn't feel the need to join the conversations." The ghost replied

"What the-" Cayde said as he seen an odd sight.

In front of him a Faded yellow mini horse with wings and a pink mane walked down a path. Just barely illuminated by the moonlight.

"Should I get close, it seems to be humming a form of melody. That's a sign of intelligence. Maybe it can give us a clue as to where we are" Cayde suggested to his ghost.

"It might be a good idea, but say it be hostile it might be a bett-h-hey...Cayde!" The Ghost yelled at Cayde

The horse turned around at the noise.

"Look, good job. Now it's aware of us." Cayde said sarcastically

It seemed to scream and run off.

"WAIT! I'M NOT GONNA HURT YA! I ONLY WANNA KNOW WHERE I AM!" Cayde yelled

"WAIT, IM NOT GONNA HURT YA! I ONLY WANNA KNOW WHERE I AM!" The mysterious creature yelled

'It speaks perfect equestrian but I've never seen a creature like that. I gotta find Twilight!' Fluttershy thought to herself as she checked to see if the creature was still behind her. It wasn't.

"Oumph!" Fluttershy ran head first into a timberwolf "oh no" was all she could mutter before turning and running the other direction only to be cut off by another timberwolf "HELP!!" She screamed

"Well that didn't work. I wonder if this path leads to a town or something" Cayde said

"Judging by it's condition it's traveled almost daily. So you might be on to something" His Ghost replied

"Well let's continue then. Find a town and hopefully a way back to the Vanguard. Wait, I remember dying....is this an afterlife?" Cayde pondered making a very dramatic thinking gesture

"Cayde, we need to be serious we're in foreign territory and on a planet we dont know." His ghost scolded him

"This is my serious face, can't yo-" Cayde was cut off

"HELP!!" A mysterious feminine voice yelled

"Ghost, stand by for resurrection. I don't know who you are but you clearly are in trouble, and as a Guardian it's my job to keep you safe." Cayde said to himself as he sprinted to the source of the scream.

"Cayde, im picking up nearly 40 large life forms and one the size of the small equine we encountered a little while ago." The ghost stated

Cayde seen a large group of wooden creatures encircling a small Yellow winged horse. He jumped over the creatures with a double jump and drew Ace of Spades.

*BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG*

Cayde killed a large number of the creatures but after 2 cylinders of ammo he realized he was gonna need something a little more.

"Fluttershy thought this was the end when of nowhere, the creature from earlier landed right next to her. She heard the sound of fireworks and the wolves started dying. After about 12 explosions, the creature stood still in the middle

"If you bad guys don't leave her alone you'll get a taste of a true Hunter!" The creature warned. The wolves stopped and looked at eachother. They all charged the creature at once. "I gave you a chance." The creature said as he was engulfed in a bright light

More explosions went off. Fluttershy watched in fear and awe as this creature managed to single handedly took down a small army of Timberwolves.

The creature turned to stare at her. He walked over slowly and nealed next to her. She flinched a little as he got closer.

"Ghost, scan her. Does she have any injuries?" The creature said to a small floating machine

"She seems to just have a heightened heart rate." A feminine voice came from the 'ghost'

"Hey, I'm Cayde-6. I'm an Exo Hunter. Who are you?" The creature introduced herself

'This is an odd creature. Most definitely not from this planet. I can't even mutter a word.' She thought to herself still frozen in fear

"Oh c'mon. I'm pretty sure you can talk. Was it not you who screamed for help? You're the one who needed help right? Because if not *whistle* that'd be awkward." Cayde joked a little trying to lighten the mood

Fluttershy nodded 'yes' in confirmation she was the one in need.

"So can you speak or am I scary? How about if I take my hood down? Is that a little less intimidating?" Cayde asked

Fluttershy nodded again. 'Why is his skin so shiny? Why do his eyes glow blue? Why does his mouth glow when he talks?' All things Fluttershy wants to ask but cannot

"Well I'm gonna set up camp out here. Got plenty of firewood. You're welcome to join" Cayde chuckled slightly as he grabbed the sticks from the wolves

There ya have it. That's the first chapter of a new story im writing. It doesn't mean that 'That new car smell' is over. Im just gonna prioritize this one over it for now. Hope fully this gets published first try. Till next time. Ill see ya's
